Owner even called the Ranong pier to confirm our boat time for us and arranged a ride to the pier (500 baht).

Pros: Very friendly staff, awesome breakfast and really nice pool area. They pick you up for free at the pier and transferred our luggage to the next accommodation we booked. Really nice stay!!
Cons: There is nothing i can complain about concerning the resort itself.
Pros: The hotel was quiet and relaxing with all amenities on location. The restaurant served both western and Thai food; there was a mini mart that had basic needs; and the bar happy hour was good. My husband and I enjoyed the pool .Best breakfast we have had for a long time, freshly cooked eggs to perfection:)Out of the way, quiet beach. Helpful & friendly staff. Good to sit by the beach and do some work as well. Enjoy the stay very much - just wasn't long enough!
Pros: Excellent small resort straight on the beachfront. Imagine eating breakfast with views worth million dollars ;-).. The staff tried really hard, everone was very polite and helped you in everthing you asked for. Its just 100 meters frm the pier.
Cons: WIFI didnt reach all over the resort. But in most places. The breakfast was OK but no more. But the view made it up! The beach is nice but its more windy on this side of the island. This is not the hotels fault.
Pros: The view from the restaurant and sitting pretty much on the beach was amazing.
Cons: We stayed a week, but even though it was half empty there were no upgrades like some places. And the kitchen and cleaning staff was awesome but the check in and out had something to be desired .
Pros: the Location is near to the Beach, where we love to go!
Pros: Great staff and the double room with fan is wonderful. Swanky bathroom with a little garden in it.
Pros: Sea veiw is very nice The room is very clean.
Cons: The bed can't sleep well.
Pros: Reception was the best we founded in thailand. Always ready for every little or big problem! Excellent!!! :-)))

Pros: Good area around and food in restaurant was ok.
Cons: Cleaning was very bad. Cigarett butts on terrace dust hanging out from fan and spider web in shower. The windows was really dirty and not cleand for a long time. Lots of dog sleeping in the restaurant day time and barking and fighting nighttime and running around so you can not sleep. I wake up at least 4-5 time every night. And the motorbike rental was the worst i have experienced in my over 50 trips to Thailand. First motorbike the frontbreaks was totally expended and front tire i can see thru the rubber and in to the fabric inside. Second mororbike was little better. I had motorbike for less then 24 hour but she charge me for 2 days. Menu for restaurant had not price on all items and the beer was highly priced.
Pros: I had a bungalow at the waterfront
Pros: fantastic and beautiful!
Pros: You are located near to most things, the family is very nice, food is good and the boat directly stops there
Cons: Hard to put it into words, for me it just felt kinda weird. People staying here are quite distanced to each other which you will not find anywhere else on the island
Pros: We got an upgrade which resulted in a hut with sea view. Very nice. Only drawback: the sound of the aggregate. But the view was great!
Cons: Liked it a lot!
Pros: Super nice place! They have accommodations for every kind of budjet. Not directly at the beach but only few minutes walking to the sand. Good food, nice owners and you can also rent a motorbike. Nothing bad to say.
Pros: Nice and quiet. Location Good food Good staff
Cons: Seemed a bit clicky if you’re not German.
Pros: Nice and lazy place. Food, average, or less. To expensive for what you get.
Cons: Bungalows are very basic.

Activities in the surrounding area include hiking, canoeing, and surfing. Meals are served at the restaurant and cocktails can be enjoyed at the on-site bar.
Pros: Location and customer service
Pros: Tents may need updating, didn’t get to see the inside of beach huts
Cons: Would have like change of towels.
Pros: This is a very well maintained place with lovely staff and owner. The beach was cleaned every day, facilities were great, the on-site restaurant had great food a drinks. Definitely good value to money. Our stay was very relaxing.
Pros: Loved our stay! Very chilled vibe - great place to kick back and relax. Staff were super friendly and helpful and really look after you and the place. They take pride in ensuring that the communal areas and the beach are always clean and well looked after. Food and drink is great - nice selection and good quality. Could eat there every day if you wanted but we enjoyed trying new places from time to time. The staff go out of their way to help - for example, we needed some washing done for the next day, dropped it off at lunchtime and they had it washed and dry the same day :) fan in our room stopped working and it was replaced straight away. Thanks for a great stay Sabai Sabai! We hope to come back!
