Room design, i love bathroom ^^ friendly staffs and good breakfast buffet
The service was second to none, the food was amazing, the hotel facillites were excellent. this hotel was an absolute dream !!, something you would see in a magazine The evening reception staff were not very helpful.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the architecture is inspiring and it has been designed so everyone can enjoy it in peace. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly and polite and couldn't do enough for us. Even though the hotel was full whilst we were there, it never felt overcrowded and there were always sun loungers available! The were many small touches which made the hotel for me and I would love to return.
I did not like the fact that to get to the lower pool or the beach you had to walk all the way out the front of the hotel and around the perimeter. I don't know why there aren't stairs connecting the upper pool to the lower pool/beach. Also, to get into Cha-Am you have to take a hotel tuk tuk and they charge you 100 baht for a trip that takes no longer that a couple of minutes! This should be a free service for a "5 star" hotel. Unbelievable.
Good facilities, good room, by and large friendly staff (see comments below, though), good breakfast. Very stressed and unfriendly book-in service. The location of the hotel means that no services outside hotel is available without using a Tuk-tuk.
Wonderful new hotel resort with 3 huge beautiful swimming pool with pool bars, 3 restaurants, beautiful sea view and spa. Stunning huge buffet breakfast with all sort of things you can ever imagine: Amercian, Thai, Japanese, etc. Staff always extremly obliging. You can enjoy spending entire days in the resort, but it's also very close to Hua Hin (only 20 minutes by taxi for about 500thb The gym in future has to be improved, it's small, poor of gym equipment, not at the same level of the hotel.
Nice and comfortable room, breakfast buffé was excellent with lots to choose from. The hotel has three incredible swimmingpools, which make up for the fact that there isn't really a beach. Nice and helpful staff. We had some difficulties to communicate with the hotel staff at some points, since their English wasn't the best. However, they were still very helpful and serviceminded. The hotel is quite isolated and it's a bit pricy to use their shuttle service to Hua Hin or Cha-am.
Being a family we really enjoyed the rooms with two levels and having daybeds in the room. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms great, with a nice tub and separate shower and the pool and beach were very nice. The location in Cha Am was a similar feel to Hua Hin 20 years ago before the boom of the 90's turned it into a crowded tourist town. It was strange that you could not move freely between different sections of the hotel without a key from that section but you could still get everywhere by going around on an outside path. Our party stayed in different sections so it was a slight annoyance but nothing major.
The room is so comfortable and spacious, and it close to the beach which a bit away from the public. I really like the beach chair in front of the beach provided by the hotel which is very private and the atmosphere is very nice. Firstly, the quality of the hot water is very poor. Its colour is brown no matter how long we drained it. After we drained the water, we found the stain on the bathtub. The hotel service came and fixed it many times, and finally its colour turned to be light brown. Additionally, the hotel has two separate zones which is a bit far between each other, and the high security made the travelling between these 2 zones very complicated, especially when we stay in the different zones.
Having the hotel to our selfs untill the week end when it was full of Thai's from Bankok but no problem Not having a free tut tut service into Cha Am which as a 5 star hotel a bit out of town I think should have not to have to pay 100 bart each time.
The room was clean and well presented with very comfortable bed. We had a room with patio doors to pool area which was nice. The pool was clean and ample places to sit. Breakfast was excellent quality and good variety. The hotel was virtually empty so difficult to give accurate overview of service as the staff were not under any pressure but any problems we had were sorted quickly and efficiently. For a hotel of this level the selection of TV channels was poor and there was no option for music via tv. Not a big thing. The gym is quite small but didn't have time to use it They charge for internet which I was surprised though it was something I did not needed to use.
Beautiful, luxery Expencive at resturants
We appreciated the pool @ residence zone and the hotel decoration (Thai-Modern). We also satisfied with Hotel services. Breakfast buffet is okay.
Friendly staff, nice pool, Breakfast was not good for this money
Non stop holiday !
Very quiet and picturesque. Having your own pool villa is a lovely way to relax but the resort also has a lovely pool to sit next to and is right on the beach. There did not seem to be a specific time or routine for coming to tidy up and clean the villa. Housekeeping came to make the bed but ignored plates, glasses etc from room service the night before up on the pool level. There was no way to let staff know when would be a good time to come in - i.e. a sign saying 'room service please!'
