Neil and Maria run a lovely B & B. The service is exceptional - both are so friendly and helpful. Our room was really comfortable, and breakfast was really yummy. I would definitely stay there again, and I would have no trouble recommending that my friends or family stay there.
It is near the sea. The noise was unbelievable at night and the price didn't include breakfast. The room was tiny and not very comforable.
Staff where extremly friendly especially the restaurant staff...very enjoyable break tks
Near the beach
We went there to celebrate our anniversary but were put in the annex across the street which we found cold and unwelcoming and we were anxious about the security of that building as front door was off the lock a good bit of the time. Unfortunately we did not enjoy our suppose to be Special weekend away. We have stayed at the hotel before and found it a wonderful place to relax and enjoy but not t
Comfortable, good location, friendly staff. no hot water in the shower, room wasn't warm enough.
The beach location was great and it was an ideal stopover point between Dublin and Kenmare. The Roast Beef dinner was great! For the location and price it was all fine.
The staff were so welcoming and friendly everything was great and the price was reasonable after years of me looking at this hotel but it was always so dear before
the service needed a lift to get luggage up to the room
very noisy room was opposite taxi rank which was very busy the eariy hours of Sunday morning also loud music could be heard from the bar untill 1 am both saturday &sunday nights this ment sleep was in short supply do not book this hotel for a restful weekend
where it was situated right beside the sea beds in family too close togeather
food in pub was very good and served fast , swimmingpool was nice for kids , Hotel staff very frindly and helpfull , breakfast was nice pool closes at 7:00pm for kids,
Room was big, spacious and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Shower over bath was awkward to use. Also grout between wall tiles in shower area was slightly blackened.
everything was fantastic. this is a B&B and not a regular hotel, the owners was very nice and the room was very clean. they have a free Wi-Fi. I couldnt find the street in the GPS...
It was within 5 mins walk of town and staff recommended some lovely restaurants. Breakfast was v good but had 5 euro per person charge for full irish. Beds not v comfortable room small but ok for short break
The proprietors Niamh and Avery are fantastic. Super-friendly and efficient. The place has a lovely, warm feel--perfect for coming back to after a long walk. The rooms are clean and comfortable with en-suite facilities. Free wi-fi is great too. Breakfast is amazing--tons of options and all delicious! Avery's banana pancakes are a particular treat! All in all, a lovely experience. (PS--And don't believe the map view on Booking.com--this place is right smack in the center of town.) nope!
Everything was nice and the price very affordable none
A nice hotel, friendly owners, short walk to the city center and ocean. Clean rooms, comfortable lobby. Breakfast was ok. No Wifi in the room (despite other claims). Lobby room is closed at night.
Very friendly people there, the breakfeast was very good, the room was clean and nice, i recomend to everyone
Friendly, confortable Nothing
Spacious, clean, friendly staff, great parking. The water at Tramore tastes a bit unpleasant -- would have been nice to use filtered water in the coffee and tea.
What I liked best was the freshly cooked breakfast. I was met with friendly helpful staff and the place was neat and clean. It was also very convenient and close to a number of restaurants It was a bit noisy. The guest house is quite close to the nearest pub and people were standing outside smoking that resulted in loud conversations
Leisure Centre and very relaxing. Were not happy with main course at dinner but were compensated in a very nice manner. smell of paint
everything! - the staff were wonerful - room was beautiful with great view. The diningroom - for dinner was not very good.
Excellent food, and very nice surroundings
The ambience of the hotel was most relaxing and my elderly mother found the whole experience excellent.
This hotel was absolutely magical. I wish I had booked there for more than one night. The piano lounge alone was worth the cost of staying there!
paid 198 euro felt it was expensive on arrival couldnt get into bar to have something to due to a weeding party should have separate place for other guests
easy going and nice walks , great for golfers but i dont golf.no no
peace and comfort; scenery and walks; lovely restaurant nearby at Cheekpoint
The room was beautiful very clean with everything you could want for the stay. Wish we had stayed longer. The breakfast bar was a bit congested if a lot of people arrived together
Reminded me of the old world charm missing from hotels in U.S. A bit worn but stately and tastefully done. Charming... Please don't change a thing!
Very good breakfast It needed a lick of paint and wardrobe smelt of damp. The second room we had booked for my father the shower head was broken and you had to hold it.
Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and tidy, excellent cooked breakfast. Internet available. I arrived early and was able to check in. The hostel self catering facilities were also good. I would highly recommend it.
Price meant it was good value
Of all the places we stayed in Ireland this was the most expensive and the worst. Handy location but this was the only thing it had going for it. Small room and far too expensive for what we got.
Close to town centre, just behind Guiness Brewery& free Wi-fi No tea & coffee in rooms, but available in lounge. long walk to some rooms & not too ideal if you want a drink in a morning before dressing
Friendly staff, clean comfortable room.
Built in a nice old building, 5 minutes walk to the heart of Waterford City centre. Staff are friendly and efficient. A variety of breakfasts were available. Private parking is available. Last breakfast is at 9.45am, and checkout is at 10.30am, which I thought a bit too early.
For the nights I was staying in Waterford it was perfect as we had an ensuite room. The room was only going to be used for sleeping anyways so the price was ideal for us. We enjoyed our stay.
Very comfortable beds, clean bathroom and delicious breakfast. We had a quiet and relaxing experience. The distance from restaurants and shops was a bit les than desirable.
lovely friendly staff. informative, helpfull, but not in your face. perfect place to stay.
The staff were very nice and helpful, the service was quite good The food wasnt that good, although this is down to personal perference
A fabulous breakfast served by a very friendly waitress Having to pay for wi fi and having a computer each we also had to pay per computer. Also breakfast ends rather early at 10.00am
friendly staff keys stopped working after 12 p.m
i liked everything i go every nov to shop for xmas i love dooleys
Good Location. Nice comfortable room. Pleasant surroundings. Good restaurant/bar. Friendly staff. Nothing
the warm welcome we recieved and the food.
I only spent one night at the hotel but I found it a pleasant experience the staff were helpful and the breakfast was good as was the meal I had in the evening was also good. The only gripe I would have regarding Dooley's is that when I returned to the hotel after a night out around two thirty a.m the main door into the hotel was locked as was all other doors and there was no one in the reception area.So I had to ring a bell and wait a few minutes to gain entry. This is something I expect or have experienced when I have stayed in hostels but I don't think this is the norm when staying in a nice hotel.
Room was excellent. Brilliant value for money. Would definitely consider staying there again!
friendlyness of the staff. .
The location just in front of the Tower, symbol of the city, gives a good starting point to the city centre and the visit (well worth it) at the Waterford Crystals just few steps away. Continental breakfast was really poor, compared with other hotels with same star rating
the most helpful staff and the food bed was most comfortable no
the room was too warm and no air con
A well located hotel ideal for visiting Waterford.Good clean facilities
The rooms were comfortable clean and ideal for our purposes Early morning noise from guests returning to their rooms
The food was excellent and at a decent price too, the leisure centre was nice. The reception, bar and resteraunt all look modern and clean I thought for a 3 star hotel the room was small and looked quite dated a big crack running down the wall and coving was coming away from the ceiling, The bed was quite hard and the fact that one of the pillows was rubber/plastic covered was disturbing
The hotel's location was great and the reason we booked it. The bar and restaurant were nice. The breakfast was lovely. Leisure facilities were great. The room looked very tired and in need of a lick of paint. The paint on the ceiling of the bathroom was actually peeling off. Our room was over the bar on the first floor. With the smoking area directly underneath our window, we could smell the smoke which drifted up. No air conditioning in the room, we had to ask for a fan. Quite noisy with the weekend entertainment directly under us over the weekend. Furniture in the room was poor, some of the draws were coming apart or didn't close without fiddling with them. No pillow slip for the spare pillows.
The room was ridiculously hot and despite keeping the window open all night, I couldn't sleep because of the heat. The radiators were not on.
staff friendly, breakfast was nice and evening meal was good food. Location was good and we got a space in car park the rooms were in need of a good decoration. In our room 147 the hot tap was not working correctly when you turned on the tap it was boiling hot and when you showered the floor was flooded. Only one shampoo and one shower gel for two people which was a bit poor. Overall room was disappointing as the bar and lobby were very nicely done
Nice rooms, large bathroom space, very clean Right in the heart of town -walking distance to everything I wanted to see
Convenient location, spa facilities on site, comfy bed, not too noisy. Car park is not on site, not very close, and not well signposted. Difficult to access initially due to one-way street system
It was very central to the town with a good selection of restaurants near by. We also had a nice view of the river. Unfortunately we had some very noisy guests in the room or rooms next to us. A number of men woke us, singing and talking very loudly at some ungodly hour in the morning.