Cons: Location - we preferred the other side of the island but that was just a personal preference. It is however a handy location as it is within walking distance of the pier. Also? Bikes and mopeds were available for rent and we enjoy walking so it wasn’t a big issue. Can’t really fault anything else! Be prepared for a few creepy crawlies in your room! But that’s part of the experience!
Pros: They offered breakfast, lunch and dinner for purchase. They also offered yoga lessons and scooters for rent. Everything was easily up for grabs. The payment could be handled when checking out. Last but not least the staff was lovely.
Cons: Only one minus: it was really hot in a bungalow without air conditioning.
Pros: The owners really care about this beautiful place. Everyday they cleaned the beach and also the sand on the property. The atmosphere is welcoming and laid back and we spent some relaxing days there. The staff is incredibly nice and the food also delicious. Motorcycles can be rent but actually you can walk there from the pier in about 10 Min.
Pros: Friendly reception & good location ! Laid back & peaceful
Cons: No a/c or fridge in the bungalow
With a stay at Buffalo Bay Vacation Club in Ranong, you'll be on the beach, just a 1-minute walk from Aow Khao Kwai Beach and 13 minutes by foot from Hin Talu. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Clean, on beach, quiet , terrace
Cons: Cold showers , could do with a table.
Pros: Great Bungalow (Beach Front) Clean clean clean Comfortable bed Beautiful beach
Cons: High price for what you get Property prices high (bar and restaurant) No hot water No AC
Pros: Amazing location. Very quiet and peaceful. Probably the best area to stay on the island. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Too expensive for what you get. It should have included breakfast. Apparently it used to have AC in the room and a hot water heater in the bathroom. The former is disconnected and the latter has been removed. Not a serious problem because the room was so hot at night with just a fan that you wouldn’t want a warm shower anyway! Signs every where about conserve water and electricity and extra charges for everything that’s normally included. I felt like I was a kid with my dad telling us to turn the lights off all the time. I would gladly return to this island but I would chose another place.
Pros: Lovely beech location. Large room. Cleaned daily. Outside veranda. Has safe. Restaurant on site.
Cons: Generator noise for people towards back but then I suppose they have to get electric somehow. Cold shower. Broken bed. No air con remote but we didn’t complain so didn’t give chance to resolve. Just used fan.
Pros: Good food
Cons: Pricey - had to wait on management, never in office
Pros: The owner was very helpful as my partner and I got very sick and he made sure to help us.
When you stay at Goldkey Bungalow in Ranong, you'll be on the beach and steps from Ao Khao Kwai Beach. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great quiet location almost at the end of the island with a beautiful beach. Sitting in the restaurant you can enjoy a fantastic sunset views in the evenings. The restaurant offers absolutely delicious food including a variety of vegetarian meals which is not a common norm it this country. As a bonus you can observe lovely hornbirds sitting on the trees every morning.
Pros: Moskitonet, Distance to the neighbors huts
Cons: Basic wood bungalow with 2 breeding places for Moskitos in the bathroom (very busy). For 900B overpriced. The hut could be easily opened by unscrew 2 screws.
Pros: Great location, helpful personnel
Cons: Cleanliness in hut
Pros: Such an amazing place! You should try it!
Pros: The team is amaizing! Good spot.
Pros: The location at the beach
Cons: The hard matrasses and meals.
Located in Ranong, Chomjan Beach Resort is on the beach, a 4-minute walk from Ao Khao Kwai Beach and within a 5-minute drive of Aow Khao Kwai Beach. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities.
Pros: Everything perfect!! The staff and owner are very nice, the food and bungalow couldn't be better.. I enjoyed my stay very much!!
Pros: as allways it was a great experience to stay and eat in Chomjan all dishes are prepared with love and care. The friendly staff took great care of both me and my wife for the 14 days we just stayed there.
