The bathroom was a good spec. Good to have sky movies Nothing - good value for the price
Everything Bed was somewhatr soft, causing damage to back
Modern but not overpowering. No surprises. Everything was as stated in the information provided in the website. The stuff was very friendly and informative. Overall, a very good experience. Will definitely use this hotel again
staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and nice. there are many stairs and no elevators and this was a little difficult for my parents to navigate with their luggage
The staff were all very nice and friendly. The hotel is very close to the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases, which is why we chose it. My wife is an outpatient at this hospital, and disabled. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful. The beds were comfortable too.
bacon and scrambled eggs at breakfast - excellent!!!! Very good coffee, too. Room felt like home from home - quirky, spread out on several levels so didn't feel claustrophobic despite being quite small. V. helpful reception staff. Would have liked food service beyond c.9pm as i was working late.
I like the modern decor in the hotel. That the car park was about a 5-10 walk away from the hotel.
The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The location was brilliant. Small but comfortable, well furnished rooms. It was a bit hot in the room but I just adjusted the heating and opened the window for a bit. A little street noise overnight.
The hotel was really central, the rooms were super clean and well presented, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was really good.
Very friendly staff. Brilliant central location.
Location, very close to the centre The shower didn't work
The English Breakfast The room we were alllocated was very small and cold. Can't help feeling we were given this room because the room rate was lower than usual. Will not be recommending this hotel
closeness to town centre, breakfast good and service was fair. Rooms were clean Hotel was very much in need of renovation - bits of plaster falling off ceilings and walls, bathroom ceiling looked as if it was about to fall through. Decor in need of updating. Double room very small and claustrophobic.
We loved the location, just a short stroll to the shops and attractions. The room was clean and comfortable.
Good standard of cleanliness and friendlyness of staff Not really adequate heating (very cold weather)
Small budget hotel in fabulous location. For 2/3 star rating this was excellent value for money. Would definitely stay here again! Small bar fridge would be great but not a great deterrent.
It was very roomy and after our negative experience in our last hotel we felt we were now in the Waldorf. Easy walk into Bath. Very comfortable breakfast room. Shower knob was bit hard to turn.
Beautiful Georgian house in a most central location in the amazing city of Bath. No
location, helpfulness of staff stairs!
Staff were very friendly, very cosy room and loved the character The employee responsible for breakfast seemed to be running late- I was directed by reception downstairs to the breakfast area but the door was locked just after 7.30am. It took her a while to have everything out and ready, I needed to eat breakfast quickly as I had to check out so felt quite rushed in the end as there was not much choice.
Staff were very helpful and eager to please. Sitting in the garden in the early evening sunshine to have a drink before dinner was extremely pleasant. Food, especially dinner, was average.
Decent sized room, quiet and comfortable. The hotel also had good parking which was hard to find in Bath hotels. It is not necessarily a problem but sitting at breakfast I did wonder if I had wandered into an old folks home by mistake. This may, of course, partially account for how quiet it was.
Recently renovated the room was stylish, elegant yet the facilities such as bathroom (which was very big) were modern and up to date. Having our own little courtyard with french doors was charming. The breakfast was lovely and it was nice to have the hot food freshly prepared, even taking the rind of the bacon! Need to be ambulant as there it is a bit of labyrinth with numerous stairs. The only other comment is that the carpet in the common area (landing) on the 2nd floor needs replacing as it has a bit of an odour.
Efficiently welcomed at Reception - useful advice re parking, transport to town. Additional item provided at breakfast on request Room quiet and comfortable - hotel a beautiful Georgian building Ordered a newspaper - this not supplied Room was very far distant from reception, and a good deal of stair climbing involved
The bed was extremely comfortable, breakfast was plentiful and fresh Long walk to room but it is a large hotel!
The reception staff were friendly and helpful and the location was really good for the city of Bath. The bed was also clean and comfortable. it was not clean. The lift was small, cramped and the doors were filthy. The room had cobwebs and the towels had stains on them before use. the iron and ironing board did not work and when reception brought a spare the base of the iron was too dirty to use. On departure a leak in the roof dripped on our luggage. unacceptable.
the room was very spacious and comfortable. It was also a good distance from the town, not too far, but far enough away that we weren't caught up in any late night revellers.
