Pretty good value for money and in a good location for visiting the Champagne region. Pretty village. Owner was a helpful chap but didn't really speak any English. The hotel was pretty basic (the host gave out towels and bars of soap at the reception desk) and the decor was very 70's! On our check-out day the owner was still in bed so we had to get him up to pay the bill! Very laissez faire but quirky too.
We found the proprietor very good - although his knowledge of english was not very good - he made us feel welcome and tried to help us.
Warm and nice attitude of stuff
Good honest local french village accommodation, our room was simple but bright and clean and everything worked. The food in the restaurant was of a very high standard (better than some of the expensive restaurants in Reims and Epernay), as was the service. Excellent location for doing a value for money champagne tour of the cotes de blanc region. I would stay again and recommend - places like this are always better than the impersonal chains. Visit Milan Champagne in Oger for a taste of perfection. None
the patron was very enthusiastic about the local food
Staying in a castle with moat and beautiful surroundings. Found the 35 euro meal just as good (or even better) than the 50 euro meal. However both were excellent!
we enjoyed the peace and quite in beautiful surroundings. The food in the restaurant was excellent. no safe or television in the room
It's a real 16th century chateau, complete with a moat, in the heart of the Champagne producing area. The staff are very helpful and their recommendations for dinner in a small town nearby was one of the best meals I've ever had (at Le Cheneil Blanc)
The hotel restaurant in the Orangerie is top class! The Chateau itself a haven of relaxed atmosphere, fantastic rooms and all in a very beautiful setting. The breakfast was not of the same quality as the rest of the experience.
The chateau was beautiful and the staff very helpful. Our room was a little small and furnished in a shabby chic style but this was reflected in the price we paid,if we had been staying longer than 1 night I would have paid for a bigger room.We ate in the Chateau restaurant which was expensive but well worth it.Unfortunately, we were only passing through as I would have liked to stay longer.Overall a splendid stay. No other restaurants in the village so for a longer stay you would need to travel some distance if you wished to eat out.Drinks were expensive.
The village location; the architecture; the grounds; the peace and quiet Staff were a bit distant, we were reprimanded for taking an apple from a tree which seemed rather rude of them, and unnecessary given the price we paid for our room; hotel could have provided information about shops etc in the locality; breakfast was a bit limited
This was our second stay and as before it was a pleasure. This time we where in a classic chateau room which was really lovely. Food and wine excellent, haute cuisine without being too fussy 20 euros for the dog was a bit excessive but that is the only negative comment we would make
The recently decorated (built?) rooms, the entourage of the castle, the view and the service.
My absolute favourite hotel. The restaurant is the most amazing experience! Leaving!!!
sooo romantic , built 1700 excellent dining!!! no
Staff were friendly, helpful, and very well trained. They were attentive without being intrusive. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, though I did feel that breakfast provided a very limited choice.
Location, Pool and Spa Food very expensive!
FRiendly reception and waiter at breakfast; lovely pool;good wine waiter Dinner was a disaster - not child friendly and no children's menu - although Reception still think they have one. Ambience was over formal
Beautiful accomodation in a great setting & great location. The staff were very helpful. The room was a little small, so value for money is questionable. The restaurant, while very good, is a little overpriced for what you get, compared to other similar establishments.
excellent hotel, superb staff but very expensive especially the restaurant, but well worth the trip
This was a wonderfull hotel, staff very welcoming, helpfull and attentive. The room was beautiful, the restaurant superb, the lounge relaxing and the gardens delightfull. We look forward to returning soon.
It is beautiful centre of the Champagne region, but however the price is like the Champagne bottle... but we had a great time!
Too expensive for the qualitiy delivered especially in the restaurant ...
Everything. The staff were friendly and efficient, the facilities lovely, the restaurant excellent. I wouldn't hesistate to recommend La Briqueterie, and would certainly stay there again.
Evening meal was superb and service was very good. Breakfast also first rate. Had to move rooms because first room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke (despite requesting a non smoking room). No-one on reception when we wanted to check out. Garage was out of action but reception did not appear to know. ( We had requested a space when booking)
Easy acces to hotel, automatic gate that closes at 22,00 Woluld have liked more electrical outlets in the room and other than only french speaking TV channels
Too noisy, room was smelly.
Convenient location - if by car. Friendly staff. Free and working Wi-Fi. Room in poor condition - especially the bathroom. Cleaning totally unsatisfactory. No mini-fridge.
Fairley quiet, good spot, easy to locate from main routes Food was poor in the evening, breakfast good though
Conveniently situated, reasonable car parking, the reception staff were very helpful The hotel is in need of renovation somewhat shabby. The insulation between the rooms is very poor we were kept awake by noisy guests in the adjacent room.
just to sleep overnight room too narrow, about 30cm between the bed and wall
waited for us to arrive later in the evening and even called to make sure we are on our way and everything was fine. Were on our way to disneyland and wanted somehwere to stay the night before so we can get there early in the morning for the kids to enjoy a full day.
Location In need of refurbishment in common with many other Campanile
Good location, friendly staff, summer terrace in restaurant. Rooms are quite small, 3 bed rooms are in fact regular ones with a tiny "foldable" bed.
Very helpful staff and good restaurant. Safe parking. Ideal for an overnight stay en route to holiday destination. Rooms very basic and small but clean and comfortable
The convenience of being able to get back to Paris easily, the staff and the meals in the restaurant.
friendly staff, good breakfast, nice river walk
Cnn on tv Restaurant was closed in spite of a notice stating open every evening. Room was very small
easy pleasant walk into town along the river rooms and shower very small
Low cost closeish to Disneyworld, easy to reach and with an exceellent supermarket very closeby basic, bit cramped
Cheap and clean Expensive restaurant
Easy access and friendly staff. Breakfast better than expected To much appearance as a motel more than a hotel
The location is good. It is handy for the town centre and there is a large Carrefour supermarket opposite. It is generally used by working people. It is similar to a Travel lodge in the UK. The breakfast was adequate.
Clean Very average food. Staff could do with some lessons at charm school.
Restaurant closed Friday nightNoise from dogs and cock around dawn
