This hotel was fine for 4 nights-as we spent a lot of time out and about-we really only wanted somewhere to lay our heads at night. The place is looking a bit dated although it is very centrally located. If you are looking for luxury hotel-this isnt it but if you are going to the spa baths and driving around to the nearby attractions etc. and dont really need to use the hotel facilities much;this is the place for you as it is close to all good restaurants etc.
Large swimming pool and large spa/ wellness area. Very good facilities for a decent price. Has everything the more fancy ones have. Very nice breakfast. There should be a coffee/tea making faciity in room as well as a safety deposit box. If one books a superior room, then one can use the minibar for the entire stay for free. Pitty that's what I've found out only during checkout. Elevators are a bit old.
good breakfast buffet 1. heating was switched off during the night. Aircon difficult to manipulate and unsuitable for heating the room. 2. for the tourist info office: if you have paid a Kurtaxe and received a Gästekarte you should be able to get the reduction at the entrance of the Bäder and not be told to have done the booking via the hotel or the tourist info office.
The facility and staff are outstanding. The morning breakfast was great, and the food and drinks in the New Orleans Bistro
quiteness, location, pool/spa facilities wellness center closed on sunday, no french speaking at all (closed to the border!)
location and comfort
Easy access and central location
especialy the swimming pool for us at that day, the hotel was nice and quiet too thin pillows and poor quality of the "asparagus soup/creme"
The balcony in the room and the champagne breakfast In the Hotel Booking description it said that the hotel included wifi in the price. However when we arrived, they informed us we had to pay for it in addition if we wanted wifi,
The room was very good and the location perfect. Please read my earlier comments
The comfort and luxury as well as the staff - the resident entertainer is brilliant as well as engauging No English Papers or tv
the staff are friendly and accommodating. The hotel services - restaurants and spa very good. Great location! the hotel spa was beautiful... however my massage was 10 minutes shorter than it was supposed to be and my husband received a more expensive treatment than what I booked for him and as a result had to pay more. Also, we didn't challenge this sitatution so the spa might have done something to correct the situation but wasn't given the opportunity to.
All round facilities good with a good location and friendly staff.
Week end breakfast fantastic Wi-Fi under payment. It is impossible, in 2010 for a 5 star hotel, ask for money for wi-fi. I will cancell it from my next trip for this reason.
A comfortable luxury hotel located ideally for a short city trip. Personnel was helpful and pleasant.
The closeness of proximity to the city made it convenient to walk everywhere. The hotel was comfortable, the staff was very accomodating and the food was great. The facilities and amenities such as pool, spa and exercise facilities were great and convenient. Top notch hotel.
Position, availability Parking facilities, Information of area in English
We stayed at this hotel over Xmas 2007; the staff were excellent and friendly and it felt like they could not do enough for you. The highlights of this hotel is the comfort of the rooms, the great buffet breakfast and the superb spa/pool facilities. I was expecting the hotel to be based in grounds of its own or similar from the photo-thats note the case but it is in a superb central but quiet location-this is one of those hotels where you pay quite a bit to stay, it is after all 5 star but you dont feel like its overpriced-highly recommend this place.
breakfast is very rich, located in city centre.
A very attractive old building. Pleasant, helpful staff. Food very good. Nice selection available at breakfast. Can be difficult to find by car first time due to the padestrian areas in the town centre.
Location and service within the hotel were excellent. There was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room
in town yet quiet (our room overlooked garden). very pleasing hotel in a very lovely place stayed 3 nights but did not see bar open at all, which I thought strange. didnt like small metal steps into bathroom and entrance - care needed
hotel was very central- ideal for exploring Baden Baden
Very central Hotel. Asked for a room with a garden view as advised by a previous comment on your website and got it. The Hotel staff were so helpful and the room was a good size and spotlessly clean. Would stay there again. No
we liked the location of the the hotel...easy to walk and shop the town...close to therme baths The hotel front desk at night and again in the morning were not friendly and actually rude. We didn't feel welcome at all.
Location is very good. Breakfast buffet was excellent.
