When we arrived at the hotel they did not have our booking and did not do very much to help us, we eventually go a room 3 hours later and had to pay 20% more for it. we are not impressed with them or you !!!!!!!
A little expensive even considering the Euro strength versus sterling
Hotel was adequate, unfortunately hotel had obviously lost reservation request from booking.com and were very busy. Meant I ended up in disabled room without bath. Poor choice of food at restaurant and pricey for what the food is.
excellent except cooked breakfast which was too dry.
Did not find anything of note Did not like the bar as too dowdy and no atmosphere
I enjoyed the location, the politeness and attention of the staff, the restaurant - for both evening meals and breakfasts - and condition of the hotel and room. Nothing to dislike.
The hotel was as good as usual. Staff very helpful. Food excellent. I booked on-line and did not specify non-smoking.The room had been used for smoking and it was very noticeable. The reception staff were very willing to change my room but for the second of a two night stay it was not important. I thought there were no smoking inside rules as in the UK???
Rooms were great...able to comfortfably fit 2 baby cots. Good location and very nice hotel and amenities.
It was well signposted when I got to the town and easy to find. The check in was easy and the reception staff member was efficient. A snack in the bar was very reasonably priced. The breakfast was a good price and the charge for having it in the room was very reasonable (Euro 3) . The bed was comfortable with a good mattress. The views were appalling of a traveller encampment and a motorway; there was bird dirt on the window to make the views worse. We closed the curtains in order not to have to look at this view and because there was no airconditioning the room became excessively hot.
Rooms good size and clean/Food good Reception staff on arrival not at all friendly and conducted phone conversation in middle of our checking in without apology or explanation
everything this survey
Staff ,Breakfast and the Irish Bar. food very good. Rooms could do with an update. After asking for our bill to be paid in Euros we were told that this was fine, but on checking we discovered that it had been converted on the day of leaving, very dissapointing.
Nice bar. It was full of locals, they did good food and had a trad session later in the night. I don't think you should repair a bath tub with old duct tape.
Room was spacious, very clean and extremely comfortable. The food in the Bistro was excellent. The location was good for exploring.
Fantastic staff, nice in town location, within a very short walk to Cahir Castle and Swiss Cottage. Very clean. Great value... especially for families as they have nice family rooms. Wonderful full breakfast for residents included. Lovely gardens to roam around in, nice parking on site. nothing that I wasn't pleased with.
Convenient location within walking distance of most all of Dublin, the age of the building gives great character but was very accommodating and comfortable. On our two week trip to Ireland and England this is the only place we spent two nights. Great assistance from the staff.
A comfortable, clean quiet and good value for money hotel with a good central town location.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was basic but clean and not too modern. I had been there before and would go back for short breaks etc. I also like the in-house music because you can have a drink and not worry about getting back to the hotel. Overall it's a nice friendly hotel. No I would'nt have gone back there if I was not happy or had some complaints. Keep doing what works, if it's not broke don't fix it. I have read other reviews and they are all good and you can't please everyone all the time.
Very friendly and helpful staff. A great central location in town with easy accessible car parking. When I checked into my room, it was quite cold. I mentioned it to the receptionist and was told that the central heating was on a time setting and my rooms heating would go on at 8pm.
Convenient for the reason I was in Cahir which was for my nephews funeral No lift, the door to the bathroom was very noisy and I am currently undergoing Chemo treatment and my sleep pattern is not great but waking my husband up with a creaky door was annoying. The shower was tepid in the morning and I had to get my husband to turn off the shower as the dial was so stiff and hard to turn. Having to chase the batteries around on the floor from the tv remote control as there was no back on it was the final straw.
Stayed at this hotel for a wedding recently, which was excellent. Food was fabulous. The room was only ok. Bed was small, shower wasnt the cleanest, room was small. The bed was small and not very comfortable.
Not impressed by the food but the quality coul;d have been affected by the fact they had a coach party staying. Coach party thought they should take priuority.