As this is a family-run resort, all staff are very friendly, felt like into a big family.
The staff was very helpful and nice. The design of the hotel was beautiful. It was close to a beach which was nice. The food was good and the menu was quite special and prices very reasonable. The shuttle to Huahin town was a big plus. We also appreciated the nice selection of DVD and free wifi. The pool villa lacked privacy because they were close together and ours looked right into the main building and could see other guests in their balconies (and vice versa). The breakfast could improve. The staff was generally excellent except for one or two who seemed to be not well trained. Someone rang our villa at 8am while we were sleeping to offer us orange juice. We were sleeping and it was a long way to the front gate to open the door and tell them we do not want orange juice!
Good spacious Room at Villas, villa pool, pool, nice Garden, Beach is not that nice, Moquitos, the price is hight but compared to the sapce you get is fair.Breakfast has little variaty for this price category. Waiter service a bit slow
Very quiet and privacy the blanket is too small and silk.
Relaxing break with friendly inobtrusive staff. Excellent location, quiet beach, well recommended Thai food. Well designed resort in a lovely natural garden setting. Ideal for a break from Bangkok.
Room view, comfy bed No gym, breakfast not up to 5stars standard
The hotel is small but luxury boutigue resort. The service is excellent, the stafff are willing to serve anything you desired.
The swimming poool is very good (10). The room is nice, but there is (almost) nowhere to hang your wet towels (8). The breakfast buffet is ok, but not spectacular (6). When we booked the room, we asked for a room with a king size bed. When we got there, they gave us a room with to separate beds. The hotel was full, so they could not give is the room that we wanted, even though we had asked for this when we made the booking.
It is cozy, natural and very comfortable. Staff are friendly and most helpful. I have already recommend it to family friends and will do so in future.
Quality of accommodation, in our view the best in Cha-am. Very good value for money. Location, proximity to beach and shops. Restaurant, good choice of food to suit local and international tastes. Good espresso coffee. Pool and gardens excellent. Inability to stay beyond two nights due to hotel being fully booked.
The location was excellent, rooms were modern and kept in good condition. The restaurant had a great decor with a very pleasant outlook. The menu was diverse and reasonably priced. The pool area was very clean with tropical gardens surrounds it was a highlight. the staff overall appeared happy and reasonably efficent. I would stay at this hotel again. I thought checking out was very complicated when staff had'nt given me payment receits during my extra time spent and up grades made. This lead to confusion at the end and delays in our departure while investigations were made, which were never resolved.
At breakfast the chef and staff welcoming and smiling real attention paid to guests; the quality of buffet was excellent, fresh fruit juice would have been a plus. Very nice swimming pool. Noise during the nights very disturbing. Due to my mistake in booking Nov 10-13, 2010 I only stayed 2 nights (Nov 11 and 12) and of course paid for 3 for "no show"; despite the fact I proved to reception that Nov 10 night I stayed in another hotel next door (reception called to check) and asked if my stay could be extended to Nov 14 instead and/or at same rate; it was not possible, the room rate offered was nearly double: not even upgrade suggested. I asked to meet with manager to find a solution but did not, so I left to Bangkok a day earlier with disatisfaction: I was not a happy 'customer'. Staff at reception don't have enough knowledge of English.
The staff was very friendly. The included breakfast buffet was good and plentiful. The pool was nice. The room was nice. They had free movies. It was wonderfully quiet. The staff went out of their way to help and be accommodating. We would stay here again. I thought that it might be on the beach, but there is actually a fairly busy road between the hotel and the beach.
Good breakfast. Nice pools with water slide which is fantastic for kids. Rooms are big. Staff are quite helpful. We had 2 connecting rooms, the air-con of one of the room did not work, they could not fix it, so gave us another room. Quite far from Hua Hin and beach, but still ok if you plan to just laze around, swim in the swimming pool and play golf
Bell boy service , spa packages yellow water of jacuzzi in my room
Nice, big room,service-very friendly, foods at the hotel rather cheep and delishes.free shuttle from hotel to Hua Hin(5 min by car). All were super. Beautiful garden!!Privite beach. Hotel is a smaller then I think, nothing to do at the hotel in the evening.
