There was nothing to fault about the hotel, everything was superb.
the room was very comfortable , the spa was very relaxing , the breakfast was excellent with top class service. We were unable to get coffee at 11.15 p.m. and were declined in a very gruff manner.by a waitress and head waiter.
very friendly staff
We return to this hotel every year. Here you have true hospitality, excellent beds, good food and genuine friendly staff in a lovely location.
Everything is nice, clean comfortable and friendly. Good breakfast, decent genuine evening meal We have been coming regularly for number of years but this year we were not so pleased with the service at dinner. The waitress was very busy and no desert was available. An Italian ice cream with real fruit rather than peaches out of a tin would have gone a long way. As we decided to support Hotel Dock and have our meal at the Hotel rather than going down to the lake, this was particularly unfortunate.
The staff were really friendly. The restaurant was lovely. Breakfast was excellent, as were the evening meals that we took at the hotel. We were both in single rooms, which were relatively spacious and comfortable. I also liked the town and surrounding countryside.
Our dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Kitchen is excellent. Very professional, helpful and kind restaurant staff. The view from our 7th floor room was just lovely, not to mention the sunset. Overcrowded restaurant at breakfast on Sunday morning (very unconfortable and annoying). Lack of information on how to use the keycard eg. in the parking place. Very uncomfortable beds.
The free upgrade to a suite!
Cool design and good breakfast. Nice new rooms and a very nice view The bar should be on the top of the hotel, not in the first floor
Nice view on the harbour, from the room and from the building top. Rather small room. Internet from the room not working.
It was gorgeous, new, modern, conveniently located, and a super value. Parking was only 6 EUR in a big parking garage (unusual for Germany). Their Strom Restaurant has excellent food, reasonably priced. The room was clean, big, well-appointed, and had a nice big bathroom and a great view. I couldn't have been happier.
Excelent breakfast buffet, wide selection of foods. View from room marvelous. First time in parking lot I had difficulty finding elevators. Security is excellent.
The location and proximity to the beach was outstanding. The hotel staff was exceptionally courteous, especially, not knowing much German. Parking was very confusing. It would be helpful for a brief explanation upon check-in.
Panorama, situation and architecture of the hotel, service at the reception. Service during diner and breakfast, lots of noise very early in the morning and very close by on Saturday by construction workers.
Location is excellent for someone visiting Bremerhaven on business or holiday. Price is inordinately high compared to other hotels in Bremerhaven. Reason for staying at Atlantic Sail is that no other rooms in 3 star or higher hotels were available. During our stay, there was a strong sewerage smell in the bathroom coming from the air circulation or plumbing system. This was not the case with the heating/AC system. A comment at the desk on checkout revealed that a number of guests had complained about the foul odor. No price adjustment was offered to compensate for having to tolerate the odor when using the bath facilities.
View, price, location. No English literature or TV, Movies.
The view over the harbour was great, the room OK. It was quiet and the bed was good. Breakfast was good. The bathroom was not really confortable. The toilet was behind the door below the shaving mirror. The shower curtain was dark, and with no light in the shower cabin I had to leave it open. And I didn't like the bedside lights.
The view was great.
No traffic directly around the hotel, several restaurants in the neighborhood, good connection to motorway and roads, fresh air at night (you can open the windows), no parking fee We expected some discount when staying several nights - no other negative points
Excellent secure bicycle parking. Receptionist very helpful giving us train information.
It was o.k. generally spoken No - although I spent just one night
Location. It was a very nice hotel sitting directly on the dock, with many ships nearby.
I was very pleasantly surprised with the good standard of the hotel. I really loved the location and access to restaurants in the vicinity. The breakfasts were the best we had in the whole of Europe during our month long trip. We had a double and a twin room and were 4 adults in total and none of us had any complaints
Fantastic views of the river. Great restaurants and museums.
I liked the scenery , the restaurants and a few shops being within walking distance. I did not like that the grounds in front of the Hotel were used for unpleassant noisy entertainment (on week-days) until midnight.
The hotel was just right, the staff were very helpful. No
Helpful reception staff
Very helpful and friendly staff with excellent English.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, too. The decor was a bit dated.
Pleasant staff and reception. Great food and lovely breakfast buffet. Close to all the action near the waterfront and Maritime Museum. Would use again. No lift for the rooms 1 to 14!
