The hotel was lovely and the room its self was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very nice and had plenty of choice. No we will be returning to the hotel when we next visit Baldock.
There was confussion over the family/triple room, but we were given an extra room without charge. Evening meal was fine, breakfast was a disappointment. The hotwater for the tea/coffee at breakfast had a tang, told the staff and nothing was done about it. Glad there was tea in the room.
Rooms , staff, breakfast
Could go up to room anytime
Good food. good service
location in centre of baldock
Excellent location and breakfast. Room was comfortable. Check in was very slow. Had to wait fifteen minutes for someone to turn up to check me in. A couple next door paid £10 less for thier room. Worth shopping around when booking rooms via internet.
the breakfast was very good andvthe staff helpful we were without hot water for two days and even after reporting it it was not sorted until the morning of our departure, they did reduce our bill by £15 as compensation!!
We needed an overnight stop this was perfect for us.
I went to a family party so needed a hotel the evening
Good choice of food served in separate dining area of pub and also not tied down to set time of eating.
Lovely staff. Great location.
Clean, friendly staff and good value for money. Food tasty but basic. None
Superb decor, nice airy room with all mod cons. The cock-up made when booking two singles (2 men) meant we had been booked in a double! However, when dealing with the hotel, the staff dealt with the issue in a prompt efficent manner and we were swapped to a twin room.
Very nice clean, modern room which you could tell had been recently re- furbished. No info was given as to when breakfast was to be served so had to go and ask. Also we were woken up at 6.30am by the binmen as we were round the back, but obviously this was a once a week issue and just happened to coinside with our visit.
The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. They were willing to be flexible to make our stay a pleasant one. The cooked breakfast was excellent. None.
Very comfortable and friendly staff. Very good food. nothing to dislike.
Staff were pleasant and friendly. My room was spacious and nicely laid out. Breakfast was good. The weather was cold outside. There was one storage heater but had not been turned on early enough, so the room was chilly. The room faced the main road. Problem with the shower control, with water temperature too hot. Food at dinner was essentially 'pub grub' and microwaved; it was wholesome and adequate but not fine dining
Good general level of decor (modern) and cleanliness. Not the choice of breakfast you'd get at a big chain - but more than adequate and quality spot on. Excellent vfm. Early shutting of pub / restaurant on a Sunday. a few cobwebs in room over electrical equipment (nothing major) ..... and quite atmospheric as we stayed on Halloween!!! One further point - take care at a505 junction!!
Very nice, very clean, perfect hotel stuff, very good breakfest no
Location, excellent breakfast buffet, good food in evening offerings Unable to call internationally and night staff had no clue about solving situation.
The breakfast was a 10/10 night staff on reception left us waiting for entry into the hotel, until he had finished a phone call. Barman ignored us when we tried to order food and drinks and served a customer who had obviously been in the bar all night giving tips to the staff! Night staff were very poor to say the least!
Location for airport. Good bar and restaurant area unusual for an Ibis. Usual Ibis cleanliness.. Watch out for the pricing policy. The published rate is a fiction. Always book in advance to fix the rate.
Friendly staff at the reception. Within 10 minutes' walk from the Luton airport. We sat at the hotel restaurant table for 20 minutes without even being noticed by the staff. And oh yes, we tried everything except shouting. They just walked on by, so we left to dine elsewhere. The Internet tv image resolution was lousy and the tv channels did not show properly (antenna or cable defect?)
The location from the airport, very convienient. Ideal for a business person or a family looking for a one night stay. Staff very friendly and efficient There are no complaints
Room was comfortable, cosy and very clean. Lobby/bar area was cold, was freezing outside but maybe heating could've been turned up.
perfect location for very early flight next morning
Nothing The room was very small The shower was very small Nothing was good about this place
It's less than 15 minutes walk to Luton Airport The bed in the first room they gave me apparently hadn't been changed from the last occupant since it contained several long black hairs. I asked for a different room and was given one, but this changeover ate into the five hours sleep I was already limited to and should not have been necessary.
No obvious directions from the airport terminal to Ibis Hotel for guests not arriving by car. There is a regular bus service (stop en route to Parkway) but it isn't well promoted.
We arrived late and the staff were welcoming, friendly and gave an excellent service. Location very good. 24-hour bar a great asset. Room was much too small, very clostrophobic. We stayed in room nbr 106 (ground floor), window faced the car park and we had no privacy - only if the curtains were drawn. Curtains were damaged and did not close properly. Price of gbp 79 far too high for these standards.
