Slightly out of town but not an issue, parking safe, welcome brilliant this hotel and the chain have soemthing different to offer if they are the newer ones in the group. Amazing value and comfort for a chain and the for a stopover brilliant. Lively restaurant so a good atmosphere not stuffy or abandoned. The owner was on the case - would recommend and stay again selectively as the Montpellier one close to the airport a bit of a mess!!!
Location and parking Poor wifi coverage
Staff were friendly and available - dealing with people rather than a card machine! Restaurant available on site. Good sized room and en-suite. Access to reception via steps could prove a problem for some guests.
Thr price was fine for a budget hotel. There were no English speaking channels on the TV
Great restaurant, heater in room, no secure parking. no facility to make tea or coffe in room
We had a ground floor room, which had a door opening onto a decking area, with deckchair. Nice to be able to let the sun shine into the room. A seating area nearby would have been good to use, had the weather been a bit warmer. We had a very good meal in the restaurant. Be warned that on a Tuesday evening the restaurants in town close, so it's good that you can eat at the hotel.
The location was good for our family. It was easy to find, and fairly clean. The price was rather high, considering the basics were all that was met. We ate in the restaurant, and found that the food was not very exceptional for the price. We would have been happier had we visited a local restaurant.
The easy location and only ten minutes walk to the town, lovely old town with a lot of history. Good choice of breakfast and good restaurant with very resaonable prices. Free parking. Was excellent as a stop over on our way back from our tour of France.
This is not a complaint but needs attention. The booking confirmation received shows check in time from 1400hrs. When we arrived the hotel was closed and check in time was not until 1700hrs. Other travellers also arrived for the earlier time.
Be fare about the rooms and amount of beds in the rooms. In our case we made a reservation for 5 persons and max amount of beds was only four, while on the resevation page stand extra bed possible
stayed at hotel de france on 17/09/10. excellent hotel. very friendly staff, especially the manager who went out of his way to ensure we had everything. had dinner in the restaurant that night which was also excellent. worth every penny.
Were made very welcome. Parking is a bit short but my reserved place was always available. Both breakfast and dinner over the 4 nights were pleasant experiences with good choice of menu for dinner. The hotel was a 2 to 3 minute walk to the centre of the old town.
Very cosy and relaxing atmosphere. Nicely furnished room. Very friendly and obliging staff. High quality restaurant. Even good breakfast for French standards. Worth its price.
The food in the restaurant though expensive was delicious. The manager speaks good English which was helpful. The new annex is as yet unfinished. For the price it needs those little extras. Nowhere to hang towels and only 4 coathangers. Care needed if not breakfasting as we were charged when we didn't eat,
Very comfortable room and very friendly staff, only used as a stopover but would return if we are in the area again. We weren't told that we would be charged for parking our motorcycle in the garage and then were charged the same rate as a car.
Beautiful location, wonderful hotel and fantastic food.
very good service excellent location!very good food
The staff wen out of their way to be welcoming, friendly and helpful in every way. The hotel itself is just beautiful, the rooms stunning, and the food exceptional. What's not to like???
stayed at this hotel in September 2009 - the Gorge du tarn drive was amazing and the views from the hotel were out of this world. I wouldn't order breakfast as it costs 15 euro each and all you get is tea/coffee, cheese and bread... no fruit or cereal!!
Amazing....absolutely amazing location and awesome French chateau. We went canoeing on the Tarn in the middle of the huge gorge. Perfect place. Stayed in much much worse 5 star hotels and this one is only 4 stars. The hotel was a little over attentive and fussy. For example we were interrupted during an evening drink and asked to fill out a breakfast card which asked what time we would like to eat breakfast. Fair enough but then we were interrupted again to be told that our choice of time, 1030 was too late as 1000 is the finish time for breakfast. Would be nice to know beforehand if it's such a big...
The location, in particular the tranquility of the location The pool area is badly in need of renovation
Beautiful hotel, both inside and outside. Fantastic position. Our meal was not nearly as good as we expected it to be.
The relaxed style and helpful staff always on hand to help and assist whenever needed which was much appreciated. some of the outside furniture could do with some TLC
We loved the setting of the hotel and the quality of the fine dining. We would have liked to have somewhere to sit in the gardens in the shade other than around the pool. It would have been nice to see flowres in bloom in the gardens.
Truly spectacular Chateau, very well restored. Our dinner was excellent....real gourmet cuisine.
Good value None really
This unpretentious but extremely efficient clean machine is to be highly recommended. Free wi-fi access. Friendly staff. Super clean. Easy access to the town center.
You get what you pay for here. The hotel isn't brilliant, but if you're travelling on the road and need somewhere to sleep, then it's fine. Do not book here if you are expecting anything other than a motel style room. Wasn't exactly five-star cleanliness but then you don't pay five-star rates.
sort of cheap a little run down place with low facilities, breakfast in a cave like room
Good for the traveler - rooms need an update eg carpet was torn - helpful to have video surveillance of car park.
Good price, good possition and good breakfast.
We found the Deltour Hotel exactly as described, a pleasant relaxing stay during our drive from Switzerland to England, apart from .......... During the evening around 21.00 hours, something above our door(pipework or ventilation equipment) produced a long and continuous drill-like drone in the actual door. As there was no one at the desk we solved the problem by inserting a thick wad of paper between the door and the door jamb. Yes, we would stay again, but not in this room unless the problem had been rectified.
I asked for non smoking rooms. My booking.com form stated "strictly no smoking". There were no non smoking rooms.
Price/location/easy to find on way into mende ROOM was smokey should have complained on arrival
Neither the hotel nor the staff had much personality. Restaurant very disorganised and not as good as they think it is. But not much alternative in the town
Large room and spacious bathroom. Outlook from room with good views of river and town Excellent dining room and terrace in traditional style. Very helpful staff. Difficult entry into car park if you have a larger than average size vehicle.
