8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful decor, thoughtful extras, luxurious interior. Communal lounge and sundeck lovely, full English amazing, mostly saw Tony, a great host.
Cons: Although the room said road view, I hadn’t actually realised until I arrived that the patio doors opened inwards with no nets, so if you open the doors there are people walking their dogs within 10 feet of your bed straight in front of you! Only way to have a shower is with curtains fully closed. To be fair rereading the description is does say road view, but car noise 10 feet from your room from around 7 in the morning was not a restful stay, despite wonderful hosting and decor.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The view and room
Cons: The jacuzzi wasn’t working properly

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent for catching a bus to where ever you want to go to on the Island. The surroundings are lovely, some really stunning views of the Creek with boats moored. A pub nearby with serves very reasonably priced food. The breakfast at Ivy Hall is second to none - cooked to perfection and served with a smile. The room was beautifully decorated and furnished and the bed was so comfortable. In the en suite, the walk in shower was amazing - a real power shower! Overall our 3 night stay was excellent and we couldn't have asked for better or more friendly service. Deborah goes out of her way to make you feel welcome.
Cons: Because we live in a very quiet location, we struggled a little bit with traffic noise from the main road that runs past the Hotel, however, it was exceptionally hot during our stay, so we really had to have all the windows open to stay cool. When the window were closed you could hardly hear the traffic at all.

Room to park at the hotel car park. Definitely have plans to visit in the future!

We had room 8 and it was just as described but then there were the extras like the fridge with even a jug of cold water and a pint of fresh milk to make a cup of tea or fresh coffee. Air con and even a hot water bottle in the event it was cold. The best however was yet to come, an outdoor heated pool and hot tub !!
Cons: There was nothing to dislike. Nothing to find any fault with at all
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed. Air conditioning unit very welcome. Great shower in bathroom.
Cons: The shower in the next bedroom made a considerable amount of noise in our room. Perhaps ours had the same effect in theirs. That is particularly unpleasant when trying to go to sleep at night. Also the noise from the main road especially when vehicles revved engines when waiting at the traffic light. Obviously that latter point is outside the control of Oaklands because the owners have installed double glazing to minimize the noise.
7.5 Good
Pros: Lovely friendly helpful lady
Cons: The busy road outside Although the room had great double glazed windows which kept the noise of the traffic out and lovely air con which meant u could keep windows closed at night and still kept nice and cool

Pros: We got our room upgraded for free as my partner is tall and the owner decided to give us the super king room it was beautiful, he also got croissants in as I asked if they were on the breakfast menu and he didn’t have them but the next morning he got them for me. We were given our own front door key so we could come and go as we pleased we were the only people staying in the hotel at the time it was lovely and quiet perfect Infact.

Eggs, bacon, sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans available cooked to order. There was also a wide range of fruit teas available. There is a large lounge available for guest use.
Cons: Room was not cleaned/tidied every day.

Pros: The hotel was away better in reality than on the pictures. Berry is AMAZING! He has been the whole time very kind and helpful. We booked for a standard double room and when we arrived he told us we could join a bigger room as it was free while we were staying, without paying any difference. Amazing service and amazing atmosphere.
Cons: We loved everything!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very warm, amenable host, Barry, who helped us with any queries. Very good breakfast options. Hassle free throughout. Location in terms of driving to places was convenient.
Cons: Cramped bathroom. Very hot at night but was provided with fan when asked. Location a little too residential. Pricey for what I was expecting
