Friendly, helpful staff. Good dinner and breakfast buffet for a reasonable price. Bus station just in front of hotel. Comfortable guestroom.
I arrived after 10PM in the station of St Louis. No Taxi was available, I called the Hotel and they came to pick me up!!!!!!!!!! Super People!!!!!!!
Good with internet access included in the room fee.
Central, easy to find, good parking facilities
clean, better than a normal 3 star hotel. Large room and bathroom, but breakfast needs some improvement. For the money we paid, this is good enough. location...hard to find the hotel. There are signs all over the places. Once you realize this, it was easy to spot.
Good choice and value for the money.
Great hotel, except for the shower shield... As it often happens, the glass shield for the shower was too small... It's almost impossible not to flood the room while showering!! Architects never take showers!
Location Very poor room noise
It's located in the very center of the town, they offered to change my room immediately when i asked it, polite staff and receptionists Everything was out of order (satTV, Saunas), the tradition room was tiny and changed it. Poor quality breakfast although there was a good selection
value for money ! excellent breakfast. Although in the city centre, easy accessible via het parking (which is cheap for overnight stay)
staff heplfulness, the hotel position too small double bed
friendly staff, excellent location, good breakfast buffet The room was smaller then i expected.
The hotel had a good central location, and the room was good value for money.
Value for money as Roi Soleil normally is - good economic stop off for business in Basle (only 30 mins). Non smoking hotel which is good (for me) - in Summer get room off the ground floor so you can open window and opposite side of building from afternoon sun (no aircon)
Overall a nice and comfortable stay. The rooms were not soundproof, you could hear everything going on in the adjacent rooms and the hallway. Expensive breakfast considering its variety.
It's ideal to visit Mulhouse and its museums. It's easy to reach by car and it's located in a calm district. Good breakfast. Some spot on the fitted carpet.
Friendly reception. English spoken. Clean and comfortable. Excellent value for money, by far the best hotel in France I have stayed at in this price range. Location easy to find with a large number of shops nearby. I have since stayed at this hotel again.
Clean and quite room. good breakfast.
Easy parking We had been invaded by flies because the hotel is located close to a chicken's farmer.
We did not like anything about the hotel. We reserved a non-smoking room but did not get one and we had to have the window oopen all night as the mattress, pillows, everything was saturated in smoke. It was very cold at night but we could not breathe properly due to the strong odor of smoke. We felt ill but they told us the hotel was fully booked after we checked in but we had reserved a non-smoking room.
It is our fourth stay at the Hotel, we appreciate its position (good if you come from, or have to cross Switzerland) its calm and cleanliness. Breakfast is also ok. Absence of a lift. People with reduced mobility will have to choose the ground floor (more noisy).
Easy access to motorway and excellent value for money when compared with other budget hotels. Everything was clean and worked well. Breakfast was ample and there was a decently sized room in which to eat it without feeling that it needed to be rushed.
We stayed here en route to Italy from Calais and the hotel was fairly convenient for that purpose only. Breakfast was OK. The beds are small and not very comfortable. No extra pillows provided. It was a pretty dismal experience really - inferior to UK budget hotels.
Housekeeping made each day, towels and sheets changed everyday, really pleasant and efficient staff. Central situation of the hotel in the heart of the town, excellent insulation from noises of the city, thanks to efficient great windows. The breakfast is worth spending 6,15 EUR. (price of septembre 2015) Nothing i can remember.
Reception staff were very helpful
Friendly staff, airport shuttle it was difficult to contact the hotel once we arrived at the airport
The staff were very friendly and always willing to help.
Friendly staff, easy of reach from the airport Acustic isolation (you can hear the airplanes), but it is not too serious, since there are no flight during the night
Very convenient for its location (5 min drive to the Euroairport) and free airport shuttle. Furthermore, it's clean, friendly and comfortable - very good value for money.
