Maison Labbé - Meursault - Building

9.4 Excellent (231 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Maison Labbé in Meursault, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Chateau de Pommard and Meursault Town Hall. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Recently renovated and our two rooms shared a common sitting room which our host Jennifer suggested on confirmation. Jennifer was also very prompt in offering good restaurant recommendations.
Cons: Parking was not next to hotel but frankly very close in parking lot down the road
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Central location. Easy access. Comfy bed and excellent shower. Good communication re arrival and when we had a question.
Cons: Ideally would have liked to have a coffee machine or a small kettle with tea/ coffee and mugs in the room. Alternatively something in the communal area outside the rooms.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable place and great beds and bathroom. Right in the middle of Meursault.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and value.
Cons: Everything was excellent except the WiFi was a bit slow on the top floor. Not surprising given the building, but it wouldn’t stop me from staying there again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very quiet, lots of privacy, and ability to come and go at will. Easy access to the very pretty town of Meursault. Very gracious staff who welcomed us. We were able to walk to a super restaurant in town for dinner. After a long journey, needing to by-pass freeway closures (a long detour entailed) we felt very comfortable settling in. There is a Nespresso machine in the room and a very generous supply of capsules. We were given a wonderful breakfast cake in our room, it was most appreciated, and we'd love to stay there again. The bed and the bathroom facilities were excellent. Our room comprised a sleeping area and a separate sitting room, which was perfect - it was, essentially, a suite. But not a suite price.
Cons: Nothing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean modern amenities and very friendly reception
Cons: Unfortunately no hot water for shower and as money had already bee taken no reduction in price could be offered. Bed was uncomfortable as we seemed to both slide to the middle!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice, clean room at the center of the village. Easy check-in, parking nearby (closed terrain, good as we could keep our bikes on the car), nice breakfast and friendly staff.
Cons: The room had a large balcony but it could have been made much more attractive to actually use it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, very spacious room. The bathroom is big and clean, the bathrobes are fluffy ;) private parking nearby the hotel Helpful and super friendly receptionist!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The host was friendly. The apartment was clean, bright and well equipped e.g kettle, nespresso machine, 2 big tv, comfy sofa.
Cons: The water flow wasn’t so fluent but it was bearable. There was only a small pot supplied for cooking, only suitable for cooking simple food. Location was good, in town centre but can be noisy on Saturday night and in the morning from the bell of the church with the windows open. But air conditioning and heating are provided so it was fine to sleep with window closed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Modern, lively decor. Spacious with separate living room. Wonderful roomy shower. Excellent breakfast and attentive service.

Cons: Location is not great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: More than good! Great welcome, excellent beds and amazing breakfast!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building that has been lovingly refurbished (if slightly quirky modern furniture in places) and the pool was very welcome after a long drive. Friendly welcome from the hosts. Very large rooms, comfortable beds and well appointed bathrooms. Excellent breakfast with home made produce. Very quiet village.
Cons: Probably our fault but we hadn't realised that there would be no evening meal available and that there are no restaurants immediately in the village. Laurent was very helpful in booking us into a restaurant a 15 minute drive away, but this meant no wine with dinner as we had to drive which was slightly disappointing on the first night of our holiday!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An old chateau done up in a quirky modern style. Incredibly comfortable bed in a generously large room , very modern shower and loo. Delicious breakfasts in the garden, with home made jams and foods. the pool is a good size and heated.
Cons: Nothing - all lovely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were very large, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The pool was also a plus
Cons: That we were only there for one night
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very nice chateau and a very warm welcome from the owners when we arrived. The owners have a lot of knowledge about what is going on locally, including offering several excellent wines that you can take from the honesty bar. All in all, this hotel was a very nice experience on our way back from holiday in the South of France offering some well deserved rest after several hours in the car.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very charming, relaxed, and the combination of the modern decor and the traditional element works very well.
Cons: There was nothing we did not like
7.5 Good
Pros: Surrounding was peacefull. Happy not to be surrounded by too many dutch families with crying babies.
Cons: No airconditioning, as we stayed at the upperfloor It was too hot in the room, and hard to to sleep.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely big room (biggest of our trip). Wonderful hosts. Honesty wine chiller so we could help ourselves to wine in the evening - sat out in the garden. Great choice of coffees and teas when fancied one. Wonderful breakfast of lovely fresh pastries, homemade jams and yogurt with home grown raspberries and ginger bread. We had a lovely stay.
Cons: The church bells woke us up few too many times.