The hotel was in an excellent location and offered car parking, both of which were required for our touring holiday. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would have preferred a free internet connection so that I may easily and simply check my business e-mails, an operation of less than 10 minutes.
We may recommend the dinner at hotel resaurant. Offered 3 course meal was a top notch and very reasonably priced. The hotel also offers discounted enterance ticket to the Caracalla Therme.
Although the garden is nice, it was not good as the pictures. Disappointment.
Staff was very friendly N/A
The hotel was superb, this was our second visit, having booked with you last year. The staff are extremely pleasant, a credit to the hotel, food excellent The room we had this year was not as good this time, there was no sitting area and the room was half the size of the one we stayed in last year. It was just a regular bedroom (part of a 3 room suite at the end of the hotel. A little disappointing after last year.
We thoroughly enjoyed the whole visit to the hotel, the staff are an absolute credit to the management. Very friendly, polite and helpful without being intrusive. Hotel is superb, I have stayed in many 5* hotels and this one is at the top . 5* luxury and food without the 5* stuffiness! Christmas time here is a must! We will definately go back.
this hotel and all its amenities and staff were absolutely superb. The attentiveness (called me by name every time we encountered) was unbelievable, and the hotel itself is luxurious. Perfect!!! No- I would not change a thing about the Brenner's Park Hotel.
Luxurious atmosphere, great bourbon selection at the bar, which also had great atmosphere and food. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly.
Amazing spa. Very beautyfull winter garden restaurant. Rooms of the 5th floor
The setting is outrageously beautiful, the staff couldn't be more accommodating and genuine. Our visit was luxurious, comfortable and refreshing. We will return only next time we will bring our Golden Retrievers with us.
The service was excellent, the room charming, great facilities, all in a beautiful garden setting.
We went to the conference centre which is a very short walk down the road and the hotel is perfectly positioned. Very clean and spacious room. Enjoyed our stay
Wonderful location Directions to find the hotel were difficult, considering the one-way streets and pedestrian zones.
good location, good breakfast, comfortable room.
Excellent restaurant with good service.
very central location. walking distance to thermal baths and pedestrian zone. Lovely rooms, cozy and clean.
Breakfast was excellent, room is very clean in modern design. Location is perfect. Hard to find parking near the hotel.
the hotel was just perfect - clean, cosy, well situated, nice staff, good coffee at breakfast - even two did not find anything to complain
Very good location, friendly staff (especially waitress during breakfast)
I could not find anything bad in this hotel.
the staff was kind. they gave me a superior room at the same cost of a standard. excellent breakfast:the service was very professional and available for any request. in the city 10 minutes from thermal amenities. recommended
Gracious atmosphere and old world charm. We had a gigantic room which was really comfortable! Late one evening when we had a nightcap in the library, the man at the front desk not only served our drinks, but started a fire in the fireplace! It was so cozy!
Great location. Very nice rooms.
Friendly staff, beautiful setting, cultural events
Staff very helpful, location good
Good location right in the centre of Baden Baden. No bar or mini-bar or air conditioning.
Convenient, friendly, good value, comfortable no
The perfect location, the general atmosphere, the room and the breakfast. The welcome at the lobby was professional but a bit cold
We stayed with my wife for 3 nights only, so our experience was limited, but very bright. We liked the location very much - on a beautiful bank of the river with outside terrace serving lunch and dinner, and yet right in the center of the city. Food was exquisite. We liked palatial design of the hotel and rooms. Staff was friendly and, very importantly, English speaking (in Baden Baden it's not very common). Similar hotels in this city are more expensive. When we come back, we shall definitely check this hotel, and if the prices remain reasonable, will stay again.
Centrally located one block from Kurhaus and Casino in a quiet area without traffic, right next to the Oosbach. Delightful traditionl established Hotel in the mid 1800's
The hotel is beautiful. Very picturesque, Baden Baden is beautiful. The breakfast was excellent and in a very nice dining room. Our room was very large and faced the street however, it was quiet. We had our 3 year old with us. The room only had one double bed, they would charge us 36 euros a night for a cot....she slept with us. No air conditioning, so it was quite hot because it was June. Mini bar would have been nice.
