Pros: Loved the location 25k north of Chiang Mai. I didn't have transport but that was no problem. I was collected and dropped to the airport for a small charge. The owner, P Tong took me on 2 delightful day trips and I got to see the Botanical Gardens up the road, to the top of Moentchem, the stunning Wat of Den Sali and the Rose Gardens of the Bupthing Palace. There are but 4 rooms and a bunk room. Mine was spectacular with view over the ravine to the mountains. Two double rooms on the top share 2 lounges, 2 toilets, shower room and an outside terrace. My bedroom had a small but perfect balcony to listen to the river below and the bullfrogs. Breakfast is a casual affair under the trees on the terrace. During the day the charming Do runs the cafe and food is available. It would be easier with transport. The Mae waterfalls are within walking distance. I should imagine its beautiful and lush in the rainy season. One of the few places I will return to, having left a bit of my heart there. Such kindness and courtesy and generosity of spirit. A family with 2 older children would relish the top suite. There is a rather slippery spiral staircase to negotiate in the night so not for everyone!
Cons: Leaving! It was such a happy stay. Nothing else. Maybe the slippery spiral staircase in the night !!