The convenience to the euroairport and the free shuttle service. The food was of good quality and reasonably priced. The rooms were clean and of comfortable size. Nice helpful English speaking reception staff. I would always use this hotel for my overnight stay and have used it once before. I have no negative views on this Hotel
the hotel was very comfortable, rooms a little small but nevertheless quite satisfactory
The hotel shuttle was quick to pick me up at airport with an English speaker. Hotel was a good value for the money particularly since the shuttle is free if you just need a place to stay for one night. Bed comfortable but more blankets are needed in cold months. The web site does not state that they are located in France. When I received confirmation I immediately had to cancel my reservation thinking that I had book the wrong Captain Hotel. Then I had to call Booking.com and they explained and re-instated it. The tv emitted a bright blue light that wouldn't shut off and became very bright as it got darker. Room was very cold upon arrival and took too long to heat up. Dark halls until you find light switches.
nice staff, clean and nice room, good breakfastm starts at 4,00am - very flexible for travellers.
Free parking and shuttle service to/from airport, offering much better deal than official airport car park especially for trips over a week with an early departure.
Easy access of the hotel, friendly staff, tidy and well-equipped room, good price.
Value for money Poor breakfast
I have been impressed by the excellent service received and the low room price. Also the hotel owned parking was very comfortable nearby. The prices for food in the restaurant were too high.
We stayed on a stop-over between England and Italy, and found the hotel conveniently situated to the motorway, with very accomodating (we were late checking-in) and friendly staff. We enjoyed a good breakfast on the terrace, and the rooms were comfortable and clean.
The Hotel Kyriad Mulhouse Nord Illzach was a very friendly place. The room met my expectations as well.
Friendly, helpful staff - excellent restaurant - great value for money in clean, compact family friendly room.
Ideal place for an overnight stay enroute to Italy, clean room, pleasant staff, good breakfast, very good value and close to main autoroutes into Switzerland and France.
We were given a warm welcome and had all the facilities of the hotel explained. There was free Wi-Fi. There was a good selection at breakfast time. Although the rooms are non-smoking, there was a smell of stale cigarette smoke, and the carpets could have been cleaner.
comfort of the beds and the very friendly hotel staff no
Very convenient, just off motorway. We use this hotel when travelling between England and Italy. Beautiful town, lots of flowers, rather quiet.Convenient parking in front of hotel.
Great helpful service, nice room, good food-a very happy guest
A good hotel for people on the route between Germany and France. A little difficult to find.
easy to locate, good restaurant on site, easy walking distance to village of Ottmarsheim, quiet location, inexpensive but value for money, English spoken smaller room than other hotels booked on our tour but was adequate for overnight stay
Helpfull and efficient staff that were capable of arrangeing our stayover very promtly and accurate.
Good location on edge of small village - but close to main routes. No locks on bathrooms.
No Restaurants! Better you eat in Neuenburg/Germany (5 min by car).
Much cheaper than staying in Basel. Hard to find.
The breakfast buffet they only had one cot for infants and it was already taken, therefore my 2 year old had to sleep in a full size bed with us.
Colorful, friendly and comfortable No bar, very limited food
No frills basic hotel, bed, toilet, sink & shower. Adequate for an overnight stop. Interesting car-related lobby/breakfast room. I booked 5 rooms of which one the shower didn't work and another the sink leaked.
fine for over night stay but as is in a commercial centre not for a holiday. no UK tv stations but small clean room and very good breakfast, well worth the 6 euro. Far better than Formula 1. Nearby restaurant fair but not budget, does have a buffet first course if you are hungry.
nice stuff room is too small, especially for 3 people
The best thing about Enzo was the breakfast. I enjoyed the different breads and cheese selections that were offered. When my husband and I walked into our room, it felt like we walked into a walk-in closet. The room was so tiny we could barely move around, and it was hard to fit our luggage in there. The bathroom was even worse. In order to use the bathroom, you had to sit sideways on the toilet because there was no room. The shower drain was also clogged. The pictures are very decieving. Our overall stay there was horrible.
