Opéralia Hôtel les Pins - Balaruc-les-Bains - Bedroom
9.3 Excellent (820 reviews)
Overview Reviews

Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautifull hotel room, goood breakfast!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A new hotel is situated in the city center at the central park (Charles de Gaulle Park). The distance to the beaches is 200 m. The value for money is high. The 3-star hotel that wants to be a 4-star one. The rooms are equipped with the safe boxes, refrigerators, kettles etc. The refrigerator is empty, in other words not a minibar that was highly welcomed by us. The fridge does cool down really, the temps allow cooling to drinking bear and white wine. The coffee bags (regular and decaf) and tea bags were renewed daily. Besides, you can have cappuccino, latte and other natural coffee at 60 cents at the coffee machine in the lobby. Supermarket Spar is at 400 m. Near the supermarket you may buy freshly made tasty Itallian pizzas in the afternoon (Eur7.50 and Eur8). Around the corner from Spar there is a Boulangerie with good bread and cakes. A good Carrefour is located in the neighboring Balaruc-le-Vieux (4 km from the hotel). There you will find extensive choice of wines from all regions of France. There is a fishermen’s village Bouzigues at 3 km that produces 11 000 ton of oysters annually. In Balaruc-les-Bains you may taste them at the restaurant called l’Escale at the quay near the central beach. 6 large oysters and a glass of good white wine cost Eur8.50. The oysters are bigger than those of Cancal, notwithstanding that the latter pretends to be ‘the best oyster source in France’. And last but not least. The water temperature at Balaruc-les-Bains beaches is 26-27 degrees Centigrade. At the same time at the beaches of neighboring Sete it is 20-21 in mid-July. The Sete’s beaches are magnificent but, however, the water is too cold to swim. Despite the clear water, the Balaruc’s beaches have a disadvantage. There are seaweeds. The local authorities explain it by necessity to save the fauna. That is why the best place to swimming is the central beach.
Cons: The city is a spa resort. It would be useful to have a facilities to drying swim suits.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: There is a kitchen for customers. Drinks machine. And in the room there is a kettle for powder coffee and herbal teas. There are some parking lots free in front of the hotel only for customers.
Cons: Everything correct
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is only 8 months old and was excellent. The staff were great (and bilingual). The Director was around and interested in his guests. The rooms were beautifully furnished in turquoise, grey and white and gave a feeling of space. Five minutes walk to the sea. This hotel was the highlight of our holiday in France.
9.5 Excellent

4.5 Okay
Pros: Staff very professional
Cons: We understand that “ Best Western “ is a franchaise , and normally run by an owner manager , which means that they try just that little bit harder to ensure you have an enjoyable stay . We had booked a “ standard Queen size “ , but were originally offered a basic “ box “ . We had also asked for sea views , and had an e-mail confirming this was available “ at no extra cost “ . We were eventually upgraded , but told that it would be an extra €5 , but still no sea view / balcony . We will continue to book “ Best Western “ when we are seeking that “ little extra “ , but this certainly wasn’t provided in Hotel des Thermes . Since the hotel was not very busy in the first half of December , this was very disappointing .The staff member we dealt with was very pleasant amd professional throughout , but our overall experience was far below what we have experienced in other “ Best Westerns “
6.3 Good
Cons: Parking. Size of room
8.8 Excellent
Pros: all good apart from sign posting from town centre and having to park a little away from the hotel as there is limited on site parking.
Cons: see above but overall good
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff friendly
Cons: The breakfast very poor
5.0 Okay
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Spacious, but poorly equipped bathroom, with free-pf-charge flooding while taking a shower.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Evening receptionist very helpful when we arrived as although we had booked a parking space, none were available. However he said when he left later we could have his space and he even waited until we had retrieved our car so that no one else would take the space.
Cons: The location as it was in amongst many blocks of flats.
6.8 Good
Cons: Didn't have the full breakfast as the fruit salad was out of a tin and not fresh - very disappointing. Although the hotel was OK inside, the exterior was very run down, no what we are used to with the Best Western Group. Very untidy grounds full of weeds etc. No parking available (this was the main reason for booking the hotel!). Very depressing location. Could not recommend visiting this town at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect place! A good example of a Best Western hotel. Updated design, warm wellcome and service. Good location, really close to the beaches and city center.
Cons: The check-out timing is a mit early...
8.8 Excellent
Pros: park room have a fantastic outlook
Cons: lack of parking facilities hotel is difficult to find
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff especially the boys from the restaurant. The room . Pet friendly.
Cons: The hotel is located in a neighbourhood , surrounded by flat buildings with a park ar the front. In the night was very noisy, people from the neighbourhood gathering in the park and teenagers speaking loud and shouting , sometimes even siting on the terrace of the hotel right under our balcony and smoking or drinking till after midnight so we couldn't sleep properly.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Τhe studio apartment was private, with a nice outlook to a cute little yard, a very traditional exterior and clean interior. The colours and decor were modern and relaxing. Close to town, the lakefront and local amenities, right by a supermarket, so we were able to enjoy home cooked breakfast each day in our kitchenette. The bed was comfortable and large. The shower was quite small with low ceilings but otherwise just what we required. The room was airy with sufficient fans. There was a little fridge/freezer and a stove top espresso coffee maker and little espresso cups (no mugs). We had a very pleasant experience throughout our stay. The hotel owner was very accommodating and pleasant.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Room was very small but tastefully decorated.
Cons: Very small and 3 flights of stairs.
6.3 Good
Pros: Central location, choice of cafes nearby.
Cons: Rooms small, very little information about the region and sight seeing, restaurants, had to find the proprietor Christine for WiFi....found on the morning we were leaving that Chrisine also ran the restaurant across the road!
5.5 Okay
Cons: Room 8 was little more than single sized, with a small double bed. The on-suite bathroom walls finished a good foot and a half below the bedroom ceiling creating a sort of cubicle effect rather than bathroom, fine for a single person but not great for a couple. We also seemed to be paying more through Booking.Com than the hotels rate which, for this room, seemed a bit excessive.

6.3 Good
Pros: Reasonable size room with comfortable bed.
Cons: Automatic check-in failed completely; it wouldn't accept my surname, booking reference or payment card. Fortunately the night security guy opened reception and checked me in manually. Wifi completely unusable. Mediocre breakfast.
7.5 Good
Pros: We only stayed here for an overnight stop. The bed was comfortable enough. The bathroom was very small, especially the shower. Supermarket, shops and fuel station are right next to the hotel. Very close to the motorway too.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Large supermarket nearby. Air-con in the room was welcome
Cons: The price I paid wasn't quite what I was led to believe when I reserved but it could have been worse. They initially asked for a LOT more before re-evaluating (without me having to ask). Way way way out of Sete
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location, close to the motorway
Cons: Accommodation is in a good location but the quality off the accommodation its terrible. Dirty rooms, stains on the walls, holes in the wall, noisy.