Stayed here for one night and I hated it. The room was stuffy and smelly and badly needed to be updated. There was a four poster bed frame with no drapes, which, due to the size of the room, resulted in us constantly bumping into the frame. We had to leave the windows open due to the heat and smell, which meant we were kept awake by all the pub and nightclub drinkers shouting, screaming, kicking beer barrels around right up until 4am.There were tea making facilities but the water was so disgusting that we couldn't drink the tea. We were charged 10 euro for two 750ml bottles of water from the restaurant. The tv didn't work, somebody did come to fix it but then the remote didn't work. Nobody asked or cared if we enjoyed our stay. It was awful. Pretty much everything.
Restraunt staff were friendly and helpful Shower was unsatisfactory shower head did not stay on mount on wall , I stayed alone but my room had 2 single beds a double would of been more suitable and comfortable
Hotel is right in the town centre. Bar area and lobby were nice and comfortable. Car park is not signposted and access to the hotel from it is not easy, as you have to go through a dark ballroom to get in and again there are no directions given. Dining area is badly understaffed. People struggled to get seats as tables were left uncleared and my order wasn't taken for a long time. No iron in room and television was not tuned properly.
Wedding meal. Wedding music. Some staff unhelpful, Bar ladywas abrupt. Taking covers off wedding seats during the wedding- not impressive. Room wasn't nice. hOTEL not sign posted properly- no sign outside hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was basic enough but good value for money. Breakfast was tasty.
Very pleasant rooms with good outlook Water in showers could have been warmer
The staff were very friendly and the location in such a nice town makes this very convenient for the South East Coast of Ireland N/A
The Hotel was badly lit up. No light to shave with in the morning. " lights flashing during breakfast and the corridors poorly lit.
Room very clean and the bed was one of the best ive slept in, staff were fine but could not find my reservation, eventually it was all sorted
The main thing about my stay at the Minella was the peace and quiet I have experience on all three occasions. The time before last was my Uncles funeral and the the hotel made the trip more bearable. It has a homely atmoshpere due to the couple that run the place. Far better than a corporate chain of Hotels.
The place was very peaceful with a slow moving river at the edge of it's grounds. The gardens we well maintained and the food was of a high standard. The staff we friendly and helpful.
The quality and friendlieness of the staff.. N/A
Relaxed and comfortable atmosphere Nothing
The hotel grounds were fantastic and the rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The staff were unfriendly, particularly the owner.
signage out side was not visible , especially when you come in from the waterford side . We passed the Hotel out
the views I felt the hotel was a bit shabby for a 4 star hotel and needed some tlc
Overall good, but at 165-euro not value for money. Room was adequate and comfortable, but showed some signs of wear. Overpriced.
I liked the hotel setting, it's cleanliness & comfort, and the nice manner of it's efficient staff. The food at the wedding reception which I attended was delicious, and the buffet breakfast was also tasty. I particularly enjoyed having a swim plus chillout at the hotel's superb Leisure complex. I did not notice any bar food menu available.
The staff were welcoming and friendly yet professional. I would describe the room furnishings as simple rather than basic. Most importantly though, the room was clean, the shower was hot and the bed was comfortable. On the other hand the food on offer both for dinner and breakfast was simply superb. I had the pleasure of dining in the restaurant on the night of my stay and it was no less than a five star meal. A basket adorned with three types of fresh bread was placed on my table while a fillet steak and fresh prawns were being expertly cooked and every aspect of my meal exploded with flavour! Bravo! While the room were clean and functional, given the very high standard set by the food on offer, I think the owners would be wise to invest in updating some of the fixtures, furniture and furnishings.
It was just what I needed while in Clonmel, a place to call a bit of a home away from home. I just wish breakfast could have been available earlier.
the breakfast was lovely and the room was very clean and spacious, will definitely stay here again
Central in clonmel nice trendy modern b&b handy for weekend break nice friendly staff and a good breakfast the next morning what more could ya want for €70 a couple
Great location, friendly staff The shower pressure was very poor, & the tv remote did not work, however, in fairness to the hotel, the owner did apologise & to be honest for €40 including breakfast it would be churlish to let these small niggles affect your enjoyment of what is a lovely wee guest house in the centre of Clonmel !!
doors banging at three oclock in the morning.
