10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rosanna, the owner/owner embodies hospitality.....engaging, genuine, helpful, and accommodating. The small boutique hotel is 1/2 a block off the Camino ... their restaurant is 3 minutes away and offers a superior a la carte menu for dinner which we thoroughly enjoyed. Very good service and better variety of Spanish wines. A welcome departure from pilgrims fare. Highly recommended!
8.3 Excellent
Cons: no lift. sensor in toilet for lights a bit irritating as it cuts off too quickly
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!! After hiking the Camino it felt good to relax here. The restaurant was also the best food i had had in 30 days!!!

Pros: Wonderful staff, good beds, good location, nice patio.
Cons: Small room, no hand soap, very small amount of shampoo and shower gel, no cup in the bathroom, breakfast not at the hotel and not great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is was a lovely oasis along the Camino. We arrived after a very tough day of hiking and were greeted warmly by Rosana and shown to a gorgeous room. We put our feet in the pool on the charming terrace and had breakfast the next morning at the hotels restaurant. Perfect stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The most comfortable place I stayed on the Camino! It was Sunday so the laundry service wasn't open, but the young man at the front desk walked me to a nearby laundromat and made sure I knew how to use it. So friendly! The breakfast was also exceptional.
Cons: The automatic light in the bathroom is annoying.
6.8 Good
Pros: Staff is awesome. Restaurant is great too.
Cons: The location is close to the Camino. It's also close to a huge music venue that had an all night rave that started at 11 pm and went until at least 6:30 am when I gave up trying to sleep. It was a Sunday so I didn't expect such loud, thumping, gyrating drum music all night long. That made me more aware that the room is small, with no closet, or I would have tried to sleep in the closet. No AC or fan. A fan could help some with white noise and the room was stuffy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very tastefully decorated, modern, clean and well located. Not on the main street but only a two minute walk to the center of town.
Cons: Excellent choice. No complaints.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The warm welcome from the owner. She spoke good English and took the time to explain everything. The room was stylish and comfortable. She agreed to a later check out time for me as I wasn’t feeling well.
Cons: The only improvement would be air conditioning.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was amazing to stay in ... Very clean and friendly great breakfast
5.8 Okay
Pros: The location is right in the way of the Camino de Santiago for this town stop, but also, Arzúa is not a very big town, it wouldn't make a big difference if it wasn't further away.
Cons: The worst part is that after our stay we woke up to find some rash and bumps in our legs and back - possibly as a result of bug bites! Also the check in time is up to 9pm, and you need to be there earlier than that. In the morning they didn't have all the breakfast options available as advertised for purchase (no eggs and bacon). The mattress is covered in a plastic-like fabric that makes it very hot when on it (you are provided with a disposable type of mattress sheet like the things they use in hospital beds - not a real one like the ones you find commonly anywhere else). They have a sort of back patio accessible through the dorms to hang clothes, but its a mess, full of other stuff. The bathrooms are not very clean, and although you won't see papers laying around it's like those haven't been moped or washed for the longest time.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food at the hostel or the bar and the pool
6.8 Good
Pros: Overall it met my needs.
Cons: Food was mediocre; noisy at night and very little character.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location. Nice laundry lines.
Cons: Door hard to open and close. Popped open if not locked... loud when people below in courtyard. Room pretty stuffy..
6.3 Good
Pros: Beautiful newer room with nice showers. Nice pool in back with great laundry facilities.
Cons: The way the private rooms are designed they have a hallway outside the rooms with a plexiglass ceiling so on a hot day the hallway is about 95 degrees. The rooms themselves face west and are unbearably hot - you cannot open the window because the sun shines right into your room until after sunset - in our case - about 10:30 at night. The room was stifling with no airflow. I asked the staff for a fan or some solution and they just shrugged their shoulders and said ‘It’s hot today.’ Unless you like sleeping in an oven, find somewhere else to stay on a hot day. A 20€ fan would at least provide some relief... too bad they won’t invest in the comfort of their guests.

Cons: Nothing negative

7.0 Good
Pros: Beautiful location, nice room. They pick you up along the Camino and drop you back off in the same location the next day.
Cons: No hot water, only tepid at best. My main reason for choosing the types of rooms that I did was to have a nice warm soak in the tub after a day's walking so this ruined the experience for me. I didn't like anything on the menu and since we were out alone in the country that meant no meal for me. I don't like to start walking on a full stomach so no breakfast either.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The welcome was wonderful and the food was superb. It’s so good this is my second time to stay!
Cons: It was quite cold - but that might have been to do with the time of year. It’s much warmer in the summertime.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Anna and Pepe were very nice and accommodating! I just asked Anna about a dish I had wanted to try and she made it for me even though it wasn’t on the menu! Great people, beautiful location looking out onto the water! They also came right away when I called them from the Camiño!
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location close to the lake perfect place to unwind after a day walking on the Camino. Staff were warm and welcoming and the food was very good home cooking at its best.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a very peaceful and relaxing spot out in the country. We were very pleased with our room and really enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant where we met two other couples who were also walking the Camino. Wonderful memories of Casa Lucas and I can honestly say it was one of our favourite places to stay on the Camino. We had a lovely breakfast in the morning before being driven back into Azura where we continued our walk. Beautiful spot with caring owners.
Cons: I really can't think of a thing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Much better than expected. Pickup from Arzua a doddle and possibility of fab lake swim a bonus.

