Restaurant was great, food and service. Lovely room, lovely sitting areas in and out, and nice bar area too.Great for a stopover albeit we could have stayed longer and made use of the massage services. No.
Personnel reception as well as bar/restaurant was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was exceptionally good as well as the restaurant (service as well as kitchen). Eventhough we were the only guests for two days we had excellent service. We were sorry not to have been informed beforehand that the outside of the hotel was not ready yet - unfinished terrace, gardens not done yet. On two weekdays we were the only guests as hotel as opened two months ago.
Very nice surroundings, dinner was very good and very reasonable, breakfast was superlative, and the price was very, very reasonable as well, though 20 Euros extra was added to the price because of the third bed added to the room, even though this was supposed to be free of charge. Still a good value. Room was beautiful and extremely peaceful. Copious lounge space throughout the lobby of the hotel. Very relaxing feel. It was disappointing that the pool was not available for guests to use free of charge. Using the springwaters for 2 hours required the purchase of a 23 Euro ticket. Landscaping somewhat unfinished and the approaches to the hotel are quite barren.
Nice indoor swimmingpool and nice rooms
Large, clean room with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Good facilities, lots of parking and very good breakfast buffett. Spa expensive - would be good to have a discount for hotel guests.
We booked at this spa/hotel as a stopover on our trip. A bargain price through booking.com, which was absolute value for the money. Very friendly and helpful staff, nice and clean rooms, nice breakfast. Everything we needed, great! Oddly enough, we'd never go there for its spa. It is a self-contained resort, yet it does not take advantage over its surroundings: no outside pool, no garden, etc. Once inside, you could very well be on planet Mars. Decorated in a rather strange fashion which alters between modern design, traditional, and bad taste. We can only comment on the inside pool and not the thermal features, but it was small and dark, and the thermal part did look very small compared to the size of the hotel. Also, if you are traveling with babies or children, be prepared to receive some rather hostile looks from other guests (not the staff, who were very friendly!) ... you know, people that don't like children's presence, regardless whether they're quiet or not.
The room was very nice with a separate alcove with the TV and a sofa and 2 chairs. The only negative was that we couldn't get WIFI in our room. We could get it just out side the door. Our room was at the far end of the hall. It wasn't a problem for us. We downloaded our email while having a drink on the terrace.
The owners, Carlos and his wife Carmen, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Excellent meals, personally prepared, cooked and served by the owners with a full explanation of what we were eating. Comfortable and spacious room. Nothing negative to report.
The hotel staff made our stay so confortable and wonderful. The room was beautiful and typical from the region. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, and we were teached on how to make a traditional Catalan breakfast. The Catalan experience was amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Our stay at Hotel fonda Cal Blasi was wonderfull. The host was very amiable and eager to provide service and information. We dined at the hotel each night and were treated to real home style catalan cooking. The room was excellent and the facitiies provided were perfect.
The hotel is located in the old walled city with free parking conveniently located nearby. It is immaculately clean with updated rooms. Our room was larger than most European rooms and also had a very large bathroom and a balcony The best part of our stay was the warm welcome from our hosts. Our breakfast was included and was fabulous. We had dinner there the first night and it was so good and such a wonderful value that we immediately arranged to have dinner the second night. Our host also suggested an all day itinerary in the area that we throughly enjoyed.
Very friendly staff, make you feel at home. Breakfast is great quality
All The staff were very helpful the service was very good. I stayed half board, the food was excellent and even all drinks at the meal table were included in the price. Mostley only Spanish spoken by the staff but with the help of a phrase book, hand signs and smiles we got on very well. I had nothing to complain about and would stay there again
Spacious room, easy parking, friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast included in room rate. None. Visitors might want to be aware that the hotel is near a busy main road, but it is set back behind gardens, so that really wasn't a problem.
Wonderful location for touring around a very picturesque area. In the centre of one of the wine denominations. Hotel supposedly renowned for excellent restaurant, but we were a little disappointed.
a warm welcome and a pleasant dinner of delicious local specialities
The staff were pleasant. The history of the hotel was interesting. The decor of the public rooms was spectacular. The gardens were pleasant and relaxing. Fire doors were wedged open and not on the magnetic release system. The road noise. Beds were uncomfortable. Meal on the last night seemed to be reheated.
Very friendly staff. Large bedrooms and good bathrooms. In a pleasant area close to the centre of town. Good generous breakfast. The half board evening meal was very disappointing especially as the a la carte menu looked good.
Really nice small hotel. We had a room with a gorgeous view over the monastery of Poblet. Early in the morning we could hear the bells ring and even the monks chant. It's a really nice location, close to Poblet, but also for beautiful hikes through mountains and olive and vineyards. Hotel has a nice and friendly staff. Very good price for beautiful place. It's a bit hard to get to without a car. There is a train station in nearby village which is a hour walk, but from there you are within one and half hour in the center of Barcelona.
Hotel's surroundings and peace of location. Despite the apartment's conditions are all fine and refurbished, some painting would be recommended. As our place had chimney, walls were quite dirty. Daily room-cleaning is an addtional service and has to be paid separately.
The breakfast was quite good, and you had a good selection of food and hot and cold beverages It looked neglected and with only another couple there deserted. There was no bar and we had been led to believe there was a restaurant which did not exist. We had to travel 3 miles to get and evening meal and after travelling 245 miles to get there we found this very dissapointing
Lovely setting, fresh country air, pleasant surroundings and friendly staff.
The people were extremely friendly and helpful. The Hotel was extremely interesting and very Spanish. Room was very clean and facilities also.Very good breakfast. Very relaxing and friendly on every point.
Clean, nice spot, cheap, good value for money The hotel was nice and clean but there was a wedding which prevented a nice and relaxed sleep; lots of noise; don't know why staff from restaurant needs to have salsa music playing and played so loud in order to do their tasks; when we arrived at lunch time the noise was there (nothing to do with the wedding) and when all the people from the wedding had gone there was still this huge noise; it damaged the relaxing nature of the spot; because of the wedding the restaurant of the hotel was closed for lunch and dinner on the day we arrived;
It"s old world character
Although out of season staff very welcoming and an excellent overnight location when visiting the interesting monastery of Poblet No evening meal on Mondays, but unfortunately the nearby hotel that staff recommended was also closed: it would have been helpful if more helpful information could have been given
there are three monasteries close by and it is not that far from barcelona. if you want to see poblet and santa cruz, this is your place. these monasteries are absolutely worth a day in spain. we stayed two pleasant nights. no complaints
