Pros: Excellent breakfast. Warm welcome.
Pros: Lovely people, private accommodation with own garden area. Great breakfast, home cooked pancakes and home made jams. And the best coffee all holiday, made just how I like it.
Cons: Location is in the heart of the countryside. Great for walking, but nowhere close by to eat.
Pros: Wonderful place. We were happily suprised both by the hostility, room and location. The breakfast was great, room cosy and not to warm.
Pros: The hosts were wonderful; lovely rooms and although close to the motorway it is quiet and very secluded.
Cons: Not a dislike as the crepes for breakfast were enjoyable but if there was also fruit and or cereals then a 10 out 10 rating would be achieved
Pros: Lovely cool room on an extremely hot day. Host made us feel relaxed and welcome. Breakfast was amazing.
Pros: Perfect,. Nice breakfast,,
Pros: Best home made breakfast and coffee!!!
Pros: My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful 4 nights at this maison, from the moment we arrived we felt welcome. The owner, Natalie speaks perfect English and she is a fabulous host. The room was perfectly presented, the breakfast is a joint effort with Philippe (Natalie's husband) making the most wonderful crepes for the guests before he leaves for work, fresh fruit (grown on the property), homemade jam's, yogurt and bread-pudding, plus bread, cereal and croissants make breakfast a real highlight! The property is only a short distance from local shops, restaurants, and bars, and yet is situated in beautiful countryside. I can not recommend La Suzannerie enough, we will certainly return.
Cons: There are only two things I don't like: 1. That we couldn't stay longer. 2. That my review might mean more people stay and on our next trip they are fully booked!
Pros: Small and friendly bed and breakfast, the owner is fluent in English and very helpful and chatty. Delightful room furnished and decorated with local antiques, comfy bed, tea and coffee, fridge and microwave, excellent bathroom. Beautiful garden, great breakfast and place to sit outside in the sun.
Cons: Everything was lovely.
Pros: The rooms were beautifully decorated and clean. The biggest welcome in the morning and the best breakfast for a large family including a baby. We all left very happy, very full and the whole experience made our day. My kids still talk about the fossils and helping water the garden. Thank you, we will be back.

Pros: The home made yogurt for breakfast was the best natural yogurt I have ever had. The owners were really friendly and were happy for us to picnic in the garden in the evening (there is nowhere to eat within walking distance.)
Pros: Beautiful garden, very friendly owners and a good breakfast made the stay very pleasant.
Pros: Spot less and very very friendly
Cons: Nothing to not like about it.
Pros: Nice location, excellent breakfast
Cons: A bit too B&B for our tastes. Could do with more personal space.
Cons: Terrible WIFI overpriced
Pros: Breakfast, kettle in room.
Cons: Plastic cups, felt everything was minimal. Little things would have made a big difference at little cost. A carafe of water with a glass, more teabags, coffee, some milk. A book of local walks, restaurants etc., not just mass printed tourist board brochures. Personal touch lacking. Not up to standard for price. Too cold for a shower.
Pros: The welcome and interest from the owners of this family B&B was lovely. The house is well maintained in lovely grounds in a small rural village. The inclusive breakfast was simple but tasty, with a lovely selection of home-made jams.
Cons: Although this was not a problem for us, be aware that the owners do not take debit or credit cards. Cash Only. Also, the hosts' English (still better than my French) is not fluent. They make up for that with interest and effort!
Pros: Very friendly and helpful host. Lovely homemade jams and yoghurt for breakfast. Good value for money.
Pros: Good breakfast - nice big crossaints, homemade yoghurt & jams
Cons: It states there is WIFI throughout - there is not. Had to come out of bedroom, walk across to the other side of the house and then you get a signal - clearly not ideal! The bathroom stunk of drains, couldn't wait to have a quick shower and get out of there!
Pros: The warm welcome and friendliness of the hosts. Very helpful in accommodating my friend's dietary requirements. Warm, comfortable and clean room. Lovely surroundings and wildlife in the garden.

Pros: Location, comfort, cleanliness were great. Parking nearby was easy and local dining was great. Late arrival was not a problem.
Cons: The loose toilet seat wasn't great. 8 euros for breakfast was a little steep given what it was.
Pros: A warm and caring welcome from the hosts and an extremely good breakfast. Great value for money.
Pros: Lovely helpful owners
Cons: No onsuite facilities (shower only)
Pros: Owners could not do enough for us.took us 2k to restaurant and picked us up.abb fan.
Cons: Separate toilet from room but we could live with it and bathrobe too small
Pros: Breakfast excellent. Room clean and comfortable.
Cons: The owner spoke no english. On arrival - we mentioned we had travelled 450 miles - but disapointingly offered no refreshment eg cup of tea. Only toilet on the landing - used by the whole house.
Pros: Great place to stay very friendly but basic. Good breakfast.
Cons: Be aware they only take cash
Pros: Very welcoming and hospitable family. So kind and helpful.
Pros: The room was very clean, the shower was new. The owner allowed our daughter to use a cart in the yard.
Cons: There was no sense of privacy (hosts family was there and one could feel privacy only if within own room), no common area, breakfast was far from 'superb', and coming with a pet was somewhat frowned upon.
Pros: The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, especially with regards to my friend’s three dogs - there was a fabulous garden area where we could take them for their ablutions which they loved as it was full of exciting smells!! The area was very calm and quiet.