Restaurant staff seem to be bothered by our presence and not too will to see if we required service at all or not
the bed was really comfortable none
nice having a bar, free breakfrast buffet, coffee and tea started at 430am. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Location location location Nothing bad
Hotel is very near to airport and i was satying to pick up some friend of mine and it became very easy for me .
Excellent location by the airport, nice and professional personnel, professional services, clean
Excellent location close to airport. Very quiet and comfortable room with good shower. Complimentary breakfast was fine with good quality ingredients .On a freezing cold weekend, the hotel was very warm and cosy. Whilst dinner was of acceptable quality, the menu was perhaps overpriced because of the captive market. I do resent paying £5.90 for a glass of not very good wine.
Ran out of things at breakfast time
closeness to airport, clean, efficient room no warning that there would be a charge for parking the car overnight check in staff short on charm!
the attention given by check-in staff and the comfort of the rooms, good food none
Convenience. Restaurant good for what it does. Order off the specials board. Very well sound-proofed.
i booked for my 21st wedding anniversary as a surprise for my wife. The entire weekend was absolutely brilliant, outstanding historic building, great facilities, wonderful staff, fab food, we enjoyed the spa too. We will recommend to freinds and return without doubt. no
- Pet friendly - Beautiful building with beautiful rooms and beautiful gardens - The kitchen is just regular - We had to queue for the breakfast because the room is too small - We had to reserve even for the 5 o clock tea hours in advance

Luton Hoo is a superb hotel The staff are excellent and very professional the buildings impressive and the dining rooms spectacular .. we did not play golf but we did think the course looked very boring ...the spa was wonderful and the rooms very comfortable and extremely spacious We had a room in the coach house [ an ungrade not asked for but offered ! ] It was above the pro shop of the golf course and very noisy [ beware ]
For a stately home it had a homely atmosphere.
There was insufficient lighting in the bathroom and bedroom to make up. Please please allow pets!
Hotel was Luxurious, Staff friendly and Spa facility amazing, would Highly recommend. No, all good
The buildings and grounds are superb, the spa is very good but most importantly the staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly Anthony at concierge.
The hotel itself is grand and beautiful with lots of character. The staff were very friendly, the room was comfortable and the food was delicious. We loved pre dinner drinks and the atmosphere in the lounge with the fire burning. The swimming pool and sauna and steam room were great. The jacuzzi had the most powerful jets and we thoroughly enjoyed being the only guests that afternoon as they only just opened the pool. The walk around the hotel is lovely with the secret garden making it more attractive.
Every aspect was ideal for the peaceful, luxurious and celebratory stay for which we were looking. The management of the restaurant seemed to leave something to be desired. Whilst the staff were pleasant, helpful and courteous, many of them appeared to be wandering around aimlessly as if they did not know what they were supposed to be doing. Further, there must surely be something to be said for guests to be allocated tables for the duration of their stay, rather that allocated haphazardly at each meal.
The restaurant in the hotel, The Wernher, was superb. The food was totally excellent. Worth every penny! The service was very good too. The hotel itself is beautiful , inside and outside. The grounds are lovely. When i booked, i was given the impression that the room would have views of the grounds,as that was part of the room description. But we were given a room that was far away from the grounds and below the ground floor. But the room itself was gorgeous.
Beautiful hotel and attentive staff. Did not get the opportunity to try the restaurant this time but we will be back and will try it next time. Although all of the confirmation details on the booking e-mail were for the correct date, when we arrived the hotel system indicated that we should have been there the previous night. The hotel resolved the issue, luckily they were not full.
Efforts by staff to correct glitches which occurred with my room.... the central heating, the telephone, the missing blinds in the shower room The cold. Coming from HK where it is warm compared to the UK I did suffer. However Offley place and staff are unable to control the climate
Beautiful rooms and great staff. When we complained about the noise in our room they moved us straight away. Can be very noisy in certain rooms if there is a wedding taking place
Spacious rooms, calm quiet location. Excellent staff, excellent restaurant. No leaflets about local attractions
Excellent room, spacious and beautifully furnished. Did not take evening meal but breakfast very good.
