Bistro was lovely & good value. Pool was really nice & staff there very helpful. We asked for a travel cot to be in room when we booked but there wasn't, so we had to ask them again. Our room was meant to be ready by 3pm, but when we arrived at 3.15pm we were told it wasn't ready. Our 1 year old had been sick in the car, so we needed our room asap & were disappointed it wasn't ready, we had to wait with her in reception, didn't smell nice for other people. We stayed in the exec suite & we were meant to get turndown service at night - we stayed 3 nights & didn't get offered this service at all.
very nice hotel and excellent price. staff lovely, nice swimming pool etc and close to shops. pillows a little hard but no real complaints
Quiet location and a feeling of space everywhere in the Hotel, including bedroom
This is a lovely hotel and I look forward to staying there again Hotel was perfect
Our flight was delayed and we could get nothing to eat as it was aftre 9 o'clock. Had to be rescued by McDonalds nearby!
A nice contemporary hotel, clean, great faicities with friendly staff and excellent food
Excellent staff, very friendly modern clean hotel
i found the staff very friendly, a great hotel to stay in and ideal for the ladies as its in the shopping complex!! the leisure club was great too
We were very disappointed at the meal-we go to the carlton each Oct and the food was not good
Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff Food was a little over-priced for what it was
the staff so helpful and friendly so clean and fresh
It was a new hotel and everthing was bright and cheerfull The reception staff where poor - they did not get back to me when they said they wood on 2 occassions - new hotel synbdrome??
Spacious well appointed room bar and restaurant disorganised
easy access large parking WiFi connection not working properly
Very clean, new and beautiful building and staff very polite
excellent friendly staff.rooms good no swimming pool
i liked the location and having small children it was ideal for getting around and seeing the sites i didn't like the choices for the dinner menu there was one stagnant menu which was not very appealing.
excellent food, service, extremely clean and comfortable room.
centrally located. excellent breakfast menu. Nice bar that had tradirtional music playing at the weekend
the hotel was in an ideal location, We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel and the food was piping hot and very tasty. Seating in the restaurant was a little cramped and I felt I was sitting too near the people at the tables next to me.
Lovely bedroom. Gleaming bathroom. On-street parking a bit of a nuisance. Would prefer designated parking.
Friendly atmosphere As a business man would like to have Internet Acces in room.
Staff and quality of resteraunt
Music in the Bar. Breakfast was good. Thought the Hotel was a bit dated, especially the Recieption area, very dark and dingy.
I particularly liked the staff both on the desk and in the bar. Excellent and convenient to town. No lift my wife and I are OAPs but the lady on the desk was very obliging and put us on the 1st floor
The staff was excellent and the location in the heart of the city centre could not be beat. Nothing
The food was excellent Lack of parking with the hotel
Excellent standard of comfort and decor in room. Friendly, helpful efficient staff. Good bar and trestaurant. Great blend of traditional and modern in hotel decor. No
Beautiful setting, wonderful old castle, excellent dining, great dogs and donkeys living on site
the quiet surroundings and peaceful atmosphere.
I loved the big grey Irish Wolfhound! Bathroom needs refurbishment.
great atmosphere. beautiful building and lovely gardens
Walking the Irish Wolfhound around the garden, and the breakfast Shame the new wing got such dodgy builders in. Although very confortable the build quality was shocking
I very much enjoyed the home from home atmosphere of the hotel. All of the staff members I encountered were friendly and helpful.
the castle and my room were very beautiful nothing
Stayed here with seven family members...we all checked out each others rooms. Each one was more beautiful than the last! Staff was so friendly, Arthur and Einstein were every bit as charming as I'd heard, breakfast was wonderful and in a lovely setting. I couldn't have asked for anything more from the experience. Got a peek at the extravagantly gorgeous dining room, and you can be sure that if I ever make it back to Ballyseede, I will be dining there! No complaints...this was like a fairytale!
The hotel is like a country mansion with lots of old world charm, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
the quality and comfort of our room plus the courteous welcome
The staff was excellent. We had unintentionally booked our reservation on the wrong day and reception was quick to help us fix our error. If fact we got a reduce rate compared to what we originally booked.