Pros: We stayed at the room named as Pension 9 de Abril. The owner gave us a warm welcome and provided very useful tips. The room and the bathroom were excellent, clean, modern and comfortable. Very good value for money. Quiet room despite of the big windows to the main road. I would definitely stay there again.

Pros: Old manor house converted into a hotel. A little out of way of the Camino but well worth. Large quaint room but very well modernized. Great bath with bathtub! Wonderful staff and excellent home cooked meals. Loved!

Pros: Super friendly staff. Great food. Just a lil ways off the Camino. It was a great pitstop esp since I was feeling so sick and legs were hurting. The swim in the pool really helped

Pros: Beautiful place
Cons: Uphill walk to arrive at place
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful building in a lovely rural setting. Our room was hotel standard, (decor a little tired) tall windows looking over wide lawns. Sadly, opening the windows brought hornets into the room! (No harm done...) Splendid parlors, a comfortable TV lounge, wide, high hallways... palatial!
Cons: Pool was only half-filled, so we couldn´t swim. The dinner was a set Menu, nominal quality. Dining room very noisy.
7.0 Good
Pros: The structure was beautiful and furnishings very nice . Reception was very nice and warm .
Cons: Bottles Water was not provided in the rooms. Breakfast service was very bad . There was 1 grumpy person who was in the kitchen washing dishes throughout our breakfast time. For such an elegant place , I expected much better breakfast selections and much much better service .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a bit on the outskirts of Arzua (10 min taxi) and totally worth it. It’s a 17th century castle - how could you not stay here?! Beautiful grounds with a huge pool that we were happy to use after walking the Camino. Rooms were huge and had balconies with floor to ceiling windows that opened. Only suggestion (and this is for almost all of the places we stayed in Spain) put some floor fans to help circulate the air (no ac). Honestly would stay here as many times as I could. Didn’t get a chance to try restaurant. You can pack a breakfast if you’re leaving early - maybe 7 euros. We arrived early and the owner drove us into Arzua to eat after we mentioned we might walk there. The woman at the reception desk was accommodating and a lot of fun. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic castle located perfect at the country side. Good swimming pool in the garden Nice breakfast

Pros: Showers and a bathroom are nice.
Cons: The staff was kind of rude. I asked a few questions and it felt like I was asking the world of them (where the supermarket was and where do I leave the key when I check out early in the morning.). I never did get an answer... just a few eye rolls and then I was rushed up to my room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Super clean and comfortable, lovely lounge area. Quiet
Cons: There was a big fuss checking in, wanted me to leave my passport with them. Too busy in restaurant to complete paper work. Actually took 5 minutes after keeping me waiting at the bar for 15 mins

Cons: Nofhing , everything was great
7.5 Good
Pros: I did not like the sensor lights in the bathroom/toilets as they go off after about 20 seconds and one is left sitting on the toilet or using the shower in darkness!! It should go off at least after 30 minutes!
Cons: sensor lights being left on for at least 20 - 30 minutes without cutting out!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow, what a great spot! Lots of room in bedrooms and living area. Well equipped and checkin super easy and quick. Would highly recommend this property.
Cons: The timer in the light in the shower room should be longer and would be nice if washer and dryer worked, but there is a laundromat a very short distance away so not a huge problem.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location on Camino Ingles on edge of town. Very, very, clean. Huge lounge.
Cons: Pretty pointless kitchen. Microwave & teapots without anything to heat water. Coffee machine with empty coffee pod jar and no bottle opener.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was good.. Was nice to have real sheets and blankets after many days on the camino. Good location, clean, comfortable!
Cons: Kitchen has no stove, so cannot cook. But good and cheap restaurant downstairs.

7.5 Good
Pros: Location was great, staff extremely kind and welcoming and helpful, and although it did not have a restaurant, the hotel has a full kitchen for preparing your own food as well as a washer and dryer. And the hotel offers a food delivery service from a varied food menu, and the food is great! Also, the room was very comfortable, new, with stone walls and a log cabin feel to it.
Cons: There really was not anything that I did not like because the place exceeded my expectations and has the facilities that I need as a pilgrim on the Camino.

Pros: Big room and comfortable beds. Staff was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Modern, clean and comfortable room in a renovated older building, great nights sleep close enough to finish the Camino if you like the next day
Cons: Light refreshments and snacks are overpriced
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a fan in our room, the white noise as well as the cool breeze was great! Restaurant next door was pretty good, with combination plates available in the afternoon.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and comfortable and when we arrived our bags had already been taken to our room for us. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we had any questions. A kitchen is available for those who want to prepare their own meals.
Cons: The walls are incredibly thin. At one point I thought something was in our room, but it turned out to be next door plugging something into the wall on their side. We could also hear people in the next room coughing throughout the night as if they were inside our room. The one good local restaurant that we had read about on the reviews is closed on Mondays (the day we were there) which made our meal choice limited to just the albergue next door.

Pros: We stayed one night in the pension section. In other words, we had a double room with bathroom to ourselves. Clean and comfortable. It was fine for a one-night stay. Facilities to wash and hang laundry outside. We ate dinner and breakfast at the cafe 200 meters up the road.
Cons: We heard early risers (5 a.m.) moving around in the albergue section. Sound-proofing could be better.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Right on the Camino. Very clean. Quiet. Wonderful restaurant next door- Tia Teresa.
Cons: Nothing.
