Avalon Siem Reap Information
About Avalon Siem Reap
The Avalon Siem Reap by Avalon Waterways is a 200-foot, all-suite riverboat based in East Asia. Built in 2015 and designed to carry just 36 passengers, the riverboat is perfect for solo travelers and for couples looking for a break in beautiful, tranquil surroundings. Guests can immerse themselves in the culture with local cuisine and beers served on the boat, and guided tours of cultural hotspots during port stops. The Avalon Siem Reap sails between Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh City, along the famed Mekong River. Passengers will see historic temples, busy fishing ports, beautiful beaches and thriving cities during shore excursions, which include guided tours of key locations. The route is the perfect alternative to a train or coach journey between the destinations, being far more comfortable and luxurious. The design of the 18 staterooms is a nod to colonial Cambodia and Vietnam, featuring ornate artworks and soft furnishings. Staterooms benefit from the stunning wall-to-wall window design, which folds back easily to create a private balcony with breathtaking panoramic views of the Mekong's scenery. Meals and complimentary drinks are served on board throughout the day, and the 23 helpful crew members will attend to guests' every need. In addition to the spacious private seating areas, the ship features two public lounges including the open-air Sky Deck. There are spa treatment rooms and a fitness center, with state of the art equipment, along with a well-stocked library and games area. When available, guests have Wi-Fi access in the ship's two lounges.
