The accommodation was clean and comfortable The evening meal was, to put it politely, inedible and I refused to pay for it. this was a great pity because in all other respects the hotel was good value.
Good location for visiting D-Day sites. Friendly personnel and good restaurant.
Easy to find; good restaurant; nice relaxed atmosphere. Small rooms; limited breakfast choice.
Locallity to the town centre and access to the historical aspect from WW2.Good parking and a smart hotel.
nothing in particular rooms cramped
Location was good for town and easy to find. The room was basic but comfortable but the hotel was extremely noisy with other guests slamming doors at all hours, often because they had poor catches. A bit on the expensive side given the quality of the room.
Location,Easy to find and close to the city and beach and memorials. The choice of diner could have been better.
The dinner was very good and the breakfast was good
Second time at Logis Le Sainte Mere, ideal position for local area. Made very welcom, the French cuisine was also very good. No complaints at all.
loved the quality of the service and the friendly staff. The overall facility was very accessible and easy to use. The buffet breakfast was excellent value and well organised. We were disappointed with the quality of the basic menu dishes. The evening menu was quite large and complex and the main dishes were poor quality and value for money based on three that we tried.
Location and food There was no shower curtain
The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Although the hotel is a bit older, it was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant was very good as well.
Friendly staff, convenient location, good food in the hotel.
the staff is very frendly, and the food is good, very clean and i recomended
Convenient to D-Day Beaches and Mont St. Michel
The reception and garden terrace areas were lovely and the staff were very friendly and accomodating. The room decor and bedding although clean was very dated and I was a little disappointed given the price. I noticed that some rooms have been refurbished but I did not have the pleasure of staying in one of these rooms. Once all rooms are done I would certainly recommend Cositel
good for 2 star hotel, rooms clean and tidy
honest staff, internet facilities, restaurant, free parking
Plenty of free parking spots in front of hotel and in easy reach of the coast.
Friendly staff, great location, good restaurant
There was nothing to recommend at this hotel. It was dirty, poorly maintained, the furniture in the rooms was old and very worn. We had paid extra for a 'comfort' room - don't bother, the bath jets and controls were so full of limescale they couldn't work. The staff were particularly bad and failed to put right any of the problems with the room, they even claimed not to have any milk for the tray in our bedroom - this is a hotel with a restaurant attached!!! They also do not have private parking.
The rooms were nice, so was the food. The price of drinks, and the few problems we encountered with malfunctions in the shower.
It was excellent the room was of a good standard and the staff helpful and food first class.
Lovely hotel in just the right location for what we wanted.
The hotel location is good, close to many points of interest. The bed was really comfy. All the features were contemporary: nice, big shower, translucent sink, pristine separate toilets. They had obviously made an effort in decorating and styling the rooms all in olive green and brown tones. A disappointment. We had selected this hotel as it was a 'Hotel de Charme'. When we arrived we were ushered into a brand new purpose bit building where they had managed to fit 5 rooms. Despite the rooms being well appointed, it was not the charming atmosphere we expected. Rooms like many visited on business purposes - comfortable yet without character. The first room we were given was huge with a beautiful open plan bath but too noisy (wooden stairs + banging front door) so we asked to change. Our next room was half the size, over-heated and full of mosquitoes! Service was indifferent and questions answered laconically. The expensive breakfast lacked of choice (and clean cups) with flies everywhere and staff busy preparing tables for lunch.
Comfortable, clean room at a good price. I was touring the area and only needed an adequate place to stay. This hotel met my needs. Location relative to Saint-Lo city center
Room was clean and quiet, and as described. Disappointed to discover that the associated restaurant was closed for a week or so during our stay - would have preferred to have been advised at time of booking, or at least at check-in.
Excellent stopover on way to and from ferry. Good breakfast and good value restaurant adjacent.
Friendly family run hotel. Very nice stay. Rooms excellent.
2 star hotel with 4 star facilities
It was convenient for onward journey. Good breakfast for that type of hotel. The address given on booking could not be identified by our Sat Nav. Had it not been for good signage on the route into St Lo we would have had trouble finding it. Location, although convenient, not attractive. Not somewhere you would stay to relax.
The woman at reception was pleasant, very helpful and a credit to your organisation.
Nice new facilities, helpful staff
Staff were very welcoming and particularly anxious to help. Very friendly.Very good breakfast. We had used the hotel before and will use it again.
Modern with good lighting Difficult to find and good way from centre. The room refreshment assortment was meagre only one sachet of coffee for 2 people.
Uitstekende service van het personeel.Perfecte Internetverbinding.Good value for money, good service and a great Internet.Goede eetgelegenheden op loopafstanden Bison was the best.Goede uitvalsbasis om de d-day stranden te bekijken. Nothing whatsoever.
Olivier, the host, was very friendly & helpful about giving pointers about things to see & do in the area. The breakfast breads were especially good, and our room was quiet. The shower was one of the best we used in France this trip. I highly recommend La Pocatiere!
Easy to find, clean and tidy, food good, well situated for touring, owners very helpful and accomodating.
The couple running this hotel were extremly pleasant helpful and very friendly, Highly recommended
The room was clean and the hotel located not so loud place. The personal was very kind.
We could here the running water from the sink and shower in the neighbouring room and they could here our shower too to the point that they complained that we were making excessive noise. I expect the walls between the rooms require better sound insulation.
The staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful.Gave us information on how to get to various places of interest. Everywhere was clean and well maintained with an overall impression of calmness. Will definitely visit the Hotel again.
Room arrangement for a family of 5 was good, staff were helpful and friendly. No breakfasts allowed in room, but we could have used the tables in the dining room if we had wanted to.
