At Abbington Green Bed & Breakfast Inn, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Biltmore Estate and Asheville Mall. Guests can indulge in massages, aromatherapy, or reflexology. A terrace and a garden are other highlights, and rooms at this luxurious bed & breakfast offer upscale touches like fireplaces and jetted tubs.
Cons: The only complaint that I have is that in our room (I don't know about other rooms) the lighting in the bathroom was very inappropriate by the sink which was the only the area where my makeup was to be applied.
The other one is that there was no coffee dispener scoop for the coffee maker.
Definitely not enough hangers!
Other than that it was awesome!
Pros: Location, staff, and rooms
Cons: The noise level in our hotel room was unbelievable. We were informed that there was a family with 4 children under the age of 8 in the king room above us! I found it unbelievable especially since I had requested a quiet room for my birthday. This obviously did not happen and we found ourselves moving rooms at 11:00 pm! Great hotel but terrible noise insulation in rooms.
Pros: Loved the rustic atmosphere. Staff was super-friendly. Loved that we could open our windows (third floor) onto the street and listen to and watch the city. Very clean and comfortable.
Pros: The Windsor is a beautiful hotel with everything you need on the inside with everything you would want to do within walking distance. I would highly recommend the Windsor for a getaway weekend for couples.
Pros: Amazing Hotel.
Cons: Staff wasn't what I expected for such a high-end hotel. No offer to help with bags or reservations around town. Friendly, just not what I expcted from a $500 p/night hotel.
Located in Downtown Asheville Art District, this boutique hotel is 0.2 mi (0.3 km) from Thomas Wolfe Memorial and 2.3 mi (3.7 km) from Asheville Mall. Biltmore Estate is 5.4 mi (8.6 km) away.
Pros: Location couldn't be better!! Staff is very welcoming, and the spacious accommodations allowed us to spread out and never feel cramped. Comfy bed. Plenty of drapes to block light and really sleep in if you wish. The adjacent bier garden is a bonus if you want to watch sports, and the bartenders are very friendly.
Pros: Huge room, but almost too big (not cozy). Staff is super friendly. Location, Location, Location! Nice touch that you get water/champagne upon arrival and a goodie back of water and snack bars for ride home. Free internet. Free breakfast at attached cafe which is decent. Was nice not to feel nickel and dimed.
Cons: Dated furniture (but it is very well maintained).
Pros: Room was great, very spacious and well appointed but a little dated. Staff was excellent.
Cons: Perhaps it was the downtown location but the street noise, even in an upper level room was very noticeable.
When you stay at Haywood Park Hotel, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Biltmore Estate and Asheville Mall. Guests can visit the fitness center for a workout or grab a bite to eat at Isas Bistro, which serves lunch and dinner. A bar/lounge and a sauna are offered, and rooms at this upscale hotel get the details right with Egyptian cotton sheets and premium bedding.
Pros: Incredible staff and lovely, quaint place to stay. Free happy hour every day, too! The room was very spacious. 15 min walk to the heart of downtown.
Cons: The shower/bathroom space was on the smaller side. I would still definitely stay there again, though!
Pros: The staff was exceptional, the room was gorgeous, the food was outstanding, overall the ambiance was unbeatable. Will definitely stay there again and recommend to all of our friends.
If you're in Asheville and DON'T stay at the Princess Anne Hotel, you have missed the boat - what a find!!!
At Princess Anne Hotel, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Biltmore Estate and Asheville Mall. You'll have free perks like WiFi and self parking. Other features include a terrace and a garden.
When you stay at 1900 Inn on Montford, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Biltmore Estate and Asheville Mall. The spa tub makes for a relaxing end to the day, and freebies like breakfast, WiFi, and self parking are added perks. Rooms at this upscale bed & breakfast offer up nice touches like fireplaces, premium bedding, and bathrobes.
Pros: In room amenities were super and the quality of the appointments and furnishings were top notch. Wonderful soaking tub, beautiful shower, luxurious bedding, and super quiet. I loved that there was quiet air conditioning..not the loud whir of so many hotels.
Cons: The staff in the restaurant were a little undertrained. The service in there was not superb as it was at the front desk and the valet service.
Pros: Great decor

Pros: Loved the property it was so beautiful and well kept!
Cons: The "valet" and front parking area is a little clustered but overall its OK
Pros: The staff is extremely accommodating and the property is beautiful
Cons: The rooms vary greatly! This isn't an issue unless they are all over priced. We had 4 rooms last weekend - all around 400$ a night. They were all different sizes because parts of the hotel are different. The room in the old part of the hotel was barely large enough to walk around a queen size bed.