Pros: Splendid position

When you a stay at JJ Beach Resort in Ranong, you'll be on the beach, just steps from Ko Kham and Ao Yai Beach. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We stayed as a family with twins (1,5 years old) in the family Vila. Best room so far om the island as a family. the staff is absolutely lovely and great with the kids! They are super friendly and always ready to help with everything. We had a super nice stay, thanks!
Pros: It is very nice and friendly staff there and they care about guests needs. It was my second time in this place and I am suprised, how good they are all the time.I will come back every time I could visit Koh Phayam again!
Pros: Wonderful stuffs & nice foods especially BBQ.
Pros: Staffs are very helpful. Good food, Good place.
Pros: Friendliness of staff Location Excellent food
Pros: Good location
Cons: Completely over-prized. For the same money you get more value in other places. Also the Restaurant is quite expensive. Very unflexibel when it comes to changing a booking.
Pros: Seperb location clean not exspesive staff were brilliant Really enjoyed my time there.
Cons: Cold shower
Pros: central location at very nice beach, friendly, well trained and most helpful service people, daily bungalow cleaning, nice bungalows with rooftop terrace
Cons: bungalows much to close to eachother and to the main walkway, too noisy if people doint care about their neighbours, restaurant and beachfront ot the ressort offers no comfortable seating and relax options (not enough space) like the neighbour ressort. The kitchen of this ressort is also better.
Pros: Rooms were clean and spacious
Cons: Maybe the only thing I didn’t like is reception is right where everything is going on. In a more private, quiet area would be nice.
Pros: All the staff were really friendly and seemed very happy to be working there. Lady in charge of restaurant was outstanding in taking care of all customers - both those who had popped in for an excellent value Happy Hour cocktail and those, like us, who were staying for a few days. Beach restaurant was good value and often delicious, we came back for lunch the following week when we were based on the other side of the island.
Cons: Bungalow was a bit gloomy inside.
When you stay at The Sun Resort and Restaurant in Ranong, you'll be on the beach, just steps from Payam Pier and Ao Yai Beach. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice location. No waves at this side of the island. Beautiful sunsets. Food at restaurant is good. Great “granola” (and good other choices) breakfast. Closed cabins, screens in windows. No water heather in bathroom, but really not necessary. Not too cold and great flow. Friendly, helpful staff. Management speaks well English. If on this island again, no doubt I’ll come back here.
Cons: Hard beds as often in Thailand. Too thick pillows.
Pros: Food was amazing , the customer service was great . Always had towels and room floor cleaned every day . Staff was excellent . Nahm took good care of us . Would stay again definitely
Pros: Excellent location. Fantastic staff. Very good food.
Cons: Room was basic and a little dark but suited our needs (needed 4 beds in one room)
Pros: Great staff, they are so helpful and they do look for ur best interest. The girl in the reception is amazing in all ways! And the location is placed on the best beach on the whole island.
Cons: It's a bumby road to get there, but that's all over the island so.
Pros: Very friendly staff. Clean Rooms. Very good food. Nice Beach
When you a stay at Himmapan Resort in Ranong, you'll be near the beach, just steps from Ko Kham and Payam Pier. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
Pros: I had a lovely 5 night stay at Himmapan. The owner is super friendly and greeted me by my name everytime I saw him. The pool and surrounding area was very relaxing. Free coffee and waters. Towles in the room along with hangers for clothes. If you rent a motorbike, its in a perfect spot to explore the island.
Cons: I've slept in many beds here in Thailand and this bed was hard (like all are) but also very lumpy (felt every spring). The only other downside was that my loft bungalow was under a cashew tree that constantly dropped their large cashew apples on the roof which were very loud and woke me up throughout the night with a "bang". Nothing they can fix. Its a beautiful tree! But if you are a light sleeper, its not ideal.
Pros: The staff treats u like family, everything is clean and comfortable, it's the most centralized location, its THE perfect place to stay on the island
Cons: Nothing, it was perfect
Pros: The place and the rooms are very nice. The room is very big and the bed is comfortable. The staff is very kind and helpful. They lend us mask, google and fins for snorkeling. The situation in the middle of the island let you arrive quick to any point.