It was the most excellent hotel I've visited in all my life. It has a frindly staff and helpful, every thing was arengment. I felt as if I'm not in hotel, I felt I'm in historical palace. So, I'm coming to stay in this hotel soon. To be honest, I like everything.
The staff were incredibly polite but not too formal, really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was large and airy and the grounds beautiful. I didn't mind but perhaps it could do with a lift?
The hotel was simply brilliant. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was good and the rooms were very clean. We had a magnificent stay.
The Hotel has avery clam & peaceful ambience and the food is excellent. Very helpful staff from reception to waiting. There are none.
The staff were helpful, the location was very attractive, the room was excellent except for heating, and the food was good both for Dinner and breakfast. The central heating did not work well and we had to have two electric heaters.
Hotel staff very friendly, room very clean and comfortable
Nicely decorated reception area and room. The location isn't great for central Luton.
chack in took too long
Very nice room with upmarket fittings. Paper thin walls between rooms. You could hear everything going on. Very poor breakfast that doesn't do justice to the Hilton brand. Surprisingly the breakfast was no better in quality over a premier Inn. Premier Inn comes out on top in terms of quietness. Their doors don't slam.
Lovely new and clean hotel, friendly porofessional staff and a very comfortable night. The restuarant is large and rather lacks atmosphere. £9.50 extra per person for breakfast a bit expensive so we gave it a miss.
Lovely room, excellent value for money
so the bed was very comfortable as was the room in general the view from the room wasn't fantastic but thats a stretch to find something wrong to say
Clean. New. No bar facilities in room. No bar late for customers. Cold reception. Staff foregin and not very warm on arrival. Food awful
the perfect comfort of beds, the cleanliness of the room and bath, the restaurant and its prices No bus to and from the Luton airport. Distance to Luton Airport; although on websites it says the hotel is pretty close to the airport, actually it is not that close.
For the £65 I paid I wasn't expecting one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and I include in this list some prestigious 4 and 5 star hotels and lodges. The room was large, well appointed, the bed supremely comfortable, the shower large and like standing under Niagara Falls and the free internet access and widescreen tv were an added bonus. We stayed in the hotel for dinner and were very impressed with the quality and value. Breakfast at £9.95 was also excellent. I cannot fault any aspect of this place and would highly recommend it to anyone. Let's hope that once the smell of fresh paint subsides the staff are equally enthusiastic.
the cleanliness of the room and facilities in general was quite impressive the shower was faulty in my room, sort it out guys! it's an unnecessary blip on your otherwise unblemished record
The hotel is lovely; very clean, well maintained etc and the staff are friendly and very professional. During our weekend stay there were four weddings at the hotel and we felt we were treated slightly second rate as we were not wedding guests - it seemed that the weddings dominated the hotel. We did not sleep at all well both nights due to wedding guests sitting outside the bar into the early hours (4am) and chatting outside our bedroom window, which we felt could have been managed better by the hotel management. We also felt that the swimming pool was not particularly useful to hotel guests; when we tried to use it there was only one swimming lane available due to lessons in the other lanes and there were so many people in the swimming lane that it was not a particularly great experience.
The Grounds were beautiful to sit out and look at One member of staff when we arrived was not very pleasant.
The Food was fantastic They know how to cook there steak you ask for rare and you get what you ask for. there are lots of treatments on offer but you need to book them as soon as you arrive to get a space. The rooms are a little disapointing as there in the extended part of the building. you first arrive and the hotel is old you expect the rooms to have beams in the ceiling and to be unlevel flooring. but was in the extention so the rooms are all new, but still very nice size of rooms.
It was in a tranquil but convenient location and the staff were extrememly helpful and pleasant. I think the hotel has been overdeveloped and has lost the character of the original old hall.
It was a short stay but would use it to " venture " out to surrounding site visits , ie Cambridge etc Satisfied with all of the facilities
Friendly reception and pleasant service at mealtime Small room, not very spacious and heating difficult to adjust
Stayed while attending the Duxford flying legends display, location was very good for travelling. Could do with a cash machine, I had to drive to town centre for cash
Clean comfortable room with decent facilities. Bathroom was well appointed. The room was quiet and the air conditioning worked well. The sloping top to the basin in the bathroom was disconcerting! We were served a glass of wine that was off and had to be changed
This was a business stay as were just about all the others in there. The downside and most dissapointing was the restaurant , which has bee excellent was only offering a mediorce Table de hote memnu. very poor for this class of hotel.
