Staff we felt were exceptional, very helpfull and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Heaters weren't working. Would of appreciated tea making facilities
Staff were helpful, room and bathroom were clean, breakfast was quite good - good selection, and there was an informal and relaxed atmosphere. Good car parking facility. The hotel - and therefore all public facilities - closed at 9.0 p.m - e.g. no bar open after that time. The room was a bit smaller than we had expected, but the bathroom was a reasonable size. It was a bit more of a walk to the restaurants than we had expected.
Our double room was comfortable and quiet and the bed had a good mattress, the staff was friendly; good breakfast buffet, calm environment, good location for trips by car to Côte Sauvage, Carnac, Vannes, etc.
Friendly staff, good breakfast, nice and clean rooms. Nice walk to st.Goustan (ca 12 min.) I really liked the place.
Our room at the back of the hotel looked out onto the grounds so it was quiet. There was plenty of space and it was very clean. It is away from the crowds but not too far from the beach and we liked Auray and especially the port.
Quiet location & easy access Time switch on corridor lights could have been more generous
child friendliness of the hotel as we had two children under 3 years of age no
lovely clean and friendly place parking for motorbikes 15 min walk along river to port and bars loved the place
Very helpful, pleasant staff. It was clean and comfortable Breakfast very poor value, with lack of choice, compared with others we have had for the same price in similar hotels in France.
Very friendly and helpful.
Leaving! We had booked a triple room as we were travelling with our daughter. Unfortunately we were given two rooms on different floors ! We showed our booking form which clearly stated a triple room but were informed that there wasn't one available. This impacted on our stay in such a fundamental way that we did not use any of the hotel's facilities - in particular we didn't eat in the restaurant, The staff member with which we dealt with was very dismissive of our complaint and could only just about manage a very inadequate apology.
A beautiful location, good food and welcoming proprietors. We booked for four nights and stayed for seven.
we found the hotel to be a very well appointed, quiet and comfortable place to stay. Our meal there was delicious.
The staff was very nice and welcoming. I arrived late and they were waiting for me and got me right up to my room with ease. The room was very pretty and clean and breakfast was very good.
We like small quiet hotels and the Alicia is exactly that. The rooms whilst smallish are perfectly comfortable hotel kept very clean by unobtrusive staff. The food was excellent but it would be better if the menu for the evening was displayed together with the cost at reception in the morning. we certainly would have eaten there more often had we realised how reasonable theemeals were. The view from our balcony was stunning (rooom 5). There are complaints on the web about the alicia hotel but it is a good 2 star hotel with 4star food and 5 star location.
Excellent cuisine beautifully presented Public rooms tastefully designed and bedrooms clean and comfortable Breakfast a little expensive (9.5€) and being closed for dinner on a Sunday was a (minor) inconvenience
This is a nice modern hotel overlooking the harbour at La Trinite. Our room was a good size with a well appointed bathroom. It also had good double glazing which meant it was quiet at night-time even though the hotel is on the main road into La Trinite. We had a evening meal in the restaurant with some friends from the UK - very good food reasonably priced and the service was brilliant. (Our friends told us that the locals often eat there) We did not visit the actual Casino so cannot comment on this but we were not hassled to do so and it was not intrusive. This is not a complaint just a comment - the breakfast 12 euros is pricey.
Very welcoming, lots of character, lovely staff and rooms Full cost was not specified during booking and we had to pay an additional charge on checkout (however the staff were careful to identify this when we arrived). Listed as family friendly but not really suitable for very young children (ours are 4, 3 and 1). Breakfast does not live up to the very high standard of the rest of the hotel.
This a stylish boutique type small hotel with intersrtingly designed rooms around a pleasant coutyard garden and small pool. There was a very nice bar in the reception area, but as it was the barman's day off it was not open, which was disappointing.
First impression was wow - so very different and very tastefully decorated. It was quaint and very artistically furnished and decorated. The garden was delightful. The photograph did not do it justice. Quaint and small there was not a great deal of room. Would not have liked to have stayed there any great length of time as little room for unpacking clothes etc.