Large room and good location (walking distance) to major visitor sites. The checking in was the best reception in our various hotel stays in Europe. Restaurant served a good dinner. Bar wasn't open in hotel - not sure why, but it would have been nice if it was. Elevator does not go to all floors though meaning heavy luggage must be carried up stairs - but still liked the place.
Staff very helpful
The staff is very helpful and friendly. Location is great to City. The shower tubs were not good ( Room 70). Shower splash wall is dangerous. Do not stay in place and have to ber hold by hand during shower. Breakfast selection is very limited .
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Definately enjoyed the hotel facilities like the pool and the restaurant.
Really close to major sites in Bremerhaven. The breakfast is really nice and the hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. They should have provided free wireless internet service.
Friendly service, great price
good breakfast - convenient location
Good location, very clean, well lit. The breakfast buffet is decent and included eggs and sausages and not just meats and cheeses. Very small parking lot good for only 3 cars. If you dont get there early, you will be parking on the street.
Frendliness of staff lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room
The comprehansive Breckfast every morning ,the very frendly Hotel owners 2 brothers. and the very helpfull staff .The food in the evening was good, but too repettetive for a 3 weeks stay. it could do with a little sitting area away from your room. I would always recoment it . That it did not have a separate sitting area for long stay guests.
Friendly staff, good buffet breakfast, good location for both the hauptbahnhof and a comfortable walk to the important maritime museum. The free mini-bar in the bedroom was beneficial in the warm weather.
Very friendly staff, flexible
Friendly homely atmosphere in hotel. Only a short walk from the city centre.
Friendliness of staff
very good hotel, website does not do it justice. excellent service by all staff. rooms clean, warm and pleasent.
Excellent location; close to museums (Shipping & History museums). Lots of places to eat within walking distance. Close to main train station (7 min walk or so) and Columbus mall (20 min walk or so). Good shower. Room was small for two people, but that is typical of hotels in older buildings - so not a complaint.
The location and the view of the hotel is great. In the restaurant we ordered the Fischplatte "Deichgraf" which was wonderful. The staff was very nice and helpful. We did bring our dog and he had more than enough space in the room and on the balcony.
Location,Breakfast No Internet available for two days, No Air conditioning in the rooms, Most of the Resturant service staff inexperienced,
I didn't pay the extra for a sea view but was still amazed, what a beautiful location. I will definately stay here again, the room was perfect, the food was great and the staff very friendly. thank you for a lovely stay.
The hotel staff is very friendly and the valley parking was a plus since the parking lot is behind the "deich". The location is excellent, close to Bremerhaven and Cuxhaven, as well as to the seaside. The rooms are big and well equipped, and the balcony is inviting. You can see the big ships pass by from Bremerhaven, and the sunset was beautiful. We arrived when the temperature hit 96 deg Fahrenheit. The rooms did not have air conditioning and the seaside facing room we rented was extremely warm. It did cool down the next day to a bearable level. The hotel was under staffed, but the available staff in the restaurant/bar tried their best to keep up with demand. The kitchen is fair, could be better for a 4 star. The camping site in front of the hotel is somewhat of an eyesore, but according to the local paper plans are being made to move it to another location.
Interesting and lovely location a nice size hotel - I don't like big hotels Good friendly staff Not cheap given there is no swimming pool
Quite relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff
The hotel was new (only opened about 1 year ago) and all the furnishings were top notch. The restaurant was awesome, with the best breakfast I have had in Germany. Romantically situated on top of the sea dike with great views of the coast. The sea side rooms had nice balconies and great views. Very peaceful. No parking up next to the hotel, but there is adequate access by car and the parking is only a few hundred meters away.
The amenities of the room were of high quality. I was quite unhappy to have a room that smelled like cigarette smoke when I had requested a non-smoking room. I was told that the hotel was full so it was not possible to give us another room. I would not have booked the room had I known this.
Lovely large lean & modern rooms, great for a longer stay with excellent self catering facilities and amazing views. Staff were some of the most helpful I have come across, especially in helping me retrieve an important forgotten item left in the room after check out.
The im-jaich boardinghouse is very conviently situated, close to the Klimahaus etc. No, but less rain would have been welcome!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well kept. The boardinghouse has an excellent location: all attractions and shopping facilities are in walking distance.
Staying in this hotel is very simple and comfortable. The location of the hotel enables approach to the most interesting part of the city (Klima haus, museums etc.). No.
the service, the location
The room was very wide and clean and the staff is kind.