Cons: Everything was perfect until I ordered a coke at their new bar. They charged be 50baths for a singles glass, not even the full can of cocacola. Even in a Koh Lipe's resort they charged me 40bath for the whole can. I didn't ask for anything else during my stay.
Pros: Jay was a great host and made us feel very welcome. He helped us rent a scooter and organised a nice boat trip around the island for the guests for an affordable price.
Cons: There was no breakfast included and it seemed like a bit of a burden for them to prepare us one. Luckily there are nice breakfast restaurants closeby if you have a scooter. The location is also good if you have a scooter. Not ideal without one. The swimming pool looked dirty and was uninviting upon our arrival. Later in the week, the water looked cleaner but there’s room for improvement.
Cons: The entire place is run-down and dirty & the Thai who runs it -Jay- is incorrect & can‘t even issue a correct invoice. One doesn’t feel welcomed at all! Jay smiles at you but as soon as he turns around he talks bad behind your back. Absolutely disgusting, devious guy who treats women without respect. Furthermore he ignored my efforts to change the venue and made stupid sexist comments. The pool appears green it was blurry & full of insects. The breakfast is the worst on the island- don‘t even consider eating there! No other food offered than that & nothing nearby. You can‘t get anywhere without a bike - therefore it is not ideal for families at all. The owner is often away & his staff does not speak English at all so in the worst case you can’t even call a taxi. If something happens you’d be totally screwed. The bungalow is inconvenient: black from the outside- it is like an oven. Its tin roof is prob the worst-; one can hear animals crawling all night & I had spiders the size of my hand & a rat inside as well as other unpleasant visitors. The shower/bathroom has got no windows and is unhygienic & many animals live in this wet room. The light is insufficient. Be aware that you will wake up often due to the falling cashew nut fruit from the trees above the tin shack which sounds almost like falling coconuts! Most other resorts offer bamboo or wooden huts which I can wholeheartedly recommend. The bar opens only if the owner decides to run it for himself and his local friends who often play pool until late at night which I found very disturbing on my first evening after a long-distance flight. They were really drunk and made a lot of noise. Very unprofessional! Road works directly in front of the resort. Furthermore the owner was too lazy to organize anything really & upon departure he promised to have ordered a taxi to the pier. He simply forgot & that‘s his general attitude.
Pros: Jay is very friendly, the best host you can have. Himmapan is close to everything if you have a bike. Quiet and relaxing.
Pros: I stayed at Himmapan for almost 7 weeks. I enjoyed every minute of my time! The place is located in the middle of the island. Perfect location! When you are too lazy to take the scooter, you get to the beach within a short time. Otherwise just jump in the super nice pool! Close by there are three restaurants with very tasty food! Although the days were very hot, the rooms were chilly during the night because the beds are on second floor. I had to wear a longsleeve in the night! I had the closest room to the pool and bar. Even when there were people playing Pool Billard or drinking at the bar, it was very quiet. I never had problems with sleeping :) Last but not least I want to thank the owner Jay! He gave me the feeling of being home. He is a very gentle man, who always wanted the best for his guests. No matter which problem or question you had, he tried to help you. He was organizing fishing and boat tours with his own boat. When I lost my mobile phone, he called almost every person on the island to get it back. I highly recommend Himmapan!
Pros: We enjoyed our stay very much. JAY is a very friendly and helpful host. The loungearea with , bar, tabletennis, sofas and hammocks. Just a wonderful place to relaxe. The Villa is spacious and our bed was heavenly comfortabel. 100% recommended.
Pros: The whole area was really pretty and sleek in design. The pool area was perfect for chilling and the pool itself great! They also have a pool table and table tennis with chillout area. Jai the owner was lovely and helped us out with a map, recommendations and with taxi/motorbike rental. The rooms themselves are cool in design and we enjoyed our stay. Perfect location too, though motorbike rental neccessary but that's best anyway so can explore the whole island easily. Also free coffee/water refills all day.
