Pros: Lovely location and we enjoyed borrowing the bicycles to cycle round the local area with some tips from Bruno.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped with an excellent bathroom. Breakfast was well presented and exceptionally good with healthy and wholesome food.
Cons: Unfortunately the upper part of the village was undergoing extensive roadworks which detracted from the outside view of the surroundings. Obviously this was beyond the control of the owners and would only be temporary.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay here. Bruno was very friendly and when we left my husband left his jacket and belt back. Bruno was kind enough to mail it to address we were staying next at no cost to us. The rooms were very spacious and very clean.
Cons: No complaints actually.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The host and hostess were charming, friendly and made us very welcome. The room was large, clean and very well equipped. We had tea had coffee making tv and toiletries as well as a lovely large bed.Our table d'hote meal was delicious and plentiful - 4 courses accompanied by local wines. We had an aperitif beforehand when we were able to meet fellow guests and get to know more about the house and location. We would definitely recommend La Dixmeresse and are likely to return. Plenty of local information available for guests and the host was very knowledgeable about the Loire region and wines. Its a quiet location too. A superb breakfast included in he room price with fresh local produce. The hosts make a point of locally sourced produce where possible. Thank you Bruno and Valerie!
Cons: Nothing, although would prefer a shower rather than a bath.

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were amazing. This is how I imagine the countryside in France. Amazing dinner, highly recommended! The accommodation is set up like a 5* hotel, everything in order and perfectly placed/positioned. Never seen a private apartment to be set up like this. All respect!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed this place very much Attitude and service of the owners Clean and neat rooms, excellent breakfast We'll come again Thanks Valerie and Bruno
10.0 Excellent
Pros: When you go to Loire there’s the wine, food and biking through the countryside. Then there’s Valerie and Bruno, our hosts who made the trip magical. There’s so much to write but the main point is that we will return and advise everyone we know to stay here. Here you can rent bikes during the day and visit vineyards and restaurants on the river and in the evening you are offered to have dinner with wine tasting at Valerie’s and Bruno’s home adjacent to the hotel.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cons: Can’t think of anything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A fantastic property in a nice quiet location. The hosts, Bruno and his lovely wife were welcoming, helpful and ensured that our stay was perfect. Bruno is an excellent chef and he offers an opportunity to eat in the house. The menu was imaginative and so well prepared. He also introduced us to a range of wines that complimented each course perfectly. It was also a great opportunity to meet the other guests staying. I would really recommend doing this if it fits in with your dates; it was also excellent value for money. Bruno also helped us book a restaurant on one of the other evenings we were staying. A fantastic choice (he also provided a map) and it gave us the chance to enjoy more of there fantastic cuisine. A really fantastic place to stay. Exceptionally clean, comfortable beds and a perfect host.
Cons: Nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Set in a quiet back street the venue could easily be missed once you enter the garden all is peace and calm. The rooms we booked were everything you would hope for with the added bonus of access to the kitchen which is a great place to sit chat and drink wine. The owner was superb delivering fresh breakfast treats each morning and offering brilliant advice on days out restaurants etc. All in all we had a fantastic break and would definitely stay again in fact it was such a success my mother in law is considering a move across the Chanel. I must also add that I left some items of property in my room upon departing. With out any fuss or request of payment the hosts posted these on to my home address another example of the brilliant service and hospitality we received