The room was simply styled, not fussy. Location was good. Buffet breakfast was haphazard.
staff were excellent the breakfast was far from up to the standard expected, the room we had was over the bar and we could hear everything up til 4 am.
the staff and the food....... The corridors were narrow and carpet and wood finishing poor and and the lift (which was the first impression I got after arrival was damaged in poor shape.!
Day staff were nice on phone and when checking out. Arrived late which I had rung to say earlier but found night staff not very helpful; TV did not work but it was too late and I was too tired to try to get it fixed at that time of night; hot water in bathroom was only tepid at 7 am when I needed it although it was warmer by 7.30 am which was too late for me
The staff were very helpfull and the food was very good. The lift was i a terrible state and the button numbers were cellotaped!!
The room was nicely decorated The shower was very poor and the doors throughouot the hotel were very squeaky!
i loved the gym and found it easy to get to shops.
My wife and I stayed one night at the Fitzwilton. We really enjoyed ourselves. The staff was very helpful and our room was great. Unfortunately, the one night we stayed there, the restaurant was not open, but there were lots of great restaurants within walking distance. We definitely plan on coming back to Waterford and when we do, we'll probably stay at the Fitzwilton again. The parking was pretty rough. I circled through the "parking garage" three times before I finally realized that I was just going to have to cram my car into a space. Glad I got there when I did, because if we had showed up much later, we would have been out of luck.
Room internet service Lack of air conditioning or themoset fan. Very noisy for two nights!!!!
convenience to airport Menu choice in resturant
Staff were very friendly and helpful The windows didnt block out much noise from the streets below.
Quietly efficient, helpful staff, excellent understated Christmas decor, clean, modern but relaxing furnishing. I thought Waterford was very shabby, which is inexcusable given the decade of the Celtic Tiger, the unique history and beautiful location of the city. You should complasin bitterly to the City Council/Chamber of Commerce. Try walking by the quayside, but beware of hundreds of canine I.E.Ds.
Size of room and quality of fittings
very nice hotels, great staff on reception, always friendy, very proffesional
Excellant rooms, very comfortable beds
At €61 for the night, it was great value for money Rooms need deep clean
Excellent location. Bedrooms very comfortable and spotless, welcoming reception staff. Reception staff excellent but other staff in bar & dining room offered average service. Could do with more bar staff. For 4* hotel there should be a better choice of breakfast to include selection of herbal teas
friendly and very helpful the meals where not up to standard
location room bar meal
The Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant which made the stay worthwhile There were small things that could be improved on e.g. the curtain was not attached properly at the end.
Great location for my requirements Food awful. Find a decent Resturant if you want food
the sunday roast bacon meal was very bad value for money
Excellent room (210) with great views of river
The food was lovely and breakfast was plentiful room cleaned even tho only really one day there very basic services not many staff and badly in need on refurb, staff all round werent very friendly not much smiles
We booked last minute and the cost was very reasonable. View of the river was excellent. That neighborhood felt safe, but not very central. Definitely not the charming part of town, though not too far from it.
The heat Breakfast room is a little old and more like a function room.Nice views of the river but decor inside could improve.
Rooms on front of hotel over front door. Very noisy, people out smoking, noise until early hours disturbed sleep. Next morning coach driver left engine running for 45 minutes for no apparent reason.
The hotel staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We got stuck in Waterford because of the airport closing due to bad weather and the staff did everything in their power to help us. Nothing was too much trouble.
Clean, comfortable, reasonable price
Whilst at the hotel I became ill and the staff could not have been more helpful. I was allowed to stay in the room until I felt able to drive home without any extra charge.. I ended up booking another night. The breakfast was delicious but the service was only fair.
