Lovely hotel and very good value for money, close to town centre & everything within walking distance. The young couple who own the hotel were excellent hosts and very helpful with local information.
This hotel is being done up by its owners who want to make a go of the hotel. The decoration and fittings are not good yet, but they will be in time. The price reflected this. The hotel is in the centre of Nerac which is a beautiful old town on the Baise. Lovely restaurants by the river
Friendly, helpful and professional couple running the hotel. The rooms are being renovated and are beautifully furnished. Always a pleasure to stay and I'm already looking forward to my next overnighting at Henri IV.
Breakfast is good. Staff is kind and helpful. Wi-Fi is terrible. Disconnections often occur.
Good value traditional small hotel in the lovely town of Nerac. Hotel owned by attentive young coupe who acquired it recently. Adjacent public parking. Nice breakfast in attractive dining room. Some may find the toilet and shower facilities a little quaint!
a peaceful location, easy to find, comfortable bed, good for late afternoon sunshine outside.... the welcome was awful, there was dry rot in the ceiling over the bed, dropping residue on to the bed.The charge for the digestive for myself & wife at 16 euros was disgraceful. The breakfast was very ordinary for the price and the bread was stale...the "owner " who served breakfast was not welcoming...compared with lots of logis we have stayed in on this holiday. We were glad to leave, clearly not a Logis of France which has a good reputation.
Well located hotel The breakfast was extremely poor for €6 a person. The room had a strange white powder falling on everything in the room all night. Spiders' webs all over the room. Cleanliness could have easily been improved.
Atmospheric on the Compestela Pilgrim's route, opposite Larresingle medieval villiage and Chateau. Good simple meals.
I liked the location and the atmosphere the L'Auberge has
Friendly arrival, Home cooking-simple. Basic but adequate room. Simple breakfast. Cheap overall. No other guests. Good view.
Location is ideal in the country and peaceful and the welcome was charming. The food was nothing special apart from the starter
Relaxed atmosphere The price of the poor quality breakfast, which was only availble to be eaten in bedroom. We only ordered this once in view of our inital experence.
Excellent welcome from the staff who could not have been more welcoming and helpful. No
Excellent pool and pool garden. Friendly and efficient staff who like small children. Very good continental breakfast. No petty rules or officeous signs. The decor, carpets, lighting, furnishings, bathrooms are all tired, worn, rather shabby and outdated. It is like university student standard. It needs complete refurbishment. We think it maybe suits its normal clientel, but we need something fresher.
Excellent location Nothing
The location was very convenient. I did think it was marginal in terms of value for money when compared with other accommodation used on this holiday, Lack of air conditioning or even a fan on what was an extremely hot night.
Friendy staff, convenient location, bqasic but comfortable room
Friendly, bilingual, knowledgeable, helpful staff Could use a work over
The staff were friendly and helpful when we asked for a fan. They spoke very good English which is a bonus when my French is not so good! The room was hot and had one small window. The bathroom had a shower over the bath hung up on the wall but there was no shower curtain. The rooms had had a revamp but this was just paint and new curtains. They need new bathroom suites and dressing tables. Despite this the room was clean.
Professional run hotel, no restaurent, but easy walk into town. Comfortable and well priced. Difficult to find on the map.
The ambiance and owners, peaceful. Shower unit needs modernising
The setting and the architecture of the hotel is like stepping back into the Middle Ages. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The restaurant at the hotel serves dishes and wines of the region that are cooked and served to perfection. Anyone coming to this region must experience this hotel as there are so few that rival The Chateau de Fources for service and the overall experience.
Wonderful place to stay. Excellent value for money. Friendly and helpful owners and staff.
Nice village location, next to thermal spa facility, good in-house restaurant Small room with only basic facilities and outfit: no shower curtain over tub, one electric wall plug in entire room, WiFi only in reception area, lacking in-room safe, coffee/tea making facilities
The room was very small but clean and it had a small swimming pool which could be used by guests but at very restricted times Service was appalling and offhand, directions difficult to follow and not in Pujols at all!! No airconditioning and breakfast very poor - even the coffee was in a flask. Pretentious set up with heavy carpets and no lifts for the multi levelled building therefore manoevering luggage was difficult
the lady who greeted us was very welcoming. the receptionist when we left mocked my French - it's not that great but i don't usually have trouble being understood and can carry on a conversation
Modern hotel where everything worked. Good restaurant with better than average menu. Pleasant chat with friendly proprietor, not to mention the Vieil Armagnac, on leaving. No, except the usual complaint about poor lighting for reading in the bedroom of virtually all French Hotels
Excellent host and dinner good
Well run with friendly staff. Food ok with comfortable, public areas. Room ok. En Suite a little lack lustre and needs updating. Nothing drastic.
Nice and clean, spoke english and french, excellent food Nothing
`Staff were very helpful, meals were reasonable, rooms were basic but clean `Breakfast was very poor - in particular the coffee, from a machine, was dreadful
Good restaurant Traffic noise
