Cleanliness and breakfast N/A
good location. easy to find. simple check-in. comfortable and clean.
clean and ideal as a stopover from Calais was pleased to find tea and coffee making facilities in the room would use this again for an overnight stay
Motel style chalet rooms excellent and free parking directly outside your door. Clean and tidy room with comfy bed. Much further outside of the city centre than suggested on the website. It is in fact 3.6 kilometers which is a bit too far to walk.
It was simply perfect!!
The ease and convenience of using the hotel
- Position within an industrial estate was poor, instructions for finding hotel were very poor. It should have been made clearer that this is 'motel' style accommodation. There was no parking near the cabin.
Food facility on site was good. Easy check -in just like a USA motel. Reception spoke good english to make up for my bad french Hotel - not in an ideal location (industrial style). GPS system seemed to locate hotel at a garden centre about a kilometre away!
Convenient as a stopover enroute to our final destination
Some (not all) of the staff were very rude to guests, to the extent that the whole dining room at breakfast was talking about it. We made a reservation in therestaurant in the evening upon arrival but they did not honour it. I was not the party booking the reservation so cannot comment on other aspects of this survey.
The location is good for visiting Le Mans as well as just passing through and staying overnight Rooms in need of decoration. Insect problems. Restaurant was closed when we visited, which we would have liked prior notice
Everyone was helpful and the food was very good. The location was ideal for the Le Mans circuit though it had to be by taxi.
Reasonably priced. Also we was delayed on route & phoned ahead to the hotel to advise them that we would arrive outside of normal reception hours. We were given an access code for the main door & the number of our room. The keys were left in the door so that we could get into the room. We were very pleased that these provisions was made for us. Website directions to the hotel could be improved. We could see the hotel from the motorway but was initially unsure how to reach it. Consequently we took a wrong turn which took us some miles out of our way. Not enough milk & refreshments left in room.
room with children was immediately adjacent to adults
covienent for an overnight stop, pity smoking allowed in bedrooms. no coffee, tea makeing facilities
Pleasant relaxing ambience with helpful staff.
As we drive from UK to Portugal via the channel tunnel it is a very good stop over for the 1st night and ideal situation close to the motorway, we used this hotel in March this year, as well as last week.
Hotel was on route that we were taking. Breakfast was good. Restaurant was closed (although the sign was not turned off). No hair dryer in the room.
Good, clean hotel convenient for a stop over when travelling in france. Rooms were basic but well maintained and clean. Ideally located for motorways.
Very convenient for the autoroutes
I like staying in a chateau. It was warm, comfortable and the owners were friendly and helpful. The aperitif before dinner was enjoyable. It is so interesting meeting people from other countries. The gardens could have been prettier, but it was all lovely. No.
Relaxed atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff
The owners and staff were very friendly and welcoming. The venue is set in a beautiful setting and the food was very good. some kind of animal was running up and down on the ceiling of our bedroom that scared us in the middle of the night and the owners just said that it happened but had no solution for it. We paid 190 euros a night and we would have expected a bit more than a shrug.
The atmosphere The room was the worst I have stayed in so far this trip.
Lovely house, furnishings and garden. Hosts charming. Evening meal, poor value for money - good home cooking but not gourmet as you'd expect for the price. Poor bathroom. Also house surrounded by roads and traffic noise.
A wonderful trip back into history
Excellent ambience and peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings. Easy access to local amenities, motorways and attractive villages for exploration. Our hosts were friendly, informative about the local area and places to visit and nothing is too much trouble. None.
The ambiance, easy to find and to park. Friendly, welcoming owners and staff. Very attractive public rooms. Lack of ventilation in bathroom which was in the eaves of the chateau. Poor positioning of bathroom lighting for use of mirror. Room and Dinner expensive compared to other "Chateaux Hotels" we have stayed in.
the chateau was quite beautiful...enjoyed staying there we were the only ones staying there on one of the nights of our visit...it was as if we weren't even there...shouldn't we still have been treated the same as if the chateau was full?! was rather unhappy with that,
Very close to the A28, easy parking, comfortable room with a kettle and tea bag - luxury!
Very convenient for the autoroute system on our journey from the Lot to Caen. Secure car parking and a good restaurant next door.
location was the best factor in my choice in staying at this hotel. The rooms were fairly spacious and clean. no airconditioning, the lights in the room, carpets slightly worn
location for motorway goood no restaurant and only one good restaurant near hotel which although was excellent was expensive
The hotel was easy to find and very convenient - not far from the Motorway. It was inconvenient that there was not a restaurant at the hotel.
It was a very convenient stop on our journey across France. The foyee was light and the welcome good Shower did not work properly so that the pressure flooded the floor. Bathroom hook too high. Only one large towel for 2 people. Room quite small. Carpet dirty. Bed hard. Publicity said eating places in vicinity. Without taking the car. there was (it was Monday) only a half finished supermarket cafe on a dark building site
I have stayed here in February 2008 and knew what to expect. The hotel is ok for a night
Easy to find - signposted from just off the motorway. Did not have coffee/tea making facilities in the room.
