Pros: Margaret and Ger couldn't do enough to make you feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The choice of breakfast was great and the food was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere in the beautifully decorated home was relaxed and the hosts spent time telling us of the best places to visit. It was a pleasure to stay at the Glengarry, and on leaving Margaret and Ger it was like saying goodbye to old friends. We would definitely recommend, and indeed hope to return. P.S. I forgot to mention Ben, the host's most gorgeous Labrador ... He is a big old softy who loves a cuddle

Pros: The room was lovely. The bed was comfortable. The house was spotless.
Cons: The position of the sofa if you wanted to watch TV. No table to put your coffee cup on. No bottle of water in the room. Would have liked a rug beside the bed as the floor was wooden.

Pros: The absolute comfort, cleanliness and peacefulness, especially at the back of the premises. The host was very gracious and welcoming and explained everything well. I have stayed in some very expensive hotels but few would compare to the standard of that room that I stayed in.

Cons: Nothing, it was exactly what I was looking for.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Central location; friendly staff; great breakfast; comfortable bed.
Cons: Car alarm; no parking.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location is excellent if you like a town environment. Several nice eating places nearby as well as the inevitable Pubs. :-) Once the new bypass is completed in late 2019, I would say New Ross will transformed, as the heavy traffic will be kept out of the town, and the old town will be a delight Everyone I met and interacted with in the guesthouse were charming and helpful during my short stay. Breakfast was good and potentially a gutbuster of choice available, but I limited myself to tea and a small cooked breakfast which set me up for the day nicely.
Cons: I found it rather noisy early in the morning from both the Council maintenance teams and nearby delivery traffic. The window had to be kept closed to keep the noise down, which then meant the windows were completely steamed up in the morning and the room felt fugged up. A small vent would help here. Bed and the room were a wee bit cramped for a big bloke! I did see there is a larger single room which maybe worth asking for?
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic budget B&B. Excellent value for money in a downtown location. Room was clean and well presented. Lovely common room with free teas and coffees. GREAT choice for breakfast in the cafe downstairs. Food was very nicely presented!!! Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Cons: 4ft bed in the room a bit small for a couple, but having said that we did book an economy room. Hey ho...

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff really friendly ,lovely bar food
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, on beautiful grounds, the food was good a lot of choice, the staff were friendly.
Cons: The only criticism we had was with the carvery on the Sunday, which being a restaurant is open to the public, there were long queues, and then people milling around trying to find a table, the food however was delicious. In our opinion though this could be reserved for residents only for the first hour.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location perfect once you have a car. Lovely place for a family get together.
Cons: Bathroom, while clean, was ok. Would have preferred a walk in shower rather than one in bath with a shower curtain and green stuff coming out of shower head and tap.
6.7 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good
Cons: The product was shabby, carpets woodwork all need upgrading, the handle came off the door to the bathroom.i asked two members of staff could I see the restaurant menu one informed me he'didnt' work there...so no menu.the other staff member when asked sent me to the restaurant (it was closed)so we ate else where for our two night stay .poor service.

Cons: Lighting in bedroom not good for reading
7.1 Good
Pros: The leisure centre was perfect for my son
Cons: A bit erratic at dinner time. In my opinion the staff were too young there didn’t seem to be no one in charge.
7.9 Good
Pros: Old school barman, great service
Cons: The common areas need a little tlc
8.0 Excellent
Pros: A great breakfast with plenty of choice. My only personal extra would have been some pastries as I have a sweet tooth. To be fair there were plenty of croissants if I wanted them. The evening food in the restaurant is always good. Apart from the safe all the usual requirements for a comfortable stay were there. The bed was very comfortable. The room was lovely and quiet so we were able to leave our window open all night for air. It was nice to be a little bit away from the main road so no traffic sounds were present even outside in the garden. The hotel has a relaxed, comfortable air about it.
Cons: I feel some public areas like the stairways are in need of a freshen up. There is no safe in the room which is fine if you don't have valuables but if I was travelling with passports etc I would not necessarily choose this as a first option stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was lovely, beds were comfy and clean. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were lovely. I loved the location and the beautiful view
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like
7.3 Good
Pros: Room was big, spacious and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and accomodating.
Cons: Shower over bath was awkward to use. Also grout between wall tiles in shower area was slightly blackened.
7.0 Good
Pros: food in pub was very good and served fast , swimmingpool was nice for kids , Hotel staff very frindly and helpfull , breakfast was nice
Cons: pool closes at 7:00pm for kids,

6.3 Good
Pros: We liked the large, ground-floor room. We liked the price. We liked the location in relation to where we were going. We liked the staff member who checked us in.
Cons: The rugs and other 'soft goods' need an upgrade; the carpet was particularly worn and dirty. The dining room is a design horror show, exceeded only by the uncomfortable chairs and horrible cooking. I ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad for dinner. Whatever it was seemed to be slabs of KFC chicken atop a mass of green leaves swimming--and I really mean drowning--in some sort of dressing in a deep bowl usually used for pasta dishes. I complained; the manager (possibly owner) asked what was wrong and I told him: it was a soup, not a salad. He said he'd fix it; he brought it back with NO dressing, but, this time, sprinkled with parmesan; if it had any the first time, it had drowned. The breakfast the next morning was no better, and the service was distracted (I'm being kind), which is rare in Ireland. We thought this might be a serviceable stop when we booked, but no. I shall only darken its doorway again in a dire emergency.
6.7 Good
Pros: Hotel was clean.
Cons: Booked the stay for my husband with pay later option. When he arrived, hotel had no record of booking. We had booking confirmation number. Hotel also tried to charge more than what it was booked for. Got sorted in the end but just a hassle that was not needed.
9.6 Excellent