Cons: You will see a few spiders, it is the jungle after all. I freaked out a little so wish there could have been better lighting in the bathroom just so I could check it easily, but even if you don't like spiders it's still a wonderful stay!!
Pros: There are everything you need enough. You don't need to asking for. The pool was very pretty and the good spot to explore the island. For a simple life is Perfect
Located right on the Beach in Khao Kwai Bay of Ko Phayam, Starlight Beach Resort features a restaurant and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Free private parking is available on site. Certain units have a seating area where you can relax. Some units include views of the sea or garden. The rooms are fitted with a private bathroom. There is ticket service at the property. The area is popular for snorkelling and diving.
Pros: The location, the food, the room and the staffs are wonderful. The best location for swimming on the island. The view especially sunset from the deck is magic. I spend most of my time on the deck chair. The food is very good too. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is big with separated shower section. Very nice designed resort and it makes me feel home away from home!
Cons: It is a bit far from the rest of the island and you need to have motorbike to get around
Pros: Great food and staff and great location on Buffalo Bay in Koh Phayam.
Pros: The location was great, the staff were lovely- Buffalo bay is beautiful and there are plenty of resorts with bars and restaurants nearby if you fancy a change of menu, the food at the resort was good though. We had a wonderful time.
Cons: The sun lounging area is too cramped which is odd as there is a lot of open ground between it and the restaurant/bar area.
Pros: super friendly welcome, courteous staff, delicious cuisine. the big o is highly recommended. and an always helping boss, thx Todd it was a pleasant stay
Pros: We like the services of staff, they're so kind and friendly with helping us everything. Also the resort atmosphere is so calm and quiet , suitable for holidays. :)
Pros: Location, the restaurant was fantastic, friendly staff and great beach for swimming. Lots of other restaurants nearby.
Cons: Although it's not a real problem , hot water in the shower would be nice as would a small fridge in the room. But having said that , it's always easy to grab a cold water or drink at the restaurant.
Pros: Beautiful place to stay on Koh Phayam. Todd and his team have made an excellent place with great food and drinks. The sundeck is a great place to sit and have a coffee in the morning. We were in bungalow 5 which was a really good size and had a good fan and mosquito net. Food on site is excellent, you can hire bikes and the beach is amazing. We were only there for 5 nights, stay longer than that.
Pros: The location of Starlight resort on the northern part of buffalo bay beach was great. The beach was barely impacted by the tides (In low tide you only had to walk a few meters extra vs a few hundred meters extra on the most southern part of the beach). In the mornings and afternoons there were hornbills, squirrels and small lizards roaming the garden. With a short walk towards monkey beach we could see 2 separate families of monkeys (not at monkey beach but on the way there so most people on their mopeds would have missed them) Todd, the owner offered morning stretching on sign up that was an excellent way to start the day. The restaurant served really amazing food with the possibility to eat on the sundeck enjoying the view of the bay.
Cons: On the negative side, considering food waste, could be the unnecessary huge portion in the restaurant,
Pros: - It is a really beautiful place, personal, quiet with a huge garden and direct beach access. -The little bungalows are basic, but very clean. -The food in the restaurant is very tasty. Breakfast, coffee, shakes...everything is fresh made and delicious. -Todd and his whole staff made our holiday really unique. They are very kind and helpful. Todd helped us to organise our transfer to the next destination, he arranged an oil massage and answered all our questions.
Cons: -There is a sun deck with nice chairs and beautiful view, but there is no fence to prevent little children from falling down. A secure barrier would be nice. -They only accept cash.
When you a stay at Ailay in Ranong, you'll be on the beach, just steps from Ko Kham and Hin Talu. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: if you are looking for wonderful view so here is anwser. here is quiet place good for leave your work behind 24 hrs reach to sea by 60 step from your bed but don't hope for air condition if you paid for 2250 bath
Cons: if found very dirty fans in my Hut so actually those shall cleaned before visitor come.
Pros: Room is near the beach.
Cons: Charge 5% for credit card payment, Water in bathroom can be use only sometime. If compare price with service i think blue sky resort must must better. And very fair price.
