They were great hosts and provided local information on places of interest, pubs, and restaurants. The room was small but bright and spotless with a wardrobe, tea and coffee area, and en-suite with a bath and shower. It was perfect for two. WiFi worked great. The home is surrounded by lovely green lawns and flowers. The breakfast was cooked to order plus a spread of cereals, yogurt, cheeses and breads. Felt like we were at home and with friends. Pros: Nice scenic rural location just a few minutes from Kilkenny. The owners were wonderful...friendly and helpful. After arriving by rental car we asked how we could obtain a taxi to a local pub for dinner and to hear Irish music. Mary called the cab for us and gave us a map of town plus suggestions for a good place with Irish music. We had a great evening! Our rooms were lovely- neat, super clean and well supplied. Fantastic breakfast!

Pros: The hosts were kind and generous. We were very tired on arrival and they made us very welcome. A wonderful nights sleep and generous breakfast. We needed to do some unexpected business from home whilst there and Ger assisted with printing and emailing. He was most helpful. They also provided advise on places to see and how to reach our next destination with ease. The property was a little out of town but the countryside was beautiful. Wish we had had a few more days there so we could have done some long country walks.

We enjoyed tea and cookies under the sound of the rain from the open skylight in our room and read poems written by Ger himself. Mary's breakfast was delicious and we even were able to buy some of her homemade jams! We literally just drove away from Twin Oaks and are already missing it. We can't wait to come back to visit and we thank Ger and Mary for their love and kindness.

Pros: Really nice relaxing hotel with some excellent food. The room (Room 2) was a good size and as my wife had limited mobility I had requested a ground floor room and this one was ideal. All staff were very pleasant and helpful - overall a very enjoyable 2 nights.

Pros: Superb Golf, free bicycles to explore the estate area, quiet and luxurious.
Cons: We could have used a better introduction to the apartment and especially the plumbing. Taking a shower was not simple, and we gave up on the bath.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The stylish and relaxed atmosphere throughout the entire manor house; The dinner at Lady Helen The surroundings and grounds
Cons: Would expect a one piece mattress/bed for a kingsize; the unstylish promotional white Audi and the scrappy bicycles in front of the house (replace with a vintage or less visually obtrusive car, or best park it elsewhere)