The services are good esp. the staffs over there.Breakfast is also nice. The location is close to the congress hall which the seminar is located. The afternoon tea time serves only bread and tea.
Staff is very friendly and attends to all your needs. The room is very pretty and comfortable I would have liked wifi in the room. we were not in the main hotel so we could not access wifi, but could in the main building.
The staff were exceptionally nice and willing to help in any way (parked our car for us, chilled our wine, recommended a place for dinner even though we had opted not to eat at their restaurant). Best service we have received anywhere in Europe!
Design of room, small details, hotel staff, disposition absence of slippers, unattractive clothes of some guests during our breakfast.
Very nice hotel with very good staff Nothing
staff was very nice; location good. they should adapt their outdoor courtyard for summer dining -- would have made for a lovely evening
the staff was very friendly and nice and always ready to help
rooms decorated nice bathroom small butt convinient know the house is old butt cieling fans or a central air system should be instaled
Excellent restaurant ,polite and helpful staff. Pleasant room, wonderful bathroom. .
The hotel is elegeant and the staff was outstanding. The room was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable.
Great peaceful location only "4mins" walk into town. Quiet even with windows wide open. Free afternoon tea with cakes (sandwiches extra) and a garden to enjoy it. Greedy extra charges - parking in grounds (not secure) €16; Internet €34 per day!!; shoe clean €5 etc. If you book on line, you get a "comfort" room on the top floor roof (no lift) which is small with only a shower (no bath) - not expected in a hotel of this class. Staff were unsmiling...
Absolutely fantastic hotel with superior service. I will stay there every time I travel to Baden Baden.
The hotel emanated the charm of 19th century life style. Decorations of halls and rooms look remarkably genuine. Service was impecable. Our bathroom was a bit small. But there was problably no alternative in view of the fact that the structure of the house could not be altered.
very helpful staff, lovely breakfast garden, great breakfast. Great attention to details. luxury all around. rooms too small. high stairs with no elevator. I drank from a glass in my room and left it by the bed the first day. It remained there till we left 2 days later.
Excellent breakfast (on terrace in good weather !), free afternoon tea with scones, lovely furniture, jacuzzi (in junior suite)
Position Having to have dinner at sister hotel
The staff was very helpful. The location was very good. Our friend who was traveling with us asked to have two pairs of jeans washed and three shirts. No prices were available for the cost of the laundry. When we checked out the bill for the laundry was 220 euros. We were shocked. We thought there had been a mistake. There was no mistake. They should have told him up front what the cost would be.
Everything was handled very professionally. Staff was very accomodating and the hotel was in a great location
High tea; each room had a unique design and decorations
The staff was expecting me and guided me to the annex building where the rooms are. The room is very clean. The breakfast was gorgeous. The location is ideal. I experienced a problem of heating the first night, which was solved the second night.
Only the location - the hotel is just in heart of Baden-Baden. There was nothing else good about this hotel. It's seems the hotel has been revovated latley, but the renovation was done poorley. The floor tiles were not all cemented, for example. The room was relatively small to other hotels we'vew been to in Germany. All the rooms are above ground level with no elevator. The hotel has has no parking of its own.The staff didn't speak English. The check-in and out were done in the restaurant below the hotel, which was a little weird. They also told us that we can enter the hotel through the restaurant until midnight, but it was already closed at 23:30, so we entered from the back entrance. For about 90 Euros per night (including breakfast) , this hotel is far from a catch. I think the right price someone should pay for this hotel is about 65 Euros
Location, breakfast I had a reservation via booking.com and a rate of 89$ /night . The lady at the front desk did not honor the rate and said the cheapest room was 94$/night . Since it was already late night we did not argue with her. Also she knew limited english. The hotel did not even have an iron in the room . There was no single iron box to rent from the hotel lobby as well. The front office closes at midnight and there is no one available to assist post-midnight.