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was very charming, as was the host. He lugged my bags up the twisty staircase so I didn't have to. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious...we had everything we needed. Breakfast was clearly very important to the host who made home-made delights for breakfast, fruit compote and home made jams to go with the warmed croissants and very nice bread. Coffee was great, my husband thought tea with hot milk was a little strange but everything else was wonderful. We were sent off with a pot of selected home-grown tomatoes. The view of the Loire river at the end of the street was gorgeous and shouldn't be missed.
Cons: Nothing at all to dislike.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An extremely cozy and comfortable place. Sebastian (the owner and main manager) is very friendly, quiet, and practical person ready to help with any question. The house is right at the Loire river, and after sunset we went to sit at the bank to have a glass of red, look at the moon reflection, and speak with frogs. An amazing experience!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quirky, unusual, artistic place to stay
Cons: Premises could only be accessed through the host's house. This was not an issue for us however as we had only one overnight stay and host was very pleasant and helpful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant, quirky house. Spotlessly clean with a fantastic host. Great location on the banks of the Loire
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was like a beautiful artwork, full of exceptional furniture, glassware, statues, plants/flowers - all arranged perfectly by Sebastian the owner. An absolute delight to visit. Each morning we had fresh croissants, an excellent assortment of bread, home made jams, from the owners garden. The real treat was having a different and exquisite set of china each morning to eat the very French breakfast on. It’s the most interesting hotel I’ve ever stayed at - a truly visual treat.
Cons: I wish the local restaurant next to the hotel, overlooking the Loire hadn’t been fully booked, it was recommended.... next time maybe.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Unusual accommodation in the top of the building, very charming, and wonderfully decorated. Location is next to a river with great walking along bank.
Cons: The entrance door was a little difficult to find at first, and the parking is round corner from building in a public area but is a safe and quiet location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A peaceful location a few metres from the river Loire with views to a tree lined river bank. The whole accommodation was wonderfully decorated with many interesting objets d'art and beautiful little courtyard gardens. It was spotlessly clean. The host was extremly helpful. The breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious, made with produce from the hosts garden.
Cons: Northing (apart from the weather was very hot!)

Pros: A hidden gem of the loire! Beautifully located just on the river in a tranquil, location. Short journeys by bike or car to Montsoreau, Chiron, Samur or Azay etc. Lots of space for the car and bikes. The interior is eclectic and immaculate. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless. We had the opportunity to have an evening meal with the owner which was an absolute joy. Sebastien has such an attention to detail in everything he does. We hope to return next year!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A magnificent Chambre d’Hotes. Beautifully and cosy decorated ! Rooms were very clean. Breakfast is a feast. A lot of personal care and touch makes it a fantastic start of the day. The hosts are very friendly and service minded. Their tips on the environment and ‘to-see’ things have been splendid.
Cons: Everything was fine. Please note that the village is very small with limited shops or restaurants.

Pros: Location, friendly host, use of kitchen,
Cons: Gravel driveway was difficult with motorbikes
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment we arrived it was clear this was a good one. The owner Bene welcomed us, gave us maps, showed us restaurants and making te booking for us. The room was huge, upstairs in a converted barn. Comfortable bed and plenty of room to sit. Excellent bathroom too. Outside you can sit in the sun surrounded by vines as far as the eye can see, with the church steeple of St Nicholas de Bourgueil on the horizon. The breakfast is exceptional. The first morning Bene made us pain perdu - a bit like French toast with brioche - and the second day there was a homemade hazelnut cake. Add to that quality bread and homemade jams, fruit including delicious grapes and strawberries from the garden, fab. Breakfast is at a large table, on our own the first day and then with a group of four Americans on a cycling holiday. Unusually for a chamber d’hote there is a kitchen which can be used bulky guests - we didn’t, but for those staying longer or on a tight budget it’s a great facility. Highly recommended
Cons: Nothing, but a couple of things to note. A car is essential as it’s in the countryside. Also, the steps up to the room are quite steep, so I’d recommend that anyone with mobility problems requests a ground floor room.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The chateau is stunning, set on beautifully manicured gardens. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with the sense of grandeur that you would expect. The dinner was immaculate, beautifully presented, delicate French cuisine.
Cons: In the literature is says the dinner is 52 euro. If you don’t speak French this is misleading as in fact, the food is a regular a la carte menu. We were never offered this menu and I’m not sure if it exists. They should perhaps update the website and the listing in the room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was peaceful and quiet. The surroundings were lovely.
Cons: One or two of the staff could have made more of an effort. Didn't like the separate entrances for the toilet and the washing facilities.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Cleanliness, roof-windows were nice. Wi Fi was good. The kitchen is well equipped. Drying rack for clothing is good as well
Cons: The hostess could not speak any words in English, so we used our fingers for communication. The property we have booked is named "One bedroom house", but it is not! It is just very small Studio apartment in the attic. When we came we have immediately checked the photos and property description on Booking.com. Photos are shown only parts of this Studio, but you cannot imagine the size of the room using this pictures. I added some of them in my feedback for others guests. The stairs to this attic studio does not have any handrail so it could be dangerous for older people or children. The table in the dining area is too high. Garden view means just parking area view and the outdoor furniture is directly on the parking. I added photos with view of the entrance to the Studio (the door in the roof), the view from the outdoor dining area and the view of the whole apartment from the bed.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Hosts were very helpfull !