Pros: exceptional customer service and Facilities
Pros: It was unique and historical.
Cons: It was not what was depicted on the Internet. We were deceived and no one seemed to care. It was dirty, small, and not the romantic get a way we had hoped for to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We called to verify that the pool was included. It was but the pictures online were of the spa pool not the fitness club pool which was $140 more. Instead we spent our visit in the fitness pool. Barley luke warm, filled with screaming kids and no hot tub.
Pros: I love the location and ambience of the resort. You definitely need to have an extra stash of money for the parking and resort fees. Not to mention taxes on the resort fees. But the staff and views from this resort are amazing. There are amazing places very close, food ,shopping , sites to see. I would go back as often as possible.
Pros: The hotel lobby and the grounds
Cons: It was a grade lower than when I stayed 10 years ago.
Pros: We loved everything about our stay at the Grove. The staff was amazing, professional and polite. The food and drinks were top notch. We will definitely be staying here again in the future.
Cons: The room was a bit hot at night even after lowering the temperature in the room.
Pros: The hotel is beautiful and the views are stunning. Just walking into the lobby is immediately calming.
Cons: I was very disappointed (and embarrassed, as staying here with a friend was my suggestion) with the room we were given. It had outdated wallpaper and green carpet, and the furniture was pretty beat-up. The bathroom was spacious, but had a tiny pedestal sink with nowhere for any toiletries. We had to keep all makeup, brushes, toothbrushes, etc on the dresser in the room. The bathroom looked like a hospital bathroom. There were 2 dim lamps in the room, with no mirror (except what looked like a medicine cabinet in the bathroom and a full- length mirror on the bathroom door - not helpful without good lighting). Not comfortable accommodations for two girls getting ready for dinner. Thankfully the beds were very comfortable. We spent over $300 for the room, which truthfully wasn't as nice as the La Quinta I stayed at 2 weeks ago. Based on other reviews, I am sure that there are more updated rooms available. I would insist on being assigned one of those. I will definitely be back to enjoy the beauty of the hotel, but will not be staying there again until they make some much needed updates.
Pros: Atmosphere was romantic, and the staff was helpful. Resort was beautiful, with very vintage-y and comforting style. Sports complex was plentiful, with an indoor pool, lots of tennis courts, weight room, cardio room, and pool tables. Great room bar tenders were quick to greet you, very good cocktails, and friendly.
Cons: We couldnt get in or out of self parking because our card didnt work the entire stay, it was really, really inconvenient because we went out a lot for lunch and dinner. They did credit us the parking fee. This place is definitely not a last minute romantic trip kind of place. You better plan in advance if you want any type of spa services and dinner here. The good thing is, its so close to downtown, there's quite a good amount of restaurants to pick from. Overall, if you are planning to venture out, stay somewhere else. If you plan to fully use the amenities at the resort and stay there most of the time, then it would be worth the money.
Pros: It was beautiful and all of the staff was extremely friendly!
Cons: It's small but you are charged a daily $25 fee for horrible coffee and "internet" which is NOT wifi. If I am going to pay for these extra things, I would expect them to be usable. In the world of smart phones and tablets, who carries a cable to plug into the internet? I have had better perks at a hotel half the price. I really expected more from a resort that is a part of the Omni family.
Pros: The staff couldn't have been more friendly and accomodating. They helped us with resturant plans and Biltmore tours.
We arrived back at our room to find complitmentary cheese and champagne to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary.
The entire ambience takes you back to another time when grand hotels were the place to stay in America.
We didn't avail ourselves of the gym or spa (extra fee) but they looked inviting.
The Grove is fairly close to the Biltmore (perhpas 3 miles?) which is close enough to make travelling back and forth and to downtown Asheville quick and easy but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of both areas.
Cons: As frugal seniors we wouldn't have chosen the Grove for our 40th wedding anniversary becasue of the cost but our children gave us a two night stay. At $400 per night with an additional $15 a night parking fee and $25 facilities use fee I equated it to the airlines and their charing "extra" fees. My opinon, if I'm paying close to $400 a night and not staying in a major cty, I think parking should be included in the price of the room. The room was one with a moutain view, comfortable and clean but. not the luxury I expected at that price. I may be being picky here but there were just two chairs in the room, the bath had only a shower and one sink. The room, with a king bed, was the style you'd find in any Hilton hotel but with a distant view of the mountains. If you stay here I would recommend a less expensive room and use the saved money to treat yourself to the Spa.
