One of the major advantage of this hotel is its location near subway station to major tourist attractions. In spite of its low profile exterior, my hotel room was adequate and generously supplied.
Probably for its location, hotel has almost no parking lot even for your visitors although it won't be a problem for one who uses public transportation. Moreover, the hotel is located within a gated residential area, which somewhat restricted its accessibility.
My family and I stayed in 4 rooms for 5 nights while visiting Beijing. It is not in the most touristy part of the city, but it is max 5 minutes walk to the Wukesong subway station on line 1. So the main sights can be reached easily. The hotel is in some kind of residency made of several appartement buildings, with a guarded gate at the entrance, so that only local cars and taxis can come in. To reach it from the subway, take the exit D1 or D2 of the wukesong station, then walk +/- 150 metres, leaving the subway and a big crossroad behind you. The entrance to the residency will be on your left. There is be a small grocery store near the gate. The rooms looked like the pictures, with western toilets, nice and enclosed hot shower, and comfy beds. It is quiet at night in the hotel, but at the time of our stay, there were some construction wok nearby and it could be faintly heard till midnight and from 5 am. It is possible to take breakfast downstairs for 29 RMB per person, from 7 to 9:30. It's an all you can eat buffet with chinese dishes, fruits, yogurts, eggs, some pastries and toasted bread.
The staff was friendly but could not speak english. They used a translating app but did not seem to know how to use it very good. The rooms were cleaned everyday (by friendly cleaning ladies) but they sometimes forgot to put new toilet paper rolls. Apart from that, our stay was very good and we would definitely stay there again.
The room was very comfortable (the bed was really great) and the location was super convenient for accessing the shopping/restaurant/ music venue/ arena area. It was quiet enough and the complimentary refreshments were a nice added bonus.
There was a lot of confusion about my reservation for some reason (Even though I brought the Chinese version of the booking confirmation). I only booked for one night, but when I checked out, they thought that I was supposed to stay longer? They said they had charged the card I'd booked with, so would need to refund me. Also, the reservation computers seem to have some problems/ are old. It seemed Chinese guests had an easier time because they could use an app, but for foreigners it was a little more complicated (seems to just be the case everywhere in China these days though, if you don't use a pay App or WeChat, you can miss out on a lot.)
So thoughtful! A humidifier in the room, a mosquito repellent plug-in provided, easy to use thermostat, complimentary drinks and a very mini fridge. Definitely worth the cost. Finally I liked that you need a key card to use the elevator, plus your key only works to get to your floor, so there's that extra sense of security. The hotel is right around the corner from the subway station, maybe a 2 minute walk.
I didn't like that I could smell smoke when I walked in the hallway...my sinuses are sensitive and I get headaches plus it's just annoying. This is small but one of the night staff burned my cinnamon roll in the microwave, sir get it together! Also I found a strand of hair on the bathrobe, I don't know about other people but hair, especially that doesn't belong to me... disgusts me, so tighten up on the loose hair.
The property was in a very run down area which was not mentioned in the adds in fact we got lost as the taxi driver could not find the hotel. There was only b/fast no other meals