Pros: Beautiful view, suite is perfect. Service is good.
Cons: normal studio slightly out dated.
Pros: Nice view to beach n ocean
Cons: Price too high for what you get Barking n following dog Loud music from the neighbor bar Dangerous deep sandy way for scouter to the resort
Pros: Location being right on the beach, you can lie down on the bed and see the sea, comfortable bed and pillows, friendly staff. Our room has no air conditioning but only fans. Fortunately it is cooler at late night. But in the heat of the summer, should choose a room with air conditioning, which are being built.
Cons: Room was a bit too simple for the price you pay, water in the bathroom is very soft, loud music from restaurant and bar nearby. Don’t stay on the room next to these establishments or you will hear music until late at night.
Pros: Nice location, nice beach
Cons: Unfriendly general manageress, poor wifi, practically no wardrobe to store your clothes, poor breakfast
Pros: The staff and management were very helpful and helped with everything. The location was perfect for relaxing and having a good time.
Cons: Ailay Resort was far from the dock, but not that bad to travel by motorcycle, but once you arrived you will realize it was worth the travel! People need to know there are no ATM's on the island.
Pros: The location is dope.
Cons: The entrance and the noise and lousy music from Rasta bar.
Pros: Clean and basic bungalows at the beach. AC is must!
Cons: Wifi could be more powerfull.
Pros: Face to sea. In front of the beach. We can walk to sea directly.
Cons: If there are more choices of food ，it will be better.
When you a stay at La Ong Lay in Ranong, you'll be on the beach, just steps from Ko Kham and Hin Talu. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. Guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle for a surcharge, and free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Really chilled place - great staff - unbelievably good food
Cons: I got bitten a lot by sand flies here at the top of the beach. I didn't get bitten at a resort further down the beach. Not their fault obviously, but something to be aware of in this location.
Pros: Right next to the beach
Pros: The best and most beautiful beach with white pouder send. La Ong Lay bungalows have the best location, right on the send. Others are covered by trees or restaurants. Do not miss the restaurant. Although, you can find cheaper places, the quality is good here. Anyhow, there are lots of places to eat good foods on the island.
Cons: That we had to leave this paradice. Room could be a littlebit bigger. The sea is dark grey, we choosed a better beach to swim.
Cons: This hotel is completely overpriced with dark and dusty bungalows that give you à strong feeling of sadness. At last, the owner charges you 5% of extra commission if you pay by credit card (instead of 3%)
Pros: Resort is located at the end of long beach. Very quiet and relaxing.
Cons: WIFI, very poor and only available at the restaurant.
Pros: Paid commission for 3rd night to Hotel direct and left 1 night earlier than planned to find other accommodation more in keeping with our requirement. At this price would have expected better from the accommodation
Cons: No A/C thats okay but fan was totally inadequate. had to sleep both nights with the doors open even so there was very little air flow around room. Allocated one of the worst 2 beach front villas. Choices were between incredibly tiny hot bungalow or slightly bigger one right next the dorm rooms. Noise from guests staying there drove us to leave 1 night early
Pros: Hotel is in a very nice beach!
Cons: Staff has been stroppy in different occasions.
Set in Koh Chang Ranong, Rattana Bungalow Koh Chang offers a restaurant. The guest house has family rooms. All guest rooms at the guest house come with a seating area. Featuring a private bathroom, rooms at Rattana Bungalow Koh Chang also have a garden view. Ko Phayam is 4.3 km from the accommodation, while Ranong is 20 km from the property. The nearest airport is Ranong Airport, 14 km from Rattana Bungalow Koh Chang.
Pros: Beautifully placed bungalows with beaches in walking distance. Kind owners. Tasty dishes at the restaurant. The entire grounds looked very well managed, flora and fauna everywhere (feels like your staying in the jungle, with hornbills and other birds, so many butterflies, small and large geckos, etc)
Cons: Our bungalow was very noisy (bamboo scraping along the roof plating) and could have been cleaner, but the latter is a genaral remark for all places on Koh Chang. No WiFi and hardly any reception (which is a bless in a way, but we needed it for personal reasons).
