I did not like the fact that to get to the lower pool or the beach you had to walk all the way out the front of the hotel and around the perimeter. I don't know why there aren't stairs connecting the upper pool to the lower pool/beach. Also, to get into Cha-Am you have to take a hotel tuk tuk and they charge you 100 baht for a trip that takes no longer that a couple of minutes! This should be a free service for a "5 star" hotel. Unbelievable.
We appreciated the pool @ residence zone and the hotel decoration (Thai-Modern). We also satisfied with Hotel services. Breakfast buffet is okay.
Beautiful, luxery Expencive at resturants
The room is so comfortable and spacious, and it close to the beach which a bit away from the public. I really like the beach chair in front of the beach provided by the hotel which is very private and the atmosphere is very nice. Firstly, the quality of the hot water is very poor. Its colour is brown no matter how long we drained it. After we drained the water, we found the stain on the bathtub. The hotel service came and fixed it many times, and finally its colour turned to be light brown. Additionally, the hotel has two separate zones which is a bit far between each other, and the high security made the travelling between these 2 zones very complicated, especially when we stay in the different zones.
Nice and comfortable room, breakfast buffé was excellent with lots to choose from. The hotel has three incredible swimmingpools, which make up for the fact that there isn't really a beach. Nice and helpful staff. We had some difficulties to communicate with the hotel staff at some points, since their English wasn't the best. However, they were still very helpful and serviceminded. The hotel is quite isolated and it's a bit pricy to use their shuttle service to Hua Hin or Cha-am.
Wonderful new hotel resort with 3 huge beautiful swimming pool with pool bars, 3 restaurants, beautiful sea view and spa. Stunning huge buffet breakfast with all sort of things you can ever imagine: Amercian, Thai, Japanese, etc. Staff always extremly obliging. You can enjoy spending entire days in the resort, but it's also very close to Hua Hin (only 20 minutes by taxi for about 500thb The gym in future has to be improved, it's small, poor of gym equipment, not at the same level of the hotel.
The room was clean and well presented with very comfortable bed. We had a room with patio doors to pool area which was nice. The pool was clean and ample places to sit. Breakfast was excellent quality and good variety. The hotel was virtually empty so difficult to give accurate overview of service as the staff were not under any pressure but any problems we had were sorted quickly and efficiently. For a hotel of this level the selection of TV channels was poor and there was no option for music via tv. Not a big thing. The gym is quite small but didn't have time to use it They charge for internet which I was surprised though it was something I did not needed to use.
Being a family we really enjoyed the rooms with two levels and having daybeds in the room. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms great, with a nice tub and separate shower and the pool and beach were very nice. The location in Cha Am was a similar feel to Hua Hin 20 years ago before the boom of the 90's turned it into a crowded tourist town. It was strange that you could not move freely between different sections of the hotel without a key from that section but you could still get everywhere by going around on an outside path. Our party stayed in different sections so it was a slight annoyance but nothing major.
Good facilities, good room, by and large friendly staff (see comments below, though), good breakfast. Very stressed and unfriendly book-in service. The location of the hotel means that no services outside hotel is available without using a Tuk-tuk.
Having the hotel to our selfs untill the week end when it was full of Thai's from Bankok but no problem Not having a free tut tut service into Cha Am which as a 5 star hotel a bit out of town I think should have not to have to pay 100 bart each time.
The service was second to none, the food was amazing, the hotel facillites were excellent. this hotel was an absolute dream !!, something you would see in a magazine The evening reception staff were not very helpful.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the architecture is inspiring and it has been designed so everyone can enjoy it in peace. The service was excellent, the staff were friendly and polite and couldn't do enough for us. Even though the hotel was full whilst we were there, it never felt overcrowded and there were always sun loungers available! The were many small touches which made the hotel for me and I would love to return.
Room design, i love bathroom ^^ friendly staffs and good breakfast buffet
The staff was very friendly. The included breakfast buffet was good and plentiful. The pool was nice. The room was nice. They had free movies. It was wonderfully quiet. The staff went out of their way to help and be accommodating. We would stay here again. I thought that it might be on the beach, but there is actually a fairly busy road between the hotel and the beach.
Quality of accommodation, in our view the best in Cha-am. Very good value for money. Location, proximity to beach and shops. Restaurant, good choice of food to suit local and international tastes. Good espresso coffee. Pool and gardens excellent. Inability to stay beyond two nights due to hotel being fully booked.
It is cozy, natural and very comfortable. Staff are friendly and most helpful. I have already recommend it to family friends and will do so in future.
The swimming poool is very good (10). The room is nice, but there is (almost) nowhere to hang your wet towels (8). The breakfast buffet is ok, but not spectacular (6). When we booked the room, we asked for a room with a king size bed. When we got there, they gave us a room with to separate beds. The hotel was full, so they could not give is the room that we wanted, even though we had asked for this when we made the booking.