A very nice family-owned hotel. Very friendly and helpful landlord and landlady. Very clean and tidy rooms. Excellent value for money. My husband and I stayed for three nights and had a large room on the top floor with separate showerroom and toilet. Only 5 minutes walk to town centre. Hotel has own carpark - free of charge.
Rudeness of the staff!!
Friendly staff, good restaurant food and service and the best breakfast spread we had all week! Rooms were small and basic, but quite adequate for our needs.
Hot croissants at breakfast. Friendly reception.
Friendly reception. Open all night. Breakfast was very good.
Good location for visiting D day beaches
The room was big with a seperate toilet and shower room. The breakfast was meager, for 8.5 euros the selection was poor. The pricing of the drinks is hefty,9.5 euros for a whisky cola is steep.
Bunk beds in family room were uncomfortable
+clean & tidy - excellent location
The staff were friendly and helpful - location was good Evening meals weren't as good as other hotels stayed at during the week's holiday
God stopover location and accessible from main roads In need of refurbishment - and brightening up. Decor very depressing and public areas dowdy. Expensive for what it was - not just the room but tiny coffees were 3 eutros each
Very nice hotel. Near what we needed to be close to, helpful staff.
Very pleasant place to stay, and the beach in Piru is bril. Staff were excellant. could do with wifi in rooms although it does work sitting outside
Cleanliness Appearance Helpfulness of staff Restaurant high standard None
quite rooms were pretty small. It is okay for a few days but not for longer stays.
Rooms comfortable, evening meal good
Quiet; easy to find; staff friendly. Restaurant was good.
We arrived early evening on the way to our destination ,found the hotel easily which had all the facilities we wanted for an overnight stay and certainly much quieter than many of the other hotels in the centre of town No food was available on a Saturday night after a lengthy journey which was diappointing but with St. Lo just down the road it was no great problem, Far happier to be in this hotel than the others seen
poor ventilation bedrooms due to position noisy + with windows open ? aircon would help
very close to main road routes no food after a long drive, saturdays or sundays. big let down.
The breakfast was the only redeeming feature The rooms were very cramped and had no air conditionning. The toilet seat was broken and we asked for it to be fixed, but this was not done.
Staff on duty on arrival extremely good. Family room was cramped - no tea/coffee making facilties.
Wi-Fi in bedroom.
Very friendly and helpul staff, all spoke English very well. Food was very good standard. Good parking facilities. Relaxed atmosphere. We had a family room which unfortunately had a noticeable musty smell when we arrived. After opening the windows, it cleared to a reasonable level. The rest of the hotel was fine, so maybe we were just unlucky.
Staff were very pleasant and the room quite adequate, also breakfast was good.
I was extremely disappointed to find the restaurant closed, particularly on a Saturday evening. There appeared to be only one member of staff on duty, No restaurant on the Saturday. The room had not been cleaned, the carpet was very dirty. The bed was the hardest I have ever experienced.
The bedroom layout, the ease of finding the hotel. They only had one price for breakfast, the children paid the same price.
It was very warm in the hotel, and opening the window was not an option due to the very heavy streetnoise.
very clean, huge bathroom, good restaurant
good view with historic site
The only good option in the city, the staff and the cleanness. The bar right next to the hotel unleashes every weekend (Friday and Saturday) a bunch of totally drunk people who stay under your window shouting until 4AM.
The hotel was very central - being close to the train station and near to a few bars/restaurants. Our room was at the back of the premises overlooking the station car park which appears to be a meeting place for the local teenagers until the early hours of the morning.
Very friendly front desk staff! They knew English well enough to help us with our stumbling French!!
Easy access by car from anywhere in Normandie Restaurant was below par
Nice view at the river and castle. In the center of town. So hot! No airco for such a hotel is unacceptable for me. The room was not the cleanest (holes in the wall/dirty windows/..).
Very pleasant, friendly staff. Room was adequate and very clean. Good central location with plenty of restaurants nearby. No.
The location is only excellent if you want a quiet place in the countryside. If you're after nightlife, forget it! Lovely lake, nice rooms and the best place we stayed on our trip round Normandy. Loved it.
Beautiful Manoir with lakeside setting, Lovely food available at creperie adjacent to Manoir. Very relaxing break and friendly people both hosts & guests.
staff were wonderful and freindly - will definately book again
The Manoir de La Foulerie is a charming and stylish place to stay. The owners are friendly and helpful and the ambience is excellent. There is also a restaurant with genuine home cooking and a bar, unusual in B&Bs of this type, but in common with other French Hotels and B&Bs there is no hospitality tray to allow guests to brew up a cup of tea or coffee, as would found in most comparable British establishments. Highly recommended as a place of great tranquillity. A good place to chill out.
While the location of the hotel is remote the surrounding countryside and grounds are splendid. The Hotel itself is almost medieval with lots of character. We will certainly go back
The setting was beautiful, staying in a Chateau was magical, breakfast excellent! The Creperie, the chef and the friendly dog all excelled as well! Not being able to check in until 5 pm
The experience of staying in an old manor house. Very adequate creperie/restaurant. Friendly staff, nice surroundings. Economical 2 days. Did not realise it was an activity centre for youngsters - could be a bit noisy.
Traditional decor with lovely stone fireplaces. Very nice owners. Big garden to explore plus lovely beaches approx 20 minutes by car. Bar and restaurant available on site. I would definitely go again.
The manor is bit off the beaten track but if old and full of family history is you, then what a wonderful find - huge fireplaces, winding stone staircase and a four poster bed, to name but a few. Soft furnishings could do with being updated
The unique experience of living in a Normandy Manor house. A friendly host and the extremely pleasant atmosphere at the breakfast table (fire crackling in the large Norman fireplace). The WiFi connection did dot function, but steps were taken to remedy