Pros: The food was very good. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Atmosphere was relaxed.
Cons: Insects in the rooms. Beach was rocky. Location is quite remote.
Pros: Beautiful setting on a lovely island, the room was functional and great value for money, everyone was really laid back and the owner Pet was lovely. Food was delicious they couldn't of been more helpful and it is so relaxing and quiet there and the view is gorgeous.
Pros: The owners were wonderful, helpful, friendly and always welcoming. The 8 bungalows are nicely spaced across the property so each one has its own privacy and you're not sitting on top of other guests. The meals are very tasty and large servings and the price very reasonable. We stayed 4 days and wanted to stay another 4 but they were fully booked so we moved to another small resort nearby, not so nice but ok. When I return, I will definitely stay here again.
Cons: That we couldn't stay longer.
Pros: This place is like paradise. Amazing dinner, Barracuda with spicy sauce!
Pros: Great, remote location offering a stunning view over the ocean. Staff is nice and helpful, food is tasty and comes for a reasonable price. Absolutely quiet and peaceful.
Cons: Nothing to complain about.
Pros: We really had a great time here. Super nice hosts. Just few minutes by walk to the beach and they provided a kayak for guests.
Cons: The road would be tough for who ride motorbike.
When you stay at Coffee and Resort in Ranong, you'll be near the beach and within a 5-minute drive of Payam Pier. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Charming bamboo bungalows, clean and simple, the owner and his wife are very nice and helpful as well, coffee and food also good :)
Cons: Everything was perfect
Pros: Bamboo bungalows, good coffee, staff.
Pros: Location, staff, and food was fantastic.
Cons: Bed was extremely hard and room was very small
Pros: Lin and his family are great hosts, very friendly and helpful!
Pros: Very kind staff. Good bar and breakfast.
Cons: Maybe little middle of nowhere.
Pros: Awesome location, nice bamboo hut, great atmosphere! Koh Phayam is a wonderful island, Coffee and Resort is a small, quiet and friendly place to stay.
Cons: The resort is located in a quiet and green environment. Unfortunately from 8 AM to 10 PM there's loud music in the bar: why not enjoy nature sounds?
Pros: The resort is comfortable and quite. We enjoyed sitting at the garden and reading a book while sipping great coffee. Staff are nice and very helpful. It was the new year eve that they helped us to get motorcycles, almost all of which on the island were booked. Moreover, they suggested places and time to visit to get a fantastic moment like sunset at Ao Yai. It was very kind of them to offer us snorkels and life vests to do snorkeling at Ao Kwang Peep. We had a good time here. Note: if anyone plan to come here during a long public holiday, you may try asking staff to book a motorcycle in advance. But no guarantee.
Cons: Nothing for the resort. However, in general, mosquitos on the island are aggressive. Traveling on this island requires riding a motorcycle.
Mama's bungalows Koh Chang, a resort, is a property situated in Ko Chang, facing the sea. This resort offers on-site dining featuring Thai and western dishes. Koh Payam is 11 km from the property. All rooms have a private bathroom with a shower, while some rooms have sea views. An American breakfast can be enjoyed in the breakfast area.
Pros: The very romantic, peaceful and very quiet location! Beautiful garden, nice bungalows with different price levels! Very friendly, helpful, warmhearted owners and staff, well speaking english! Fantastic food of different varieties, fresh sea- and thaifood, also western food available! Amazing sunset view from the teracce also full moon is magic there! Recommand Mammas Bungalows in all my social networks!
Cons: ----nothing to complain---fair price for what you booked for!
Pros: Perfect place to stay. Very nice people, beautiful beach. Best kitchen I know in Thailand I come to Thailand since 18 years already! Good price Clean and healthy food.
Pros: Soi and her team are great hosts, the bungalows are directed perfect and food is great.
Cons: One has to know that there is only electricity for some evening-hours on Koh Chang, at Mamas you only have light, but no socket in the room (you can charge phone,... at the restaurant)
Pros: Perfect location. Absolutely stressless with viewing the tide go in and out. Basic room with a friendly almost familiy atmosphere. Lovely food and a wonderfull staff. We enjoyed lovely walks and exploring the island. Mama’s Bungalow is highly recommenable if you want peace in mind.
