restaurant closed at 9pm, despite the hotel information leaflit stating 10pm.We were sent to adjacent hotel for dinner. Bar closed at 10.30pm. No service available in the hotel after 10.30pm.
Courteous staff and nice amenities.
I liked the hotel. The staff was friendly and tried to help out as much as possible. The high speed internet in the rooms was slow and I had issues connecting.
The owner and staff went out of their way to accomodate me despite several interruptions in my travel which delayed my arrival.
Room was ok This is not a very good place to arrive, there are no signs about where to enter breakfast nor any other information. Owner is not a very good at german. I had to open my laptop go on the internet to find the telefon # of the owner.
I was ill for several days after arriving and staff was most gracious in bringing me breakfast to my room (it was included in the cost of the room). My trip was unexpected cut short and I had to leave after one week. The owner was unwilling to consider giving me a break on how much I owed him, despite the fact that when I left no one else was in residence. Directions on how to contact and whom to contact on arrival could have been much more detailed. It would have been good to have a "do not disturb" sign for my door.
The location is above a restaurant and walking distance to a few others and bars as well. The facility is newly renovated, very clean and presentable. The reception / registration office is located in the back and not clearly marked. I had the only single room and due to the location in the corner, had to take my computer elsewhere to maintain a decent connection with the internet.
Good staff. Good bed comfort. Excellent breakfast. The room was cold when we arrived.
Clean, spacious and quiet. Good breakfast. Friendly lady (owner?) but note no English spoken. Bad Winnesheim is a lovely town but with so many old towns in the area not on the tourist track unless you want the spa - but we found it delightful and with easy and cheap train access to Rothenberg and other towns on the Romantic road. Smell of adjacent restuarant from the alley to enter rooms (but this did not enter rooms).
The couple that ran the Pension were very nice. They didn't speak English but that wasn't a problem for me and if necessary the man that ran the restaurant speaks excellent English. We had a choice of two rooms; smaller with few stairs and larger one with more stairs; we chose the smaller one. The included breakfast was very nice and fresh. The price was not cheap, but it was much less expensive than the other places nearby. The spa/resort nearby has made it harder to find really cheap places to stay.
Halil ozdil is a gracious host who strives to please his guests. I enjoyed my stay at Pension Alstadt Garni very much and hope to stay there again.