Thank you Isa & Bernard for a wonderful stay in your beautiful home. I wish I could rate your b&b higher than a 10!

Pros: We spent an idyllic 3 days with Isabelle et Bernhard in their little 'corner of paradise'. They served us a wonderful breakfast of homemade and local specialities every day, which we enjoyed on their sunny terrace. We can also highly recommend the evening meal option (table d'hotes). The views and the surrounding flora and fauna were stunning...such a relaxing place, and ideally placed for discovering Santenay and Meursault. Thank you for your awesome hospitality : )

Maison Lameloise - Chagny - Building
6
9.3 Excellent (323 reviews)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Hotel warm welcoming, staff very attentive Excellent Breakfast Dinner was superb, at a price, you would need to budget 350 euro plus for a dinner for two with wine
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic and very helpful staff. Comfortable room and indeed a top class dining experience. Definitely it’s one of our favorite hotels we stay at in Europe.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: An exceptional place. Large comfortable room & superb shower. The restaurant’s not bad either ;-)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Very professional approach to everything.Rooms were a good size. Bath robes and slippers in the bathroom. Complimentary pastries in the room which were delicious as well as complimentary water.
Cons: Nothing. Could not fault anything.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: High end hotel with friendly staff and everything in good order. Three star Michelin hotel restaurant. Far from expensive everything considered. Perfect place for a short stopover.
Cons: Nothing about the hotel and restaurant is a surprise. Lameloise is quite traditional. However, most people would probably consider this as a quality.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was our third stay and it met our every expectation yet again. We will certainly be back.
Cons: Nothing (a slightly larger room perhaps but for one night not really a problem)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Extremely helpful Excellent dinner
Cons: I thought the wine list was a little overpriced. I had a lovely bottle of 1er Cru Volnay - retail in the shops £45 - they charged 180 euro - that was very cheeky They offered to put the car in a closed courtyard - I didn't realise it cost me 20 euros - I was only there for the night - would have been happy to leave it in the street and use the 20 euro to pay off the wine. Overalll a great stopover and highly recommended.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: we enjoyed a marvelous dinner in the restaurant and stayed overnight. Expensive, but worth the impressions, the food, the wines and the overall feeling Most probably not the last time we have been there!