Cons: I’ ve never been fond of cold showers, but it was fine because the weather was so hot.
Pros: Good, well-constructed, and thought out bungalow, with adequate shelves, hooks etc. Comfortable enough beds and okay mosquito nets. Lovely balcony with hammock and reclining pillows overlooking the sea. Friendly owner and staff, relaxed but efficient service all through the day. Food served varied from average to very good, mostly very tasty. Prices are comparable or even a bit cheaper than other places on the island. A bit more expensive than on the mainland obviously, but fair enough. Nicely located at the Southern end of Ao Tadaeng bay. Just a five-minute walk through the forest to the main beach of the island, but this bay with three bungalow operations is even quieter and more secluded. It has a nice dark-sand beach, good for swimming, though not really for snorkeling. Beautiful sunsets. Easy access to trekking path south to the ranger station, and from there across the island to the east side.
Cons: Bathroom kind of smelly. Has around 15 bungalows already, so getting a bit large and busy. Guests are mainly middle-aged and older German and French people - maybe a pro or con depending on your preference :). Could improve cooking standards - saw the cook cough straight onto the food she was preparing twice, with no attempt to cover her face or look away.
Pros: Food, staff (a friendly Family from Burma) and the wonderful beach. Best beach on Koh Chang. You will love Mama.
Cons: A bit too many Germans sometimes... But that's not really the fault of the accommodation.
Pros: Friendly atmosphere; a lot of relaxed folks. Good place to kick back and read
Cons: There's almost exclusively german boomers there.
When you a stay at Frog Beach House in Ranong, you'll be on the beach, just steps from Ko Kham and Payam Pier. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and a library.
Pros: Superior bungalow new and clean. Towels and sheets changed daily. Peaceful place on the best beach in Koh Phayam.
Cons: Really sleepy and bit chilly atmosphere. Nothing was happening. No AC. Maybe 45€ too much per night.
Pros: Very quiet and pleasant place away from all the hustle and bustle. Extremly helpful hosts and delicous cuisine. We will come again.
Pros: Location is great in the beach, All the staff very welcoming. Nice food too
Pros: Clean,kind staff,nice position.
Pros: Nice relaxed vibe
Cons: Breakfast was fine but small.
Pros: Nice bungalow with a shower in the open air. Well it had walls around it so it was private. Bed was comfortable and they made up the room daily. Friendly staff.
Cons: If you cant handle a cold shower. I didnt mind.
Pros: The property is located on the beach and has easy access onto the main road where the main shops/ restaurant’s are located. The beach itself is clean and one of the most beautiful beaches we have been on! The hotel offers a range of food throughout the day and although we only ate breakfast i cannot recommend the bacon and eggs enough! They also offer an onsite launderette, we had our clothes back the next day The room itself was immaculate and was cleaned on a daily basis and were given clean towels. The bed was really comfortable and the shower had hot water, we also had AC, a fridge and a fan- we stayed in the deluxe bungalow The hotel is a family run business and the staff were always happy to help and we were always greeted with a smile. We felt at home at our time at frog beach house and would recommend this place to couples, families and solo travellers
Cons: We wasn’t there long enough!
Pros: lovely wooden bungalows, with open bathroom/balcony, ventilator, big double bed in a well-kept resort area. Little table, wardrobe, seats and table on the balcony. LOVED the open bathroom with openair-shower!! VERY friendly staff, daily cleaning and fresh towels. Good food is served at the restaurant between reception and beach (with silky white sand... gives you the perfect holiday feeling!)
Cons: as I prefer to drink a lot of tea during the day, I missed an own water boiler in my room (but it was stated in the description, so I bought hot water at the resort restaurant... no problem) no mosquito-net for the bed (but brought my own one, so... no problem) The raggaebar in the neighbour-resort played every 2 or 3 evenings live music/disco (but I was tired enough to sleep anyway, so... no problem)