New great quality hotel in an impressive old manor house. Highly recommended. It was difficult to find due to the lack of signals.
Very reasonable cost, both for accommodation and evening meal
The staffs are so kind. There were a dresser and bath tub in the room.I could do internet.I could have a comfortable 3days. It took about 20 minutes or more to the Hitchin Station by walk. I think that was one problem. But when I took a city taxi from Hitchin St to this hotel, it takes just ￡3.So it's not so serious problem.I like this hotel.
Very comfortable with friendly staff Not really
It was a convenient place to stay for my partners mums 60th birthday dinner. I used to live in Stevenage so already knew the area and Hotel before our stay. I thoroughly pleasant Hotel with a lovely room and excellent service from the staff.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was lovely and clean
good friendly hotel, excellent breakfast
convienent to town centre, friently helpful staff rooms clean and comfortable.. Bar closed early.Didnt have food all day but this wasnt a problem for us as we were out and about. It was 2 star and good for that.
It was close to where my friend lives in Hitchin. Breakfast was lovely and staff very pleasant. Overall good room, although very, very hot!
The Hotel it's self could do with updating throughout, the cleaning staff could also do with re-training as a bottle of bleech was left in my room but at least that did mean they where cleaning it, however the bed wasn't made nor was my room hoovered in the 3 nights i was there
Secure car parking Milk was out of date in the room. Needed to ask for more tea bags and milk as they were not replenished. Shaving light in bathroom was not working. Although sheets were clean the bed bases were friendly (rolled into the middle) Most disturbing was the fact that a call was put throught to our room 24 instead of 14. It was 02:30 and getting back to sleep was a problem with no apology from the hotel until we mentioned it when asked to pay for a coffee.
Ease of Parking and location. A birthday function was in full swing on arrival with a loud disco going until midnight but reception told me they couldnt change our allocated rooms to quieter rooms. Choice of Breakfast cereals limited to coco pops. Fresh fruit would have been nice at breakfast.
Unpretentious Food not great. We only had breakfast.
quietness no plugs for electric razors in the bathroom
Very little No heating, no hot water, faulty kettle, faulty shower, shower tray overflowed
The period features, wonky floors, fresh clean bed linen, plenty of hot water for the showering. I couldn't fault the cleanliness of the bathroom. I thought the room was rather basic and small for a "Superior" room. I would prefer "real" milk and hot chocolate in the tea making facilities. The kettle also didn't boil but switched off too soon.
This hotel had plenty of "old world" charm and was located in the small town of Royston which had some interesting history to offer, particularly its cave, as well as being surrounded by pleasant countryside near to the city of Cambridge.
It was convenient for my requirements. The hotel entrance and car par was difficult to find and the hotel itself was drab and dreary inside. It smelt of cigarette smoke. There was no-one at reception when I arrived and no bell available to call anyone.
Uncomfortable, soft bed.
Charming exterior, nice location, welcoming bar area, room clean. Overpriced for the service offered - 96 for very small room and no breakfast incl (didnt stay for breakfast as 8 x 2 seemed expensive on top of 96 for very basic room). Shower curtain in bathroom was dirty and mouldy - strange as supposedly hotel just refurbished staff were efficient but not particularly helpful or enthusiastic. Check in was somewhat confusing as not immediately obvious where reception was located Map on hotel website was unhelpful. Entrance to car park is concealed and the roads in the area are part of one way system
Staff were pleasant and helpful Problem with shower, would not turn off properly
Price The sheets in the bed appeared not to have been changed. I slept on top of the comforter.
funny because it seemed to be at legoland a small room with no desk and a tub as big as that of a plane easyjet. do not walk near the airport. luton town is a terrible, if you can fly to Gatwick or Heathrow
Staff was excellent, and her assistance: hiring taxi, quick process for check-in. I also liker having drinks and snacks in the lobby. It took me a long time to figure out how to set the alarm clock, and even so I couldn't set at the time I wanted. No soap/shower gel in bathroom (it was over)
Found the place 2 b spotless and the 2 staff members on desk the 2 guys were very helpful and polite and know how 2 do there jobs. Justb when booking on line the money taken out off card straight away prefer just 2 book with card and pay on arrival because my card is in euros and occured some stupid charges on exchange rates and so on.
Clean, friendly staff, basic but all that was required was there, good value for money Bathroom light didn't work, orange walls, small, small bed, only one pillow each.