Pros: Accommodation is modern, stylish, clean and spacious. We had a very enjoyable stay and sampled some of Jacques' excellent wines; it was interesting to hear about his winemaking philosophy and methods. Very good breakfast too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a very special accommodation occupying the second story of a very large, completely new structure in a small, working winery on the owner's property. The craftsmanship is amazing - solid, clean, everything is high quality.
Cons: Our stay should have been longer!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic converted barn attic, beautiful modern decor and facilities- absolutely first-rate
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Christine and Jacques were very genial, welcoming, and provided a wonderful service. Christine served delicious breakfasts, including buttery croissants, fruits, local cheeses and coffee to order, from her deck overlooking the vineyards. The room was spacious, immaculate, stylish, light-filled, quiet and very comfortable with lovely views and everything we needed for our stay. The shower head was amazing! We were the only guests. Christine was very helpful with suggestions for restaurants and places to visit (and patient with our poor attempts at speaking French!).
Cons: While not a real negative, we would have loved to hear more about their wine (some information left in the room, for example) and food, if possible.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely fabulous location with wonderful accommodation. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. Incredibly luxurious and comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What an unbelievable find this is. I can't imagine a better location if you have even a slight interest in wine. It's in the heart of Puligny-Montrachet, a short walk to the restaurants of the village, nevertheless, a car is needed for the location but free parking is available. I can't remember a time when I booked in to such a huge room. There's easily enough space in there for 2 and with a travel cot or bed, a small family could easily fit. Amazing shower, with views of the vineyards. Jacques and Christine are so welcoming. Very happy to offer guidance and advice on where to go and see and eat. Nothing is too much trouble. A lovely continental breakfast was served on their terrace overlooking the vines. Jacques also gave us a tour of his wine facilities and a tasting of his wine. When we're next in the area, we will be back for sure. Just superb!
Cons: Nothing. All was superb.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was large, spacious and beautifully appointed and the hosts were friendly, welcoming and charming. The wine tasting was knowledgeable and thoroughly entertaining.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was absolutely amazing and so was the view from the windows over the vines. The hosts really made us feel welcome and the breakfast in the morning was perfect to start our day. We thoroughly enjoyed it!
Cons: This is not something we didn't like, but something to help people when they visit. There are a few restaurants in the village but you will HAVE to book. Otherwise you have to drive to the neighboring villages or town Beaune.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: - a beautifully appointed, spacious room - a quiet, relaxing setting - proximity to great vineyards and restaurants - the kind and warm hospitality of the owners A great place to relax and unwind!
Cons: What is there not to like?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Viewing and oboe all smelling the one week old fermenting fruit after grape harvesting in the barrels

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Chambre d'hôtes Chez Laurence in Santenay, you'll be next to a golf course, within a 15-minute drive of Chateau de Pommard and Meursault Castle.
6.3 Good
Cons: Given a small, ill-equipped room in the basement because "it's the coolest room in the house" and because the big room we paid for "has a problem."
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, good restaurants within a few minutes walk. Host extremely helpful, giving advice about the local area & places to visit. Accommodation excellent too. Would most definitely stay here again & recommend highly to others. Brian & Jane Langley
Cons: Absolutely nothing to dislike!
6.8 Good
Pros: Good location
Cons: The owners were rude. It was our wedding night and they yelled at us for checking out 1 hour late.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beds extremely comfortable so much so that we slept in. Breakfast excellent.
Cons: Space around bed in second bedroom
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded to a beautiful large room with kitchenette and fridge. The hosts were very welcoming and even made a dinner reservation at a local restaurant for us.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms and apartments were in the middle of town surrounded by Burgundy wines. Wonderful and peaceful. The rooms were quite different in sizes and equipment. But they were all quite good. We were in a room with a relatively small bed (French size) which was quite tough to find restful sleep. But the place was very recommendable. The hosts took care that the alley work outside with drilling etc. did not start before 8 am, very thoughtful. The breakfast was incredible and delicious.
Cons: Bed was too narrow for 2 people.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful location and very welcoming host. Jacuzzi a nice touch. Very clean
Cons: Breakfast was really good but would have been better with more range of cereal
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A big clean room Friendly The dogs were accepted
Cons: Maybe some cheese/ bacon on the breakfast
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place, definitely want to come back again. The host was very nice to us.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were really nice. They welcomed us with wine and at a late hour. They gave us a lot of advice about the area. The apartment was great, and has everything you need. The breakfast was just right and had fresh orange juice and fruits. Very nice hosts, well equipped and clean apartment with a comfortable bed and privacy.
Cons: Everything was great, we actually just spent a night there on the road but didnt really explore the area nearby.. beaune is close by and dijon is not too far away