We have stayed at the Mohonk Mountain House in NY and for about the same price had a fireplace in the room, trails and climbs on the property and breakfast/dinner included. I also think Monhonk is expensive but I think I'm comparing that inn with the Grove which may be unfair on my part.
So my ONLY dislike was the value for the money but for the special occasion and since "the kids" were paying for it, what more can I say?.
This family-friendly Asheville resort is located in the mountains, within a 15-minute walk of Grovewood Gallery and Grove Park Country Club. Botanical Gardens at Asheville and Grove Arcade are also within 3 mi (5 km).
Cons: My stay at the Inn began with them not letting me and my family up to the property after paying $650 for the room because somehow my reservation was cancelled and they were fully booked (the only available option was a $1,500 suite which they would prefer to turn me an my family away rather than upgrade us into the suite -- I would need to pay the difference for the suite or I was out of luck). So I stood around in the parking lot for an hour with my family while on the phone arguing with their reservation team. They were fully aware that it was our wedding anniversary. We left and went downtown to figure out what we were going to do when they called us back to inform us that they did have a room (clearly they had a room the whole time). When I got to the room I thought surely they would have sent us a cheese plate, a bottle of champagne or a comped dinner for their mistake - nope! Nada. Was very disappointed to have paid $650 for a room and get treated so poorly. I won't return.
Pros: Rooms were beautiful,, the setting sylvan, dining was elegant and the wine was incredible.
When you stay at Inn on Biltmore Estate, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Biltmore Estate and Asheville Mall. Guests can indulge in spa services, and The Library Lounge, one of 2 restaurants, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There's an outdoor pool and a bar/lounge, and rooms at this upscale hotel offer 24-hour room service and LED TVs.
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. A great way to start the morning. I loved that it was served to you not buffet style! Having hor d'oeuvres set out after 5pm was a great touch. The room and house felt home like.
Cons: The guest that took my water from the guest provided refrigerator.
When you stay at Hill House Bed & Breakfast, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Biltmore Estate and Asheville Mall. Free perks include WiFi, self parking, and full breakfast available daily. Rooms at this upscale bed & breakfast offer up nice touches like fireplaces, comfy beds, and bathrobes.
Cons: The booking process through hotels.com didn't work!!! I paid and said I had a confirmation and did t so I paid again when I got there just to get a room. I had to call three times and over 1.5 hours to get a credit that may take 15 days to be credited back to me. RIDICULOUS
Pros: Great location. Great staff. Clean.
Cons: It was very noisy. Lots of traffic noise and lots of noise from the adjoining room
Pros: spacious room, nice rooftop bar with view of the mountains.
Cons: charged for parking, had to move rooms because the remote control blinds wouldn't work.
Cons: Our room wasn't ready when we arrived at 9 pm. Housekeeping walked in our room without knocking at 8:30 AM while we were not dressed. Then housekeeping knocked on our door again at 9:45 AM and again at 11 AM, prior to our 12 PM checkout. I spoke to the front desk and she offered me a free cup of coffee. There was already free coffee in the room. I would have much preferred to actually have had privacy in our room and not bothered by the staff. the staff was rude unaccomodating and closed the bar prior to its stated closing time. We won't stay there again despite frequenting Asheville (in the last 5 months, we have rented luxury hotel rooms 24 nights in downtown Asheville).
Cons: the mattress and pillows were too soft, and left us wanting for a better night sleep.
Pros: It's clean, well appointed, nicely decorated, and all amenities and facilities were of superior quality and construction. The free breakfast was surprisingly very good, and the staff was warm and friendly. I will stay here again, especially given the price.
Cons: One drawback is the location...a few blocks away from the action and attractions of downtown. Shouldn't be a problem for anyone but the very infirm or physically challenged, but it is a consideration. A nearby homeless shelter was also a strange neighbor...but...its Asheville. The city population seems to be mostly homeless people so...
Pros: Great breakfast. Great beds.
Cons: No rooftop bar.
We offer 140 well-appointed guest rooms including 10 Suites and variety of feature room types offering stunning views of the surrounding mountainous landscape. The Montford Rooftop Bar and Lounge offers a cocktail driven social and sensory experience with stunning views of the awe-inspiring scenery of the Appalachian Mountains. The hotel is within 5 minutes walking distance to local shopping and a variety of local restaurants and all things happening the vibrant Downtown Asheville scene.
