Pros: They welcomed us like old friends, even though this was our first time. The bed was comfortable, plush towels, Clean room and rocking chairs in the front of our room. They had a 4th of July celebration and included all guests , food was delicious and it was a wonderful stay. We’ll definitely be back.
Cons: N/A
7.5 Good
Pros: Owners were pleasant, room was orderly, grounds were neat.
Cons: The reason for the low score on cleanliness were the amount of centipedes in the bathroom,I was told it was because of all the rain but it gave me the creeps to see them in the bathroom! Otherwise it was tidy and cute. The ice is locked up in the office so if they aren't around...no ice. Also we have a truck and found it hard to park,if the parking lot were about 2'wider that would help. Overall we would stay there again.

Blue Ridge Inn - Sylva - Building
7
9.2 Excellent (461 reviews)
Overview Reviews
The Blue Ridge Inn lives up to its name by placing visitors within easy reach of the Blue Ridge Mountains area running through North Carolina. While the property is in Sylva, North Carolina, visitors are just a short distance from the Asheville area and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and minutes from the Harrah’s Casino, the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad and the popular Museum of the Cherokee Indian. The Asheville Regional Airport is less than 40 miles from the site and natural landmarks like the Tuckasegee River and Pinnacle Park are within five miles. Of course, the pet-friendly property is more than just a well-placed spot to rest your head after a busy day. It is a home-like space where such amenities as business services, free Wi-Fi, daily breakfast service, a snack bar, free parking, and 24-hour reception are also part of your stay. Designed in the classic, appealing motel style, it features only 33 rooms, meaning it is quiet and low-key at the end of the day. Its location in the heart of town means you can easily walk to the many area restaurants and cafes, entertainments and even a local park. The rooms are all furnished with premium bedding, a microwave and mini-fridge, a work station, an entertainment system, and a large private bath. Rooms can be chosen as one or two-bed layouts. Whether for a single night or extended stay, the Blue Ridge Inn offers a great location, comfortable accommodations, and nice amenities that include a tasty breakfast to start each day.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Blue Ridge Inn is located in the heart of historic downtown Sylva within walking distance of interesting architecture, restaurants and shopping. My dual-gueen room was clean, odor free, climate-controlled, comfortable and well-appointed. The complimentary machine brewed coffee is quite acceptable. Use your travel cup.
Cons: Unless you are motivated by simple carbohydrates, avoid the free breakfast in favor of the coffee shop, a short drive down Main Street.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We passed through Sylva on our roadtrip as it was a good distance from the Great Smoky Mountains and I've also always wanted to see the town since seeing the movie Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Sylva is the loveliest town with some great places to eat (recommend City Lights Cafe for lunch/dinner and White Moon for breakfast - both are walking distance from Blue Ridge Inn). Pretty much everything in town is walking distance including a couple of breweries! The room was clean, had everything we needed.
Cons: Only a little thing - we specifically chose a motel over a hotel as we needed to lug all of our suitcases into our room to repack our rucksacks for the next few nights of our trip, so driving up to the door would've been ideal. Unfortunately when booking we didn't realise that a tiny portion of rooms are up some stairs, and ours was! So no parking directly in front and also we had to get 3 heavy suitcases up the stairs. Also woman on reception wasn't particularly welcoming and was a bit abrupt!
6.8 Good
Pros: The room itself was wonderful.
Cons: Was told we could check in early at 1:00. Then refused to let us had to wait in a car without air conditioning till after 3:00. Locked the doors to lobby and wouldn’t even let us wait in there either.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Besides the very fresh and modern decor, we loved the hostess who greeted us and signed us in! What a wonderful experience we had at this motel.
Cons: No
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, friendly, helpful staff, very clean room.
Cons: Complex TV remote- hard to operate.

That was OK, but the room was all the may at the end. So was still a walk for her. Would have been nice to have a bottom floor or a closer room to the breeze way.. Over all stay was good.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helpful and clean
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was just great. The river is lovely. And you can have breakfast on the deck overlooking the river. This outweighs the fact that the orange juice was really orange drink and the breakfast wasn’t superlative. There was definitely enough with variety to suit different dietary preferences. The room was very good, and overall comfort And other amenities were excellent, considering the cost. It was excellent value for the money, and we’d stay here again just to sit by the riverside.
Cons: Breakfast. Would’ve liked to of had some sausages instead of bacon that Wasn’t lean. Would’ve liked a real juice.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was excellent, the cabin was great and very comfortable, I especially liked that I could open all the windows and enjoy the mountain air
Cons: That my stay was too short and my wife could not accompany me
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very quaint, in the middle of everything. Very easy to get around the area.
Cons: Stone path to firepit.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location was great. The homemade desserts left for us were amazing and a great touch. The cabin has a great feel to it.
Cons: The bed was more firm than our comfort level was used to. The power went out while we were in the spa tub. The master bedroom lost power to spa tub and TV. The dishwasher either lost power or did not work. We got up the next morning and the dishes were half clean and there was water in the bottom of the dishwasher. Apparently a breaker Tripped in the unit somewhere. Also it appeared as though the hot tub was in the unit but it was at the indoor pool housing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the cabin and creek
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the feel of the cabins in their surroundings with all the rhododendron, trees and brook, and the hosts were extremely nice and friendly.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Private cabin in convenient location. All the comforts of home!
Cons: The mattresses were memory foam, I believe. We were not used to that and found it a bit uncomfortable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very peaceful, quiet location. Had a stream right in the back yard. Dog friendly. Kid friendly. Had a mini grill outside, great little kitchen, washer and dryer, TV, wifi. Really everything you would need. Staff was pretty friendly- for the most part. Clean cabins and property. You can borrow DVDs, games etc from the main office.
Cons: The pool was closed when we came- which was one of the reasons we had booked the property (that was disappointing as my daughter was looking forward to it). We were not told. Dogs are welcome but not free- there are fees per dog + an additional cleaning fee (mandatory)- which we also didn't know. When I came the staff was pretty stand offish. He told me that my card was declined and stared at me. Really akward. It turned out, it was an old card that booking.com had on file- not my current card. Was a weird interaction when first arriving. You need cash to purchase fire wood and any goods - can't add them to your bill- so if you don't carry cash on you- buy your wood and extras ahead of time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The creek in the back was so calming and the whole property was so clean and taken care of
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Adorable cabins in a spectacular setting! Definitely returning.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The cabin itself was really nice and extremely spacious. Loved the outdoor fire pit, the full size living room & kitchen, WiFi, and cable tv! The cabins weren't that close to each other so you had plenty of privacy.
Cons: Not a fan of the staff giving a sheet of rules which one of them states that it's highly encouraged to leave the housekeeper a $10 tip per bedroom used. I certainly don't mind leaving them tips, but to actually write that out is a bit much especially since you also state that the guests are required to do their own dishes and take out the trash or they'll be charged a cleaning fee....not a fan of that either, especially since you recommending us to tip.
5.8 Okay
Pros: None provided
Cons: No a/c .

Pros: Proximity to events we were attending. Price.
Cons: Inside access, although the door wasn't locked, so almost anyone could get inside without any trouble.