The central location, the cost and the general comfort. Minor points - but - our party was on motorbikes, so parking wasn't an issue, but had we been in cars, we would have had to have parked a little way away from the hotel. This should be mentioned in the hotel description online - as should the fact that visitors are subject to a Visitors Tax - this was not a lot, but came as a suprise non-the-less. I was on a budget and booked as such - therefore I did not expect the Ritz, for our purposes, the hotel was fine really. Some less observeant persons might want to have the fact that this is a cheap hotel and the ammenities are commensurate with such, made much more clear to them in the future. In summary, this is a cheap, clean, and well located hotel, with only minor problems.
The Breakfast was very nice. The location of the Hotel is great for a city break as it is located right in the heart of the city Absence of Telephones and Iron in the room
I can't recommend this hotel enough for the price. Perfect location in the centre of historic Baden-Baden with less than 60 seconds walk to the restaurants, shopping and beautiful scenery. The historic spa is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and you can get discount vouchers from reception (€28 including massage). Excellent value for money - room, breakfast, friendliness of the staff and overall experience was of better quality than most major hotel chains I have stayed in at a fraction of the price. I will defintely be back to this hotel in the future! The accommodation is a 2 minute walk to a nearby street from the reception desk, however this is not a problem as the rooms are of excellent quality.
The rooms and bathrooms were private and spacious. Good location was in walking distance from the Christmaskindlmarkt and the two main spas. Parking and reception. There was no place to park the car to unload baggage or to check in. Had to temporarily illegally park to get one of our two room keys (which required a deposit), and the staff member would not provide the second key until the other occupant was available. Receptionist unfriendly at night, although morning cafe server was very friendly.
It was value for money and in the centre of the town
It was near to everything. Freedom to come and go.Cosy cafe for breakfast with locals to talk to. It would have been nice to have a less rushed filling in of forms immediately on check-in. Could there be a kettle with sachets for coffee and tea in the room and some fruit for the basic breakfast? However, the price was good for what I had.
A reasonably priced hotel in the heart of Baden-Baden. Rooms were old but clean. Breafast was around the corner from the rooms, but in a very pleasant cafe with delicious food. Beautiful city.
Excellent location. Room was ultra clean and withr modern facilities.Quiet. Highly recommendable. Reception is inside of the busy Bistoro and was not clear that the rooms are in a separate building. At first, it took while to find out how to get to the hotel.
place friendly of person
the breakfast no hair dryer, no one on duty to get one and very sparse amenities
Location was only good factor Very stark and spartan room with no charm. No parking available.
Excellent town centre location . Helpful staff . Spacious room . Some of the decor was a little tired looking and some areas are in need of a bit of modernisation but, nevertheless, a very enjoyable stay.
The location is great. The Staff was very king. The hotel is great!
Great location, good room size and friendly staff. Good for going out and about, can be noisy in the morn but Baden is so nice you wont want to stay in bed!
We had room 411, (4th floor with lift) which has two separate bedrooms; one with the shower, sink and toilet and the other with the TV. This was very convenient for us (daughter (57) and mother (88). The breakfast buffet was fine for us: soft boiled egg, toast making facilities, choice of breads and jam, processed meat, cheese, muesli, fresh fruit etc. The location of the hotel is at the beginning of the pedestrian zone. If you happen to come from the top of Sophienstrasse, there is no way to get there easily. Parking at the Kurhaus is the closest.
The location was the best if you want to be where the action was. People watching was the best. Liked everything. Parking was a bit far but not unusual for a city center location.
the spa facilities ad vertised i.e. solarium/swimming pool were quite poor
In general it was excellent- especially the size of the room- which we didn't actually expected. And the wine, which we consumed in minibar, was given to us as a present)) Everything was excellent, exept the broken coffemachine at breakfast
The convenience of the location, everything was within walking distance Nothing
The location is right in the centre of the cafe district and has a distinct character. The hotel is very difficult to locate and there are no car-parking facilities within 15 minutes walk. No assistance was offered with luggage. Do not expect a smile when you arrive and the check-in was rushed and perfunctory, probably as the staff were also engaged in serving at the outside tables. Payment was required at check-in and the card payment system was antiquated, involving the keying in of numbers which led to the embarrassment of payment initially being refused. When asked for a quiet room we were told that the cafe outside closed at 2300 - and that was that! In fact, our room was immediately above the cafe and there were people chatting loudly there until 0300. The breakfast was rudimentary by modern continental standards.