Staff and breakfast was excellent The lift needs a make over the door is not pleasant to look at. Some areas of the hotel need to be freshened up.
Lovely building, pleasant staff and room 'Tired' quality of restaurant dinner
the welcome was very warm and friendly, staff were very helpful and pleasant. It's on the top of a very steep hill !!!!. But there is bus
Well positioned classic hotel with character and charm. Friendly staff, comfortable interesting rooms. Dinner was excellent and is well worth including.
The hotel is well located for a visit to Bath. The actual building is in need of renovation to bring it up to standard for its class.
Speed of service
Pleasant staff. Central location Very poor state of decoration. Shabby. Wallpaper peeling in our bathroom, fixed with sellotape. General neglect. Noisy at night(taxi rank nearby). On both nights we were woken several times.
nothing - I had to complain twice - relieved to book out
it was where i wanted to be in that aera. yes the fact that on arriving you have to book in at the bar with all the drinkers looking on. I thought that that was realy very poor.
None Building needs a lot attention to bring it up to current modern standards.Fixtures and fittings are very old and run down. Our room had a very stale and musty smell.Being a front room traffic noise was very disturbing and went on through the night, making sleep difficult
The manager and staff and the locals were very friendly and helped me out as much as they could. The room was huge with one of the biggest four poster beds I've ever seen! Despite having the 'best' room, when I first arrived the heating did not work (later fixed and was fine), there was a hole in one of the windows, the light went flickered and went out in the bathroom and the bath panel was hanging off! Also the menu was very limited and very basic - such as you could either have chips or mash (which was instant) and there were no healthy options, plus the only vegetarian dish was a vegetable lasagne.
Breakfast that was served was hot. Very cold in room and not very clean, the dining room was freezing and they did not serve any hot meals on sunday evenings.
It was the most conveniently located accommodation for my visit There was an interim manager in the day before we arrived and stock had not been replenished and he was covering with a shortage of staff.
Friendly staff and good service
The staff were friendly , the food was excellent and a very reasonable price . The room had everything you needed and good value for money
The rooms were clean In the weekends it is very noisy. There was no breakfastbuffet. The breakfast was in the pub, tables not clean
Only stayed 1 night and left ater a great breakfast Not really, very old but very clean
ideal location to walk into city
Friendly and very caring staff service.Charming Owners .We Enjoyed our stay..You get wat u pay for..really nice hotel..would definately recommend all.
the room was clean and the bed comfortable the room was very over priced. the kettle had to be boiled on the floor as there was no socket near the table it was set up on. there were no complimentary items in the bath room. the room basic and tacky.
Very pleasant place to stay
Good location, and quiet. Staff very friendly and hotel clean and good value for money, shame i did not have time to use the hot tub/pool. Very friendly staff and would stay again
the friendly welcome, the food was excellant, nothing was too much trouble.
Rooms are quite small, bathroom very small.
Friendly staff, convenient
Really nice room and a good filling breakfast.
Warm welcome and very friendly atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfasts certainly set you up for the day!!! Nothing is too much trouble. Would go there again.
Listed as a small double there was ample space for a single person
Food and friendliness No mobile phone reception
Very welcoming staff, and the food was superb. Furniture could do with a little modernising. But this is really nitpicking, as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The locals in the bar were friendly. The evening dinner was appalling and the place is ridiculously overpriced for what is, basically, a B&B in the middle of nowhere.
home from home. staff and locals very friendly great views, peaceful location but central for sights.
Staff very friendly and helpful, the welcome we received on arrival was second to none. Food good, plenty of hot water and fresh clean towels.
Peaceful and cute A little too far out of bath
Friendly & helpful staff in a pleasant rural setting No chairs in room, no quiet room in hotel.
Rooms were clean and well laid out.
Accommodation very clean and owners very friendly
