Helpful staff Beds are too low
Views are wonderful across the vineyards, worth every extra Euro for the rooms with a view. Not at all clear that the Restaurant is a seperate business adjoining, and signs within the hotel are somewhat missleadind about how to get there. After several attempts were directed out onto the road and back in next door! Having said that, the meal was very good, and the views fantastic.
The pool is a plus The hotel is inside the village while the description makes you to believe that it is in the country. Breakfast could be better, and street side rooms are exposed to noise from the busy road in front. The colour of the carpet in the room was depressing.
The view over the vinyards was great (although the vally was full of mist one morning!) Good breakfast. Convenient to walk to the village and to visit the vinyards of the area
The Hotel is within easy walking distance of Sancerre and has excellent views of the famous vineyards.
Le Panoramic benefits from one of the most stunning views of the vineyards of the Loire valley. Knowledgeable and helpful staff are willing to help shape an individual visit to Sancerre and it's environs. They have good connections to the various vignerons in the area and are willing to arrange visits. Valley side rooms provide the best view.
OK for one night
Location and price Musty smell in bedroom
The view of the valley! Nice small town - Excellent white wine!! We missed some chairs at the terrasse.. Perhaps we had got some if we had asked? Norwegians love to sit outside with a glass of white wine from Sancerre and look at the view! Even in November!
Clean & tidy. Staff were very helpful and polite. Lovely location. Breakfast expensive.
Lovely hotel, very close to the centre of Sancerre. Nice room, friendly staff. Limited parking in front of the hotel, although plenty in a nearby square. No restaurant for evening meal, although there are restaurants very close.
Ambience and wonderfully tranquil.
Charming atmosphere and room. Staff very helpful to us as poor French speakers. Well located in Sancerre.
Located right in the centre of Sancerre, very nice room and facilities and extremely helpful receptionist, Lidit! Thoroughly enjoyed stay!!
Located in the middle of one of France's most lovely wine towns. Quite noisy rooms, with very thin walls.
The bad point was the carpet which was to hard to walk on and extremly smelly
Staff speeaks good English and made reservations for us at La Tour. The location is excellent...a short walk to the town square. The facilities are very nice except for the haybarn smell of the carpet in the rooms and upstairs hallways. The carpet in the halls and rooms would bother those of us with grass allergies.
the reception - very welcoming. the petit dejeuner was good, well planned. the room - simple yet all the comforts needed, the bathroom excellent. lack of parking for hotel but maybe if it were not so windy and cold that wouldn't have been a difficulty.
location very friendly,cleanliness& comfort.
Bedrooms were stylish Had feeling end of season. No heating and cold rooms, bathroom freezing, no welcome (owners away?) Food advertised as gourmet but very disappointing with staff that clearly wanted to go home early. Breakfast expensive.
Comfortable and very well appointed hotel. Spacious bed and bathrooms. Excellent interior design and decor. High standard of cuisine and interesting wine list in restaurant. Hotel has no parking facilities for cars which have to be parked in the square opposite or in the municipal parking a short distance away.
Room excellent Restaurant closed so we had to go out to eat in Sancerre. We should have been told at time of booking that restaurant closes on a Tuesday. Very annoying indeed
We stayed in a lovely newly apointed en suite room in this new hotel in the heart of hte village which is famous for its Sancerre wines and Crottin de Chavignol cheeses - nearby Sancerre is a delightful hilltop town
The hotel and staff were delightful. Lovely village, easy parking. Sancerre and Pouilly sur Loire not far away. Glorious countryside – take the back road to Sancerre for great scenic views. Our room was warm and comfortable; the bathroom facilities fine. We met the proprietor/manageress on a number of occasions who was friendly and helpful. We would definitely return for a longer stay next time we are in the region. Certainly worth considering.
The small village where the hotel is situated was nice. The food was good but expensive There was no view from the room as the windows were covered at all times and could not be opened
Good food in Bistro!. Nice clean room! Web site did not specify need to book table in restaurant.
A beautiful location in wine country with a cordial staff and excellent chef. The area has golf, biking from town to town by the river and canals just a delightful place. Highly recommend .
Very nice hotel, interesting different rooms, very clean and slightly romantic with a vieuw on the Loire. Good advice: ask the hotel manager where to go for dinner. No comments
I like the location and the romantic setting as well as the staff and the fact each room have its own ambiance and design back in time.
Excellent location, clean and comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff and good breakfast. None
Excellent host and staff. Nothing too much trouble. Location perfect our room was a bit dated but it is due for a refurbishment
Good location, good room, nice furniture.
The owner is strongly focused on the custumers satisfaction. You can notice that in the room. We can absolutely recommand this hotel in a friendly village. Good breakfast If you have a light sleep, keep the window shut, it can be a little noicy from the local traffic. For us no problem. Go to the restaurant the hotel owner send us to and you wil not wake up. (great restaurant)
the location of the hotel on the banks of the Loire is spectacular and I would imagine in the summer it is very special. The decorations of the rooms is also very imaginative with the use of themed rooms One down side was possibly due to the time of year we stayed (late October). The hotel appeared to be run more like a B&B with very little in the way of services and the need to know exactly what time you would be down at breakfast. I was a little confused by this as the breakfast appeared to need little prepartation.
Well organized hotel, calm surroundings, very freindly manager and helpful staff. Can be recommended. This is not a complaint, but the price for breakfast(which is good) do not animate to multiple visits.
Location was fine The Safari Themed Bedroom was rather overpowering ,but O.K. for one night!
Visit wine producers No
Very pleasant hotel;good breakfast. Reservation was made via my cHRISTIAN name so there was an anxiety about whether the booking was valid
An good old hotel, located in a nice little town, not to far from the national road to the south of france direction Clermont Ferand. The garden was very nice. A perfect bathroom. A very good atmosphere. Like in most of the france hotels the bed (1.90 m) was too short for my husband. In the town half of the restaurants were closed.
Good place to garage bicycles. Good breakfast. Great little town.
fit for purpose
secure car parking was good. Good buffet breakfast. Bed comfortable slightly shabby corridors and uninspiring decor, typical of small town French Hotel
We choose this hotel as a stop-over during our trip to the south of France. It's a simple hotel, private parking, with friendly personel, was ok for one night.
The hotel rooms were small but extremely clean and functional. An excellent location at the beach. September in Berritz may be one of the nicest places in all of France. I would do it again.
staff were freindly . situation in town is good , easy access,
This hotel provided an ideal stopping point on a long journey. It was comfortable, clean, quiet and offered a locked car park with guest access code. There was no evening restaurant available at the hotel and nearby facilities were not extensive but a wider selection of eating is available a short drive away. Breakfast is provided with a good spread available.
The staff were very friendly and the rooms were cleaned to a high standard. There was a good range of information about the surrounding area. The information in the hotel room on where to eat in Briare itself was particularly helpful as the hotel doesn't offer an evening meal. The buffet breakfast was really good and re-stocked frequently. Breakfast closed at 9.30am - would have appreciated being able to eat up to 10am.