Pros: Unique experience to stay in treehouse - the owner was very accommodating when we arrived later than planned as we cycled to the property
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely everything... this place is a little gem, reminds me of the Simpson's mucho relaxo!!! We stayed on a boat sitting on the bank of the loire... after being pampered to a 30 minute sauna, jacuzzi and 30 minute full no say massage!! Treated with a beautiful aperitif of local products and some bubbly. We spent the evening using the binoculars provided to scout out the local wildlife, of which there is an abundance!! From the fish, to the otters, beavers, birds, ducks, geese and hidden critters along the river. It was actually the best place we stayed on our journey and I cannot recommend it enough. Selma was a pleasure to deal with and extremely accommodating also. Eating breakfast to the misty rise of the sun on the Loire... what more could you want from life.
Cons: My poor decision not to stay longer!!

Pros: The owner was very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We arrived earlier than expected because of the heatwave but she welcomed us in and showed us around. Good breakfast each morning, beautiful gardens with swimming pool. Really clean and tidy location.
Cons: It's a little bit away from the nearest town which is Langeais so this meant that one of us couldn't really enjoy a glass of wine with dinner as we had to drive. Credit cards are not accepted as payment so make sure you have got cash from the bank before you settle the bill.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Relaxing in the garden on arrival and being able to swim in the pool was lovely. Our hostess cooked us a 4-course meal with champagne, wine and coffee for €30 each. Room was small but could use the garden and all meals were served in the airy conservatory

Pros: Nora and Sam are great hosts. This summer is/was very hot in Europe and the pool was just perfect for us and the kids. The dog Maya is super sweet and the kids loved her right from the start. We had dinner at the Cafe and it was straight out awesome - Sam is a great Chef - my wife still talks about her meal. Noteworthy is also the wine cellar. You go and pick you own wine, which is very modestly priced. Before we left we could enjoy a great breakfast - I believe it was the only time, our kids ate to get their tummy’s full on the entire trip Hope we’ll have the chance to come back to Cafe de la Promenade!!

Cons: At first glance it appears a little tired but improvements seem to be on-going.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent and breakfast included was a great treat. Being able to bring breakfast up to your room for breakfast in bed was amazing:)
7.0 Good
Pros: Good modern bathroith shower and bath
Cons: room was rather small. food was mediocre. This auberge is on busy road and early morning rush hour is very noisy. no air-con so if hot open windows means noisy traffic. I would recommend you try and get a room at the rear of the hotel where it may be less noisey.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The big room for 5 persons was very nice and comfortable. Close to some castles.
Cons: The restaurant was closed at 9-10 pm, and the nearest one was at a distance of 5 km.
6.3 Good
Pros: They had a room with 3 beds for the family, one of the few (if any) that offered this in the area.
Cons: There were bugs in the room, room was very small.
6.8 Good
Pros: Convenient location and secure storage for bicycles.
Cons: Room 302 is directly above a bar and the noise from downstairs went on until 2:30 in the morning. Sleep was not possible.
6.3 Good
Pros: The Auberge was exactly as described as was very good value for money. The staff were welcoming and keen to help. We stayed for dinner which was good and very popular.
Cons: We were not given the room we had requested but this was resolved quickly and without difficulty.