Pros: Updated hotel. Super clean. Super quiet. Family & senior friendly. Excellent A/C. Well rounded breakfast. Would not hesitate to stay again. Chose this hotel on reviews alone and not disappointed.
Cons: The only quirk I can think of is the toilet flushed unusually loud . But not a deal breaker.
Pros: Good location, friendly staff, great value
Cons: I didn't like their check out policy. If you stay later than 12 noon, you must pay for another night.
Pros: Friendly service
Pros: The front desk staff was very helpful and welcoming.
Cons: My only complaint is that when you cut the bathroom light on, the exhaust fan came on. It was terribly loud and unnecessary.
Pros: How spotless everything was. Breakfast was quite good. The rooms were ideal for children.
Cons: I really don't have anything negative.
Pros: Bed was large. Decent breakfast.
Cons: The place smelled weird.
Pros: Comfy beds, delicious waffles, location
Cons: Bugs in room, outdated, very thin walls, indoor pool was closed, water came out black at first due to maintenance in building.
Pros: The hotel met our needs and more. Was clean, close to sites, quiet, and comofrtable.
Cons: I really don't have a negative comment.
Pros: The hotel was convenient, clean, had a friendly staff and a good breakfast.
Cons: It was a bit difficult to find as it sat back from the road and had a smallish sign. Also, as I am an (outside) cigar smoker, the Smoking Area resembled an outside prison with tall cement walls and no furniture. A chair, table and ashtray would be nice. The hotel did say they were working on it.
Pros: Breakfast was included , nice room, location.
Cons: Price too high
Pros: Breakfast buffet was nice, which the Holiday Inn Exp. doesn't have

Cons: Hearing the noisy plumbing from the two floors above me
Pros: Clean & modern rooms. Beds are very comfortable. Quiet location. Breakfast was very good!
Pros: Comfortable rooms, great staff.
Pros: Great service - the check-in desk receptionist was a delight. The breakfast was healthy. The rooms was quiet and roomy enough for three (including one baby).
Pros: Our stay at Country Inn & Suites was definitely worth the money & time, a highly recommended place to stay!
Pros: Clean, staff friendly, breakfast good and good location.
Pros: Rooms clean and staff helpful. Our last breakfast was busy but the staff were proactive in replacing items, rather than waiting inline for it to come out of the kitchen.
Cons: Things were rather chaotic at our last breakfast - probably most of the hotel guests trying to eat at the same time, which was not down to the hotel.
Pros: Rooms were clean, staff was nice and helpful, liked that there was coffee in the lobby in the morning and it was good.
Cons: The breakfast was not good, the items were not bad, it just didn't taste good, not warm enough, not seasoned correctly, etc. Need a real food person in charge making people say YUM when they eat!
Pros: Clean room, good size, not too bad of a price.
Pros: Hotel very clean, nice staff and ver good breakfast.
Pros: Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Clean rooms.
Cons: Cleaning staff came too early in the morning. No sign to put on door.
Pros: Rooms clean.. staff very helpful.
Cons: Kids in room beside us very loud into the night..

Pros: Nice accommodations, friendly staff, pet friendly, extremely convenient to restaurants and the Orange Peel music venue.
Pros: Comfy beds. Spacious room and bathroom. If you option out of turn down service, you get a 5$ voucher to use in the bar. Awesome way to incorporate staying "green."
Cons: The shower could've used a keener eye during cleaning. But wasn't all too bad. The only issue I had was you could hear not only when a neighbor shut their door, but also the neighboring rooms when theit window blinds are open or shut.
Pros: Everything, no complaints.... Staff is great! Very helpful.
Pros: The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was nice and modern. Right in the heart of downtown Asheville with a nice view.
Cons: The room wasn't very clean. There were questionable spots on the bench that looked like bodily fluid (ew), and stains on the carpet. The room wasn't terribly quiet, and I probably wouldn't have stayed there if I knew they allowed full size dogs.
Pros: The room set up. The location. Comfort.
Cons: We only stayed one night. The light and fan in bathroom were on the same switch, Minor issue.
Pros: The location, the in house bar, the roof top pool, balcony.
Cons: A little pricey for the room, the bathroom was a little difficult to for my girlfiend to get ready in.

Cons: At bit pricey for the location and type of hotel
Pros: Quick and friendly check in. Clean room. Will defiantly stay again.