The rooms are very well appointed and spacious. The room price is good value for what you get. The price of the meals in the bar is excessive particlularly for anyone coming from outside Ireland and is in contrast to the room price.
the staff were very friendly and helpful. the hotel itself is luxurious and the food is lovely.
Tranquille and peaceful atmosphere No
Use of the Spa
Deserves its 4 stars - very friendly & helpfull staff, excellent food, spacious rooms and lovely gardens to enjoy evening drink and for kids to explore
unacceptable noise levels in the early hours of smokers outside of reception. This was a big disapointment and ruined our stay as well as our sleep
The staff were superb, all of them !
I have never experienced the level of customer service that was shown at this hotel. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone served us with a genuine smile. Beautiful hotel with lovely ambiance, fabulous food and rooms were all to a very high standard.
Thought it was an excellent hotel with an exceptional breakfast menu. Food top quality. No complaints
staff were friendly and helpful; good food and plenty going on without being intrusive
A very comfortable, friendly place to stay. Bar area a little chilly but the food was good. Restaurant for breakfast was excellent.
the room was large and the breakfast excellent.break fast was a highlight, served by a very pleasant lady. the rate was very good. The bar food was poor quality, over cooked and the mashed potatoes lumpy. The bed room had peeling wall paper ( I mentioned this to the receptionist when checking out). It didnt have the look or feel of a 4 star hotel.
Set menu dinner in the restaurant was outstanding in both quality and value
The comfort of the room and the convenience of location. The parking facility was a definite bonus. Nothing.
The staff are very friendly and the rooms spacious Thought the decor was getting rather dated
It was a very clean hotel with efficient and friendly staff who made you feel at home, And the food was . No
friendly staff, good service and good food
cosy country house feel, within walking distance of Tralee town. Our room was a good size with spacious bathroom. The breakfast menu was good with tasty and substantial food. For our evening meal on a couple of nights, we eat in the bar. Again the food was good & great service. the bar food was good but the standard of cutlery was inferior to that used in the restaurant, giving a 2 star feeling
Comfortable, small friendly hotel Bar area very dark and gloomy in keeping with the weather. No leisure centre and not cheap for quite a small hotel.
Friebdliness Breakfast Comfort but for Shower and heating, Shower tending to go cold durig shower and no heating at early and evening hours.
Simpy answer - I liked everything! Our host could not have made us felt more at home. The room was cosy and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. It was the perfect base to explore Kerry. Nothing!
Sheer luxury and comfort. Bedroom and bathroom absolutely spotless. Set in very pretty gardens. Huge choice of breakfast items. Would definitely stay again.
Convenient for travel purpose in local area.
This a very nice B&B. The room was large, very well decorated and had excellent facilities. The breakfast was very good with a wide selection of continental and cooked fare. The hotel is a bit out of town but with a car this is no problem.
The room design is amazing, cosy and clean. The host is probably the nicest I have ever seen. Breakfast at the conservatory is a wonderful way to start the next day. A little far from the city, but not much of a problem since you'd probably need to drive there in the first place.
The owner was wounderful. On holiday with my mother and sister.Quiet night sleep, and had a deliisous breakfast and were on our way. Can not think of one thing
We enjoyed the wonderful peaceful area. The food was lovely. It was far enough out of the town for privacy and relaxation. We had the fun of Tralee and the quietness of the countryside at the same time.
Very comfortable, spacious room and excellent breakfast
I particularly like the way the owner makes every guest feel special and appreciated. Then the breakfast is excellent; choices from traditional porridge to croissants and coffee, spanning a range to suit all tastes.