I liked the tranquility of the setting, the awareness of the staff but not in your face very helpful especailly the young guys at the pool area, always there to see your every needs, towels, menus, drinks etc...very very lovely and always smiling. No
The resort is beautiful with a tropical garden. We stayed in a suite and found it quite luxurious with a kingsize bed and a large bathroom which came with a outdoor shower. Breakfast was great and so was the restaurant. The pool is enormous and the resort is right at the beach with its own private beach under the palm trees. The resort is 6 km from the centre but there is a shuttle bus 2x / evening. The bed sheets were not changed regularly enough. Every room received daily a basket of fruit except us. The bathroom floor showed old and therefore a bit dirty. All the woodwork in the resort could use a new layer of paint. All these details considered, the hotel is only worth 4 stars.
below standard food, below standard spa, staff hardly spoke english, private villas had a prison-feel about them behind concrete walls. Only 1 expensive villa has a sea view
the villa. It is very nice and above what I expected. Due to the beautiful nature surrounding the villas, there are a lot of instects which made its way in the villas. My kids have been severely bitten by bugs.
for three days and two nights that i stayed at this hotel.everything that i done example go to have breakfast, have snack,go to library and go to swim i walk by myself for far distance the hotel have co-cart car but it used for convenience of the hotel staff it not used for service the guest even guest is a fat woman or kid.no greeting from hotel staff.and no information from the hotel that you have snack and drink served at 14:00-15:00pm. on the first day that i check in i don't know.i drive to the hua-hin market to take a cup of coffee on that time.and absolutely this hotel is very bad service.if you have time.please kindly observe putahraksa hotel all service is very good.thank you and i think this hotel is the first and last time for me. please kindly improve your service or go to observe putahraksa hotel how that hotel is the best one in my mind.

This is a really nice and luxurious hotel. Expensive, but you get value for money. Friendly staff, beautiful garden and a good atmosphere.
Great service. Fantastiv staff. Clean. Great location. Secure and spacious!nice rooms with awsome balcony. We go back next year!! The food and drinks were four times the prices in town wich is a bit silly. We had a baby and the lack of elevatir was very frustrating. However we were allowed to use the staff elevator wich was ok.
the resort is in an excellent location....wonderful staff as is the case in most Thai resorts. we changed the room because it was dark and a bit tired in some places...and were given a very nice bright and fresh room.
A beautiful hotel in every respect. Wonderful location, stunning grounds, excellent staff, food, service, room, nothing could be faulted. Nothing
The setting, the service, the luxury, the food. The size and quality of the bathroom towels were at odds with the rest of the luxury offered.
The graciousness of the staff at the hotel makes this one of Thailand's most relaxing destinations. The large surrounding grounds are magnificent, tended carefully for over 80 years. A low rise development, you are close to the beach and town. The rooms are very well appointed, roomy and air conditioned - and the balconies have great views. The resorts' Sala Thai and Japanese restaurants have great food at reasonable prices, although you can walk into town - 2 mins - to choose other places if you like. This is a fabulous resort and this was our 3rd stay there.
Loud Americans at breakfast!
Extremely friendly staff, the hotel was beautiful . Relaxed colonial style with stunning garden and grounds. We upgraded to Villa with club facilities which is particularly good value . Even without different room you can have club facility for extra 1500bhat which is good for snacks during day, afternoon tea and drinks.
The attention to detail of even the smallest matter was testiment to the excellent management and dedication of all staff. nothing.
Staff are fantastic.
Very clean and comfortable. Rooms were right next to pool. Staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. It was slightly too far from the main beach area however there is a free transport tuktuk for going in to the town or beach.
the sheer comfort and ambience of the hotel and the rooms
Quiet place, comfortable room, nice foods. The room I stayed was one without sea view, but was not bad at all. If you just want to stay relax on a bed near a pool with your favorite books and nice cocktails, it's perfectly fine. The staff were very kind to us (me and my parents) and always helpful. They provided a free tuktuk to the central bar area but you can also walk because it took just 15 min or so on foot. None.
Staff were perfect: very friendly, very proactive. Hotel is located on one of the lesser parts of the beach.
