Pros: The room and bathroom were super clean. Staff super friendly. The bed was sooooo comfortable - the most comfortable on our week long Nepal trip! The heater very effective. Food in the restaurant was tasty. I absolutely loved the view from our room on the Himalaya mountain range.
Cons: Maybe installing a shower curtain could be considered, although it was not a problem for us.
Pros: Great place to stay in Dhulikhel. Spotlessly clean, good food, super comfortable bed and fantastic staff. The holiday home is located at the quiet end of Dhulikhel and it's a short walk into the main town. More than lived up to expectations.
Pros: This is a really nice place to stay, the food is excellent and the beds comfortable. The rooms we were in were cold so the manager moved us to warmer rooms.
Cons: Dinning room could have been a bit warmer
Pros: Panoramic view from hotel
Pros: Good location, nice view, great garden to enjoy all times, talented cook, it exceeds our expectations according to the pictures / reviews.
Pros: We spent a very nice stay at the Gaia Holiday Home ! The rooms were very comfortable and clean, the bathroom was large and clean as well. We liked having dinner there, we could meet very interesting people and had fun ! A very good address in Dhulikhel !! The staff was really nice and helpful, we thank them very much as we came at the last minute and they gave us the best rooms they had with heating.
Pros: Night time outside view from hotel.
Cons: Hotel rules...
Pros: Fantastic views Clean, modern room with comfortable bed & nice bathroom Helpful, friendly staff Would stay here again Would recommend
Pros: Great views of the Langtan range from the rooms balcony, the room itself was very comfortable, I stayed in the Everest room, the different rooms being named after Himalayan peaks (not all rooms have balconies) The property is situated on a road running out from Dhulikhel which has many other hotels and lodgings. The walk to the town centre takes around 15 mins, and a route up to the Kali viewpoint and shrine runs up off this road. The viewing tower itself has been closed since the 2015 earthquake. The staff are friendly and I took evening meals at the hotel as the restaurant is a pleasant place to eat and the food was very acceptable. One can dine inside or out. Reception arranged a taxi for me on checkout for my return to Kathmandu (1500 Rupees) I would have no problems staying at this hotel again.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
Pros: The location is great, out of hustle and in a quiet place. You can hear the sound of nature - good background for relaxation and get a fresh energy. Unfortunately, the visibility was not good so we did not see the skyline of Himalaya but I'm sure the view is amazing! The room was a good size, beautiful view, spotless. The breakfast very tasty with a good choice from the menu. The staff in the reception and in restaurant were kind, friendly and helpful. Good place to be if you want to escape the noise and crowdy streets of Kathmandu and do not want to spend a long hours on the journey.
Cons: everything was ok.
With a stay at The Dwarika's Resort in Dhulikhel, you'll be in the mountains and close to Budol View Tower. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a business center, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free valet parking is available onsite.
Pros: Exceptional resort
Cons: I'll sound picky but I'll just highlight something: wish the beautiful infinity pool was heated
Pros: amazing property - best in nepal
Cons: maybe a little too expensive
Pros: No word won’t match the peacefulness of this beautiful place We had an amazing time Amazing staff too Many activities and stunning quiet places all over the resort Our executive suite was breathtaking, especially the bathroom and terrace :) I already miss the place !
Cons: Nothing really
Pros: We were so impressed with the service and array of activities available at the resort, we couldn't have asked to stay anywhere better after a few days of trekking in Nepal. This place was like an oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Cons: Our driver found it difficult to find the resort, it could be useful to have clearer signs outside the resort gates.
Pros: I like locations and hotel decorations
Pros: Amazing hotel just about one hour drive from Kathmandu. We loved the beautifully decorated rooms and bathrooms. Staff were wonderful and both breakfast and dinner was really good. The hotel property is truly stunning and we did not want to leave.
Cons: There is not a lot of options for dinner but you can chose between a Nepalese, continental or Japanese (vegetarian) menu.
