The family who run it our lovely and speak English very well. I felt it could do with some modernising/updating.
Everything was really excellent! Starting by the reception, the breakfest...very clean, confortable rooms.
It's old fasility. The family room is post like a room for two and we pay extra to book a singal room.
Location, room for our dog, small - yet large - city likeness. No - though the heavy rain did paking the car next morning a littel tricky
People were friendly and accomodating. Free wireless internet.
The staff were very friendly. Due to traffic in route we arrived way past check in and were received warmyl after waking up the owner to let us in. We were greeted every morning and received great assistance during our stay. We even extended our stay for an additional night. The beds were nice but I prefer one bed/matress.
The hotel staff was incredibly helpful. They went beyond what is expected and had a constant willingness to offer comfort. It is by far one of the best experiences Ive had so far in terms of hotels in Europe, and has an excellent value for money. Absolutely recommended! Nothing that would stand out as a negative aspect for this hotel
Room was quiet and clean. Good breakfast, fair rates.
All the workers of the Hotel have cordially devoted themselves to us. We could have a pleasant stay. Many thanks.
location, quiet, and kind staff no
very warm profesional staff ,a lot of good will and asistence for every need.excelent breakfast , very good spa facilities.very recomended hote!l
I was with my parents and we had a lovely stay in the hotel. The receptionist was especially nice and went out of her way to explain locations on the map. I would definitely go back
Location, location, location...right in the heart of the city. The service and the food were wonderful and additionally the location offers you a choice of very nice outdoor restaurants, close access to the Isar River, walking, shopping and free parking within 100 meters. Recommend highly.
big clean room, location in the pedestrian way of the city center the wireless access to www, although promised, never worked because of poor signal
Very friendly, clean and good breakfast.
Great family run hotel really friendly with great breakfasts. nothing
Very nice and helpfull staff, clean room, not very far from the center. Breakfast could be better. it was very basic, with out big choices. it was not the best start for the day.
The hotel is a good value for your money. Staff could be a little bit more polite and friendly. I showed up 1,5 hour later than I promised and got severely reprimanded by a receptionist for my not "puenktlich sein". In other circumstances I would turn around and went to other hotel. But for this very date all the hotels in Munich vicinity were fully booked an I had no choice but stay at this hotel. To be honest the next day the staff was much more friendly.
Was located near the Alpamare water park and near the old city. Quite part of town with other small hotels
clean, very friendly
breakfast I don't remember when I stayed last time in hotel without the soap in the bathroom, there was no soap at least. And in whole journey only in your hotel we have additional paying for breakfast for the child who used the exsisting bedding.
extremely friendly staff
The hotel manager who seemed to do everything, a nice older gentleman, was simply always ready to help. And he awlways had a smile. The hotel was so Bavarian and so very cosy in a 1960-70's way--it was timeless!
Location, friendly family-like atmosphere.
Took my parents into Bad Tolze and have a fabulous time. The Hotel was beautiful, the rooms fantastic, modern, bright and comfortable. There was a very informative leaflet in the room regarding tips and trips in the area. I will go back and use this hotel again
Friendly, family run hotel. Excellent breakfast buffet in the morning. Beautiful scenery all around
very comfortable bed
the decoration of the rooms; also the beautiful breakfast room (all in wood with typical decorations from Bayern) the location was a bit far from the destination. However, it would be perfect for guests going to the wellness park Alpamare
A place to stay for retired people. Nothing interesting around.
Very nice and cozy hotel, friendly and lovely hosts. Everything is provided so that clients feel at home. And all this for quite a reasonable price.
Very quiet,friendly and familiar.
It was very familiar, and quiet. No
Clean, still, thanks for providing a parking space. poor breakfast
Excellent breakfast and decent value. Uncomfortable bed.
The food was excellent; the owners were absolutely delightful! Would stay there again. There was nothing to dislike.
The staff was very friendly, helpful, and put themselves out for us many times. It had a nice homey atmosphere. I was on business for this stay, but I am thinking of going back and staying at Altes Zollhaus with my family. The wireless access was spotty. As I was there on business, this was inconvenient. You could get a good connection from the dining room.
Great location! Rooms were really clean and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. If you stay there, try the hotel restaurant - the food was incredibly delicious.
Excellent service. Great food. The room I got was very clean. I would recommend this place to everybody.