Pros: Very friendly couple. Unfortunately there was ne evening meal but we brought food and ate on the terrace. Beautiful garden and great view of the countryside!
Pros: The hosts are outstanding. Their home is modern and tastefully decorated. There is a beautiful garden out back with birds chirping. This property is like a retreat and the hosts ensure that your every need is cheerfully met. They are extremely warm and accommodating. It was a pleasure staying with them.
Located in Vivoin, Hôtel Restaurant du Chemin de Fer is within a 5-minute drive of Church of Beaumont-sur-Sarthe and Beaumont-sur-Sarthe Public Gardens. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Quaint hotel in a quiet area, old station house
Cons: Rooms a little small
Pros: Staff in evening particularly friendly Evening Meal super as was the wine. Breakfast a bit pricey -extra charge for coffee -but if you cant afford it don't go to France!!
Cons: Good value for money -but not the Ritz!
Pros: Very easy to find. I was travelling through and this hotel was exactly what I needed and expected. Very clean bathroom and a super comfortable bed with fresh linen.
Pros: Very comfortable with good food and very nice people running the hotel and restaurant.
Pros: Comfortable room and excellent staff attitude. Good quality food.
Cons: Bathroom slightly cramped but no real problem
Pros: Had a very enjoyable one night stay with a friend. Upon arrival we were told that we had been upgraded to a larger room which was a nice touch. Had their evening meal and breakfast the following day and both exceeded our expectations.
Pros: The room was small with the bed against the wall - one of us had to climb over the other to get out! The bathroom, however, was satisfactory though small. The staff were very friendly and carried our bags to the room. Breakfast was good. There is ample parking.
Cons: Food at dinner was not good; very little choice and badly cooked and presented.
Pros: The staff and the dinner menu
Cons: Our double bed whichwas a little small and the fashionable and very shallow hand-basin.
Pros: Food was very good and the staff were very friendly
Cons: Shower to small and room decor a bit dated
Pros: Really interesting property with very friendly host who spoke great English. We stayed in a converted stable, family room. Really quirky decor - which was great. Local cider on arrival was rather nice! Breakfast was great with home made jams and great brioche etc. Kids loved the animals - hens, ducks, peacock and others in the field.
Cons: Would need to drive for an evening meal, but the host can provide a home cooked meal on request. I would imagine this would be good as they grow their own fruit and vegetables. Shower was in the middle of the room over a bath, but we quite liked the quirkiness of this!
Pros: Henri and Nadia were perfect hosts . Made the children feel very welcome also . We loved this stop over .
Cons: Loved it all !
Pros: Quiet, scenic, rural, easy to find. Lovely to see farm animals around. Attentive, knowledgeable host.
Pros: Its a very beautyfull old place. The building is just soooo cool! Each room has it's own little place outside to sit. There are chikens and a peakock walking arround. The silence, the atmosphere, very beautyfull. Our room had a living room in the old bakery with tea and coffee supplies. The bedroom was upstairs and was pretty.. The bathroom was in the building next to it. But that was no problem and it was very clean and stylish. The breakfast was very good!
Cons: We got there when it was 37 degrees. So the room was very hot. There is no vantilator and no musquitonet in front of the windows, so you cant open a window without allowing nice stinging bugs to get in. Also, we wanted to walk arround to see the place, but we were called back because we were on private ground...there was no sign! The owner asked a lot. What we were doing with the water, if we had trash, i should have bringimg the dishes to him instead of washing it myself (because the bowl on the table i used, sometimes was used for toilet! ...so...you put that on the table for us? Weird.) Eventualy we didnt feel free or compfortble.
Pros: Unusual B & B. Very quirky but a great experience. great for anyone looking for something a bit different.
Pros: Farm is interesting
Cons: Toilet is outside
Pros: If you like "something else" this is a very nice location. Not luxurious but authentic. A real experience of the French country life ". Looks a bit messy and not exceptionally clean (just good) but that also belongs a bit the french countryside. A "unique" room, very nice if you are open to it. The owner is very hospitable and does everything to make you happy. If indicated early enough, he can also provide an evening meal with regional and organic products. They really think about using products (including breakfast - regional and organic). If the weather permits, you can have breakfast outside.
Cons: It was cold, but there was a heating in the room that we could arrange ourselves. No Wifi, but that also has its charm. The closest restaurant is 11 kilometers away.
With a stay at La Barque in Beaumont-sur-Sarthe, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Beaumont-sur-Sarthe Public Gardens and Church of Beaumont-sur-Sarthe. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Great location for an overnight stop - just off the A10. Excellent dinner and breakfast.
Pros: A very good restaurant, very French and good value for money. The staff were excellent.
Cons: The hotel is convenient for an overnight stop but the little town is run down and sad
Pros: The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel was quiet at night. All in all very good.
Cons: Our family room has to be entered through the shower room which is a bit odd.
Pros: Their restaurant is very very impressive. Crisp, clean tidy and very classy, the menu was just as impressive, with classic french cuisine and modern twists. Excellent.
Cons: There were a lot of youths some on scooters hanging around the tabac next door, which would put some people off, but this does not reflect back on the hotel and is certainly not the hotels fault.
Pros: The manager allowed us a late check-in (past the advertised hours) and served us a beer after long day on the road. Good location, not far off motorway.
Cons: I have stayed in a lot of value for money places whilst travelling France and felt this was overpriced by 15-20 euro.
Pros: Food in the restaurant was very good
Cons: Sleep was almost impossible due to very loud guests at two in the morning... And later... Sound insulation was non existant... Guests talking loudly, slamming doors, showering at 3am... Not sure if it was a hotel or a party venue.... Then they arbitrarily add breakfast into your bill even though you didn't have it... (After waiting nearly 30 minutes to check out). Pre booked parking was not available...but at least they didn't add a charge for that....
Pros: Evening meal very good with imaginative presentation
Cons: Hotel not opening until 17.30. I understand why but it is a little inconvenient.
Pros: Good value for money
Pros: Evening meal very good
Cons: shower over bath