6.7 Good
Pros: Good solid breakfast with very pleasant staff
Cons: Definitely could do with being updated, toilet seat falling off toilet
8.8 Excellent

Pros: The fairy woods were amazing. Well worth a visit.
5.8 Okay
Pros: liked the style if the main house. Marc was pleasant & explained their endeavour to organic model of veg
Cons: better quality & choice of menu. Cold response from Emma did not offer any greeting or welcome when serving food.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Lovely house and gardens with lovely rooms and beautiful aspect
Cons: Meals were medium quality, breakfast very slow to appear Breakfast room a bit tired Shower cold in room and shower head broken Spa not really in action apart from swimming pool Tiles fell of wall mid shower and response to situation from staff low key
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful tranquil home to stay in Emm a and mark are fantastic hosts and the fact we could bring our two babies with us was fantastic
Cons: Nothing at all it meet all our expectations and more
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The host, Marc, is very welcoming. He even made it possible for us to enjoy an ad hoc afternoon high tea event for four. Breakfast was great too. The gardens as well are very nice, especially the wilder part across the 'street'.
6.3 Good
Pros: The house is lovely and the hosts are really kind and gentle. The room was big and the bathroom big and clean. The B&B has a lovely garden.
Cons: The mansion is historical so of course not energy efficient and got really cold at night ( cosy if you can stay in bed, but a bit uncomfortable if you have to rock a small baby as in our case). The host were super nice thought and gave us an extra heater. The sink has no mixer. Overall, for the price maybe I would have expected a bit more.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: In addition to the beautiful furnishings, the amazing gardens and the swimming pool/ jacuzzi, it was wonderful to find the perfect book on the bedside locker and an easy-to-play book of music on the grand piano! However, being at your sparkling, conversational best around the communal breakfast table may be a pleasure for some, but can be difficult for non-morning people :-/
Cons: The bedcovers need to be wider in order to fully cover the bed. It took a very long time for the water in the bathroom to heat up.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great laid back atmosphere and charming family run business.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Hosts & employees were outstanding!
Cons: The Peacock Room smelled like mold but still lived our stay there.

Pros: We quickly got to like the place. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was really good and staff extremely helpful. We felt then that maybe dinner would have being really good. The owner is a mine of information about the locality and it's history. Him and his wife are a lovely couple. Great walks in the woods nearby.
Cons: Our first reaction when we saw it, was that it looked dated. Total silence when we walked in, like it was deserted. We went out for dinner. Hotel menu seemed expensive

Cons: Very little to dislike if you want modern decor it's not for you this is a very charming old school hotel

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We found the Ceder Lodge to be a very beautiful picturesque hotel, we wer welcomed by the owner Tom and he was very friendly, we had dinner and breafast in the hotel. The service was excellent, very tasty and clearly fresh produce served at all times. Tom was very helpful in advising tourist attractions in the area which were close by and we stayed for the long weekend in august. It is a peaceful area and provides easy access for walks and it has a beautiful bar with friendly staff. The room was cosy, good WiFi throughout the hotel, Would highly rate this hotel and its owners and ideal for a weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle. Liam and Nicola

Pros: Bed very comfortable.Food in the restaurant was fabulous and staff were lovely .
Cons: Very noisy with traffic.Breakfast should be included in price.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Breakfast good didnt think should hav 2 pay should b in with room give enough money allready for room
Cons: Car park park should b in aswell
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice friendly staff.
Cons: Room fairly dusty, bathroom tiles needed a good scrub , generally just ok, have paid less for much nicer. 'Boutique' in hotel title is a bit ambitious ! View from room 303 was not great.
7.1 Good
Pros: In a good area
Cons: No parking on site and the elevator was broken when we were there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The shower and bed were fabulous. Also our room cards were ready for us when we checked into the hotel look
Cons: The elevator was out of order so going up 3 flights of stairs with luggage wasn't ideal.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, clean and comfortable.
Cons: There was no private parking for our classic car. Breakfast was extra which made the accommodation expensive.
5.4 Okay
Pros: There were two members of staff, Charlotte & Anna who were extra helpful. Tried their best to accommodate our needs. And their breakfast was fantastic. Thank you kindly to them for their help, and care throughout our stay.
Cons: The lift was broke upon arrival which made travelling with my 80 year old grandmother extra difficult. The 2nd floor is the lowest floor of rooms which meant 3 flights of stairs. We were told it would be fixed the following day but still broke on the 3rd day when we left. There is generally one member of staff working, who looks after the cafe, the reception, the bar, and the restaurant at the same time. Meaning If you need attendance you have to go searching for someone. The breakfast was excellent but the dinner in the restaurant was poor. I ordered medium rare steak which was burned. It looked and tasted like it was made on a bbq, and considering it took 40 minutes after our starter to be served was very disappointing.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Clean......quiet
Cons: No parking provided Got door call from staff at 9am (wrong room)....got housekeeping call at 10.20 when departure time is 11.30
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff were excellent. A big shout out to justin who went above and beyond. However all the staff were friendly.
Cons: The only criticism I can give is that out of the 4 days I stayed there, the lift was out of order for 3 of them. The view from my room was like looking at something from a war zone. I understand this is out of your control so maybe a bit harsh. Also you could invest in some fans for guests. My room was extremely warm which made it difficult to sleep.