Clean, new and lovely bathroom. Good quality and clean. The rooms were very small! The website said I could check in at the counter up until 9pm on a Sunday but the reception was closed at 8pm. a little frustrating when you are wanting to pay by cash!
too small room. On the pictures it seems a lot bigger but rooms are 12m2 maximum.
Hotel is designed in a very fashion way, I like it very much. Staff was good, rooms was very clean. Location is a little out of town
Very helpful and friendly staff, clean, free internet and free parking in front of the hotel. Where to start...
It is centrally located and very reasonable The air conditioning in the two rooms I booked did not work and it was incredibly hot/humid in the room. It is not possible to sleep with the windows open as the road noise outside is too much to sleep.
Central to the town and ease of access to all of the local facilities Finding the hotel was a bit tricky and the parking was on a different street to the entrance (although secure).
Helpful staff. Comfortable room, superb breakfast!
Proche centre ville, propreté, chambre spacieuse. le petit déjeuner médiocre et trop cher, le parking en plein air payant,
Good location, right price and friendly staff.
the hospitality and prefoessionalism oif the staff, as well as the good breakfast and the clean rooms. Th eparking faility was also ok Not really
Burned lightbulbs, poor TV-reception, flooding bathroom (no shower curtain, ... . To my opinion, this room was not ready for check in.
Central location, close to the railway station, tram, cheap restaurants.
The room smelt really bad. It took us about 2 days after we left to wash the stench off of us.
Quick and easy, good price room could be better decorated
Helpful staff Good parking
the friendliness , kind , and helpful service. Excellent breakfast. rooms are a little cramped , but we expect that in europe.Sorry, on question below, did not read reviews
Th hotel room was very nice, much better than what I had expected based on the hotel rating. So I was really positively surprised. In addition the hotel offered free internet access and the staff was very helpful!
The triple room we had was considered very small for 2 star status and price that we paid.
There is no air conditioner. The room is very hot in summertime, just be ready.
There is a fridge, kitchen.large room.close to the tram stop.Staff was very kind
Hotel was clean and offered room at excellent price. If you want a palace pay more money. Bar staff did not want to serve us a drink at 11pm
accessibility to the city was good. food was also good.
Close to airport
curtains did not cover the complete window, so it was not completely dark to sleep.
Clean & Tidy No
dimension of room, frigo No air conditioning room very hot
This kind of hotel looks really a nice concept. The room wath comfortable and offering much more things than what was advertised on the site. The water for shower was cold although my room was just straight over the hot water tank and I waited 6mn for hot water to come.
Good value studio for nights two and three of our stay, with air-conditioning (see comments below) We complained to the receptionist during the first evening about the intense heat in our non-air-conditioned studio with large windows and under a flat roof. We were assured it would be cool at night. After a night of suffocating heat, in spite of small fan, a different receptionist moved us to the air-conditioned room the next day and admitted to a serious design fault in part of the block.
Sorry couldn't find anything we liked about the hotel, except it had a secure garage. Rooms where not modern and large as in the discription on the internet, The room was small with no comforts at all, although I will say sheets and towels were clean. Floor uneven and room very dark and not invitng at all, really disapointed, but glad it was only a 1 night stop over.
Great staff - assisted with providing directions to local market. Very helpful with a great attitude.
It's quiet in the area, service is good. In the 4-bed room the possability that you can make thea of coffie. For us it was not fine that the breakfast on sunday was only til 8.15 instead of 7.15. We wanted to leave about 08.00 hours becouse we had a long way to go.
ok for one night stopover. apartment was a good size but very very basic. cleanliness was not good food from previous guests splattered on the walls. Not nice!!
Was basic but fairly clean. Very difficult to find this hotel. It is in the middle of a very intricate traffic system and the sat nav sent us into an underground car park which was a nightmare. will not rush back due to this.
The reception staff were always available. The beds and linen were well changed. Breakfast available for a long period. I would have liked a drawer in the table.