It was very nice for our stay of two days and the staff were so lovely!
sitting in the breakfast room overlooking the beautiful view of the green fields and mountains stayed on a saturday night and the guests from a wedding party were quite noisy outside the room in the corridor, though the hotel security sorted out this fairly quickly
the views were fab. there was a very bad smell outside our room 44 and i also felt we were put in the bowels of the hotel. it was a long way from reception and restrauent
First impressions were brilliant, hotel reception staff really polite and welcoming. Rates were very really reasonable for a family room for 4 nights. Irish Breakfast was all you could ask for although no porridge on the menu. Room was beautiful modern and clean, very high standard. Was a bit cold but when I requested a heater it was no problem and brought to my room in 5 minutes. The member of staff also checked the radiators to make sure they were switched on. Cannot rate the staff highly enough. There wasn't anything I didn't like about this hotel
I stayed one night at the Imperial Hotel, after a wedding at a nearby wedding venue. The staff could not have been more accommodating. Upon request, I immediately was given a phone number for a taxi and a personal escort to the nearest store front for internet access. The hotel restaurant was "real Irish." The food was great. My room was comfortable, and there was hot water in the morning for a shower. That's important!
Friendly staff, convenient for business in Tralee, nice food, great value no
The only good thing about is hotel is the breakfast, which is very good. Well were does one start, the hotel room was very dirty, the carpet was badly stained, the bedroom was very small. The shower room had a lot black mould on the wall. There was are bad leak into the shower room from the roof, we reported same, only to be greatly with a shrug of theshoulders. In the 30 years we spent travelling around Ireland i can simply state this is the worst hotel we ever stayer in, our advise for what it is worth avoid this hotel at all costs.
Nice staff, good location
the staff were very helpfull and friendly the lane into car park
Receiption, offered assistance with baggage, very rare, Bed and pillows uncomfortable
The staff were very helpful. I would advise is it in the heart of the town and there is a lot of traffic which is noisy.
The most comfortable room of our tour. Excellent staff, private parking, good location with 3 parks within 300 metres all in a typical Georgian Town street. No atmosphere in the bar - it is more of a restaurant which makes the poor food all the worse. For 'seafood chowder' read salmon chowder. The moules marinere was overcooked and the beefburger flavourless. However the Central Hotel next door has a bar with great atmosphere.
The friendliness of the staff, (without being intrusive), was excellent. As a slightly arthritic person, I found the lack of a lift, ( elevator ) to be an inconvenience.
central location room temperature far too hot and when I opened the window to let in some air the noise from the generator outside made it impossible to sleep
Beautiful location, lovely rooms. Restaurant on site was good Shower drain clogged
no tea or coffee facilities in the bedroom
Our stay was very enjoyable and comfortable.
This hotel had an attention for detail. The quality was suburb from everything including the curtains, Waterford crystal on the tables and selection of body washes! The owner was very likable and very friendly. The view from our room was spectacular with sheep in the distance at the waters edge. Clean clean clean!!! Excellent value for the money. I would highly recommend it to travelers and I'd stay there again.
Hotel was very clean and the manager was helpful. The facilities were ok but not particularly good value for money. Breakfast was good.
The rooms were comfortable and large. We also like the pub right on the premises.
friendly service Wooden floor with carpet, but squeaky floor
Very friendly and helpful staff, nice size rooms, good food available in the restaurant or in the bar. Choice of TV channels a little quirky!
The location and cleanliness and breakfast were very good. I believe there may have been a residents' lounge but this was never shown or told to us
The Bar food was excellent. After reading comments from previous customers re the 'warm welcome' i did expect one myself, but was slightly disappointed with the welcome.
Location was good overlooking the atlantic sea. Facilities good and value for money
The Seashore was one of the highlights of my trip. Ballybunion can be a very busy little seaside resort, but the Seashore is located in a quieter section of town a few minutes away. The room was wonderful as was the breakfast the next morning. I think the estimate of this property as five minutes from the Ballybunion Golf Club is a bit low; however, it's certainly no more than ten minutes from the Club. Given the nighttime bustle in central Ballybunion, I did not mind the slightly longer drive.
beautiful location beautiful guesthouse no
Very comfortable relaxing & spotlessly clean guesthouse beautifully situated a few minutes from the golfcourse which you can see in the distance from your bedroom window. Excellent breakfast served and also valuable golfing tips received from the owner re playing Ballyb. No
great location for the beach, family run guesthouse with large rooms great value for money
The comfort, the little details, smiling faces, the breakfast and the views.
