Pros: The personnel was very friendly and we loved the food at the restaurant as well! Also, a very nice breakfast!
Cons: Nothing we didn't like.
Pros: Dinner was exquisite and excellent value for money. Breakfast also excellent.
Cons: Nothing, although location a little off the 'beaten track'!
Pros: The establishment has seen some improvements regarding the decoration as well as new fittings in the bathroom
Cons: what we missed was the pleasant attitude of the previous owner who was very devoted to her guests. The expensive restaurant will not replace the previous conviviality as well as the sophistication enjoyed some time ago.
Pros: Better than expected. Restaurant was exceptional.
Cons: No bar or hospitality on Sunday and Monday!
Pros: It was in a great location in the Alsace region which was beautiful this time of year (mid October) . The hotel was easy to find, extremely good value, very clean and easy to park. The dinner in the evening was superb, and the hosts went out their way to make sure you had a memorable dining experience. Also the hotel dining room was decorated with fascinating ornaments and sculptures plus there were some great paintings on the walls which you could buy.
Cons: Nothing to comment on
Pros: Really great place in the heart of the Vosges mountains. Everything was fine. Very friendly check in. And you have to try the food. It is really amazing!

Pros: Close to motorway.
Cons: It’s is looking very old and in need of a refurbishment. Cracked mirror, broken toilet door handle, just very tired looking.
Pros: The area, cheap price and free parking.
Cons: Shared toilets and shower. Noisy neighbours.
Pros: Nothing - I can see why Formula 1 was picked as the hotel name - it’s the pits!!
Pros: Die Location was good for us . Because we wanted to drive to Luxembourg, Strasbourg and Swiss
Cons: Toilettes and baths were not clean. Women and men should use different. Because most of men don’t keep the toilette clean .

Pros: Hard to say,not much!
Cons: No car park, parking on the road outside.
Pros: I liked the location of the hotel and the existence of a public parking area just opposite of the hotel by the river.
Cons: The rooms were not clean enough. We stayed there with my sister’s husband and child in two seperate rooms. There were inunderstandable, small black spots, particles on the sheets and bedlinens even though they seemed to be ironed and clean in both rooms, the floors were not mopped properly and accurately. There were dust and fluffy particles on the floors especially in the corners both in the rooms and bathrooms. Even worse I saw a small bug in my sisters’ bathroom on the second day. Most probably the same was the case for our room but luckily we did not see.
Pros: Great budget hotel Modern and clean with parking across the street. Near to the town centre shops and bars.
Pros: The hotel is located between the train station and the river, very convenient for travellers. There are plenty of free car parking slots at the front. The cinema and the cultural center are next door.
Pros: Nice, central location, with an easy walk to many facilities and shops. There is a free public car park opposite the hotel on the other side of the river, 2 minute walk back to the hotel.
Cons: difficult to check in without French credit card, had to go to Ibis across the river to gain access, but only 1 door code out of 2 worked, had to wait until reception opened at 5pm to get into 2nd room, lost an hour sight seeing.
Pros: Adequate as a budget hotel for a one night stay.
Pros: Room was clean
Cons: The automatic machine to get into the hotel wouldn't accept my reservation number, the help line button didn't speak English so we had to go to the other Ibis to get help and after 7 hrs travelling the children were very unhappy and just wanted to rest. The room was freezing, the heater took ages to heat the room so a cold nights sleep.

Pros: Staff were very nice
Cons: Cleanliness of the place, on the pictures it looked nice and modern but when You arrive its old and stains everywhere, the bathroom need a deep clean, they clean the bath and toilets but everywhere else need a good scrub, the outside looked nothing like in the pictures advertised
Cons: dirty road side motel with direct access to your room from the street
Cons: People above stomping about all night, turning taps on and off, mould in the shower. Mentioned both (with photos) checking out and got a shrug!
Cons: There was a tick bug in my bed when I pulled the bed sheets back.
Pros: The location, the staff are always polite and it's got full disabled rooms
Cons: Roller shutter doors acting as blinds, stained radiator and sticky brown carpet
Pros: Location near main road
Cons: Everything is basic