Pros: One of the nicest Hampton Inn properties. All renovated interior, and well managed. Staff was outstanding.
Cons: If you want to exercise, location leaves a lot to be desired. The neighborhood is not appropriate for running or walking. Need to go elsewhere. While indoor pool is nice, very limited exercise equipment.
Pros: Staff was nice and tried to accommodate the messed up reservation.
Cons: We booked 2 queens and had to take 1 king for a family of four, because our reservations were not there! The worst part was the room smelled Stongly of cigarettes! Not the best Hampton experience.
Pros: Great location not to far from Downtown area. The staff was friendly, room clean, and very comfortable bed. Breakfast area was clean and food was fair with several options.
Cons: The Price -- Payed over $300 for 1 night stay as we decided to go to Asheville last minute. Had a hard time finding a decent room in town, so paid the price. No Hampton is worth $300 a night though.
Cons: The ac in our room made too much noise to sleep.
I was unhappy that I could not receive Hilton honors points since I booked using kayak. I didn't save any money by doing so. It would be nice if Hilton showed the same amount of loyalty to their customers as they expect from them.
Pros: Staff is always very congenial and helpful. Coffee tea & cookies are always a nice touch. Breakfast has always been good.
Cons: Finding a long hair on your bed when you turn it back is never a good sign, but I guess it happens.
Cons: Even though I checked in at 2 pm and was only one of a dozen cars in the parking lot I believe that due to my third party booking with Kayak I was deliberately placed in unit 112 which is a very nice room, but is directly adjoining the very noisy continental breakfast kitchen. The banging and noise started at 4:36 a.m. and even with double ear plugs which I went to my car at 4:50 a.m. to get and the white noise turned up on my cell as loud as it would go the noise was still ridiculous and completely unacceptable. I believe that this is well known by staff and a way to get around the Hampton guarantee by putting 3 rd party bookings in this unit. I intend to chargeback this night due to this on my Visa.
Pros: Advance tickets to the Biltmore Mansion purchased at the hotel.
Cons: Only had two day passes. Should provide one and two day options.
Cons: Not many changes in breakfast on different days, but some people prefer the same meal options every day. Not really big complaint, if a complaint at all.

Pros: Love the staff; Valet-Steven, the catering manager Gunny , sales manager Tammy
Cons: In the bathroom there's not enough counter space to put your toiletries, makeup bag etc when you're getting ready to go out or go to bed.
Cons: Only thing that was not exceptional were the pillows on the bed......they were not comfortable. Hardly enough to complain about though.

Pros: Friendly helpful staff. Good location convenient to downtown
Pros: Great staff
Nice location -- walkable to everywhere downtown
Beautiful, spacious room
Easy in and out
Cons: A bit noisy, with highway/main street traffic
Pros: Good location meant walking distance to all of downtown Asheville as well of easy highway access. Staff was friendly, and the hotel had a hip, modern feel.
Cons: Cost was high for lack of amenities. Modern design lacked some warmth as well as function. Created a louder atmosphere in a bad way, Doors closing on the floor we stayed could be heard at all hours. Really nothing to 'do' at the hotel so why was the price as high as others in the same area with full bars, restaurants and pools?
Pros: I loved the view in our "view" room. The hotel staff were very friendly and the room was so spacious, clean, and comfortable! Bed was amazing, floors were super clean, and the whole experience was amazing. My girlfriend was very happy, and so it made our getaway wonderful. The walking distance to downtown was also one of our favorite features of the hotel. It was definitely worth it.
Cons: The only thing that held me back a little was the price. I paid $240 with taxes included, and didn't get as high of a floor as we wanted (4th), but it was very quiet and you couldn't really hear the traffic below so it was all good. I would definitely stay again. Knowing this room goes for $400+ on the weekends made me appreciate the value we were getting as well. It was definitely a wonderful experience.

Pros: Very nice hotel w pleasant staff and pleasant accomadations
Pros: Comfortable beds
Cons: Water pressure in shower was poor
Pros: Hotel was clean; well appointed; excellent staff who are very helpful and professional; good location--convenient to all major attractions and also downtown Asheville. Breakfast was good quality with many items to choose from and all were well prepared. Rooms were large with multiple areas for both sleeping and relaxing.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike. We had no complaints.
Pros: The room had windows that could open and a door leading to a small balcony; these made the room airier and lighter.
