The owners were friendly. It was close to where I needed to be. It's next to train tracks and the train runs all night. Hard to sleep with the noise.
It was clean. Nothing spectacular but the room was fine. No, not really. We were worried that here may have been a train coming by in the middle of the night since it is close to the tracks but there wasn't one.
This is a bargain hotel for a bargain price, which is exactly what I was looking for. The rooms were clean and larger than most. They had a better TV station selection than most bargain hotels. A nice surprise was a microwave oven and refrigerator. It's an older hotel and the lobby still smells like an ashtray from the 'old days', when everything smelled like that. They did a good job of cleaning the rooms though, so this is a minor complaint.
This was the most disgusting hotel that I have ever stayed at. The only reason I chose this hotel is because it was a mile from my destination. Had I known that the hotel was as crappy as it was i would have never chosen that one. Walking in the hallways smelled like marijuana. In our room it had a bad odor. We could barely get our door open to our room because the carpet was raised. Also, the doors to get in and out were never locked, no matter what time of night it was, which was very concerning because there was a homeless guy on the side of the building living. The pictures online looked nothing like our room. Also, the hottub was out of order and the pool was very freezing.