Pros: Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good. Room was kept very clean.
Cons: Air con was struggling.
Pros: Great location, perfect for us bikers as they have a large underground garage that’s free for bikes to park. Very friendly, helpful staff and great value for money at around 70 euros for a single room with breakfast.
Pros: Very clean and comfortable
Cons: The room was a little hot, but it was a very warm summer.
Pros: Secure parking travelling on motorcyles, good pub bistro next door, Ibis standard accommodation. It worked fine for us.
Pros: Willing to store cycle securely. Parking outside front of hotel very secure although outside weekend is payable.
Pros: location near city center
Pros: I like to get this kind of room because I know in advance exactly what I’ll get and it’s pretty good. The room was quiet and WiFi was excellent which is not always the case with ibis. Possibility to have dinner in the hotel. There is a large restaurant next door. Excellent free large car park next door.
Cons: The restaurant next door makes basic quality food; not much joy with the food if you see what I mean. But bear in mind it’s an independent restaurant from the hotel.
Pros: We have stayed here previously & decided to stay again & if in the area would stay again. Location excellent, garage €2.5 for a motorcycle. Breakfast good.
Cons: Air conditioning was rubbish. Slept with the window open.
Pros: The location was good for our needs. The room was not very big, but adequately fitted out. The shower was good. The room was basic, but acceptable. The choice at breakfast was reasonable and the staff were pleasant - including the lady who let us in during the early hours after a party we had attended! Overall, exactly what one would expect from an Ibis - basic but clean and comfortable.
Cons: Wifi did not work

Pros: everything was perfect. The staff was really kind, warm and helpful. the room was small but very nice. the breakfast was great. we went there to go to Christmas market nearby and we found the hotel in a great position for that. we will definetly try to get back there.
Cons: Very nice people and delicious breakfast :) yhe room was nice and very clean.
Pros: Breakfast was good especially the orange juice which you squeezed yourself through a machine using fresh oranges.
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the sheets and towels were super soft. The owner was lovely and could not have been friendlier. There was a restaurant within walking distance which was good but you need to make a reservation. In Orbay there were several restaurants and we went to one which had a motelattatched and the food was sublime! The service was incredibly slow but the food was worth the wait. At our hotel the breakfast was very good only lacking fruit and cereal. However it was fresh produce and the freshly squeezed orange juice was a bonus. It was quiet at the hotel and I had the best nights sleep of the holiday.
Cons: The decor could do with an update but I am sure that the manager is aware of that. It did not detract from our enjoyment though.
Pros: Traditional Hotel lovely to see the ‘old things’ still in use. Staff were very friendly and food is all sourced from the local town
Pros: Perfect location for hiking trips. The owers are super nice. The hotel is visibly old, but everything is clean and comfortable, it is obvious the owners really care and do their best. Very tasty breakfast consisting of local food. Spacious parking space behind the house and possibility to leave your bikes in locked garage.

Pros: plenty of parking spaces, cleanliness, room size, great shower
Pros: The attic appartment was good for the family
Cons: Breakfast wasn't as various as one may expect
Pros: This is a lovely little hotel, decorated with charm., with traditional antiques. It is very clean and warm. The owner is friendly and welcoming. The food was great. Breakfast and supper delicious and we enjoyed trying the local dishes.
Cons: Unfortunately, the hotel is situated right next to the church whose bells chimed on the quarter hour throughout the night and we found it impossible to get a good night's sleep. It is such a shame because everything else about the place is perfect. The low price probably reflects this negative aspect, but we were travelling and we needed to sleep for the nine hour drive back to England on the next day. And for this reason alone, we regretfully would not stay again.
Pros: Good location plenty of parking good restaurant and friendly staff
Pros: Quaint room, lovely meal, friendly staff
Cons: Some road noise but this is a small town so not sure anywhere else would have been better

Pros: Fantastic little gem in a beautiful environment. Spacious rooms. Great breakfast and likewise great dinner offered at very reasonable Absolutely recommend this place if you are for a few days hiking in the Vosges area.
Cons: Little or no English spoken in the restaurant.
Pros: Great service/facilities and kids friendly. Staff were helpful when we arrived very late. We highly recommend this accomodation.
Pros: Spacious, simple, clean room. Comfortable bed. Coffee making facilities. Bathroom fine. Breakfast good with excellent bread and home made jams and honey. Secure on-site parking. Pleasant terrace.

