Overview Reviews

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location, in the centre of the old part of Le Puy, is superb
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is a lovely, very very nice hotel inside a historical building. The rooms are very nice and lovely. The family atmosphere is very warmly and honestly overwhelming. We come to this place since a few years, and we do feel like coming home. I can't await to come back next year.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful old 15th century building with loads of charm and character. Comfortable and clean in a terrific location very close to the cathedral. Our host was extremely welcoming and helpful.
Cons: Nothing not to like really.... we were very pleased with this small boutique style property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building with wonderful restoration. Very comfortable rooms and charming host.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely furnished bedroom. iPad connected to internet provided in room. Soothing music playing in background that can be switched off depending on mood. Pierre was extremely helpful and informative about where to visit.
Cons: Nothing really but it was awkward to find. Maybe a sign on the door/wall would help. There are a number of stairs that did not bother us but may not suit some.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was very central. The room décor was beautiful, very spacious and clean.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Super location for walking around the old city. Very cool 15th century vibe in the place with modern art elements that blended beautifully. Very nice hosts with excellent English. Particularly appreciated a last minute change to a lower level room when the hosts noted our struggles with the circular staircase and baggage. Free parking a block away and good info on how to find it via booking.com email. WiFi good enough for streaming (on lower courtyard level). Basic breakfast.
Cons: Not for the physically challenged. Very solid bed (though it's true that it's pretty standard in France). Do communicate with the hosts before arrival re whether stairs will be an issue and whether a less hard bed is preferred (they apparently have one upstairs).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: host was very helpful in getting us through the labyrinth of streets to the location - just arriving is an adventure in itself

Cons: Nothing to mention
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My wife (Mexican) and I (French) stayed there for 1 night. This place is a very unique combination of an old farm (built in 1632) renovated in the style of Manhattan loft apartments. Environment is great. Food is local and well prepared. Hosts are kind and really interesting.
Cons: I wished we had stayed there for a couple more days.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Interesting design and decor. Breakfast was usually served at 8:00, we had to leave early so the manager served us breakfast at 7:30. We were very grateful.
Cons: Dinner was scheduled for 8:00 but was not served until 9:00. Wine was offered, we assumed it was complimentary but discovered we were charged.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything could not fault it. 5 stars without a doubt. Really quite quirky design but very well done indeed.
Cons: Nothing to dislike!! We came through amazing countryside to get to this place, at least 2 hours of high, fantastic splender.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The old farm has been converted to a mix of 17th century and 21st century modern. Some interesting design features using steel and timber make an inspiring building. Lovely hosts go out of their way to make you comfortable. Great dinner and breakfast using local produce from the farm. Walk among the cows to the river and watch the pigs being fed are all part of the experience. Not a negative but you need a car to get to it and your GPS May take you the wrong way.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the location of the Domaine which is situated alongside a river. It is absolutely stunning. The quality of the rooms is perfect and the food you will eat there is divine.
Cons: nothing.
5.4 Okay
Cons: I was disappointed when I arrived at the Domaine as the pictures on their web site did not show the real Domaine how it is inside. The Domaine has been renovated with cheap materials, which is a shame as the original building is amazing Breakfast was a real disappointment, I could of gone to the supermarket and brought myself a better breakfast for far less,no personal effort

Pros: This is a special place. The owner, "Fred", is wonderfully welcoming and loves to speak English. Our room was vast and attractively presented and the communal area of the house is huge. Fred and his family prepared us an excellent three course dinner with good wine and coffee. We sat outside for a while admiring the extensive views of farmland and mountains. We slept well in a cool room with a very comfortable bed. We hope to return soon.

Overview Reviews
Breakfast included in all prices! Located in the heart of the city centre (shops, theatre and cinema), close to the historical monuments and the starting point of the Chemin de Santiago de Compostela, 200 m from the SNCF station, 5 min. from the main motorways and 15 min. from the airport. Ideal for a business stay (5 min. from both conference centres) or leisure: many outdoor activities to discover for the small and the large: hiking, canoeing, rafting, etc.
7.9 Good
Pros: Air conditioning. Bath room. tv. Staff were nice, elevator, location.
Cons: Parking was inconvenient. Would have helped to know we needed to reserve in advance. Need a map showing the public parking. No refrigerator. No safe. Hair dryer was very weak.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location of this hotel is very good; hotels in the old town seems difficult for shopping, dining and parking. The room was clean and easy to use. The parking space was spacious and secure; it is underground and needs some walking but close and easy to use. The breakfast was good; I loved bread and fresh orange juice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was the biggest room and bathroom we have ever had in an Ibis hotel, absolutely amazing. The bed was so comfortable, the best hotel bed I have slept in in a long time. Breakfast was adequate and wholesome. And for the first time in an Ibis Hotel that we have experienced, there were free tea and coffee making facilities by reception. The best of all, I got a call an hour after we checked out to say I had left my headphones in the bedroom. How honest and thoughtful of them! Definitely recommend this hotel. And there are so many good restaurants in the city centre, you would be spoilt for choice.
Cons: Hotel parking is a distance away, but there is roadside parking in front of the hotel, both very reasonably priced.
7.5 Good
Pros: Friendly staff, Location was very convenient to the old city. Excellent breakfast. Car park worked well. Our room had a nice view of the cathedral and statue of Notre Dame (Mary and child).
Cons: Typical Ibis Hotel. Bright and colorful but as usual, the walls are paper thin. You can here guests in neighboring rooms. Bathroom needed a makeover.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good location, easy to find and nice and clean.
Cons: Nothing.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was very central. The hotel has a typical modern interior. Getting to the room was a little difficult in the small elevator. It would tak time for a group to go up.
Cons: It was difficult to find the secured parking area as the central location means that there is no parking at the hotel itself. We received a map and after two tries, we made it. Le Puy itself is a sad town with many empty buildings, but the cathedral and St Michaels Church were wort the trip
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ideal location, secure parking, comfortable bed, decent size room.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The excellent friendly staff the on site restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. The under ground car park was very useful to our party as were travelling on motor cycles as we had the peace of mind that they were safe over night.

Pros: The owners of this hotel are really kind, despite the fact that I speak very little French. The room was small, but was perfect for what I needed since I wasn’t spending much time in there anyhow.
Cons: The light in the bedroom was out, I probably could have asked for it fixed but I didn’t really care much. The breakfast was just bread, juice, and coffee which were delicious but maybe it would be nice to also have fresh fruit or cheese.

Pros: The bed was very comfortable. The member of staff on duty was friendly and helpful, for instance he escorted us to our room and demonstrated the controls for the shutters. The restaurant was excellent we ate both lunch and dinner there and they were the two best meals we have eaten in France in the 24+ years we have been holidaying there. In addition to the quality of the food the waiting on staff were very efficient and pleasant and worked well together as a team.
Cons: There was nothing that I could say I didn't like about this hotel.
7.1 Good
Pros: Easy parking. Easy to find
Cons: All was OK
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I did not eat the breakfast, but I liked the absolutely breathtaking views on the way up to Hotel L'Ermitage as well as from the rooms. I liked the staff, they were very warm and friendly.
Cons: The WiFi was subpar at times, although this wasn't too much of a problem.
