Unfortunately my car broke down, so not a good weekend Food was quite expensive for what was on offer
Convenient, good value, clean, with pleasant and helpful staff and good food (dinner). Pricey breakfast at 8 Euros per person, so we didn't bother and just provided our own in-room picnic. The 32 Euros we saved more than paid for lunch at a very nice small Normandy cafe/bar.
The room was clean and fresh with a good sized bathroom and facilities. The staff were helpful when we arrived late at night with a family. Although booking.com had picked this out for a family of 4, there were only rooms for 3.
Enclosed gated car parking, good food selection in resturant, easy to find hotel from Rouen direction. None
The room was clean and, while a little small, quite adequate for our use as a base from which to visit other area attractions. At this time, my wife and I both smoke. We were not aware of the hotel's smoking policy before arrival. Had we known, it might have influenced our decision to stay there for two nights.
Clean and comfortable, restaurant on site Small room, heater spasmodic
Friendly staff, easy access from the highway, larger than average rooms. We had both a bathtub and shower. All worked fine. Breakfast ended too early. A 9:30 or 10:00 would be better. We were on holidays and liked to sleep in.
The setting is tranquil and the village is very picturesque. The hotel is rather expensive: it has no restaurant, a very limited bar facility, no safe parking. The room we were shown into on arrival had not been serviced. The young assistant was confused. We were upgraded. I am not sure how easily the situation would have been resolved had I not been fluent in french.
The ambience was peaceful, rural, luxurious. We were to have stayed in the room called "Paris" but the aircon did not work, so we were upgraded to "New York." We did not ask for this, the concierge insisted. Both rooms were lovely, "New York" was especially luxurious. We enjoyed the terrace with its loungers and the jacuzzi and the decor. Although evening meal was not on offer, it was only a short and pleasant walk to a good restaurant, booked for us by the hotel. When paying the bill, we realised that it was a good idea to take a print-out of one's booking. We had a bargain! I was unjustifiably concerned that as the car park was not visible from the hotel, it was vulnerable. But the village of Jumieges is not like that, I am sure!
The tranquility, the swimming pool, There was a dog in the neighbouring garden which barked all afternoon when we first arrived. The breakfast was rather expensive
luxurious room and nice surroundings
It was the best and available hotel Car parking is not convenient, maintenance glitches in the room, light bulb, bath tub not emptying, shower hanging loose, can't fix its position. At time of making reservation it is not clear that the rooms are in various houses on the premises. No restaurant.
Friendly staff, lovely village, fantastic restaurant only 200 meters away. Quiet place for a getaway. brand new furnishing.
I loved the room they all have a theme. The hotel is very pretty. Staff is friendly. Pity there is now restaurant. The breakfast is ok but expensive. If you ad the breakfast for two people and the room price it is a little over the top.
Peaceful and in the real french countryside.
Extreme courtesy of all the staff. Willingness of staff to accommodate changes to arrangements. Location in very pleasant countryside.
The overall experience is outstanding
Very good value. Conveniently placed. Comfortable and spotlessly clean room. Polite, helpful service. Not overcrowded. Quiet during the night. Breakfast was excellent. It would have been useful to be able to eat an evening meal at the hotel. However, this was only because we stayed Fri pm - the only evening they don't serve an evening meal. MacDonalds and KFC are close by.
The evening meal was excellent and in very chic surroundings The accommodation is too pricey for what it is. Also the service levels did not match the pricing.
Nice design hotel. Renovation not finished yet (July 2009). In the middle of nowhere. Also, it seems like the male couple running the hotel is eager to squeeze every single penny from the guests. Example? Charging a 6 year old kid for breakfast.
The location, beauty and size of the property. Plus the feeling of being in the countryside with the horses on the property. The best part was the meals we enjoyed that were cooked by one of the owners of the property (Jean-Francois). He is an excellent cook. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. There wasn't anything that we didn't like about the hotel.
Tastefully decorated and elegantly maintained countryside hamlet
The food was excellent. The cooking was simply first class. No contest. Friendly and competent staff - we really enjoyed ourselves. We had a power failure on the last night. But... The hotel immediately gave us a 10% discount.
