Old room, squeaky floor, noisy bed, paper thin wall, etc...
Horrible room condition
Unclean rooms, musty smell, no fan exhaust in bathroom.
Always love Banff
The staff was nice.
The hotel was not clean and our bathroom smelled like mold. I know it is summer time in Banff but $250 a night for this place is insane. It’s the furthest hotel in town you can get. I would of been happier if it was clean and didn’t smell.
location is good
washroom was not flush, somebody used but the didinot flush, room was old and dark
Ok but Banff needs to get better
The staff were fantastic. From check-in to dealing with an issue (rowdy guests), they were very professional and personable. The best staff member was the server handling the Sunday morning buffet. Very nice and welcoming and was very courteous to our family. The room was ok and the price point is good. The bed was comfortable.
The hotel is showing it's age. Stayed in the Swiss Village building and it needs to be updated. The bathroom flooring was peeling up, the bathtub drain was an issue (but fixed quickly by hotel staff), and the pool and hot tub are both in desperate need of updating (note: it looks like a few days later the pool was closed). Banff "needs to get better" in the sense that if attention isn't given to proper maintenance to the accommodations in the area, one will think twice about returning. The second of two trip to Banff in two years and the town feels run down. Open note to guests: I get you are there to have a good time but no one needs to hear you yelling up to your buddies balcony at midnight asking for rolling papers. be proactive and carry your own dude!
For the value, it’s good
Offered more amenities than I expected and really for the price it wasn’t bad at all. In-hotel restaurants and bars, heated indoor hot tub, gift shop, and right in front of a major bus stop. For a no-frills hotel it was decent
There was an odor on the first night, had trouble “dialing in” the thermostat since it didn’t reflect the correct temp, and the lighting in the room was a tiny bit more dimmer than desired.
So excellent!!! By far the best customer service!!!
Great staff. Salim at the front desk was awesome
No air conditioning in rooms or restaurants. Sweat all night and can't keep windows open because of bright outside lights
The beds were comfortable, but it's just dated and made me feel like it wasn't clean and fresh like you want a hotel to feel. I was there two nights and am happy to be home in a clean feeling environment. I would never stay there again, but in an awful pinch it will do. It just needs to be updated. I would 100% spend the extra money and sleep elsewhere.
The front desk staff was friendly and informative.
The hotel was old and run-down; the hotel is dis-jointed and one must walk outside from various buildings to access main building and hot tub; the hotel is far from sound-proof hence very noisy; the room was not clean and showed signs of damage; insufficient towels and ones provided were worn; the bathroom sink did not drain properly and particles floated back into the sink from the plumbing; beds were noisy given they they covered in plastic and EXTREMELY uncomfortable! It was an unpleasant stay and we are grateful that we only booked one night!
Don't expect much
Beds were clean
Shower wasn't working. Rooms are old. Parking is scarce on weekends.
The hotel was about a mile outside of downtown Banff and the walk was very short and pretty. The hotel included bus passes for each guest which was great for when we didn't want to walk or when we wanted to go further into Banff. The room was spacious and relatively comfortable and the staff was helpful and friendly.
Hot tub on the roof and the nice big rooms
I was very suprised how great this hotel was when we arrived because it was not expensive at all. The staff was excellent. The giant outdoor hot tub was amaing, and it is located 5 minutes from downtown.
I have no complaints, only that there were a few parties going on in some of the rooms. That did not at all bother us, security was quick to quiet things down. However if I was looking for a romantic trip or relaxing night, this could be frustraing.
The outdoor hot pool
The sauna take much time to heat
It was located just a few minutes to Fairmont, Lake Louise and other placs of interest at the city center.
The pillows smell
As a matter of fact, hotel staff were so kind especially there was a guy who I talked to but unfortunately I dont know his name ! he was such an amzing guy . I will c u guys again if I wanna come to ur hotel :) keep it up .
everything was awesome thanks :)
The best part of our stay had to be the Hot pools, they were very relaxing, and had an amazing view of the mountains
The restaurant in the hotel, is directed for acquired tastes. The menu didnt really have anything on it that you would normally find on other menus.
The hot tub and its opening hours were super
The directions to the rooms from the car park could have been better
I found it very comfortable and the view from the suite was excellent. I would stay there again.
Rooms old and not well maintained. It was very hot no air conditioning. No available parking. Ceiling falling in one of our rooms.
It was too hot in the standard room. we had to leave the door to the balcony open in the night. The internet was slow.