The location was excellent, rooms were modern and kept in good condition. The restaurant had a great decor with a very pleasant outlook. The menu was diverse and reasonably priced. The pool area was very clean with tropical gardens surrounds it was a highlight. the staff overall appeared happy and reasonably efficent. I would stay at this hotel again. I thought checking out was very complicated when staff had'nt given me payment receits during my extra time spent and up grades made. This lead to confusion at the end and delays in our departure while investigations were made, which were never resolved.
At breakfast the chef and staff welcoming and smiling real attention paid to guests; the quality of buffet was excellent, fresh fruit juice would have been a plus. Very nice swimming pool. Noise during the nights very disturbing. Due to my mistake in booking Nov 10-13, 2010 I only stayed 2 nights (Nov 11 and 12) and of course paid for 3 for "no show"; despite the fact I proved to reception that Nov 10 night I stayed in another hotel next door (reception called to check) and asked if my stay could be extended to Nov 14 instead and/or at same rate; it was not possible, the room rate offered was nearly double: not even upgrade suggested. I asked to meet with manager to find a solution but did not, so I left to Bangkok a day earlier with disatisfaction: I was not a happy 'customer'. Staff at reception don't have enough knowledge of English.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Infinity pool is a nice feature. When asked, the staff were very helpful. I didn't find the breakfast to be up to the standard of the price. The rooms should have had full toiletries in them but I had to ask for toothpaste. No razor, none of the regular items we find at the Hyatt. Although the rooms are better in the Veranda, the Hyatt seems to have more character. The staff need to make the place more fun.
I loved the ambiance, the cleanliness, the feel of the hotel. Very efficient and convenient. They sent a driver to get us from airport and he drove well. Restaurant service and breakfast was excellent and all staff were lovely with my 2 and a half year old son. The pool was shaded and lovely. The beach is nice. It didn't seem crowded. There are no girlie bars close which I liked. All in all we loved it and will be going back in October. We had some misunderstanding when checking out. They didn't understand the booking.com form inclusive of price was actually the added up version of what they were telling me to pay. For an hour they were asking for 9000 more TBaht so that was a hassle having to go through all that at the end of the holiday. Without sounding too 'ex pat brat', really it boiled down to the fact that the reception should perhaps have a better command of English so that this wouldn't happen.
the breakfast, it including some of the European food in which you won't find in the same class hotel. too many kids, too noise, you can't find a quiet place in pool side.
This hotel is a great hotel the rooms are of a very high standard.
Bell boy service , spa packages yellow water of jacuzzi in my room
Good breakfast. Nice pools with water slide which is fantastic for kids. Rooms are big. Staff are quite helpful. We had 2 connecting rooms, the air-con of one of the room did not work, they could not fix it, so gave us another room. Quite far from Hua Hin and beach, but still ok if you plan to just laze around, swim in the swimming pool and play golf
The staff was very helpful and nice. The design of the hotel was beautiful. It was close to a beach which was nice. The food was good and the menu was quite special and prices very reasonable. The shuttle to Huahin town was a big plus. We also appreciated the nice selection of DVD and free wifi. The pool villa lacked privacy because they were close together and ours looked right into the main building and could see other guests in their balconies (and vice versa). The breakfast could improve. The staff was generally excellent except for one or two who seemed to be not well trained. Someone rang our villa at 8am while we were sleeping to offer us orange juice. We were sleeping and it was a long way to the front gate to open the door and tell them we do not want orange juice!
Very quiet and privacy the blanket is too small and silk.
Friendly staff, nice pool, Breakfast was not good for this money
Room view, comfy bed No gym, breakfast not up to 5stars standard
Very quiet and picturesque. Having your own pool villa is a lovely way to relax but the resort also has a lovely pool to sit next to and is right on the beach. There did not seem to be a specific time or routine for coming to tidy up and clean the villa. Housekeeping came to make the bed but ignored plates, glasses etc from room service the night before up on the pool level. There was no way to let staff know when would be a good time to come in - i.e. a sign saying 'room service please!'
As this is a family-run resort, all staff are very friendly, felt like into a big family.
Relaxing break with friendly inobtrusive staff. Excellent location, quiet beach, well recommended Thai food. Well designed resort in a lovely natural garden setting. Ideal for a break from Bangkok.
Non stop holiday !
Good spacious Room at Villas, villa pool, pool, nice Garden, Beach is not that nice, Moquitos, the price is hight but compared to the sapce you get is fair.Breakfast has little variaty for this price category. Waiter service a bit slow
The hotel is small but luxury boutigue resort. The service is excellent, the stafff are willing to serve anything you desired.
