The service and expecially the helpful manager, the day of arrival you can enter the hotel at 16.30 hours. When you have travelled that day for several hours it's a pity you cannot enter the hotel earlier to leave your luggage and for resting.
central location as name suggests helpful staff printed out street map for us
It is very central in a pretty little French town on the corner of the pedestrianised main shopping street. The manager came and cleaned the cobwebs from around the window (inside) after we arrived.
this hotel is very centrally situated and the manager was most obliging and spoke excellent English. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The outside appearance was alittle off-putting but the interior had a certain old world charm.Further, it is situated near the centre but in a quiet side-street.
The manager was friendly and helpful Basic facilities- not even a kettle in the room.
Very quaint and attractive area No mirror in room (only in bathroom). Breakfast poor - please..no coffee in a vacuum flask! We come to France for a French experience.
Excellent attention from patron. 2 of the 3 rooms were of a high standard 3rd room very small and hot, but at same price as other 2.
Convenient. Clean. Well priced. For what we paid there was nothing we could criticise.
None of the above really apply, it is a 'quirky' little hotel in the centre of the old town. This was my third visit.
Chateau de Chicamour was a fantastic experience! Excellent value for money, super quiet hotel, and in the morning you'll be woken up by the birds. Magic! Very relaxing. It was worth the extra 30 kms we drove to experience it!
Lovely setting, rooms tastefully decorated. Breakfast was good, lots of choice. Loved the hotel accomodations. However, dinner in the restaurant was not a big succes; grumpy waiter, very mediocre quality food.
Excellent hotel with welcoming, friendly staff. Dinner was extremely delicious and good value for money. Good location for visiting the Loire valley chateaux.
The location of the hotel Interior is old and worn down.
Beautiful, traditional small chateau in lovely grounds at a very reasonable price no tea making facilities in the bedroom, and there didn't seem to be a bar.
The helpfulness of the staff, the excellent restaurant with a menu far above any that I would have expected in a budget hotel, and a friendly bar. Great for an overnight stop if you did not want to go travelling around for a drink and a very good meal. Not in an area where you could walk to any other venues (but the facilities on site made up for this).
Excellent value for money being quiet, clean and comfortable. Room small but fine for a one night stop. Very convenient from the N77 (a good alternative to the A6in summer) Finsal signposting not clear so it isn't the esiest place to find, but persevere, its worth it