The keys were waitng for us, the room zas Ok for a transit hotelm the two young waitresses in the dining room were delightful, despite the madame being a sourpuss
We really enjoyed our stay here. The town is gorgeous and the scenery just stunning, and it is just five minutes off the motorway so couldn’t be more convenient. The room was fairly basic and functional but had a large, modern bathroom. The hotel owners were lovely – very friendly and did their best to help us when someone blocked us in the car park and prevented us leaving for an hour!! If you need somewhere to stop beyond Clermont Ferrand I would definitely recommend here and would like to return to the area in general.
super welcome, gorgeous village in rural massif central
yes, excellent service, food, value for money, and accommodation No
A fairly comfortable and reasonably priced hotel. The views from the hotel room( has a balcony) are just beautiful. the place has a bar and restaurant.. there are a few retaurants nearby. no
Having a restaurant available and Le Canourgue is a very pretty small town and well worth a visit.
Secure parking and location Rooms are circa 1960 basic no frills food was passable if you like oily food
The hotel is located central La Carnougue, easy access to the very nice and cosy town. Good starting point for tours into the National Park. Rooms are clean and equipped with new nice looking bathrooms.Garage was offered to us to park our motorbikes free of charge. The rooms on the street side are loud in the morning. The breakfast served was not ours, but you can ask for different.
We were six on motorbikes. Good secure parking was excellent. Rooms with twin beds were comfortable. Short walk into town (1.0 km). Buffet breakfast was excellent, and with a good choice of foods. No.
The hotel is ok, but be aware of trafic noice. Traffic noice from trucks all night. half of the rooms are very close to the a road used by heavy trucks all night.
The hotel was easy to find. On arrival at the hotel at 4.30pm we joined a queue of others unable to get into the hotel or make contact with them by phone. lady arrived after 5pm, no apology.
very useful location to link to main routes no kettle available which would have been invaluable as we arrived late and there were no other facilities at hotel or locally, breakfast was very overpriced bread and croissants served on a paper plate left on our table uncovered before we came down
The hotel was clean. Location was good, with good access to road network. Due to late arrival, we had to telephone to advice this as limited arrival time, and was given door codes over telephone. When arriving late at night, lighting was very poor, making using steps risky. Breakfast was poor, already plated with no choice, and very small amount.
great price ,on way to spain great place to stop.
Clean and basic Descriptions and pictures did not really match up, very small rrom and quite basic. Two rooms booked but hotel had run out so friends upgraded to a much nicer room. Felt meals where very pricey and breakfats was 11 Euors per person!! Car parling is oppositr hotel and no in view so no security!
Staff were pleasant and helpful A bit pricey for the standard of the building etc
The dinner was very nicely done and well served; breakfast was nothing special by comparision to many other French/Spanish hotels in which we've stayed but was fine. It was nice to have a swimming pool that was not overrun by children... at least when we visited it. There was a persistent and bothersome odor in the toilet stall... as though there was a slow, festering, mildewed leak somewhere in the nearby plumbing or inadequate sewerage gas ventilation.
The concierge spoke excellent English and recommended a day trip that was fabulous. His knowledge of the local attractions enhanced our visit tremendously. This hotel had what we needed: an elevator, air-conditioning (although it wasn't necessary), and free parking. We didn't partake of the breakfast and we ate elsewhere for dinner.
The staff were very friendly and most helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The room was a little small and the beds not that comfortable.
A very pleasant hotel with very helpful staff. Convenient location just outside the town centre. Very good restaurant.
The dog in the lobby! No customer-centric perspective of the hotel staff.
Position Small room, very basic
Not much- pool- restaurant was good quality facilties were poor tea making-toaster-cold tap stuck on full-broken bathroom tiles.
It was simple to find on the outskirts of the main town. The area is wonderful in terms of its setting.
Better than expected! Cheap hotel outside the Autoroute. Good to have a rest before to continue the driving.
Everything was as expected. The hotel is very close to the highway but there is hardly any noise (at least in our room). Very convenient location. The breakfast room is quite small so it's better to arrive early if you don't want to wait to be seated.
speed of booking in and out
The room was functional, clean and provided everything I require from a hotel room (ie a comfortable clean bed, fully functioning bathroom). The place was quiet and the staff member was helpful, ensuring my bike was safely stored round the back. The location was close to the ring road and, while convenient for a nearly hypermarket, was not particularly near the town centre.
Low cost - clean and comfortable. No mealss, but hotel next door provided all (Good) meals at cost
Great location right by the motorway No reply to remarks on booking / no baby cot provided as per remarks
2nd night after moving rooms to room 4, the new room looked out over the car park, but it was comfortable and quiet, and represented very good value for money. Location is in a touristy (attractive) small town close to Gorges du Tarn, we had a fun canoe trip down the river. Rather nice oldie worldie character to the place. Didn't eat at the hotel. First night (room 2) we had constant loud snoring from room 3, no sound insulation, which kept us awake the entire night, otherwise clean and comfortable.
Charming location and picturesque setting. Lovely old fashioned building in stunning setting in the mountains. After staying in a chain hotel the night before this was a delight. Excellent food and entertaining waiter made for an excellent experience and everyone was friendly. Nothing ,it's authentic and great !
Lovely hotel in picturesque surroundings. All-French only speaking staff gave us a good chance to stretch our French-speaking skills! Although the food was really excellent, we had a very long and unexplained delay between first and main courses.
The only thing we liked was the location, and see it only as a one night stopover in a pretty French village We found the meals provided in the hoter restaurant to be of a very poor standard. Breakfast also required extra payments for a very basic continental format