The staff was very polite and helpfull. The location is perfect - very close to the city centre, just a few crossroads. An ideal place for a short stay. In front of the hotel there is a public parking, for which you should pay during the day. However, we were offered with a special place for our car at the back of the hotel, which was safer and free at the time of our visit.
Central location, pleasant staff.
excellent staff and breakfast none
the staff as nice, he breakfast good the rooms were very oldy. without any style
Great value for money and staff were helpful and pleasant
The hotel is friendly and conveniently located near the city centre. There was a WC and washbasin in the room, with a shower room available along the corrider. I was able to store my bicycle under cover in the rear courtyard. The breakfast supplied comprised a glass of orange juice, a croissant, three slices from a baguette, some butter and jam, and tea or coffee. The charge for this was 7 Euros.
Staff were verey accomadating and friendley, room verey clean quiet and comfortable No coffee making facilities in our room
None. To many to name, unfortunately.
It was in the centre very convenient The staff were exceedingly helpful even laying on a breakfast for me at 4:30 in the morning I cannot say enough about the staff they were excellent No shower in the room
Reseption is not open until 23:30 as told. In the middle of the night we were just outside and afraid...
An inexpensive overnight stopover point. Would use it again but prefer a Hotel that is staffed 24hrs. Decent value for money so can't really complain. Had some difficulty understanding the electronic check in process.
No hot water, hot stuffy room, no breakfast available sunday morning
There aren't any Room was extremely hot and noisy, standard of fittings extremely poor, bathroom was smelly and hardly enough room to move.
Cheap and cheerful, what one expects for a brief stopover and sleep. Have stopped here a few times now but hate the electroic check in process. I struggle with it every year and it never recognises my credit card. At my last visit I could not use it but fortunately the counter was staffed.
Terible smell, dirty
Cheap and convenient to motorway Restaurant was closed from 3pm Saturday. No breakfast available Sunday
Great price for suche good facilities
It was clean. Dark and un-inviting. Only one small towel in the bathroom for two adults. Poor booking process and it was only luck that we got in.
Room clean but very small, No one spoke english which made it very difficult
An excellent hotel. We booked 3 rooms which were very well appointed and comfortable. We only needed an overnight stop but I can see that this is an ideally placed hotel for visiting Basel especially if you are a family. Well priced for a couple or family but rather expensive for us as we were 3 lady travellers. Don't be put off by the exterior the rooms are very pleasant.
As I do business in Basel, this hotel is very close to publik transport to Basel Swiss. none
the location of the hotel worked well for us There were lots of things we didn't not like about the hotel. The apartment we rented provides a very tight space if you use it for 4 people like us. The kitchen is less than basic (no toaster) and the bathroom doesn't provide enough space to put things. You have to ask for a hairdryer. The baby cot we were provided didn't come with any bedding and the hotel doesn't have any central heating. Our rooms were heated by electric radiators and you had option sauna or freeze - no happy medium. When asking for 2 extra blankets only one sheet could be provided. WiFi didn't work either - and help with staff's poor English not available. For a brand new hotel interior and decor looked rather tatty and we had to pay an extra fee for staff tidying room
The location of the hotel really worked for us. Please see my previous review as it applies again.
Warm, clean, spacious apartment located just a few minutes from the city center by tram or bus (the saint louis station is only 200 meters from the hotel). Great Price-Quality relation! 80€ (plus tax) for 1apartment per night (2 people sleep in the bedroom and 2 in the livingroom) Don't forget the city tax! Four people, one bathroom!
Value for Money. Front desk staff spoke good English. Nice parking facilities. Short drive to the EuroAirport. Simple and nice interiors. If you are planning to visit Basel or travel via Euro Airport, this is a very good place to stopover/stay. I recommend this hotel. I had my doubts on the cleanliness of the flooring (light carpet). Would be nice if the hotel management cleans the room flooring using carpet cleaners. But note, this would be a problem only if you have infant (As in my case) who likes to crawl and walk around and then might pick up the dirt from the floor. Otherwise this is not a big deal for others.