Cons: We were told we could not take our breakfast poolside because of fears that food would get into the water. But the evening before several families were having snacks/dinner/drinks on the tables and in the gazebo near the pool. A little consistency is in order. If you want families as well as couples to be welcomed fully on a hot summer day, you need to be a bit more flexible in your policy.
Pros: The staff was outstanding and friendly. Used meeting room for biz. Quiet. Clean rooms
Cons: Standard corporate Holiday Inn Express breakfast bar. All Holiday Inns need to up their game and improve the quality and taste of breakfast. With that said, the Holiday Inn Asheville was exceptional.

Pros: the breakfast was outstanding. the bed and the room were really comfortable. the staff extremely friendly and easy to work with for my special needs. the manager, an Indian, top of the line
Cons: Too expensive for me to stay very often
Cons: Could not acquire stay points with reservation
Guests will enjoy free continental breakfast featuring hot fresh waffles. Hotel amenities include a seasonal outdoor pool and guest welcome center with access to computer and high speed internet. Spacious guest rooms include high speed internet access, refrigerators, microwaves, coffee, hair dryers and irons, ironing boards. Non-smoking Hotel. Pet Accommodation: 2 pets per room, 25.00 USD per pet per night for the first two nights and then the charge will be 10.00 USD per pet for each additional night per stay.
Pros: Hotel is old and needs updating. Overpriced. Bed was the worst we had ever slept in. TV didn't work. Room was noisy. We were on the 6th floor and could still hear anything that went on in the street. I would not recommend this hotel. Worst part was when I told the front desk about these problems they did not seem to care.
Pros: The staff was fantastic! Very accommodating of a late checkout when we got stuck at an event. Top notch!
Pros: The location can't be beat in downtown Asheville.... Walking distance to the festivals, restaurants, bars, etc 1-5blocks away. Rooms are nice, comfortable, modern decor. Lobby is sophisticated yet not stuffy.
Cons: Barn door to the bathroom is stylish but doesn't provide much privacy or noise limitations when in the bathroom.
Pros: The location in downtown Asheville is great, within walking distance of many restaurants, breweries and shops. The lobby is modern and nice and the staff was very helpful. Free in-room Wi-Fi is nice, albeit a little slow
Cons: You can tell this is an older hotel that has been remodeled. The bathroom was tiny and not very well lit. The bathroom door didn't latch and the TV reception was poor. We also had to request an extension cord because there were no outlets by the bed to plug a phone in overnight.
Pros: We liked Charles from room service. He was fast and mannerly.
Cons: This hotel is geared towards businesses and a place for wedding parties. There are charges to make a local call, charges to connect you to a taxi service and a $50 charge is added to your credit card that remains there for 3-5 business days after you've cleared your account. I understand some hotels have this practice, but I was not told the hotel would charge my account in this manner. When I found the charge on my credit card, I had to call the hotel and hang on for many minutes until someone could explain to me what the charge was for. Also, the navigator wasn't too knowledgeable about the surrounding area. The in-hotel restaurant is mediocre but charges $12.00 for a buffet breakfast that is one level above the continental breakfast served at Hampton Inns. I'd skip breakfast at this hotel and go downtown to a great coffee house. We only used the restaurant because we were given 2 $20 vouchers (included in our package). The breakfast wound up costing us $24 + a tip for greek yogurt and fruit. I would not recommend this hotel as my first choice.
Pros: Location, general comfort, capable staff.
Cons: Noisy vending area right outside the door; unattached drain cover in the tub; tub faucet handle awkward to operate; main door handle also didn't operate smoothly. For $200+ I expected more attention to detail.
Cons: Decor too modern for my taste, very stiff visually and functionally in common areas
Pros: the bed.
Cons: the pillows.

Pros: Great staff, beautiful building, great rooms, best pillows, and good location from downtown and mountains.
Pros: Quite, clean friendly staff
Pros: The location was great - 10 minutes to Biltmore, downtown Asheville, or BBQ. Once they finish their renovations I'm sure it will look better. In fairness, they warned me when I booked the room. The room was comfortable, but the bed was too hard for my taste.
Cons: Stains on the carpet, bed was too hard, renovations began at 8:00 AM, elevator didn't work the first day.
Pros: Very well maintained
Pros: I like the general feel of this hotel. This was my second stay. I like the decor and the staff. It's more than you expect really from a hotel off an Interstate. Big Owls served good food and adult beverages. The hot breakfasts were very good.
Cons: No report. Liked everything.
