The location is really good - handy for the ferry and not too far from the beach. My room looked out over the pier, which was really fantastic. I would definitely stay at the hotel again because of its location and price. There were two downsides for me. The shower head was too low to stand under and the matress wasn't very comfortable in one place, as it had a lump in it. However, as I only had a short stay in the hotel, this was not a big deal.
Location, staff freindlyness and food that was tasty and value for money. We were above the bar which had live music that went on till 2am. No double glassing so any noise in the street was heard in the bedroom.

Both my wife and I were very impressed with the hotel, the staff were extremely helpful and could not do enough for you, they were, without exception, always friendly and ready to help. The room was superb and the whole hotel had an extremely comfortable atmosphere. Yelf's is a perfect example of how a hotel should be, where you are treated as people and not commodities

I liked the location, very central, and I also liked the quiet situation of my room with even a partial sea view. There was no shower in the bath, so I couldn't wash my hair. The TV didn't work, neither did the socket next to the kettle, which meant I had to put the kettle on the carpet.

There was plenty of room as I had single occupancy of a twin room The decor in the public areas was worn and faded.
It was very handy to the hovercraft and main street. The breakfast was quite basic English cooking/produce. The decor of the hotel was in need of a revamp.

Hotel room was very clean and staff were very friendly and informative. Cofee making kettel was very old and rusty. I think, it's right time for the hotel manaagement to get new kettels.

The treatments that we had were excellant along with the leisure facilities. The size and layout of room 17 was very good. the breakfast was very nice. Not so much did not like, rather needs attention: the cleanliness of our room. We moved the coffee table to find that it had clearly not been moved for some time, therefore only hoovered around it, underneath it was filthy! Food crumbs! The skirting boards and furniture edges were rather dusty. Not great for a 4* hotel.

Lovely location, friendly staff, good decor, very nice breakfast buffet. Excellent parking facilities starters were delicious and one of our main course was also delicous. Restaurant staff seemed very new and Insufficiently trained and always seemed very nervous. Food not cooked to my request, steak ordered medium rare, got medium is was over cooked. The menu had an excellent write up of the beef but it was very poor and did not live up to my expectations. Also we were not given dessert menus after 15 mins of waiting so we left. I feel that the chef on hearing my complaint would have offered an apology or sent an apology at least.
Room was actually very pleasant. Fast and free wifi which was a bonus. Staff not very friendly, and were inconsistent in their approach to people. No explanation of where things were. No mini bar in room (apparently a suite but not convinced as the other 'suites' had names on and mine didn't) which was strange, but meant I had to order from Room Service meaning that a coke would've cost over £5! Room was stifling hot on arrival with no opening windows. Breakfast wasn't what I ordered. Very overpriced for what it was.

Arelaxing annual experience with our grown up children for Xmas shoppinh on the I o W. excellent location There were several little things - 2 cyups and 1 saucer on tea tray for 2 days, 1 bath towel, broken door lock, evening meals average only etc etc. also residents could not get any spa treatment bookings.
Everyone was very friendly, the room and shower room was warm and clean. Just can't say enough good about them!! Only one......If I were pushed to find a fault, It would be the rubbish in the back garden, but that's a mute point as we were not there in the day time.
Sorry i dont have anything positive to comment on the hotel. The asst manager was friendly, but the hotel is clearly geared to cater for a much older client base and this is not pointed out on the website. The facitlities and decor look old and tired and hotel is in dire need of redecoration. The hotel has no internet connection and the TV in the room had terrible reception. The hotel needs to be modernised in order to attract new customers.Breakfast was a poor standard and no variety. I would never stay there again.

all very nice, but more aimed at the older market lack of parking meant we had to park on the street one night and my car had its wheel trims stolen.
The excellent manageress. She was great, really looked after us and made us feel very welcome. The only thing I would like to see improved is the shower cubicle tiling. It needs refurbishing and re-grouting.
Not a lot No reception staff. On arrival, after a 6hr journey, at 1950hrs, was told that the chef had gone home. Room cleaned only superficially during stay. Dining room staff (one of them) very surly. etc etc

lights didnt work, shower had no hot water, bed was so uncomfortable that we thought about sleeping in the car, the headboard was marked hevily with dirt from peoples hair, the shower dripped constantly and there was a hole in the wall. My single room was of a good size. The room and the hotel was very clean. All staff were friendly. Would recommend this hotel
clean rooms, short walk into town a few too many old people so entertainment and everything was aimed at older poeple.
good room rate stopped serving dinner very early [think it was 19;45 when i asked for a menu] ,had to go out and find somewhere [nice Indian bombay palace ryde ].breakfast again spoiled by a cheap economy sausage,