Advice from staff on local possibilities and internet availability. Atmosphere of old manor house. Nothing
Great hospitality. Awesome view. Delightful breakfast
This is one of the finest Lodges you could ever wish to stay at, from the moment you arrive and get an incredibly warm welcome, to the moment you leave wishing to spent more time there, Annette and her team do all that they can to make your stay perfect. They serve the best breakfast anywhere and it is presented so elegantly, a marvellous way to start the day. One of our party was unfortunately taken ill during our stay and Annette could not have been more caring, providing not water bottles and anything else we needed. The views from the house are stunning with an amazing beach only a few minutes walk away; this is truly a total experience not to be missed. Not one thing!
Food and comfortable surroundings less space than previous hotel but we may have been spoiled!
This is the absolute BEST B&B we have ever stayed in! Everything is arranged so beautifully and is really ran more like a 5 star hotel! The home is something you would see out of a magazine and the staff is amazing! The view of the beach and mountains was a delight! The only thing that I didn't like was the distance from Dingle and the drive across the Connor Pass everytime you wanted to make the trip to Dingle. The road is very narrow (sometimes a 1 lane) and is a bit scary, which prevented us from hanging out in Dingle as much as we would've liked. It is about a 20 minute trip total. Not sure it would keep us from staying there again, but thought it worthy to mention.
Very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. They make it very easy to relax.
It is literally across the street from the Ballybunion club house, maybe a 200 yard walk to either of the first tees for the Cashen course and the Old course. The driving range is in the front yard. The inn includes a fantastic restaurant. If you are going to golf, you never have to get in your car once you arrive. The Brocs are the most congenial hosts. I would recommend it highly.
Family owned - Hospitality, warm, inviting, great food! The family was incredibly helpful and kind.
The Broc family and the staff were all very gracious and friendly. The location to Ballybunion is the best above all other properties there. It is literally right outside the door - a 3 minute walk (if that!). And the quality of furnishings, construction, decorating and attention to detail throughout the property is incredible. Very well done!! We'll be back for sure!
We were warmly welcomed by Aiofe Broc who checked us in and got us settled. Had a delicious dinner in the dining room and enjoyed some piano music in the lobby. Location was spectacular - right across the street from the golf club! Excellent WiFi service.
A very warm welcome from Aoifa and Seamus. Lovely room with huge bed, delicious breakfasts. Very close to Ballybunion golf club. I had chosen the hotel because they had a bistro restaurant but they shut it the day before we arrived. That was the only drawback. We would certainly stay there again.
The management and staff went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. The lounge needs to be aired as sometimes cooking odours filter in through the bar.
A wonderful hotel, great people. The restaurant is excellent. No
the owners were very accomodating and personable. Price is a little high, but it is by in Europe and by Ballybunion, so I see why.
the convenience to the golf course at Ballybunion I did not have a top sheet for the bed. Did not really feel that the comforter on the bed was washed every time some one else booked the room. I would have liked a top sheet with a clean blanket instead of the comforter.
Location in Tralee was great and we were able to get an early start on 'The Ring of Kerry' before the tourist buses arrived. Staff were helpful with downloading and printing out flight boarding passes and details. Clean, good sized room.
nothing uncomfortable and stained bed lift not working poor information from reception poor response to complaints
I had a massage in the spa and it was excellent. Breakfast service was excellent. Servers will bring you items not on the buffet table (pastry, fruit, yogart, fresh toast etc.) Locker room in the leisure center was a bit stale smelling. It is very popular with locals and gets much use. Dinning area was packed with Coach Tour customers at breakfast so there were cues for the buffet.
Parking very good, central position, wide range of facilities Some of the (public) furniture very tired, tatty almost.Room fittings ok though.
room was nice, very big and bed was very comfortable.facilities were excellent.used the pool both days with my young son.kept him happy.
rooms were well heated
The room was spacious, staff helpful and informative and made our weekend stay very pleasant.
I have stayed there before and I found the Hotel very convenient for working in Tralee. None
The hotel is in aq great location you can park the car walk about and enjoy a few pints.
yes it was a comfortable stay bed's cosy, and room clean. breakfast was lovely and staff friendly. not being told there was no hot water, we were told buy other quest that there was no hot water.