Beautiful location, really special place, staff were helpful, friendly and obliging.
Exceptionally friendly and considerate family run hotel , food very reasonably priced and of a very high standard . Rooms very warm and confortable . Would recommend this hotel to anyone . Many thanks . Philip and Carol Brennan
A great location on the Cork, Waterford and Tipperary borders in a very beautiful part of the country. The Hotel is full of character and the surrounding area has lots of places of interest. Mount Melleray Abbey is impressive and very interesting. You are within easy driving distance of some of the most beautiful places in Ireland.
The whole experience was of comfort and friendliness. The Hotel is warm and quaint like an old leather chesterfield chair, I did not try the food but there were a lot of people in the restaurant which is a good sign and the Guinness was excellent. The location was well placed for hill walking with great views form the hotel windows. None
Made moast welcombe , lovely and quiet. Very cold, still have a lot to learn.
The owners were courteous and helpful athe areand offered advice on items of interest around
very friendly and helpfull staff 10 out of 10 for effort made most welcome
I had a fantastic stay. It is a beautiful property located right next to the monastery at Mount Melleray. The room was small, but very comfortable, furnished beautifully with antiques, and with a lovely view of the surrounding countryside. Best of all, the proprietors are incredibly friendly and accommodating. After a long day of travel, it was such a gift to be received with a cup of tea and a good conversation. And the price was perfect. My only regret is that I could not stay longer. Really, my only regret is that I could not stay longer. It was a lovely stay, beginning to end, in a beautiful space I would be happy to visit again.
The staff are pleasant and helpful; the food is good, plentiful and inexpensive; My room was clean and comfortable. Overall it was good value for money. I have no complaints at all.
The hotel was lovely, had lots of character and in a beautiful setting. The views were fabulous and we loved going up to the monestary just round the corner. They also had great food! We had both a breakfast, included in the room rate and a dinner. It was very reasonable and the hosts were very friendly. My teenage daughters say it is their favourite place so far!
The staff was most friendly and accommodating. The food was home cooked and outstanding! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
This hotel is managed to a high standard, the rooms are very clearn & spacious. The staff are both helpful & friendly, the breakfast is very good also.
Great location and atmosphere in a country house setting. Rooms are excellent. Nothing
Basically everything-the service was 1st class and welcoming from start to finish. Very helpful on all issues. Superb food and accommodation, and ideally located
The food was very good and the staff helpful.
No Internet in rooms
The rooms were fairly basic but clean and a lovely location The hotel could seriously do with a make over, it has great potential and is in a beautiful location. It just needs some new decor
Good location Within 10 minutes of arriving staff attempted to enter our locked room on 2 occasions without knocking
very good location, access to nearby town, hotel has secure covered parking facilities which provides excellent peace of mind lovely scenery, pool, gym area nice
Staff were very nice. but the rooms were very basic and the beds a little uncomfortable. The rooms were pretty basic and the beds a little uncomfortable. the breakfast time was not early enough and it was meant to be continental but there were only a few cereals available early, not even any toast!
The hotel was nice and quiet. We enjoyed a very relaxing stay there. The bar is very cleverly located away from the bedrooms. The staff were friendly and helpful. I thought the hotel was a slightly let down by the current decor. The bar furniture looks a little dated and a refresh would do it the justice it deserves. That aside I cannot fault the Hotel in any other way.
Staff were friendly Can say anything really good! Have stay in other hotels and this was the worst. The bar was over heated and no outside seating.Breakfast was tea and fry .Waited and waited for waitress to come back to ask for toast, she disappeared.Gave up!
Very old, not very modern, badly in need of a makeover.More like a clubhouse than hotel. See above
I very much enjoyed my stay at the Gold Coast Golf Resort. The hotel was in a great location, although it is a dangerous walk with a buggy up to main road. The room was clean and comfortable and the swimming and changing areas were well looked after.