Pros: There are so many superlatives I could use to review this wonderful resort, but the real standout factor is the kind and considerate staff. The staff was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable-nothing was too much trouble. The food is simply amazing and we never grew tired of the Nepalese fare offered. Every night we enjoyed the fresh and tasty cuisine offered. We loved our cooking class-learning to make the local favorite—the Momo, was so much fun. Kudos to the chefs especially our cooking teacher. The rooms are fabulous with locally crafted soaps, luxury linens, beautifully appointed decor. If you can afford the splurge-go for a executive suite with a panoramic balcony with daybed. Just decadent. The spa was also amazing. We had the best massage of our lives—truly special spa staff and Ayurvedic doc. Treat yourself to a Ayurvedic massage-you won’t regret it. The grounds are lovely and there is so much to do. Spa, Yoga, meditation, sound bowl healings, cooking classes and so much more. We didn’t leave the resort for 5-days and could have stayed another week and been very happy. It’s truly a gem
Cons: Nothing except the gift shop could be restocked. We loved so much of the decor and were told that we could purchase much of it In the gift shop, however the selection at the shop was meager. Also, I wanted to purchase one of the wonderful bathrobes but was told they weren’t for sale. A bathrobe would have been a great memento from the our fabulous stay. In the future, the resort should offer their lovely robes for sale to guests.
Pros: Food,Staff,the resort.Everything was amazing.
Pros: activities, breakfast, dinner, staff and room.
Cons: klima noise :(
Pros: We liked everything about the resort. The bath area, the food, specially the staff are too professional..The infinity pool and hot tubs are too good.
Cons: Just that we expected something additional like live music or so for the Nepali new year eve celebration.
Tashidelek Guest Lodge & House is situated in Dhulikhel and features a garden. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, room service and a shared lounge, along with free WiFi. The accommodation features a tour desk, ticket service and currency exchange for guests. The area is popular for cycling, and bike hire and car hire are available at the guest house. Kathmandu is 31 km from Tashidelek Guest Lodge & House, while Nagarkot is 28 km from the property.
Pros: Prem is a star
Cons: Crazy storm killed the wifi!
Pros: Me and my friend had a lovely stay here! The location was absolutely beautiful and the staff was friendly and very helpful. They told us how we could get to Namo Buddha from there and I would reccomend spending a night here before heading up to Namo Buddha!
Pros: The location is very peaceful. From the balcony you have a great view of the sunset over the mountains. Fabulous view. The food was very nicely prepared by a lovely lady. You can go for nice trek to Namo Buddha from here.
Cons: The location would be more suitable if you had some company, it is rather far from Dhulikhel town. However, the owner said he could drop to bus station and pick up as well.
Pros: The staff was super helpful and nice. The breakfast was delicious and the view from the room was breathtaking.
Cons: The rooms were not so neat but it was OK
Pros: Gorgeous view from the room and the owner was extremely friendly and gave us lots of tips and suggestions.
Pros: Relaxing guest house in a pretty area. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He had lots of interesting stories about trekking. The food was tasty and filling. We felt very comfortable at this guest house. Lovely gardens and places to hike nearby.
Cons: A little far from the main village.
Pros: Great location, on a good day you can see the Himalayas just looking outside the window. great staff. It feels like a family. Food was amazing. Good place to relax and be outside the busy Katmandu.
Cons: Few days the hot shower and wifi did not work
Pros: The lodge was in a local village, nearby the town. Not touristy. You have good view, at same time you can follow the daily village life, wich I enjoyed very much! The host familie was super! I will ho back Tvete again sone time.
