Pros: Great hosts beautiful property
Cons: No tomato sauce :)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Jo and Gary were so welcoming and professional. They have created a luxurious slice of heaven at Bungala House. The bed was huge and very comfortable. We enjoyed our breakfast both mornings and there were ample amounts of everything. The suite came equipped with lots of nice extras including Netflix and Lindt chocolates as it was Easter. We arrived on a cold evening after work and Jo had turned on the electric blanket for us which was a lovely touch. It’s a great launch pad to explore all the nearby beaches and cute villages. We will hopefully be back and would recommend it to friends.
Cons: You have to drive to get dinner as there doesn’t seem to be anywhere good within walking distance but that’s not a huge deal, there are quite a few nice spots within easy distance. Some people may expect breakfast to be cooked for them but we liked being able to prepare breakfast as and when we wanted it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent stay, jo was very friendly and it is a beautiful old house.

Also the grounds are so pretty!! I recommend this place to anyone in the area. It is worthwhile making plans to visit just to stay at this accommodation

Overview Reviews
Whether looking for a romantic getaway or simply time out to unwind, Yelki will be sure to weave its magic. This historic heritage (1835) beach front cottage seamlessly blends old and new to offer wonderfully comfortable B&B or self-contained accommodation. The cosy armchairs, wooden floors, rugs and fireplace will envelope you in their warmth, while you take in the view and ponder on thoughts of the day or lose yourself in a good book. Sit on the veranda, or lawn under the pepper tree with a glass of wine, as you enjoy the magnificent ocean vista of Wright Island and The Bluff. You may cook in the charming well equipped kitchen and then enjoy the meal in the breakfast room overlooking the back garden with its lovely profusion of plants, flowers and birds. With the sound and smell of the ocean and two comfortable bedrooms (1 Queen, 1 double) your sleep is sure to be deep and restful. The cottage is completed with a sparkling modern bathroom. A few steps to the beach or pathway leading to The Bluff and on using the Heysen Trail past Petrel Cove, Kings Beach and Waitpinga cliffs; or hire a bike and follow the pathway into the town centre or along the coast to Port Elliot; further still to Goolwa and the Murray Mouth. Flagging enthusiasm could mean putting yourselves and your bikes on the Cockle train for the return trip. Yelki by the Sea is well located, as just a short amble along the beachfront will find you at The Beach House Cafe, to enjoy delicious wood fired pizza or a curry, or go to the ever popular Yilki Store, where Ashley and Jenny essentially manage to offer the rest.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Yelki contains such history and character whilst being comfortable and in a perfect location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I absolutely love this property. I could actually move in and stay forever. It is romantic, practical, right over the road from the beach, a lovely pizza and Indian food restaurant two minutes walk but if preferred fish and chips right next door to the restaurant. I am very fussy, some could say obsessed about cleanliness, this property is always immaculate. It is steeped in history, and our host, Sue, made us feel right at home. In fact this is a return visit for us and she treated us just like family when we arrived and left, but gave us total privacy while we were there. It was so lovely to get up in the morning and walk on the beachside path, just enjoying the sun come up - FABULOUS
Cons: This place was perfect for us - there was absolutely nothing to dislike about it.

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Near to the Ferrie
Cons: Trying to sleep while you here the millipedes falling down is really scary. The staff said that this was totally normal. All the holes made it possible for spiders, mice ande millipedes to enter the room.

4.6 Okay
Pros: I liked that they were available on such short notice. Coffee bought from restaurant in morning was nice. Views are nice of shared balcony.
Cons: The shared showers had no hot water. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and it was just overall a bad experience with cops looking for a person first thing in the morning staying right next to us. Not only this but when I spoke to the manager about these issues there wasn’t much effort taken to make us feel like they care. Could have given us a free coffee or maybe let us use a bathroom with heated water. Won’t come back due to lack of care for the patrons.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The location was excellent, right at the seafront. It was easy to walk from there through the town which is absolutely lovely.
Cons: The price for a hole in the wall with a very crappy mattress and no loo in the room was inappropriate. It’s a very noisy hotel with banging doors and food trucks arriving at 7 in the morning directly in front of my window.
6.0 Good
Pros: The rooms were quite small the beds were extra comfy, had to plug the kettle to the plug on the floor the lead was too short to reach anything, In room 23 , could do with a shelf in the bathroom.
Cons: Couple of extra powerpoints,
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: We paid extra for a balcony room - we were given a roped off area across the corridor from our room. Not a balcony room, and not worth additional $$ and $135 a room. Have emailed to request a part refund based on this mislead - no response which is very disappointing. The cleanliness was extremely low too.
5.8 Okay
Cons: We stayed in room 25 and next door room 26 guests were screaming fighting whole night and banging the doors. Was very scary
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was great and the building was charming.
Cons: The room was very small
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff were friendly, and very accomodating
Cons: The electrics in the room were very dodgy. I had many problems getting the tv to work as the adapter fell out all the time. Whenever I turned on the cold water in the basin it came out brown to start...... which put me off drinking it. The shower each day were warm....... or cold, however when it was cold I phoned reception and I was able to shower within 1/2 hour.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and views.
Cons: No wi-fi connection in spa rooms accommodation.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect, hotel is old but I knew that before I went there. Lighting in room was poor but we were just there to sleep so it was fine. Car park was full so we had to park on the street

Pros: the bed was comfortable. The chap on reception was affable
Cons: The place was grubby, and dusty In need of a drastic overhaul. No breakfast offered. There is no newspaper offered on a Saturday! The water in the shower changed temperature a lot. That can be frustrating and also dangerous.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: checkin early
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location across the road from pubs cafes etc. Also very near all public attractions. Staff were wonderful so very helpful. & it has indoor pool which was great.
Cons: Nothing
6.3 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Lacked proper cleaning. Grounds were terrible. Curtains disgusting.
6.0 Good
Pros: Very convenient location, central to Victor Harbour shops. I am physically disabled and the bathroom suited me very well. I appreciated that access to the room did not require any steps.
Cons: Signs which indicate concern for the environment regarding conservation of water by reusing towels are unconvincing when a motel provides soaps, shampoos and individual milk pods in non disposable wrapping, do not care for the environment, as this motel does. Please return to providing milk in a little jug on check-in as used to be the norm. The pictures on the wall were ghastly and garish in my opinion. We stayed for two nights, there was no attempt to service the room after the first night.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Location central, staff member helpful
Cons: The property is tired and in need of a facelift, restaurant and reception areas very unwelcoming
6.0 Good
Pros: Location good. Town centre, beachfront, restaurants and cafes within 10 minutes walking and Woolworths supermarket is right next door. Parking next to room. Good hot shower. Comfortable bed. Heater worked well.
Cons: Tired and dated property. Bathroom very basic although clean. We took our own breakfast supplies but were not given any information at reception or in room about breakfast or how to order it if we wanted to.