Location in the heart of Baden Baden and size of room - large with balcony, light and nice outlook and history of hotel
The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Location is perfekt! Breakfast is very, very bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Hotel gives you the nice possibility to touch typical german mixture of a milieux of the end of 19-th century with very comfort services.
The hotel was well situated
It was centrally located and was a clean and quaint room. It was difficult to find and the parking was not evident without first finding the hotel. Baden Baden is not an easy city to navigate in the dark or without a map of the city. Print one out before hand.
It was very reasonable considering how spacious and nice the room was. It could not have been more central. Breakfast was served in a cafe attached to the hotel which was nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to leave our cases on the premises and minded them for us for the rest of the afternoon after we had checked out at 11.00 A.m Everything was fine
rooms were lovely and clean and spacious. Convenient location gets a bit noisy wuite early on
close to the center ^0^
Great location! The women at the front desk was really nice and went out of her way to make our stay as nice as possible. We got a very big, comfort and clean room. Great value for the money. No elevator.
Nice clean hotel, located in the city center.
We were made very welcome on arrival. Excellent breakfast. The owner was charming dad very helpful. Very pleasant hotel in a beautiful City
Central location, clean and comfortable rooms, car parking available
We really enjoyed our unexpected upgrade to a beautiful and very comfortable suite. As we were there for four nights, it was wonderful to have the extra space. The hotel location is great - we walked to the baths, and all over Baden Baden as well as to some fabulous restaurants for supper. We took the car out only once to do a day trip to Strasbourg. This was our second visit to Hotel Etol and we plan to return again..... If you arrive by car, be very watchful when you pass through the narrow opening to the parking courtyard - it is a very tight squeeze when you turn in from a very narrow street. Once inside the courtyard there is plenty of space for parking.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The reservation includes discounts at two popular spas nearby. The location is excellent. The rooms are very nice and clean.
We liked the smiley faces and very friendly service, great breakfast, comfortable beds and the great location. We were able to park our car at the hotel during the mineralbad stay, although we had already checked out!! How nice is that! Thank you! No
Very simpathic service, clean and friendly ambiance. Good Idea to pay the spa (Friedrichsbad) directly at the hotel. We got a voucher and a discount of 15% for the spa. The breakfast is delicious.
convenience frostiness of staff
Centrally located in town. We were able to walk to everything. Parking garage was easy.
Good location, good food, friendly staff, nice old dog, well run place!
staff were very freiendly and helpful.. especially the manager
Friendly staff. Wifi worked well. Room was well appointed. Excellent location. Possibly a bit expensive for the level of service, but this hotel is central in a popular tourist town. Please note, there is another Deutscher Kaiser Hotel further out of the centre of the town.
friendley staff and very good breakfast german style
position of hotel near the centre i also think reception should be maintained by a woman so when you arrive there is anice smile to greet you enttance a bit small
Friendly and helpful Management. Good location in quiet road but near town centre. We had a delightful stay.
the staff were very friendly and nice. it was extremly central right in town centre and near the baths and other tourist locations
The proximity of the hotel to the centre The parking arrangements
Hotel owner was very helpful.
The owners were very friendly. The Apartment was a good size, very clean and everything you needed was supplied. We would certainly recommend this Apartment. The WiFi worked well. There wasn't any parking. We had to park in a Car Park which cost €20/day. On arrival, there was no reception or indication where the owner/manager's office was. We knocked on doors until we found the owner's Apartment.
excellent location and very friendly owners who gave lots of useful advice about the town very difficult to find in the one way system and nowhere to park unless you pay for an expensive indoor car park.
The facilities were very clean and well appointed. The appartment we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. Ideal for a family.