Pros: Great breakfast and location. The man who runs this hotel is charming and very nice and he goes out of his way to provide really great service. He built the hotel over a period of years and it is really well done. He is also active in the local school and in the rebuilding from the 2015 earthquake (the hotel only lost a water tower). You will be well taken care of here at Tashidelek. The location is excellent with a beautiful view of the Himalayan Mountains (weather permitting). This is a hotel in an area near Dhulkiel which appears to be building a number of small hotels for tourism and the location of this hotel is a small village. The food is excellent. I recommend against staying in Dhulkiel City and to stay in a small hotel like this away from Dhulkiel proper. There are good hikes near by and it is about a 30 minute hike (if you take the right roads - we did not) between Dhulkiel and this village and hotel. There is a beautiful look-out point from the top of the house as well as many vantage points nearby. There is a good moderately steep hike to the local Shiva Temple (which is a bit underwhelming but a nice spot) popular with local Hindus and young Nepali. There is also a very big Golden Buddha statue also on the trail between Dhulkiel and Tashidelek. The local people are very friendly. Recommended are sunrise and sunset views (weather permitting). In the village below the hotel is a local very nice man who makes the Nepali alcoholic drink rashki (like a rice wine but stronger - very cheap) (the houses in this little "mini enclave" have residents and families who are delightful and super nice. The local eateries are fun in the morning and to drink the milk tea. This little family run Hotel Tashidelek is a great deal for the price and delicious breakfast included. We stayed a couple of nights and ate dinner there both nights. Delicious. Wonderful experience all around. Highly recommended.
Cons: A better room heater would be recommended as it was quite cold at night. Most places in Nepal have no heat. Tashidelek does provide a small heater.
Pros: Great view and Prem our host is wonderful. We experienced viewing a Nepali family doing daily work while also relaxing and admiring the view across to the Himalayas. Close to Goldb Buddha and Kali statue. Definitely worth staying here a few nights.
Cons: I enjoyed the whole experience
Located in Dhulikhel, Dhulikhel Boutique Hotel is within a 15-minute drive of Dattatreya Temple and Dattatreya Square. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great home like atmosphere, friendly and professional staff, beautiful design of the hotel, very good quality food, hot shower, Very clean
Pros: Quiet, peaceful location, spacious room, helpful staff, nice breakfast, good value.
Cons: My ground floor room was a bit noisy one morning from reception just outside. No bedside lights or bedside switch for main lights - not a big deal though as I just used my torch to read by.
Cons: No free space
Pros: Dhulikhel Boutique Hotel is located few minutes from the Dhulikhel Old Town and, luckily, is not in the strict centre. This is why it is quiet and relaxing there. Most of the factors exceeded my expectations. Moreover, the contact with the hotel (before the travel) was very good and the hotel staff is helpful and friendly. I must admit that I did not expect such a good quality of food, too. Highly recommended place in Dhulikhel. Moreover, the city itself is definitely quieter and less polluted than Kathmandu and this is worth taking into account.
Pros: Location was nice. Food was well above average at their restaurant. Staff was extremely nice and accommodating!
Cons: We were put in rooms in a building 50m down the dirt road. It was not the same beautiful wooden building as they advertise in the photos. Not a deal breaker but I fee I should mention it. Our check in was also delayed by a good 45 minutes past the official time. Something about a cleaning crew mix up. It happens I guess.
Pros: The location is very close to old city and the bus station. From here you can reach very easily Panauti and Banepa. You can also trek to namobuddha. The staff was simply amazing. The food was delicious. Everything’s fresh cooked and price is good. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon.
Cons: The water in the shower was not always that hot
Pros: Very nice and super helpful staff. Food is great too!
Pros: It's a fantastic place to stay! Very friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfast with really good coffee, mountain view from our room und very nice architecture with lots of lovely details. Hot shower! It's a quiet place because it's not directly in the centre of Dhulikhel, but it's only a 5 minute walk to get in to the heart of Dhulikhel.
Cons: The bathroom was a bit smelly, but you can open the window and close the door, so the smell in the room was good. On booking map it showed me a different location, where the Mirabel Resort is. So first we didn't find it. But there are a lot of signs on the road, just look for them and they'll lead you to this beautiful building.