When you stay at La Tête des Faux in Le Bonhomme, you'll be 14 minutes by car from Le Lac Blanc Ski Resort. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and multilingual staff. Free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: After hiking, I was starving and eagerly waited Alsatian sized portions, but left a bit hungry, because the restaurant was Italian with antipasti and a quite small lasagne. (:
Pros: Everything! Nice staff, very comfortable bed and clean rooms! The food was very tasty and the breakfast
Pros: The man who we interacted with most was beyond fantastic and welcoming. We arrived too late for dinner but we asked for a cheese plate and he (and the kitchen) was so very accommodating. I expected a few pieces of cheese but he brought us an extravagant plate of cheese and meat and a beautiful artichoke. Breakfast was very good - sort of a cross between a German breakfast and a French one. Very good and plentiful. The room had great water pressure and hot water. The room was clean and without flaws. We were to the front of the building and the view was very nice.
Cons: I can't think of any negatives.
Pros: They speak French, Italian and German so communication is easy. The restaurant is excellent and the breakfasts superb.
Cons: Could have stayed longer!
Pros: Breakfast was good, but 10 euros is a little steep. Extremely pleasant staff, and they let us use the garage to put the motorbikes locked away overnight.
Cons: Slightly cheaper breakfast, but I am splitting hairs here. The rooms are not super quiet and the bed was nicely firm, but kind of tilted to the centre.
Pros: This is what you imagine an European guest house would be. Delightful, beautifully decorated, four star dinner ,rooms excellent and the owner and staff were attentive and friendly. My family and I were thrilled with the stay. Thankyou for a life memory.
Cons: Absolutely nothing

