Pros: A wonderful warm and relaxed welcome began our memorable stay. Our room was spacious, beautifully furnished and characterful. Many kindnesses were extended, even without asking. A couple of special requests met without fuss - such as permuting the breakfast menu and asking for something that wasn't listed. One of the best B&Bs - if not the best - I've ever stayed in.
Cons: Having to leave. :-)

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The food was amazing the hotel was outstanding my entire experience was fantastic and I will most definitely be back again !
Cons: Some of the staff could have been a little more attentive and professional but most were fantastic one manger in particular went above and beyond.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The old building is nice, if not exceptionally grandiose and seems devoid of essential period features such as an impressive staircase, gallery and full height Georgian windows. The setting is a little sparse, remote and like some of the front reception rooms - lacking the character & intimacy you'd have in say, the K-Club Hotel for similar money. However the bedroom was large and comfortable with a new TV & super fast internet for streaming live stock prices direct from New York.
Cons: The front desk are good, the food is adequate but the bar staff let the place down, nothing major - just hipster young fellahs who need more training to develop stronger interpersonal communication skills and c'mon,. the customer is always right - what kind of kip doesn't stock Jameson Black Barrel with the Middleton distillery only 2-miles down the road ? Barry Crockett would have been outraged too.
10.0 Excellent

Excellent host - The hosts were very friendly, and responded to queries at the earliest. They took utmost importance to ensure we felt at home ! The room was also very nice with all amenities needed.

Cons: Nothing
4.5 Okay
Pros: Wonderful dinner in the restaurant. Excellent seafood perfectly cooked. The friendly professional lady who was serving in the restaurant. The pleasant lady who served breakfast.
Cons: The en-suite bedroom was large and pleasantly furnished but not adequately heated in the sense that there was no heat from the radiator early in the morning (it must have been turned off centrally). The well-appointed large bathroom had no heating of its own. Consequently I did not have my usual morning shower in case I caught a chill on this cold late-October morning. This was not what I was expecting for a EUR 160 B&B charge for single occupancy. The other staff (family members?) were professional but rather abrupt.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic food and lovely spacious rooms.
Cons: Bed was a bit hard. A mattress topper would probably solve the problem.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Food was excellent hotel very clean and cost
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Aherne's is a class act: it knows its business and does it outstandingly well, with apparent graceful ease, in a hospitality world where the new and hip often attracts more attention than the solidly traditional done expertly. The bustling bar, restaurant, large handsome bedrooms - and residents' lounge with a real fire - are quite old fashioned, though furnished with a scattering of lovely antiques - but sparklingly maintained and wonderfully comfortable. Although there are choices for vegetarians and carnivores, fish is the star of the lunch and dinner menus. Breakfast, with fresh orange juice, local apple juice, fruit such as poached pears, home made brown bread and preserves, and cooked choices including fish, is magnificent
Cons: I cant think of a single thing that Aherne's could do better. First time visitors may be disappointed by the site which lies between the end of the main street which took a battering in the recession from which it is only now recovering, and a back street, with only glimpses of the sea from first floor windows, but three generations of family have turned it into an oasis of comfort and good food, equally beloved by locals and tourists
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Customer service was excellent. Food was delicious. The fire in the residents lounge never went out.