The room was fantastic.
Only stayed one night but staff were helpful in respec f making an emergency telephone call and assiting with language difficulties on automated service. Very good location as we had a short pleaewnt wlak to the town centrwhich is very pleasant and worth a visit if you are in the area. We are glad we visited Bad Tolz. Slightlu unsusual room location, out of the main entrance and the next door along with loccked room door opening onto main street in front of hotel. Might not have been staisfies to stayy for longer period in view of potential risk of unauthorised forced entry to room from street. Otherwise no problem, very roomy and had verything we wanted.
not clean enough, very noisy
It was a nice, smaller, hotel (more like what we Americans would call a bed & breakfast) that was only a short distance from the village, but far enough away to offer peace & quiet. The staff was pleasant as well. The wireless access was also awesome. Very fast and reliable. The bed was not the most comfortable, but was manageable.
The beautiful scenery, the friendly staff, and the reasonable prices.
Staff made my friend and I very comfortable.Lovely location, warm, welcoming and modern hotel. Having excellent wi-fi access and a good sized desk in the bedroom was a real plus. Hope to go back again some day and spend longer. A more modern t.v. in the room would really set this hotel apart! Maybe a slightly larger single bed as I kept hitting my head on the wooden wall panel during the night.
the location is wonderful
Great location - very reasonably priced
Very nice single room, very nice breakfast buffet, very friendly staff, excellent quality/price ratio. Only negative point: Unreachable without a car, quite isolated.
Nice location. Great staff who are all friendly and helpful. They made us feel at home and very welcome. The heater and towel warmer seemed to be on a timer as they didn't work early in the morning. It would be great if they had one computer for guest usage as casual travelers don't tend to bring laptops. I find late night at the hotel is a great time to check on bills and email.
The staff is lovely and very helpful and accomodating. The food was great. Our room overlooked the back gravel parking lot, garage and roof of the addition. It really took away from the beautiful sceney. Obviously you have to have a garage and parking lot and roof top, but these areas could be made to look a little nicer. The dining room looks a bit dated.
The location is a bit far from Munich center but an hour by train. It is between little mountains, quite and very green area. Wonderful for families and relaxing. Nice breakfast with full range of foods. All traditional. But make sure that your rooms are really booked for you and tell them how many rooms you are booked. Booking.com can surprise you in a bad manner.
We particularly liked the warm welcome and helpful owners. Excellent breakfast, clean and comfortable room. No complaints whatsoever!!!
The hotel owners are just absolutely the nicest people! They make you feel extremely welcome and help you in any way they can. The rooms were very large, the breakfast was wonderful and so nicely decorated. They have parking which is a big plus for drivers. The town of Bad Tolz is only a short walk away and the stroll along the river is just beautiful.
The most wonderful part of staying at Landhaus Iris is the kind and friendly owners, Mr and Mrs Forster, who make you feel like you are part of the family during your stay. It is truly a home away from home.
Very friendly, welcoming hosts; generous breakfast; charmingly decorated.
Very friendly family, amazing breakfast, comfortable and clean room.
Our hosts were welcoming and friendly and went out of their way to be helpful, providing us with local information and ideas for days out. Breakfasts were plentiful and varied with lots of lovely coffee! We were encouraged to relax and take our time.
very nice staff, clean, well-decorated, good breakfast, allowed late check-out after 30k run
nice staff, beautiful enviroment, clean rooms, center of city is near
The hotel was fantastic and the staff was amazing. Eager to help and so freindly. By far, the best experience I have had on a trip in Europe. A truly wonderful Hotel with a magical staff.
Great hotel with wonderful hosts. Comfortable and spacious rooms are decorated with much love and care. Home furnishings has to rest. A separate thanks are due to the owners - are very nice and caring people. The hotel is very well located - just 5 minutes walk to the park and 10 minutes to downtown. Nearby there are many restaurants for every taste. no
Superb hotel, had a great stay. Good location, great decorations, extremely clean, fantastic breakfast, generous and friendly hosts. Also had a bath (not just a shower) which was lovely and had 'international' pillows available instead of the just the German ones only. Just a very pleasant stay, the best guest house we have stayed in.