Cons: Nothing to say.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Located in the heart of Burgundy wine region, this hotel was exactly what we were looking for. Dinner on the first night was fantastic (we made sure to try all 9 wines in the degustation) and the hotel room was comfortable and spacious. If you are looking for a quiet little town to base yourself for a tour of Burgundy's vineyards then this is a great choice.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely rooms Great staff very friendly Great food & wine
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and great wine - what else do you need?
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, very attentive and friendly staff. Restaurant was excellent and the reason why we stayed was the wine and it didn’t disappoint.
6.8 Good
Pros: The staff are just lovely, which is so important to us. Rooms are large and luminous, excellent large bath. Dogs accepted.
Cons: For 4 stars...very average stay, all around. In general bland. Rooms are average, both decor and comfort, + pricey (for the standard level). A bit too stark and colorless. No public areas for lounging. Hotel is located on what feels like an abandoned village square, far from vineyard views. Food was really quite uninspired, dishes not at all creative (bland in fact) and unexceptional, with tiny portions. price for quality lacking. The wine pairing is a great concept, but the wines really couldn't shine their brightest against the food. The important part, in spite of our own disappointment, is the impressive amount of work, thought and effort that go into private hotels such as this. Surely a labor of love that is to be applauded. We are very frequent travellers and Parisian foodies, so demand a lot from a 4 star hotel and its restaurant. The whole experience didn't meet expectations, but this should not discourage folks who love this region and its wines.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow - what an amazing stay. We stayed to buy our wedding wine from Prosper Maufoux and had a detailed wine tasting. The rooms in the Chateau were truely stunning. We stayed there with 2 friends and had use of the communal areas in the Chateau. The breakfast included was perfect and had a private car park at the rear of the property.
Cons: Absolutely nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place boggles the mind. Pascale does everything possible to ensure your stay is 110%...She is delightful....There is absolutely nothing to criticize. We stayed 3 nights and could have stayed much longer. The area remains incredible. We have been to Beaune and elsewhere in Bourgogne before but Santenay is special. Two superb restaurants are feet from Prosper Maufoux, one or both of which are opened on Sundays and Mondays.........very helpful. The wine tasting which is complementary is extraordinary and can include Grand Cru and definitely Premier Cru selections......We did it twice with different options. This locale is just about as good as it gets!
Cons: Nothing!

9.3 Excellent
Pros: What a great guest house in an historic building close to the very heart of Meursault! Our suite included two private bedrooms and a beautifully remodeled bathroom, and was great for my wife and I and our 20 yr old daughter. We were very fortunate to have stayed on one of the Bach à Bacchus festival days - with a great guitar/accordion duo playing in the courtyard at Clos Saint Jacques; a great afternoon of music there and at other venues in Meursault. Our host was very gracious in allowing us to check in a bit early, and she provided a great breakfast in the courtyard the next day.
Cons: We happened to be in Meursault during a heat wave (early July), so my only wish would be for some air conditioning - though we understand that AC is pretty rare throughout France. Otherwise, a lovely stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were made to feel very welcome and the breakfast was splendid.
Cons: The property did not have its own parking, but we were able to park very close by.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely closed-in courtyard where we had breakfast. Good coffee. The hostess is very friendly and the room is nice but small. Very quiet location and close to the central square.
Cons: Internet very slow - small size of room. The room could really use a desk and another chair.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely characture place in the heart of the wonderful village of Meursault. So friendly & informative hosts. Charm & hospitality excellent. Chance to buy some superb village wines - and this is Meursault! Highly recommend!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice breakfast ( except the bread ) strong coffee and lots of it. Homemade jams and yogourt and bowl of fresh fruit. One morning melon, 2nd, bowl of cherries. It was 39c and they had done their best to keep the rooms as cool as they could with fans. This place is pretty with a lovely courtyard.
Cons: The local Boulangerie sells excellent croissants and baguette but we were offered a dull round bread sliced at the table or a sweet bread neither of which we liked. The second morning I went off to buy some croissants!!! Being very picky I’d have liked more flowers in the courtyard just to make it extra special.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good value for money! Very good location, excellent breakfast, the owner was very welcoming and nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely b&b, super clean, lovely courtyard in which to eat breakfast, which was delicious! Cannot fault this place.
