Pros: Second time there. Friendly staff, rooms spotless, food lovely and beautiful surroundings
Pros: Large garden, hammocks, dinner, friendly staff
Cons: The dogs kept coming too closeby
Pros: We spent 6 nights at Areeya Resort. Had we known how much we would enjoy being there and how much there was to see in the area we would have planned to stay longer. Areeya and Ernst have created a little slice of paradise in this rural part of Thailand with tropical butterflies and birds abounding in the beautiful gardens surrounding the comfortable bungalows. With caves, temples and reservoirs to explore and the amazing Pang Sida National Park minutes away (check it out!) it more than fulfilled all our expectations. As a bonus there is Areeya’s not to be missed cooking. We are looking forward to our return. They are a delightful couple speaking fluent Thai and English and they can advise and organise trips and lifts. This place is truly exceptional.
Pros: Lovely couple who help you with everything you need: they arranged a scooter for us and a park ranger to visit Pang Sida National Park. At night, you can enjoy the sunset in the back of the garden. They have tables where you can enjoy dinner together with other tourists, but you can have some alone time at your house as well.
Pros: The owner is too kind for us, both of them I’ll be there again soon ^^ There are also the two dogs named Mee and Panda They are also too kind.
Pros: After spending weeks in busy cities in SE Asia, we decided to travel off the beaten path and enjoy rural Thailand. The Areeya Resort was just what we were looking for and very inexpensive! We were able to get there fairly easily from Siem Riep, Cambodia, by bus and a couple of taxis/Grab. The resort is peaceful and consists of approximately 10 individual bungalows, surrounded by all kinds of greenery and flowering plants. Areeya and Ernst are wonderful hosts - we so enjoyed talking with them. Our breakfasts/dinners were all delicious - prepared by Areeya and very reasonably-priced. Our bungalow was simple, but very clean, and had a balcony porch where we enjoyed our coffee each morning. Also, our room was cleaned every day! We walked along paths in the field next door and came upon several water buffalo. One day, we rented their motor scooter and visited nearby Pang Sida National Park. In the rainy season, it hosts over 400 species of butterflies as well as some lovely waterfalls. We traveled there in the dry season but still enjoyed our hike and information in the visitor center. Another day, we used Areeya's bicycles and visited a reservoir about 3km away. Such a lovely peaceful place! We spent hours reading by water, then talked with locals in a park area on the other side of the water, where families were gathered renting paddleboats and enjoying picnic meals. Along the way to the reservoir, we stumbled upon a monastery and chatted with the monks.
Pros: I love the kindness of the owner and the peaceful natural place where it is situated. He helps you with any doubt you have. You can borrow a bike at any time, which is wonderful to explore the surroundings.
Pros: Lovely people in a very nice area. The resort is beautiful with ponds and hammocks around the place. The room was great with a/c and an outside patio where are ya is happy to serve great breakfasts and dinners. Plenty to do around. Easily reachable from sa keao for 400baht taxi ride
Pros: Great place, lovely owners, delicious food.
Cons: Nothing, niets, nada, rien, nichts
Pros: Wonderful hosts. Large and quiet garden. Lovely terraces