Ther was no smokin in the rooms that was the only down fall. I think there should be smoking rooms available and also I asked for a room with window and the windows didnt open got vry warm in the room.
Checking in speed very good, location very close to restaurants and train station. I think the rooms need a shelf or small table, and the air conditioning when its sub zero outside should be turned off.
it was crap couldn't adjust heating, couldn't breathe.
For one night stay it was good, very clean
Welcoming staff.Cooperative and eager to help.Clean environment. No wardrobe and no bedside table or desk for using stationery. No tea making facility in room.
The breakfast was OK Very Noisy, road traffic, trains, banging doors from the bar below. Restaraunt not open for dinner due to refurbishment, which it badly needs.
The staff was very kind, and helpful! The rooms were comfortable. During our stay the hotl was under reconstruction, the workers were a little noisy. The breakfast serving was clumsy.
The room was clean and spacious with tea & Coffee facilities. Normal check- out time is 11 A.M. but they allowed us in our room until 12.15 (reluctantly) and provided storage for our cases until we departed for the airport in the evening. There was loud noise from the Bar on Saturday Night but Sunday Night was fine. Last breakfast is served at 9.00 am., which is a little early for people on a leisure break. My sister asked reception if she could buy some milk (we had run out in the room) and was told to go up town, they could not give her any. Perhaps they didn't have any.
Clean sheets and comfortable bed. Pleasant and friendly check-in person. Asked for quiet room but were given one on main road and next to a noisy couple despite the hotel not seeming to be occupied by many guests on the night. Difficult to find hotel due to no name on the building. Dirty carpets in room. Electronic safe advertised but not in working order. Walls very thin, could hear every noise from next room, and I mean every noise! Wake up early call requested but not received. Stains on room ceiling. Noisy late music from downstairs bar until late. Pictures of hotel on internet very misleading. They flattered the actual condition of the hotel.
There was adequate parking next to the hotel. The room was ready on arrival. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice room. Breakfast was good. Our room was directly above the bar and on the night of our stay there was a DJ and disco. The noise was loud and the base made the floor vibrate, however, although it did not prevent us from sleeping because we were really tired I feel that other guests would find this a problem.
Good breakfast, room clean but lacking in maintenance - see below. The most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in - the base had plywood screwed to it for support, the matress should have been skipped years ago. Shower/toilet floor tiles loose and cracked. tv picture very poor.
Really big room, bath in the bathroom, not a shower as you usually get. close to the airport, you can get a taxi for 5 pounds. Noisy at night not because of the train or planes but because of other customers coming back late at night at taking showers at 1-2am, extreamly noisy plumming
Staff were helpful - if somewhat disorganised. The location of the hotel (between the railway line and a main road) made it extremely noisy. The rooms and corridors were smelly. The hotel seemed to be in the midst of refurbishing some function rooms - the bedrooms also badly need to be updated, decorated and recarpeted.
As commented. Bad description of location
The hotel was clean and central to Luton. We used it purely for "a bed for the night" before going to the airport in the morning. The rooms were simple but had all we needed, bed, shower and TV. The hotel is noisy, both through loud music in the bar and the traffic outside (only single glazed windows I think!). However you do get what you pay for and what can you really expect for £40l! If you want a luxury hotel don't stay here, but if you looking for a cheap and cheerful hotel then this is as good as any.
free internet poor information in the room - meal times etc. no water in room.
Very little, not up to our usual standard Terrible bed, uncomfortable and too small
Quiet, easy reach of centre of town
The location is idealas you can park your car and walk into town. No stress about parking.
Great breakfast, pleasant staff, adequate heating in bedroom on a cold night.Lovely surroundings. Easy access to town centre.
Proximity to town No information given at check in and no information in rooms with regard to timing or where breakfast would be
The setting, the history.
Five minutes walk into town. Stayed in small character cottage close to main building. Room was lovely and warm. Very peaceful. Able to make use if wi-fi. Excellent breakfast. All staff extremely helpful. All minor problems addressed immediately.
Clean, has more character than the chains and is well-located with plentiful free parking in the middle of town. My phone charger was removed in error by the cleaner during my stay but I retrieved it at check-out.
Proximity to town centre Lack of amenities to room. Low standard of fit out, poorly maintained and unclean - i.e. large cobwebs visible.