Close to swiss border. Easy to get around Parking situation was bad
The Citea Saint Louis is very convenient for Basel, with connections to the Basel tram system less than 100m away. It is very basic but clean, so if you are simply looking for a base from which to explore the city or do business, then this is an option worth considering. While the accommodation is intended to be basic, it was a little too basic for me. I soulless blank box, in anonymous surroundings. The pool is pretty useless; a dipping pool rather than a swimming pool. A bleak experience for the solo traveller, brightened only by the friendly, intelligent and helpful staff.
skip breakfast and you find yourself a fine hotel
Location - near to Basel Tram Not enough power points near the bed; no tea/coffee in room
We stayed just for one night and we have no complaints from the hotel. Very convenient if you have a morning flight from Basel-Mulhouse airport.
Recently renovated, the hotel is bright and clean. Everything freshly painted in bright(ish) colours. Breakfast was fair, but not overpriced.Staff were very friendly and helpful. You'll need to speak some French... Not really
(a) Close to the trainstation (3minutes), (b) internet free of charge.
it is 3min walk from Saint Louis Train station. The location is great if you travel there. Very convenient to go to Basel.
Exelent help and local input from the lady on reception, bus times, restaurants etc. Great bus service No 11 from just by hotel to airport. We could not get the wi fi going on my PC, it worked at every other hotel on my 5 stop trip, but not here.
Location and kind receptionst.
It was very convenient for Basle (which was the reason for our visit but in terms of value for money was much better then the Basle hotels I checked. very nice and very good value for money. No Not really. It was only an overnight stay but for our purposes it was perfect.
The Hotel was very comfortable and in an excellant location close to the city and the rail station
Pleasant reception chap. Clean bathroom. Comfortable bed. Restaurant closed on Saturday night when we arrived late and were relying on it. Vastly overpriced breakfast. Cost of breakfast should be included in the room rate. Nowhere secure to park a car that would not fit in the underground car park. We were given two double rooms when we had booked a double and a twin.
Good hotel, free parking & internet one elevator was not working, during check-out it was a mess (off course maintenance must happen sometimes)
Generally satisfactory, the level being what I would expect of a Mercure. My non-smoking room had a strong odor of cigarette smoke. Since the window was open I assumed the service personnel also detected it. A deodorizer would have been helpful. Due to the location, a certain amount of exterior noise was unavoidable.
comfort, facilities (close to the trainstation, public transports), staff
The hotel was very clean. The room could use an update.
This hotel was excellent, last year I stayed in another hotel in Mulhouse an me an others guests were rob and it was an inside job, a combination of the staff and people fromoutside.
The sheets were clean, the shower worked fine. The booking in process was awful. We asked for lots of help and the woman in charge was very helpful, thank god we found her or we would still be trying to access our booking on the touch screen book in service.
Clean. Rooms on 4th floor cannot get hot water for washing for half an hour first thing in the morning. The management and staff know this but say nothing to guests unless they complain and then do not apologize but merely say, "The boiler's in the basement and too expensive to move. You'll just have to keep running the taps till eventually hot water makes it up the 4th Floor." Totally unacceptable!!
Clean room. We were woken up at 7.00 am by a group of people drinking tea and coffee outside the room, it seemed they were having a party....bastards!
Price. Convenience of Location Very poor condition of room, broken items including bathroom divider, vents , light fitting. Lack of electrical sockets. Not enough lighting. The fact that the bathroom was divided by only a (broken) folding door.Cigarette burns all over the bathroom basins.
wifi gratuit bathroom is to small a lot of loudness
closed to a36,parking with security camera.
Easy to find, restaurant facilities nearby and helpful staff.
Automatic incheck possible Nothing
It was nice for a short business trip. The automatik reception is great!
Secure parking is a plus, friendly and helpful staff, a good restaurant and nice buffet breakfast. A little difficult to find but once there a quaint village
Good place for stay during long travel across europe
Good food. Interesting old building on the heart of little village. Friendly stuff.