Nice furniture. Very nice place and very confortable. Very good breakfast.
The hours of opening of the bar.
The best thing is its location and the details the customer can find inside the room. It is a very clean hotel. The breakfast was expensive (15 euros) in relation to the amount of things that the traveller can choose.
The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. It restored my faith in Ibis hotels which took a battering
The staff. Breakfast was good. Restaurant closed all weekend.
Its location and style - not up to normal Ibis standard
Adequate rooms in a nice town. Convenient as an overnight stop. Food, ie dinner, was indifferent. But breakfast was good and also good value.
The location was very good, the room was very nice, the owners of the hotel were very friendly and made us feel welcome
very friendly and relaxing, good facilities and service, comfortable room
This is a beautiful hotel which I would find very difficult to fault, run by a really wonderful warm couple. This hotel is even more remarkable given its location to the waterfront and surrounding attractions Ideal for a break partcularly for mature couples looking for a little quiet in my favorite part of the world (even though in my case I was on business this trip). A real gem. Not a thing
Very nice room and friendly staff, good location. On hotel map the were no useful directions on how to get there. Also some seats where other guest could smoke directly outside the room (which had french windows).
A delightful family run small hotel with charm. Easy walking distance of nearby restaurants and bars. A lovely quiet base from which to explore this area No negatives
This was a wonderful place providing a great room, convenient location, lovely hosts and close to excellent restaurants.
Not too busy town, Good breakfast
It is a really nice hotel in a really nice place. Everything was excellent.
The hotel design and location were excellent, as was the room. The choice at breakfast could have been greater and as the hotel seemed to close at 10.00pm it would have been helpful to have coffee-making facilities in the room.
the location was good for our purpose. The decor was lovely; very trendy and boutique styled. Breakfast was more than ample for 8 euros and was served until 11am (great for a long sleep in!). It was also helpful being able to get lunch or snacks in the bar area. Those meals were great value and large in size. the hotel is in walking distance to the port area, which is lovely. there is also a market on the street one day a week. The staff were very nice and could speak english if needed. There are also hairdryers in the room, which was not mentioned in the room description. Our room and bathroom was lovely, very clean. no air conditioning in the rooms. we had to leave our window open which meant the room was very noisy as it faced onto the street. we were offered a change of room if we wanted, but we were already unpacked and settled so decided to stay where we were. My friends, who were in other rooms said the noise was not a problem for them, but one friend had a very small room, which they were unhappy about. Our room was reasonable in size, another friend's was much bigger.
Staff were accommodating and welcoming, would happily stay there again
Brreakfast good and parking Decor dreadful
Good location near downtown Auray, but a bit far from the train station. Helpful staff and good breakfast. We stayed here to catch a bus to Karnac to see the megaliths. Auray itself is charming, particularly the area across the bridge and the Quai Franklin (so named because Ben used this tiny port in 1776 on his semi-secret mission to wangle aid for the revolutionaries in our war of independence). The hotel is a little more than a mile from the train station; we made the walk, with bags, but most people won't go that far. There is bus service and cabs, but infrequently, as Auray is a small town. The bus to Karnac/centre ville gets you to within about a 20-minute walk of the megaliths, and the megaliths themselves go on for more than a mile, I would guess, so be prepared for some walking. There is a tourist train you can catch and the Maison de Megaliths, but we were told this just does a drive-by without stopping, so we walked. It's a good walk.
The Breakfast room was attractive and well appointed and the Breakfast menue was good The room allocated to us was very small indeed and you could not fully open the door into the toilet in which even shaving was difficult due to the lack of room.We had booked a Comfort Plus room but doubt that this type of room was allocated to us.
Close to Carnac
Nice and modern hotel, well up to date. Close enough to a very cosy harbour. A bit noisy outside from the cafe in the night.
Very helpful staff and excellent location within the town of Auray. It would have been nice if the hotel had a lift, but we were given a first-floor room and the staff were quite helpful in getting our bags up to our room.
Friendliness of owners, central for Brittany exploration, walking distance of town and port.(extended our stay by 2 nights)