Owner operated with emphasis on service and friendliness. Very clean and with good buffet breakfast. Close to town. Would go again. NO
The staff was very accomodating and the food at the restaurant on site was excellent both dinner and breakfast. The location was great for travel into Munich or for skiing! We had a wonderful stay and recommend it for anyone travelling in the area! Need washclothes and soaps in the bathrooms!
No international, english tv channel
Reception service was excellent. Although the kitchen was not open the evening I arrived, the receptionist recommended a wonderful restaurant nearby.
Very friendly staff
could not eat in hotel as large coach party were present. Had to go and find somewhere else to eat.
Very good breakfast with scrambled eggs and beacon, fresh cut fruits, quality jam, etc ... Special hotel news review every morning, well done and useful. Very quiet place. Missing pool/sauna. Small exercise room (but a jogging along the Isar is worth !). Missing a central meeting place, lobby too small. Bad setup of the tv channels.
Located in quiet area of a pretty town. Easy parking. Very quiet room. Polite and helpful staff. The breakfast was a bit sparse but adequate.
The hotel was very comfortable, charming old-world, traditional Bavarian feel to it. We foolishly locked ourselves out of room with key on inside of door - necessitated removing the whole lock - staff couldn't have been more pleasant and more helpful, when they could have been very cross about it!
The authentic Bavarian quality. Good hotel, great staff and food and drink of exceptional quality. A very lucky find in a very nice village and well located to the road network. None.
A typical family run German hotel friendly full of locals with good food and hospitality. Good value all round no
Our room was excellent...a very large apartment on the top floor, and the owners are incredibly kind. They run the restaurant downstairs, which is the hopping place in town, mainly because it has the best German food I have ever had. Parking is a little tight at the hotel itself, but you are in a very small town, so there is no problem finding alternatives. Breakfast was great too. The apartment had a kitchen, but the door to it was locked. When we asked for a key, we were told that there was not one. We were not looking to cook, but it would have been nice to use the coffee maker and the refrigerator to keep beverages cold. Plus, the room advertised a kitchen.
Very spacious and comfortable room. Josef and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a very pleasant stay here.
The hotel was quite pleasant, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was alright. The owners were friendly and agreed to resolve a problem with an incorrect bill.
Rare hospitality, excellent value for money, warm atmoshere, not touched by "mass-tourism" syndrom. Pure bavarian traditions. On booking.com it was stated that hotel is 39.4km away from Innsbruck. Unfortunatelly, it is 80km away from Innsbruck.
Comfortable well run hotel in pleasant village. Good food in restaurant.
Smiling people, clerness of our rooms, internet access No accept credit cards. It was indicated that it is possible to pay with credit card, none of the credit card terminals was functioning. Unfortunately the staff did not speak English, the communication was therefore difficult as we have problems. Next answers are yes, if next time credit cardsmachineis ok. It is big problem and finally coming more expensive money for clients. Rate is not good after that.
we didn't have internet (wireless)
Kind staff This is a small outbuilding on the grounds of a sanitorium. It is dark, creepy and difficult to find.
Breakfast was not very good. No fresh bread rolls limited choice of cheese and sausage (continental )
Large, clean, comfortable rooms. The breakfast buffet was adequate, and provided "normal" and "diet" options. The Villa am Park is just the name that the Reha Kur Klinik uses to offer empty rooms to guests that are not there for a spa. It is designed as a Kur Hotel. The "hotel" reception closes at 1430 in the afternoon. The Sunday breakfast is supposed to end at 1000, but was all put away by 0940. The web says they accept American Express, but the reception would not accept it at checkout.
Food and room facilities Nothing
Wonderful location, great value for money, quiet and clean room, swimming facility. No written information in English, staff's English sometimes poor, no WIFI.
please, note this is not a hotel - this is a sanatorium and part of it used as a hotel; it is remotely located in fairly secluded area
We got an discount of eur 20,00 because of lack on warm water in the room. The spa facilities were very good and the pool temperature has 30 degrees :) On the 2 last days we haven't warm water even after urgency at the reception desk. There were ants in the room, surprisingly only in one corner, but still.
Most beautiful spa and pool area I have seen in a long time. Hard to find.
It was available (I couldn't find anything else). There was no shower (only a bath), the TV was ancient, the heating didn't work properly and the curtains didn't cover the window. The reception was only open between 08:00 and 16:30 and I was always closed when I was there. I was unable to check out when I left.