The hotel was easy to find, clean and welcoming and there is an excellent restaurant next door
Good position for travel. Facilities that one would expect. Noisy road. Could do with more pillows (we had 3 in the room)
The staff were very accomodating, helpful and very plesent, the breakfast / restaurant was beauftiful as was the terrace. Breakfast was fabulous, great selection at a very reasonable price. Loved the way the the rooms all had doors on the ground floor. The beds were not very comfortable. Having the doors was good but it meant you could not have the window open and it was warm.
Rooms exactly as requested - Breakfast vg
Very friendly and helpful staff. Well located for breaking a long journey (very near motorway).
friendly staff, nice breakfast buffet. We asked for rooms next door to each other as we were travelling as a family and got them which was nice. The hotel rooms opened onto a little garden so it was pleasant to stay in them.
A good stop over distance from port, very reasonably priced, and comfortable. Particularly appreciated tea making facility. Map we had from internet showed hotel in wrong location, and we were a bit misled by 'countryside' description on website; edge of trading estate would be a little more accurate. Restaurant was not open so we did not have the option of an evening meal.
Good location for trips to south and west coast. Breakfast excellent. Nice staff and friendly. The restaurant was closed for french holidays - one of the reasons we chose the hotel was for an overnight stop with a meal ! No info about this on the site when we booked.
The smell of cooking permeated the hotel
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was delicious. An added bonus! We stayed in a family room and there was enough space for all of us.
Welcoming, good service and facilities, excellent breakfast and comfortable simple but not sparse accomodation
Freindly staff and excellent food quality. Difficult to find using GPS in a very busy commercial area of Le Mans
Lovely room, good breakfast GPS coordinates required on website, Isolated, unwelcoming guard dogs
Very comfortable, with authentic old-world decor. No shower curtain, difficult to find at night.
Peaceful quiet setting in country outside Le Mans. difficult to find.
calm and most welcoming
Not there long enough, overnight stay only
Nothing in particular.
Set in huge park. The decor and place makes you feel like you have gone back a few centuries in time which is an experience in itself. Very isolated at night.
Hospitality was second to none, location was sensational, weather fantastic, staying at the hotel was like being in a stately home with friends.
Wonderful quiet setting but close enough to Le Mans for restaurants lovely decorated rooms with period furniture with the added bonus of a kettle in the room not usually found in French hotels
The location was very good for exploring the old town of le mans,The owner was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean and decorated to a high standard.we would definitely stay there again and recommend to family and friends. no
Very friendly five bedroom hotel; comfortable and well equipped, including Wi-fi throughout the building, as well as the use of an equipped kitchen and lounge area. There are also kettles in the rooms, but you will need to provide your own tea and coffee. It is situated in a very quiet area, but just a short drive from several restaurants, etc. Owner speaks good English.
Friendly staff with a good attitude Quite rustic and a little tired but charming with it - don't over expect and you will enjoy it.
Friendly and helpful owner who spoke English well and was welcoming to a party of 8, including children. Good value for money. Location very pretty and quiet with historic castle ruins and beautiful views of river Sarthe. (a village about 90 miles from Caen ferry port) Good evening meal and excellent breakfast of the best breads and pain au choculat we had in the whole holiday. Would certainly reccomend and return No! The owner has been there for three years and is restoring. Facilities may not be to everyones tastes but we loved it and it's "Frenchness".
Exceptionally warm welcome and excellent service. None
we were very happy with the service and helpfulness of the hotelier and his staff he also speaks very good english
I chose Hotel Rounsin for its location - it's exactly halfway between England and the Dordogne which makes for a perfect 'stop-over' stay. Next time though, I'd be tempted to linger a little bit longer. The hotel is right in the centre of Bresnay; a lovely old town with a traditional French atmosphere. Also, the hotel is unusually friendly, with an owner who speaks excellent English. The food in the hotel was nice as well: a three-course meal is very good value - I'd recommend it!
very clean hotel in a pretty village location
After an "oh no" reaction on first seeing the building and a notice on the front door on a very hot afternoon saying back in 30 minutes once inside the room was excellent with all facilities including paper tissues! The Dinner was delicious served in a very pretty dining room but we passed on the petit dejouner as it was not buffet. Very quiet room at the back. Slightly squeeky floors above.
staff very nice and helpfull
Large rooms, excellent reception and service. WiFi weak.
Didier, the owner was very friendly and welcoming. The room was wonderful, the beds comfortable and the shower lovely. The food was also good.
friendly hosts no hairdryer in the bathroom
Very welcoming staff, very clean room altogether a very relaxing stay.
Fantastic value. Rooms spotlessly clean. A great stop over for our group of four adults & two babies.