Pros: Amazing. Everything was perfect.
Pros: Very nice location, friendly hosts, good food. Can't expect much more :)
Pros: Breakfasts were great - as were dinners - The meals were quite large, so pace yourself! The views were magnificent, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The beds were good, rooms quiet.
Cons: The wifi was patchy in the room..
When you stay at Hotel De La Poste - Logis De France in Le Bonhomme, you'll be 15 minutes by car from Le Lac Blanc Ski Resort. Featured amenities include laundry facilities and an elevator. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Everything about this hotel is good from the first moment you arrive. The owner/manager is very friendly and helpful and that attitude continues through the rest of the staff. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, the breakfast and dinner are excellent, and it's in a good location.
Cons: Not much I can say here
Pros: Lovely room in new section away from main road. Friendly welcome from host. Good facilities and parking for motorcycles. Breakfast delicious
Pros: Wonderful welcoming family style. Beautiful grounds. Lovely facilities. Nothing was a problem for the staff. Food was amazing. The best accommodation so far on a long trip in France.
Pros: We stayed in one of the modern rooms in a building overlooking the gardens, so this review does not necessarily apply to the original part of the hotel. Our room was very large, modern, clean and with a terrace. Totally relaxing after a drive from Genoa. The staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful. Restaurant is good, breakfast is good. The location fits the description of beautiful. The grounds and garden are well maintained.
Cons: No coffee or tea facility in room. This was the second time in 5 weeks that we stayed at hotels in Vosges Mountains, neither had coffee or tea in the rooms so this may be a characteristic of the hotels in this area.
Pros: My wife and I can honestly report that this hotel is absolutely fantastic in all respects. We did not use the swimming pool but from our inspection it looked extremely inviting. We simply did not have the time. All staff were very hospitable and catered to our every need instantly. Well Done to you all.
Pros: Friendly staff, great restaurant and good for families.
Pros: Nice people nice place quiet, nice atmosphere and garden in the back with new building , quite nice
Pros: The property is very nice, the breakfast is good, staff is friendly. The wine from their own yard is very tasty, especially the Pinot Gris and the Gewürztraminer.
Cons: There were heavy and loud road works during the night in front of the hotel. I do not complain about the works itself, because the hotel owner/staff can't do anything about it, but the hotel could have offered some incentives (e.g. free breakfast, bottle of wine, etc.) because of the noise at night. The restaurant is OK, but not very inspiring. We had the menu for 35 Euro, 4 courses, the first one was "Greetings from the kitchen", which was a bread with Salami (which was good, but I expect a little more for a fine French restaurant and usually this doesn't count as a course). The duck as the main course was a bit dry, the sauce was not really tasty. Overall was the price for the diner too high in comparison to the quality.
Pros: Interesting old, refurbished building. Staff is nice and helpful.
Cons: Breakfast was delusional: croissants, pain au chocolat and the local cake were clearly from 1 or 2 days before: super, super dry. Not one or two, but all of them!
Pros: A family run hotel , one person nicer and friendlier than the other. The restaurant was excellent and the breakfast buffet very nice. The room was surprisingly comfortable with a bathrobe laid out on the bed !!! What a nice touch. They have ample parking. It is furnished so cute and cozy with a little reading area on the 1st floor with a couch and comfortable chairs. A beautiful garden in the back .. you couldn't ask for more.
Cons: Everything was great but they could use a new mattress on the bed I slept on.
Pros: Very nice restaurant with excellent food and friendly service
Cons: No special parking for motorcycles
Pros: When we were there the hotel was peaceful and it was lovely to sit outside in their `grounds` with a glass of wine after unpacking.
Pros: The staff were very helpful and friendly; the room was clean and comfortable; the use of a heated swimming pool was a great bonus. Breakfast was a good selection of food and the fixed-menu dinner was superb. We will stay there again when in the area.
Pros: Food good, staff friendly and helpful; comfortable bed; free WiFi
Cons: Noisy road at front - would have been a problem if weather hot as no aircon. Pool very small and very hot! Capsule shower room barely adequate; room clean but not very well appointed and bare with no pictures.
Set in the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park, Relais Vosges Alsace is a hotel located in Plainfaing and offering a restaurant. You can relax on the large terrace with a drink from the bar and enjoy the view of the surrounding forest. The rooms at Relais Vosges Alsace are individually decorated in pastel tones and feature a private bathroom with a bath or shower. Some of the rooms have free WiFi access. Breakfast is served each morning in the communal lounge, with an additional cost. You can enjoy traditional meals from the region prepared with local produce at the on-site restaurant. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including skiing, cycling and hiking. The property offers free private parking.
Pros: It's a good roadside above-restaurant-hotel, rather clean with great value for money (compared to the other properties around), excellent if you go by the road nearby and don't want to deviate far. Also great, if you want to visit the nearby places, like the White lake, bikepark, etc. One more great thing, not usually found in such hotels - excellent 'supplies', like tea, coffee, plastic glasses, etc., and the towels. The stuff was very friendly. The breakfast was great. And the beds were fine. Wi-fi worked smooth in the room.
Cons: Well... the stuff could speak at least one more language, besides French. The shower won't let you in, if you would be not really slim - at least in our 4x room. And the place is quite noisy, especially when they drive bikes around. But this is all kinda expected for the price and if you look at the map, so... not of a problem.
Pros: Friendly staff. The bed was very comfortable. Location in the mountains, very good for my cycling tour. The restaurant serves excellent food. Very good price.
Cons: The room would need a bit of freshening up, new paint, some maintenance.
Pros: Staff were superb and the quality of the food was excellent. Overall I would recommend it.
Cons: The bathroom could do with an upgrade and beer was very expensive at €8 for 500ml
Pros: the staff were really good - very welcoming and helpful. A convenient location for either traveling through or exploring the region. Despite being next to a main road the room, which faced the road, was quiet. The food was great.
Cons: the rooms are looking tired but this was part of it's charm - a real family run hotel from the 1980's rather than a modern, clinical, bland, 'could be anywhere' hotel.
Pros: Nice off the track place. All good Restaurant was nice with good food.

The hotel’s rooms offer carpeted or parquet floor and a wardrobe. The private bathroom features a shower and free toiletries. A continental breakfast featuring a range of bread, pastries, jams and orange juice is served. The restaurant offers home-made traditional food that can be enjoyed on the terrace. Supermarkets are 2 km away. The Montagne des Singes Park is a 14-km drive way. Guests can also drive 15 km to the Wine Route or 30 km to Colmar. Sélestat train Station is 19 km away and there is access to A35 Motorway 20 km away.
Pros: good breakfast (not included but at 7 Euros a good deal) with ham, cheese, egg (boiled), jam, baguette & croissant very peaceful & quiet rural (cows around but fenced in) location on a steep hillside (a bit tricky to get to but fine if you check online info first & then follow directions) good bed in a small room with small bathroom, all a bit dark nice restaurant offering typical French cuisine, albeit pretty pricey Outdoor and indoor seating available about 1km outside (above) the village of St. Croix -aux-Mines
Cons: everything was fine, though it would be nice to have a space outside with something like lawn chairs to enjoy the peaceful countryside especially when some of the rooms are small and a bit dark.
