Pros: So friendly and helpful and she spoke English when she could tell my Spanish was poor. She also had a very nice food and wine store attached. Breakfast was very nice and the rooms were perfect. Wifi was great

Pros: This property was outstanding. It is right off the Camino across from the Seminary on a quiet street. The room was spotless. The beds were oh so comfy. The shower was amazing. I shared the triple twin bed room with another pilgrim and we were very comfortable. The balcony overlooking the street with a clothes line was a bonus for drying our clothes. The hostess was sweet and accommodating and made us breakfast in the morning, which was very good and filled us up for our walk. I highly recommend this property.

Pros: did not have breakfast as we tend not to but what was available looked ok, the access and location were very good and convenient for our needs, and it is likely that we will return.
Cons: we found that the heating during the night to be higher than we are accustomed to and could not work out how to adjust it.

Pros: This hotel is located on the second story of a truck stop. After a long, hot day walking on the Camino de Santiago, I really like the convenience of having a market and restaurant downstairs. The room was very clean, quiet and adequate. The service was wonderful.

Cons: The location. I had no idea that it was a Spanish truck stop. But it was interesting to see how nice Spanish truck stops are. So it was out there and it took me quite a long time to find my way to my next destination.

Pros: Lazaro was kind and very helpful ! Very clean and spacious! Quiet. I asked three times for help from the chambermaid and three times she came and help with a smile. Food in restaurant was plentiful.

Pros: A beautiful hotel with Spanish countryside scenic surroundings. It was much better than the pictures and great place if you want to experience what it would have been like to stay in Spanish castles. the breakfast also very good.
Cons: We arrived in the late afternoon, very hungry, but hotel restaurant was not open, so had to venture out to get some food.

Cons: Room small. I was on the Camino, so only staying one night and very disappointed that the laundry service needed 24 hours notice! We also had a few ants in the 1st floor bedroom, which I guess you can expect in Spain at this time of year.

Logroño is 32 km from HC Alesanco, while Vitoria-Gasteiz is 50 km from the property. Vitoria Airport is 53 km away.

Pros: Very comfortable, peaceful and clean. Not far from the Camino so it is a real possibility for accommodation without going far off the trail.
Cons: We ate in Azofra before arriving in Alesanco, which worked out well.

Rooms at Pensión Calle Mayor are bright and feature parquet floors. Towels, sheets and a daily cleaning service is included, while the properties 2 bathrooms are shared. Some rooms also have a balcony. There are several bars, restaurants and shops within a 5-minute walk of the property. The property is close to the Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage Route and hiking and cycling are popular nearby. The Calle Mayor has free parking nearby and is 10 minutes’ drive from the Rioja Botanic Gardens. Logroño is 30 minutes’ drive away and Burgos is 90 minutes away by car.

Cons: Door into albergue couldn’t be locked which meant that anyone Elsa living in the building had access. Also there was a most unpleasant odour in the hall and kitchen. The shower was hand held over a small bath and the metal on the shower head was broken so you had to be careful not to cut your hand.