A brilliant place to stay, with views of the water on both sides. Excellent bistro and great staff. Very well placed for all of the fascinating museums as well as the beach and sailing.
Wonderful location for main tourist attractions. Easy transport links. Friendly, smiling, helpful, knowledgeable staff.
The hotel has a nice location on the harbor and very close to many of the sights of Bremerhaven. During my stay, there was a festival going on right next to the hotel. Loud music played until 1 in the morning, which made it difficult to sleep. Had I know this, I would not have stayed at the hotel. In addition, I had booked this room because of the kitchen facility. However, I received the room for the physically challenged without a kitchen. I was told that this was the only room left.
Walking distance from Auswanderer museum and others. It was on the water, by harbors, boats. Quiet and secluded, away from traffic and people. Rooms were relatively large and, of course, clean. We also had internet in the room!!! NO!
FYI, hotel have no open restaurant for dinner, but good Italian restaurant is in walking distance ( 10 min ).
The hotel was very nice for the price, the breakfast was excellent, the staff was very friendly and professional, there are so many good things to say about this hotel. I was very impressed!
everything was perfect
they have simple but clean rooms, lots of parkingspace and friendly reception expensive WiFi
Thr doorkey system is very confusing.
everything was perfect
Price - quality level perfect. Very friendly staff, who did excellent suggestion for Italian restaurant (Franco), which also offers perfect food for a nice price.
Very efficient, friendly staff, the room was basic but clean and comfortable with a plentiful breakfast served for a decent time period. The hotel is about 5 minutes drive from the harbourside but if you like to walk it is easily done in 30 - 40 minutes or there is a bus stop right outside the hotel with a good, regular service.
clinliness, silence, breakfast, frendliness
I was there with my wife and my 2 years old daughter. Hotel stuff was very very friendly, helped us with everything including with searching for a pharmacy at 2 a.m.! The rooms were big and clean. Location was also good, in a nice and quite place, very close to the sea and a camping place. A bit in the middle of nowhere but we enjoyed it like this. The hotel had a very nice yard. The yard of the hotel was very nice.. However, in order to make a really child friendly yard, I believe at least part of the yard should be closed with a fence (otherwise small kids can run on the street very easily. Also, a small playing ground with sand and maybe a slide would have been nice.
The lush green countryside, the quietness, the seaside and nearby town of Cuxhaven.Boarding arrangements should be made to make the stay more comfortable. The hotel lacks tea/coffee arrangements in the room. This is a must.
Clean, spacious, good price. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet had a good selection of German breakfast items. Close proximity to Cuxhaven. (10-15 minute drive)
The rooms were clean and kept up daily. The staff was courteous and helpful. The resaurant was very good. no
Warm Friendly Excellent Pleasant-incredible team! Super service-grea great food desserts and beer! You would have to be crazy not to stay here!!
It was excellent! We would recommend this to anyone. Really lovely staff. Worth the money. Clean, comfortable, quiet. Large room with comfy beds. Bathroom with both shower and bath. The best restaurant on our whole round-the-Europe-trip! A pictoresque village with lots to see and do. Only that our room had a "view" to the roof of the building, nothing else could be seen. Everything else was lovely!
. very little to like about the hotel very simple, no air conditioner, tv stinks, only a few channels, all in german, breakfast is the same every damn day, and nothing to choose from, the staff not helpfull, most of the issues i had to resolve through the internet, thank god for that which is free wifi - the only good thing, not worth the money, rooms are cleaned in the morning only, the city center is located about 25 - 30 minutes walking
Very nice big clean room. Great breakfast. Good location Very bad bed.
Very basic hotel, but has all the necessities. Free wifi and breakfast were a bonus.
Great Breakfast - very good value! Nice staff. I found the bed very uncomfortable and didn't sleep well though extremely tired. Finally slept on top of the comforter.
Would gladly stay again. Very nice business class hotel. Excellent restaurant. Friendly, helpful staff.
Location, bar & restaurant Restaurant reserved supper tables but not for guests using only breakfast. ie. Arriving back at hotel in the evening we had to wait over one hour before we could be served - some reserved tables remained empty during this period. We could have been seated and served! We made sure we didn't eat supper at the hotel from then on.
Bathroom need some refurbishing
no tea and coffe making available in the room
The hotel was clean and comfortable, with a good breakfast and helpful staff. The location--it was a 25 minute walk to the shopping district, and also far from the rail station. I took a 7 Euro taxi ride from the rail station. It was the only good hotel available at the time.