Pros: beautiful hotel, nice and friendly staff. Its location is very close to bus station.
Pros: everything is fine. Location location. tidy. Breakfast is delicious. The counter staff are warm and warm.

Pros: Great view.
Cons: Rooms had very limited space. Since only few guests were staying, the breakfast buffet was not available.
Pros: Overall service is impeccable! On top that, the owner took interest in seeing that guests were well looked after and the management followed up.
Pros: The view! Fantastic views of Mount Everest!
Cons: The restaurant food could have been better.
Pros: Stay was pleasant and the view was fantastic!
Cons: The carpark should have been made within the property
Pros: Huge room. Property is well maintained. Views. Newer heat/AC unit.
Cons: Location is difficult to rate, as it depends t what you're looking for. Beautiful views, but out of town and not convenient to local bus, taxi and restaurants. But the food is quite good, as is the service.
Pros: Really good hotel. Nice friendly staff. clean comfortable room.Good food.
Cons: It is not about hotel. Due to weather conditions we can not to see mountains .

Pros: The location was great. We had a beautiful view of the sunrise and sunset. The staff was very friendly. Run by a very nice family. The rooms were clean and nice with a shower and toilet.
Cons: It is quite a walk from the center of town but we were with 10 people and we arranged a bus in the town that brought us there and picked us up when we left.
Pros: Location is perfect. Good view of the Himalayan range during good weather and plenty of trekking routes that suits ones level of difficulty and comfort.
Cons: The neighborhood is becoming commercialized. There were several new construction in the area in just a matter of one year.
Pros: Good Mountain View
Pros: The food was home made and plentiful.
Cons: The room was cold because it was very windy and there was no electricity.
Pros: Healthy, well balanced, energy packed breakfast for hiking. Food on menu were tasty and well priced. We ordered Nepali veg. Thali set, Thukpa, Chowmin, Pakauda, and they all were delicious. Wifi was working well. 2.5 hour hike to Namobudha Monastery.
Cons: Noisy. Rumbling noise from flagpoles on the rooftop traveling throughout the building on a windy day & night. Loud karaoke going on after 10pm - didn't figure out whether the karaoke came within or from next door. A loud rooster at right next door crowing pretty much all night long and anytime else it is awake. Room facilities were weak for the price, $25 a night, in Nepal.
Pros: Large room, large western style bathroom with hot water shower, beautiful views over the valley with terraced gardens . An easy walk down to Dhulikhel village . One of the owners , Akash, was there when I arrived , explained the room , organized dinner around my schedule and introduced me to his family by giving me a smalll booklet describing how Battedanda started .
Cons: The only small thing is that , on a windy night , the flag poles of the Tibetan flags in the roof make a rattling noise which permeates through the building . When the winds die down it is so quiet and lovely to hear crickets and breath in the fresh air.
Pros: The staff is extremely friendly! Breakfast and dinner were delicious. The owner of the guesthouse is a very inspiring lady championing for female-empowerment. Be sure to ask for the story of the family!
Cons: Nothing! It’s all good.
Cons: I have been in this hotel on 11th August 2019 under the room category of ‘King Room with Mountain View with balcony’. To be honest, I had a horrific experience. It was very hot and not even ceiling or table fan was provided. You won’t be able to open windows due to mosquitos. I couldn’t sleep almost whole night. Balcony is too narrow. My room was also not prepared properly when I reach in the evening. If you go on rooftop then good sunset can be viewed. Food and complimentary breakfast are pretty ordinary. Though they call it home touch but I did not find any such!!.. truly disappointed and do not recommend at all.. ... .. Cheers… RK Goswami
Pros: Host family extremely friendly and helpful. Excellent view. Environment provides a taste of rural life.
Cons: Location is a bit outside of Dhulikel. Need to walk for 40 minutes or take a taxi to get there.
