Pros: Absolutely fabulous atmosphere! Mama Emilia went over the moon to accomodate our needs and there was not a single thing to fault the service. 10/10 Will return for sure!
Pros: It was clean, pretty clean. Also the rooms were neat.
Cons: The cutlery was limited, i.e.there was no spoons . At Saturday night there was no hot water and one person had to shower with cold water.
Cons: At first we received the "green" room with a toilet but it was tiny so Emiliya offered the "blue" room which was larger; even though it had two separate beds which left a rather confined place and we had to use the separate bathroom with entrance from the public hall (luckily we were the only guests in the place). Non of those beds wasn't a double-bed but a one & a half size. The room has no facilities except a chair, a tiny stool with a very litle 20" old tv; not even a single night-lamp. The room has very large windows with flimsy curtains so that we were woke up very early by the morning sun light, not to mention the lake of privacy from the other neibouring house. The bathroom itself has a bathtub which also serves as a shower but it has no enclosure or a curtain thus water were flooding the room and we had to use our towels to soak them since there was nothing else, not even a single mat. We did not receive any toilet paper, soap or shampoo; luckily we had those with us. The bathtub is rusty and draining the toilet bowl requires running the water seversl times. Aldo there were no curtsins which left us exposed to peeping eyes.
Pros: The lady who opened the door for us was really nice. Made us feel at home even though we arrived late.
Cons: It was great!
Pros: The owners run family restaurant that serves deliciosu traditional meals... Very nice people. Pitty we couldn't stay longer, the whole willage is beautiful experience..
Pros: lovely friendly lady - went out of her way to book taxis for us, stored our skiis - had a problem with booking.com in that we booked for 6 people, but it came out as 5 but she swapped us to a bigger room (good job it wasn't fully booked). i had previously emailed her about 6 people and she came back saying yes we will be able to accomodate you..? I also emailed about organising ski hire and lessons but she didn't come back to me with prices so we booked our own, but when we got there she sounded like she could organise, but as we wanted lessons, we didn't want to leave it so late.
Cons: property was described as ski to door... IT ISN'T as there are no slopes nearby. Although she advertises airport shuttle, when booking.com called them prior to our visit they said they didn't so we booked our own transfer. however she did organise a taxi which was cheaper to take us back - why she couldn't have done this for the incoming trip..? Advertises they speak English, German and Russian.... well - luckily I can speak German abit so between English and German we managed, however do not expect her to understand you.... Emails took ages to be replied to - probably as they didn't understand English.. There is a restaurant however you get given a wiggly line on a piece of paper for directions and it is about a 8 min walk down a hill. The sofa bed was again small and very hard with a wooden bar accross your shoulderblades from under the mattress - not comfortable. Beds were not double - more one and a half. Sheets did not fit the bed so scrunched up and ended up sleeping on the mattress. Male owner came and turned the bath off which was running cold - after a days skiing you need a deep soak..! Toilet did not flush and we ran out of toilet paper. When you book it looks as if you get a microwave/coffee maker and kitchenette in the room - you don't. We werent shown where these facilities were - just to our room. Not suitable for a group of 2 families unless there is no one else in the other rooms as the noise we made would of upset them. Next time I will book a 2 bed appartment. ok for single or couple and for the price you can't go wrong, but if you want to ski as a family - for not much more you can stay in Borovets
Pros: Very clean and cozy place, nicely decorated. Hosts are very nice and responsive. Breakfast is prepared on order in a restaurant nearby. We visited that place for diner twice as well, delicious home made food with natural ingredients.
