Situated on the banks of the Burguillo Embalse Lake, the Posada del Agua has a pretty setting. It features a traditional Spanish restaurant and stylish rooms with flat-screen TVs. The Posada features bright, contemporary décor with wooden floors. The spacious rooms have a desk, bathrobe and a hairdryer in the bathroom. Some rooms offer views of the lake. The guest house has a bar and lakeside terrace, which both offer impressive views of the surrounding mountains and countryside. There is a small beach set next to the hotel and the Valle de Iruelas Park is set just across the lake. Local activities include fishing, horse riding and hiking. Staff at the Posada can provide information on the area and several walking and driving routes through the park.
Pros: The views and the staff
Pros: Location is fabulous! Nice friendly family business. Artisan food, wine, beers. Good standard food all locally sourced. Modern 'boutique' styling. Hidden off road parking.
Cons: Everything was good but not sure I felt it was worth the price we paid for every part of it compared to other places we have stayed in Spain
Pros: Beautiful setting. Peaceful. Very Spanish. Lovely staff. Great find.
Pros: Cool temperature and interior. Lake swimming pleasant. A ‘buzz’ at the weekend due to Madrid folk . Good wine and craft beer
Pros: The staff were excellent. We do not speak Spanish, ashamed to say but staff went the extra mile to make us comfortable. Translating menu into English with mobile phone. The young man who served us at breakfast and dinner was excellent. Sorry we did not get your name.
Cons: Bring put into room 3 flights of stairs,no lift. My husband is 74 years of age, luggage not heavy but steep stairs. Especially as we were only guests in hotel. Also as we were in roof space no view of lake. Disappointed in choice of room given.
Pros: It was beyond beauitful! Such a friendly staff, amazing view and great food.
Pros: Absolutely lovely place and wonderful staff! The rooms have wonderful views and the location is sublime.
Cons: Would have loved to try the lovely yogurt advertised on the walls :) Perhaps having drinking water, coffee/tea facilities that could be accessed overnight when there is no one around. Other than that, perfect place!
Pros: Amazing location, rooms are lovely!
When you stay at Rusticae El Hotelito in Navaluenga, you'll be next to a golf course, within a 5-minute drive of San Isidro Chapel and Navaluenga Roman Bridge. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The decoration
Pros: Stayed over because we were attending a wedding in the town. Staff were fantastic and offered us a drive to the wedding venue. Parking was very easy. The rooms were luxurious with a great shower and comfortable bed.
Pros: Simple, yet comfortable, clean and well presented. Excellent breakfasts and very helpful proprietor/staff.
Cons: Unable to control the AC so room a little warm at night.
Pros: The owners and staff of El Hotelito provide superb hospitality. The rooms are spotless, modern, and very comfortable. I stayed in a room with a terrace, which was spacious and relaxing and looked over a horse farm, with beautiful mountains in the background. Meals at the restaurant are simple and fresh, very good. Breakfast is superior to most other hotels' breakfasts in Spain. El Hotelito clearly goes the extra mile to appeal to a variety of tastes. The experience at El Hotelito, overall, is fantastic!
Cons: The WiFi does not function in the rooms, which is the only drawback. In the lobby, I was usually able to connect to WiFi, so had to plan to go downstairs to send emails and use the internet. This makes it complicated to keep up with business while staying at El Hotelito, but would not be an impediment if I were planning a vacation there.
The accommodation offers a shared kitchen and free WiFi. At Hostal Maury, all rooms come with a wardrobe. Guests at the guest house will be able to enjoy activities in and around El Barraco, like cycling. Avila is 27 km from Hostal Maury, while El Tiemblo is 19 km away.
Pros: It was a very spacious apartment, not what we were expecting.
Cons: It was a bit out of the way and we had problems booking in.
Hotel Restaurante El Chato is located in the village of El Barraco, close to the Burguillo Reservoir. It features simply decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi and private bathrooms. The hotel has a rustic style-restaurant, which serves regional cuisine and specialises in lamb and baby goat dishes. The centre of El Barraco is only 500 metres from the hotel. Here you can find a variety of bars and restaurants. The area is ideal for hiking, horse riding and canyoning. Ávila is 25 km from El Chato while Madrid is 100 km away.
Pros: The owners and the location.
Cons: The access to the rooms. Noise from another room.
Pros: Clean, large room.
Cons: I was unsure if I had pre-paid for my stay. On arrival I was charged for the nights stay, then the owner said 'Remember to claim back from Booking.com, say you never stayed here. That way I do not loose booking comission'. Then he tried to sell me a €5,000 brand new bicycle at half price. I will be taking this up with Booking.com, not their fault at all.
Pros: Easy parking. Nice rooms, own bathroom.
Cons: Could be better marked. Need a working phone to contact staff to get in. No common area, kitchen, computers.
