The special environment of the cave staying and luxury feeling.
the brekfeast on the terrace. the remote locatıon of the hotel
although, the room I booked wasn't available at the time of my arrival, the good hospitality and smile faces, in addition the compensation I was speechless.
The staff was awesome. Excellent hotel. A little far from Urpup.
The excellent service provided by all the staff of the hotel. Being so far away you fell like you were at home. Not the best choice for hadicapped person.
This hotel is located in a small village, built into the rocky hillside - it is truly a magical place! The real Capadocian experience! The rooms are charmingly decorated, and meals are served in a cave restaurant. This was the most special atmosphere hotel we've ever stayed at. The children enjoyed exploring, and the family suite was very cozy and practical. The 6 course menu at the restaurant changed every night and was very well prepared, however there were little choices of typical "kid food". It was nice though to be able to pick your different dishes, and not to be charged exorbitant hotel prices. Starters, soups and deserts were 2 Euros each, and the main course 7 Euros. You can mix and match. The wine was extremely well priced. The only drawback of the hotel is its out-of-the-way location. You have to drive about 10km on country roads to get to Urgup and the region where most of the sights are located. However, that is the reason why you can get a good deal on an excellent hotel. We used a private driver for our tour and didn't mind the 15 min. extra drive.
Had a wonderful staying in the hotel. Rooms are former cave houses but they have all the facilities you can expect for an upper class hotel. The staff is great and they are always happy to give you precious information about the area. The restaurant has a limited choice but it is worth trying: the quality of the food is one of the best in the area.
The place was fabulous, quite and serene located in Ayvali village. Hotel staff was very nice and made sure our stay was comfortable. They provide free shuttle to nearby city Urgup. Also at times, they provided free drop to other nearby towns/tourist spots; which was very helpful. They guided about the place. The breakfast was excellent - one of the best I have seen. However, lunch and dinner has limited choices, since most people ate in extensive restaurants in nearby towns. The room was great with jacuzzi in bathroom. Wi-fi connectivity was poor. Also tour packages were a bit costlier than others available in nearby towns.
Rooms are very clean despite the cramped furniture - however we found a scorpion in the bathroom, due to overgrown windows and doors This is not a 4 star hotel - may be just a 3 star hotel, the website states features not availabe in the hotel(such as spa) , dangerous terrace (electric cables, broken furniture, dirty cushions, dirty table linen, cigarette buds not cleaned for 7 days etc.) very bad food, not at all organic for dinner - breakfast reasonable but cramped in a small room which gets crowded with all the guests only one menu for dinner and no value for money - the atmosphere is more that of a budget hotel staff is sitting and smoking in the lounge area and guests have to wait until they have finished using the Internet before their turn the noise of the staff talking on the terrace is disturbing the guests sleeping in the rooms below opposite hotel: you look onto the rubbish dump of the village on top of the cliff and in the ravine, suprising that the manager of the hotel does not take any influence as the hotel is the largest employer of the village....
Great experience staying in a Cave Hotel. Hotel staff was very friendly. Rooms are very spacious and nice. Big Jaccuzi in the bath room was very relaxing. One has to climb up/down too many steps. It is not recommended for persons having problem in climbing stairs.
This hotel exceeded all expectations. My room was beautiful - spacious, and comfortable and exquisitely decorated. The food at both dinner and breakfast was wonderful. The staff could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. The place is wonderful. Nothing - it is a near perfect place. The one thing I didn't like were the foam pillows on my bed. I requested feather pillows, and they immediately brought me three of them!!!!! The place is wonderful and the service is excellent.
The construction and layout of the hotel is excellent The service was slightly impersonal.
The hotel manager was very accommodating and offered to drive us to local tourist spots like the Open Air Museum, which was very helpful. His pride in Cappadocia and the hotel were infectious. He was friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and the setting was awe inspiring. We couldn't use a credit card to check out because the machine didn't work. Had a challenge getting someone to help with our bags for early morning departure.
Our room was upgraded on arrival to a cave suite. The room was excellent. The hotel was in an ideal situation right in amongst the fairy chimneys. Price - We met 2 other guests who were also upgraded room on arrival, however, they had paid Eur 60 for their room. We actually paid Eur 120. I questioned this on check out and was told that we had been upgraded. I did try to pursue this issue to no avail.
Do not stay here. If you're willing to argue about the rate after you've pre-confrimed it and have absoultely horrible service then stay here. The service. Full stop they try to overchage you for everything, including the room rate.
We love the hotel, very beatiful and the nice view
To live in a cave with modern amenties and luxuries. The ambience of the suite was wonderful. The breakfast was very nominal. It could be made more interesting!
This was a great place well placed to town and the plateau above to see the balloons early in the morning. The room was superb and breakfast wonderful. The staff promised us a packaged breakfast but forgo which is not a big thing but also forgot to tell us that the dining room was only available for dinner by arrangement. Otherwise everything was superb.
wonderful position, very nice staff. the room was great!
The hotel is among the best in Gerome area and our room was a lovely cave room with a beautiful terrace. Though we checked in at 9pm there was no food available as the restaurant was closed and it is a really steep hill to navigate to reach the town for every meal. The restaurant hardly functions and room service is not really available, even for a simple coffee or ice cream. The breakfast spread was good but could have more cooked items.
Everything, the athmosphere, the staff, the owner was very nice, April 3 was the birthday of my husband and he did a cake and sang for him. The place is spectacular, very beautiful decored. There is lack of closets and it was a bit difficult to organize our clothes.
Spa was a real treat and pleasant surprise. Staff is excellent Some areas need updating in order to stay on top
Bathroom Housekeeping. While we were sleeping housekeeping was performed in other room but it was too loud, disturbing us.
the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Yummy breakfast and great spa facilities. We booked a superior double room but were upgraded. Great view from the hotel rooms and resturant.
Very good hotel, rooms, SPA, service and close to Cappadocia's spots.
The spa, the friendly staff, and the resturant. Special thanks to Vedud & Senem.
Excellent Service, Facilities, Warm People Food was average as we did not have much choice in vegetarian though they did try very hard to satisfy us
Hotel staff - excellent / breakfast was good / other facilities were amazing. Nothing - it was perfect
It was a beautiful hotel with attentive staff and a great view.
The log fire in the beautiful cave hotel room THE owner and his wife were very helpfull and friendly
The friendly staff made booking excursions very simple and easy. They also assured easy transport to and from venues. The rooms are absolutely lovely with cave characteristics. Above average breakfast buffet. Would stay there again and recommend to anyone. It could be a difficult place to stay for a person with walking and stair climbing disabilities.
The location and atmosphere of this hotel was amazing - the cave rooms had fire places as well.
Sipping my coffee in the morning chill with a fire on the hearth in my room, a book in my hand and looking out the open door of my room, which was a cave carved in the side of a mountain, at a sky filled with hot air balloons. Stunningly beautiful
The rooftop lounge on what is already one of the highest points in town is magic. The room retains a fairly constant comfortable temperature compared to outside. The plumbing leaves a bit to be desired in that the shower does not drain quick enough.
Friendly staff. Comfortable, interesting, well-furnished rooms
Great place, the rooms are amazing and the staff is very friendly and helpfull. The hotel resotrant has very good food at very reasonable prices. It is even better than the pictures and that is not common in Turkey.
Just a beautiful location, spacious very clean rooms. We could not have been more pleased.
