9.5 Excellent
Pros: What a gracious and helpful host! The room was lovely, and all the amenities both in our room and in the commons rooms were super. We were en route to the south and had a late arrival. But also this was managed quickly, professionally and with a wonderful smile in this charming house with beautiful gardens. Good also that there was separate parking just for guests. Delicious breakfast, charming guests and good converstation at the table! We'll be back.

Pros: The host made us fell very welcome and helped us with many things in the area. She also baked a special tarte for our breakfast. The host had renovated and decorated the accommodation beautifully and considerately for its age, location and culture.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The host was amazingly accommodating and particularly loving with our 2 year old daughter, which makes a huge difference when traveling with little children. The breakfast was phenomenal - crepes, fresh fruit, baguettes, local cheeses and charcuterie, coffee and tea... We stayed the night when one of the host's sheep had a lamb overnight, an extra special treat. This property is a beautiful, high quality renovation and is enjoyable in any season. Highly recommend!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed four nights here when visiting our son and family who were on a Eurocamp holiday. The Room is more like an apartment with a bedroom, lounge, bathroom and toilet with its own private entrance. The hosts, Evelyn and Patrick were superb. Breakfast, continental style, was delicious with fresh fruit from the garden. Tea/coffee facilities in the room is very unusual in French chambres dote but these were provided along with bottles of water. Excellent wifi as well. The chamber dote is in a beautiful old building over 200 years old with an equally beautiful garden. Probably the best stay in France for us and we have been coming for thirty years.
Cons: Nothing!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The area was very quiet and the owners were super-friendly (we speak French). The rooms were good for a family - there were toys, books, a baby gate etc. There was a fridge and microwave available. When we brought back picnic food to eat for our tea the owners brought us plates and cutlery to use. There were drink-making facilities in the room. The bathroom was great and had a bath. There is a market on Wednesday evenings in Clerval which was great for having an informal meal and drink.

Les Grands Prés - Rang - Building

9.5 Excellent (90 reviews)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The host was very friendly and helpful and speaks English. We are travelling by bicycles and the accommodation is approximately 5km off the EV6 cycling route. It’s a long but gently climbing hill. We were rewarded with a cold drink on arrival. There is a good pool in which to cool off. We had a nice meal with wine, a fabulous nights sleep in large bed in a cool bedroom and considering no aircon in 35 degrees it was a perfect temperature. There is a private patio to relax. Breakfast was the best so far on a 65 night trip and included home made cake and even scrambled eggs, fresh from own chickens. The next morning we had a wonderful downhill ride back to the route. Highly recommend.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: absolutely friendly and helpful owner, very clean and modern room, pleasant calm ambience, great breakfast
Cons: everything was OK

Pros: The host and her cordiality were convincing. She would have prepared dinner for us if we had told her when booking the room. The breakfast was French and marvelous.
Cons: No restaurant nearby. The room was slightly dark.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast by the pool, under a covered sitting area makes for a great start to the day. The breakfast was also very good! The countryside location is extremely peaceful but too not far from a small town for dinner and sight-seeing.
Cons: ...having to leave so soon :( - would be great for a few days or longer! The B&B is perfect!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nicole & Dirk have a little bit of paradise to share in their wonderful auberge. Fantastic location, brilliant hosts and great facilities. Perfect for peace and relaxation with a little je ne sais quoi
Cons: Everything was great
6.3 Good
Pros: The location is nice and quiet. It is a VERY remote place, but you can check before hand on Google Maps, so you can decide whether it is OK for you or not. The Inn is well maintained and furnished. Breakfast is quite OK, standard food from the supermarket.
Cons: A downturn are the mattresses. Both were worn and sagged in the middle. Waking up with backpain after an almost sleepless night is guaranteed. Another problem is the host: When talking to him, he complained several times about previous guests with whom he had "very bad experiences". I asked him if we can eat some own food at the table outside at the lake. At this evening they did not offer anything to eat at the Inn. His reply was that I should have booked a camping site if I want to eat my own food. Remember, they did not sell anything to eat that day! Do you see the logic behind that? No? Good, there is none. He may have recognized that too and then said that he does not want that guest eat at this table because they may make it dirty and this attracts animals. Wow, is there a more rude way to say that you think your guests are molesters? My recommendation: do him the favour and stay somewhere else.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The welcome, the location, the ambience and the assistance of Dirk and Nicole who were so kind, supportive and helpful when our car had a major breakdown. Once again our thanks.

Pros: The location by the river and the surroundings. Excellent hosts. The location is one of those places that make a trip.if you have a chance to stay there, don't pass it up.
Cons: Nothing. Meals at the hotel are only served on certain nights. Not a bother as we drove 1.5 km to another resteraunt that was open.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful riverside location with a warm welcome from the owners.. .
Cons: The bolster on the bed rather than a pillow. I could not get comfortable though my wife didn't have quite so much of a problem. If it wasn't for this it would have been a score of 10.
10.0 Excellent

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The owner was very helpful: We had arrived by bike and given the awful weather weren't keen on going all the way back to Isle sur le Doubs for dinner - so she drove my husband to the local supermarket and helped him find what we needed for a meal. The rooms themselves are very pretty, although the futon in the Chinese room is hard on the back. The billiard table was great fun - so much nicer than spending the evening in front of devices.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Close to Autoroute. Nice host and dog was allowed. In summertime there is a nice pool area and small garden. Big room with dart, pool billiard and resting area.
Cons: Many stairs, but that's how it is in an old house.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfortble and tastefully decorated historic B&B. Enjoyable visit with owner.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Charming historic B&B tastefully decorated. Very spacious and comfortable room.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Host friendly, spacy & nice furnised room with nice & big terrace. You can use the fully equipped kitchen of the owner in a common room.
Cons: Cleanliness is not sufficient in all Areas. You Can smell the animals everywhere in the house Breakfast very poor & disappointing (no eggs & no cheese or ham).