Hated it the staff treated me very bad and i would never recomended any one to stay there
very convenient to amenities staff very friendly and helpful, didnt eat there only breakfast which was very good cannot comment on other food i asked for room on ground floor if possible but got no response i got a room quite high up that was a problem for me i would stay there again if i got a room on the first floor of the hotel preferably to the back bit noisy early in the morning from the street
On arrival room stuffy, hole in roof bed cover dirty stained carpet had to be moved and was satisified
Very friendly, helpful staff. Quiet hotel with nice garden and friendly atmosphere yet 5 minute drive to city centre. Lovely evening meal. Shower curtain rather than glass panel ensured bathroom floor was soaked. Breakfast cold buffet bar was constantly empty and when stocked up, the staff only brought out 3-4 slices of whatever was asked for causing constant queues. (looked like a cost saving measure gone mad). Breakfast charge of €11 too dear if buffet is not well stocked. Service very slow for cooked breakfast (45 mins).
The dining experience was very romantic and service was superb. The view from the hotel was beautiful. The price for dinne was very affordable. Our room smelled a little damp, which wasn't too appealing. The large bed was in fact two twin mattresses side by side, which made a crack in the middle. Very small tv, but not a big issue.
Great food, very large and comfortable rooms, and great views from the bedroom window Can hear other bedroom doors closing - suggest some form of gradual closing/dampening
nice room and excellent food a little carelessness in servicing the rooms. eg no hand towels or fresh glasses left on one morning
The staff were extremely friendly Bar/lounge was very small
Hotel was quiet and relaxed, not large and impersonal. Saturday evening dinner in the dining room - there was a singer/guitarist, very nice touch. NO.
Staff were friendly and helpful and room was very nice and clean. I'd have to say the full Irish breakfast wasn't great, not very nice.
We liked the accommodation, the friendliness of the staff, good dinner and breakfast andconsidered it good value for this standard of hotel..
The friendly staff and the relaxing atmosphere no
Staff helpful and friendly
lovely room, the food snd bar wertr nice--the bar was exciting since the soccer game was playing--nice people. great location
the character of the hotel - old world but with modern comforts.
I liked how clean it was and it was very close to the town centre. It also has free parking which was nice. A nice breakfast also. It was quiet also. It was a little dated but that was the only negative.
Room was spacious and comfortable
very clean and well kept, bedroom spacious and warm.hotel in good location and parking available.good value
Pretty Central. Room was too hot and when we opened the window we got the noise of the traffic.
we loved our room so big and comfy and the staff where so helpful when we had a small prob one of the best hotels we ve stayed at this was our fourth time staying there and will be going back again
There is no car parking for guests of the hotel. Guests must pay for parking in a public car park across the street - very poor.
Friendly staff Carrying luggage over stairs
location and convenience The hotel needs to communicate with guests about changes in reservations
lovely ambience, very central and delicious breakfast!
the facilities of the the pool and the nice bar made our stay very comfortable no complaints
comfortable room, pleasant staff, nice big car park.
The staff were very good, have to give Ellen on the reception desk a mension. She was really helpful in every way.
I like the fact that it was close to but not actually in the City and that it we had a very relaxing weekend staying at the hotel
didn't like the brown water out of the hot tap in the bath and the bar food was awful!!
very quite and relaxed - loved the leisure centre! the staff were also brilliant in the bar reception and the leisure centre! When we got there we got a smoking room but were too tired to complain and have to be moved.
good lesiure centre nothing
Really enjoyed the hotel and staff were very pleasant. Lovely and clean. Used the pub restaurant and food was great. Also used the pool with the children who really enjoyed it.
The staff The shower is too close to the wall
The hotel was easy to find. Room and bathroom were very clean and confortable. The staff was nice. We booked a twin room and we had a double bed room. As we arrived very late, the manager thought we were not coming. So, if you plan to check in late, notice it during your booking.
Friendly staff, nice clean rooms
foof excelent hotel good easy to locate receptionist not over friendly and when making a complaint her attitude was just sorry
Very good food. Excellent location for business base. Road noise from N25, but this is not hotels fault.
I stopped two nights at the beginning and end of my visit to Ireland. They were welcoming and made our stay a joy. I would definitely stay there again.
stay was short but i would recomend to friends building site beside
Staff are very friendly and professional. Good selection of food in the bar.
The rooms were quiet and comfortable. The selection of Hot chocolate and biscuits as well as tea or Coffee provided in the room was nice. I was a solo traveller and would have used room service but the €5 charge for a tray to have a sandwich seemed high.
It was easy and relaxing