The staff did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel was convienient to a swiming pool, golf course and life-guarded blue flag beech. The whole place needs a major a face-lift.There was a constant drone from the bathroom that became annoying. Given the current economic climate I wouldn't say if offered value for money, but they're not on their own there.
the staff was friendly, rooms good size and comfy, very nice surroundings we found many dead flies in our bathroom.
Very welcoming, with tea and coffee facilities and fantastic views of the bay.
Nice seaviews.Close to good country Irish pub for meals. Comfortable
This was a fabolous b +b just a few minutes from the town of Dungarven. Nora and her husband who own the premises were very friendly and lovely people who made our stay very enjoyable we will definately be returning.
the site was wonderful with the view over the bay right there - lovely view for the breakfast room in the morning- room very noisy in the front and up some very steep stairs
Peace & quiet. The views from the dining room. Ease of access.
The warm and friendly staff None
Friendly host. Very informative about the area. Relaxing. Would recommend this guest house to friends or family.
A very pleasant stay with an absolutely fabulous view of the bay and mountains. Highly recommend.
I could write for hours as to my stay! The Fahey family were tremendous, the house was spotless, the views magnificent, the food 6 stars... They were so helpful. The Seaview is truly a Jewel of Ireland. A testiment to the people of Ireland! I am already to see how soon I can go back. Sincerely, Dana Robbins I did'nt like the fact I had to go home!
95% friendly & informative personnel. Comfortable room, yet smaller than I expected following the internet pictures. Lack of music / atmosphere in the restaurant / bar area during the evening. Bedroom door/s needed to be 'slamed' to close, therefore disturbing other hotel guests. Shower head required changing.
Friendly atmosphere and good facilities. Centrally located, only 5 mins walk to Dungarvne centre and well positioned to explore local area.
familyathmosphair slow internet; not really good kitchen
The room was nice, the staff were friendly The smell of cooking as you came into reception; the fact that after we checked in, went to our room, unpacked lay down on bed a lady came in to hoover as if we werent there
Rooms and beds were very comfortable, proximity to the town makes it an ideal spot for sampling the town life but also giving the feeling of being in the countryside. The food in both the bar and for breakfast was very good. Service in bar/restaurant was very slow.
The location is great and the rooms very spacious I thought the quality of the breakfast was very poor. It tasted like very cheap produce and not what I had expected.
Very Nice Hotel but 150 per room way too expensive, leisure centre good
Hotel was well located for my needs (attending a meeting at a local food company). Staff were OK about me using a computer at Front Desk in order to check my e-mails. There was a broken toilet-roll holder in my room. I didn't bother to complain, as it was only an overnight stay.
Great service and location
Comfortable though a bit worn. Pleasant bar and cleaning staff and waiter for breakfast on 2nd morning. Poor restaurant service and surly waiter. Very Unsatisfactory breakfast experience. Charged for tray service we didn't have.
Location of the hotel was fantastic with views over the strand. I was there for a wedding and the staff and service were excellent. I thought the toilets in the reception & function room area were very dated and needed a make-over. They were kept clean, but they were just very old-fashioned for a nice hotel.
We loved the fact that hotel was right on beach with stunning views. Surrounding area is beautiful. Food was reasonably ok. In the evening, there were gangs of teenagers hanging around outside hotel, mainly because there is a takeaway in the car park, which is a bit tacky to say the least.
The hotel exceeded our expectations for a short February break with 2 young kids - lovely swimming pool, great play area including bowling alleys, family friendly, top quality dining, great location and suberb staff, at a great price. Throw in the twin hotel facilities a short walk away and we had exceptional choice. Great service and value all in all. We will be back...
The close proximity to the beach - right outside the car park! It was lovely after a busy day to walk on the beach in the evening and chill out. The pool area was good, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, etc. but changing rooms small and at times crowded. Comfortable room. Good overall but not great. Staff were a little indifferent. Took a long time to get served in the bar. Twice we had a long wait at reception to get our key (old fashioned with big wooden keyring - not allowed to take out and keep with you). Just some negatives, but the room was very comfortable though decor dated.
Kids could play bowling and kids play area was excellent no