Cons: This is a B&B and not a hotel. Strong cat smell throughout the property confirmed with Tom cat on the breakfast table!! Lacks character. Limited breakfast.

Pros: Big, old house in a tiny village. Loved the French countryside with sheep behind the room and river across the way. It was also nice to have a pool to take a dip in. The room and bathroom were huge and very attractive. We were in the Japanese room. Very nice French traditional breakfast with great big coffee and breads along with homemade jams and yogurt. The owner, Katherine was generous and right there to provide what was requested.
Cons: Only downside was the bed.....futon was a bit hard.
Logis Auberge des Moulins - Baume-les-Dames - Building

8.3 Excellent (288 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Logis Auberge des Moulins in Pont-les-Moulins, you'll be 13 minutes by car from Church of St. Peter. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: This hotel does not look promising from outside, but the rooms and the restaurant have been recently modernised/redecorated. Food in the restaurant was excellent.
Cons: Corridors and exterior could do with a bit more TLC. The car park is exposed to the road so not very secure.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Restaurant is of exceptionally high quality (very long waiting for each meal though).
Cons: The hotel is located at a very busy intersection. There is no place to go with the dogs at all. The forest that you can see on the map is inaccessible. The "modern" solution with bathtub in the room and without any water isolation is inconvenient.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The food was good and the room was comfortable
Cons: Close to main road
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant is wonderful. It serves the best of French cuisine.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very good evening meal.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Excellent Restaurant, though it appears unable to cope with large numbers of diners, including residents. We hadn't booked a table for the second night of our stay and had to eat elsewhere, which actually suited our touring plans quite well. The place was clean and well fitted, although there are a few eccentricities.
Cons: Very dark reception with dim lighting which only comes on about 10 seconds after you've entered. Not at all welcoming. Some quite weird features. One bedroom (10) was reminiscent of Gerard Hoffnung's "bathroom with bed", having a very modern freestanding rolltop bath in one half of the room with a shower handset but no curtain or screen. Despite our careful contortions with the handset we still managed to spray the bedside table. Neither of plugs in the the two ultra modern wash basins held water - very inconvenient, especially for wet shaving. The separate toilet had a nice new Villeroy & Boch pedestal - but no holder for the loo roll, which was plonked on the shelf behind in the manner of most service station loos. In another other room (9) the w.c. was so far off the ground the occupant had a job to reach it and had to sit with legs dangling.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice place to stay, sadly we didn’t take the evening meal.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The meal was good but not worth a Logis 3 saucepan. The bed was very comfortable. The area was beautiful and it was great to be in the country and luckily the traffic calmed down at bedtime.
Cons: I arrived at 4pm after a long drive from Austria. The welcome was okay but I could not get a beer so I had to go out again. There was no water in the room. Dinner was 7.30pm to 8.30pm only and the modern restaurant filled with men who were obviously lorry or van drivers. There were no couples staying and my understanding was that on the whole this was their business. I had to pay the night before so I declined breakfast as I was not sure of my itinerary the following day. There was no-one around when I left at 9.30am to say goodbye to.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was easy to find. Was totally amazing!! The bedroom was massive. Very clean. Staff were friendly and attentive which was nice. Nice courtyard sat and had a few drinks in the evening. Breakfast was French buffet. All in all a nice place to stay.
Cons: Nothing at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wellness pure for a 18 holes of golf, dinner at the chateau and breakfast next morning. Great price for a round of golf!
Cons: The golf course is covered in dandelions with white fluffy heads, which makes finding the ball tricky. Bring coloured balls! Or better, the groundkeeper could get out in his motor lawnmower.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very nice Golf court, terrace and charming surroundings
Cons: Breakfast was very bad. We didn't have breakfast the second day at the Chateau. Bathroom in our room very old and not very nice. No shower just bath and the tap of the sink did not close properly. Big issue with the chateau is they have no staff. In the evening we wanted to have a drink and we had to wait for ever. Finally we got our drink but we could not order anymore as they closed the bar due to just one person working in the kitchen and bar.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, location, staff, food, beer, everything good.
7.5 Good
Pros: The restaurant was closed and we only found out on the way to the location - just made it inconvenient after a 7hr car journey to have to get back in the car and drive to find something to eat

Pros: the golf course
Cons: slow service
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is situated in an beautiful old castle in the middle of nowhere, with lot of place for walking, running and inhaling fresh air. From there, you can visit Franche-Conte easily. The room was spacy and convenient.
Cons: Breakfast really not worth its price.