This is a pretty and well-tended country site with some interesting features. Our ground-floor room in a stable-type block was tastefully decorated and equipped with all the necessary facilities, including a kitchenette. A traditional breakfast was served in the homely surroundings of the main house. There were signs that some end-of-season maintenance was due - a loose socket and tap in the kitchenette, a shower head which kept slipping down and a rather off-putting smell of damp in the bathroom. Our main disappointment was that the restaurant was unexpectedly closed, necessitating a tiresome trip into Dieppe at the end of a long day's travel.
The location in a peaceful area and the layout of the buildings. There was no coffee making facility in the room and the restaurant was fully booked so we could not use it.
The peace and quiet. The restuarant was closed, and the nearest place to eat was 20km away.
What a fantastic find! understated luxury, helpful and friendly yet unobtrusive staff, delicious food in amazing setting, large grounds, swimming pool....Attention to detail in every respect makes Clos Masure De Campagne a very special boutique hotel. We hope to return.
Very helpful. Lovely location. Good food. Well designed room. Like it a lot. The walls of the rooms are quite thin.
Convenient location between Le Havre and Rouen. Overlooking the Seine. Excellent restaurant. The tour boats which overnight at Caudebec are noisy (engine noise) during the night. They moor very close to the hotel.
Early morning receptionist very stand offish. The others we met were fine. Compared to hotels in Gt Britain the room facilities were poor. The wash basin was cracked and chipped
A clean comfortable hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Even with our limited French there was never a problem in communication with the staff. The food was magnificent! Unfortunately we did not know in advance about the Music Festival that takes place on 21 June each year in Caudebec en Caux. Very loud and very busy. It did however finish promptly at 00.30 and we were able to sleep afterwards.
The position of the hotel overlooking the Seine. The fact that it was central to the town which was interesting to explore. Did not dine there because the published menu was not appealing and seemed very expensive.
Close to the main road. expensive restaurent decoration work started at 8.00 am already
A clean, comfortable hotel offering very good value for money. The breakfast which cost 9 Euros was also well worth the money. Excellent views of the Seine from rooms at the front of the building.
Location, Good restaurant with good service, 24 hour access The decor was a little shabby
Very comfortable. Good setting and a relaxing overnight stop on our drive from Calais to southern Brittany.
Easy to find, excellant location, good value. Unable to pay by credit card, therfore I had to pay by cash.
The receptionist was very nice and helpful. And she has a very good english. I recommend this hotel.
Very attentive staff, Lovely big rooms perfect for families and big spa pool. Large spa pool but children not allowed in. Small stream runs through the hotel grounds but no fence on side with garden - need to suppervise little children very closely!
Lovely room in a gorgeous setting, Arriving at 6pm on a Sunday and the restaurant was closed as was the whole of the village and anything else within half an hour drive. We booked in for breakfast and the waitress couldn't understand our limited French sk decided we hadn't booked in and tried to ignore us. Not helpful when you have 2 kids with you!!!
The hotel was in a charming location with very helpful friendly staff. The rooms were excellent - perfect for a family. Enjoyed our meal in the restaurant.
Very clean room, relaxing location, excellent traditional French food Had not appreciated that the "suite" meant one double bed and a double sofa bed.
Clean rooms, friendly staff. Hotel close to centre of town. Beautiful historic village. None
Very clean and comfortable. Good restaurant with a fair range of menus. Bath had shower attachment but no shower curtain.
Room clean and tidy. Hotel in good location on edge of town. Secure parking in enclosed courtyard. Excellent four-course dinner for 27 euros. We were not able to gain access to the hotel until 18.00 hrs, despite arriving at 15.30 hrs.; The reception was locked and unmanned. I would advise guests to check this beforehand.
A very good small traditional French hotel, only two hours from the channel ports, ideally situated for an overnight stay. Gourmet menu was excellent, but good choice of meals also available at lower prices.
Good location, and pleasant surroundings, comfortable room and varied menu On arrival found that the hotel was in darkness, with a note on the door advising that to gain access you should tap in your pin number, unfortunately we were not given a pin number. luckily just down the road was another logis hotel who were very helpful and made contact with the la cheval blanc, and gave us a pin no that allowed us access