Pros: They were so kind!!!

Pros: Scenes from hotel
Pros: Hospitality and location
Pros: The view and its garden
Cons: They say warm water available for bath but was not there
Cons: Behaviour of staff the way they talked and about mis communication. I am actually very unsatisfied and will never go to this place again because the way the staff treats and try to dominate the customer its very unsatisfactory and poor behaviour.
Pros: View was awesome and the room service was also very cooperating and food were also good
Cons: I got little technical issue on my room the a/c was out of order
Pros: The garden is Nice With a beautiful view. Very close from the old town and the temples. The staff is very Nice and helpful.
Cons: Before we entered the room, the staff cleaned quickly the bathroom but it remains dirty (dead flies on the floor). We fond a cockroche in our room. The staff was too discret, even absent, when we needed something. We ask the staff to get an official taxi to go to khatmandu. Actually we got non professional driver (members of the hotel/family) that also planned to go to khatmandu and we paid the same prince. Finally, When we wanted to pay the room They added 10 dollars to the price of the room mentionned on booking.com
Pros: Staff, Management, Service and the View from hotel is great.
Pros: One of the best hotels in town. Well equipped and provides excellent service.
Cons: The wrong bill indicating prices included in the fee from initial booking, About 1500 Rs more that what was due. I will make a special complaint with copy of the bill. I paid only what was due. Very bad experience before leaving a very nice place that we enjoyed. Pity...
When you stay at Panauti Community Homestay in Panaoti, you'll be 13 minutes by car from Budol View Tower. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and ATM/banking services. A roundtrip airport shuttle is available for a surcharge.
Pros: Everything! Panauti is a great location and this organization is doing its best to provide the guest the best home staying experience. We stayed in the beautiful house of Ram and his wife. We had great lunch, dinner and breakfast together with some of the best foods that we tasted in Nepal. Ram is also a great guide and showed us around in a very friendly and interesting way. We will surely remember this great experience.
Pros: The community home stay is an amazing initiative ! I had a lovely time with Biju,Nirusha and Neepun, what a lovely family ! The house is lovely and the food is great ! I felt really welcome !
Cons: Nothing, everything was great !
Pros: House owner are nice. Food are good!
Cons: Stay with local is interesting experience but room need to be improved including toilet and bedding.
Pros: The community homestay organisation matched us up with a local family whose house was nearby. We stayed in a room that was as expected, and we ate all meals with the family, which were local food and delicious. The host mother spoke some English and offered to teach us cooking. The house was very clean, and the family was very calm and nice.
Pros: It was an interesting experience, live with local people, and I really love the idea of empower women, this initiative is a way of raising the nepali women income and status through tourism. It is the main reason I choosed Panauti Homestay... Our hosts were amazing, Biju her daughter Nirusha and little Neepun were really nice! We stayed in their home for 2 nights. Food cooked by Biju was indeed delicious, they teached us to make yomari ( made during a Newari festival that marks the end of the rice harvest), I was dressed up with a tipical newari dress, we spent some time with Nirusha walking around Panauti.
Cons: They have 15 homestays in Panauti and management gives to you the one available (ours is not on the pictures of booking.com). The bed were hard, but ok, it is a private house so don't complain about it. There wasn't a private bathroom or hot water (like they said on booking.com), and it was not that cleaned either...The pipe of the basin wasn't attached on the wall but insert in a bin always full and all the water was always out. We booked a Budget Double Room and I think US$88,40 for two nights is way too expensive, there are not the amenities written on the booking. All the meals are included but seriously they can improve with small adjustment. .
Pros: Excellent homestay - Biju and her lovely family made me feel so welcome and at home. I learned so much about local culture and way of life and the food was delicious! Highly recommended!
Pros: Nice hosts doing their best for you stay
Cons: Pretty expensive compared to other room and board in different locations.
Pros: I think will be very good If can improve the kitchen
