Pleasant hotel staff. quiet rooms. central for Torre Del Mar and its facilities.
We had a large clean room; atmosphere is luxurious. Pool was already closed despite outside temerature around 25 degrees (October). Breakfast is very very minimal, even for spanish standards. We stayed only 2 nights, and if we stayed longer we certainly would have to have breakfast elsewhere.
Comfortable spacious room. Excellent location close to beach and restaurants. Short distance from Malaga/Nerga.
It was incredible value for money No
Air condition was working but inadequate
relaxing atmosphere nice food friendly staff clean rooms very helpful spacious rooms
The staff were very friendly. The rooftop pool was larger than others I,ve experienced and the food was ok.
I Liked the size of the rooms and bathroom facilities. The dinner was poor and the breakfast.
The hotel in itself is fine. I did not like the location of the hotel. You need to keep your curtains closed during the stay because you are too close to other buildings. The nighttime is very noisey.I suggest the rooms need to be doubled glazed better.
The views from our balcony were fabulous, & its proximity to the beach is convenient. The buffet breakfast is also great. The room was a little smaller than the one we stayed in last year, & there was no minibar.
The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The beds were not comfortable and the coffee was dreadful.
Clear rooms, comfortable beds. Food was not good - the plates and glasses at breakfast were dirty. Exact same offer every morning.
Comfortable room & good food A lot of noise travelled up the open stair well. The addition of a kettle & hospitality tray in the room would be good.
good weather, having a balcony, receptionists very helpful one in particular sp0ke very good english and was very pleasant bed not very comfortable mattress a bit hard
We really enjoyed the rooftop entertainment area, with the jacuzzi, sunbeds etc.The hotel staff were all friendly and the room was clean and good size with bathtub and balcony. Location was also excellent, one street back from the beach, which was still close enough to put you in the thick of the action (restaurants, shops etc)
Great sunroof with jacuzzi baths, central location, friendly and helpful staff. The quality of the breakfast is sub-standard compared to the rest of the services. Somewhat overpriced.
Very central. Muy cerca para todo
It was pretty much what I was expecting for the price Although equipped with a good machine, one evening at 11 pm the bar girl would not provide a coffee when we returned after a meal out, as she had cleaned it for the night! This seemed strange as it is the time most Spanish go out for the evening
The best for us was the large out-door pool. The hotel name indicates spa and Luxury and we expected a quite, comfortable and wellnes oriented hotel. But we missed all of it. It might be a perfect hotel for large families which looks for "all inclusive" and likes to enjoy (and make) loud noise - not only by children. Unflexable stuff, Mini Save only available against 4,30 Euor per day made our stay not very enjoyable.
This is supposed to be a luxury hotel. They certainly charge luxury prices especially at the weekend when we found the price doubled. The hotel boasts 2 luxurious buffet restaurants but says that both restaurants are only open during peak season. It does not mention that the à la carte restaurant is closed unless they have 80% occupancy so you end up with buffet every night which is very average to say the least. In fact most of the hotel facilities are closed unless they have 80% occupancy. It’s as if they decide that it’s not worth making the effort unless they are 80% full which with the Spanish currently in recession will not be easy. To say that this hotel is big is an understatement. I’ve stayed at smaller hotels in Vegas. The 2 ice machines were broken. It advertises air-conditioned rooms but we went at the beginning of May and they hadn’t turned it on. It was hot! The hotel is designed as a castle square with two outdoors pool arrangements. The one inside the hotel walls is a huge labyrinth of themed pools which kids will love. Outside to the back of the hotel is one of the best looking infinity pools I’ve seen. The problem with the infinity pool is the bar is closed unless 80% full. You have to long walk back through the hotel and out to the only bar which is open. The daytime or evening entertainment is non existent unless it’s 80% full unless you count bingo as entertainment! Oh and you really will have trouble finding it even with satnav.
The staff were happy and very willing to help with even the smallest of problems . Very relaxed atmosphere for me and my family . I do not have any complaints my stay was thoroughly enjoyable .
The room was good and the swimming pools and surrounds were very good. There were only buffet restaurants open and no opportunity for a light meal.
beautiful pools and garden
The infinity pool and the landscapping even thou all the fountains were switched off and the position of the hotel the room was nice and well equiped.but laking in toiletries for 4 star. The dinning room and the food was not nice and the plates were not washed properly chipped glasses and cracked cups sloppy run operation it let down the hotel , for that reason I would not go again, our saving grace was the Calaballo Restaurante below ,the hotel
Beautiful setting. excellent swimming pool facilities. The hotel is not clearly sign posted. Even with GPS, had trouble finding my way.
Compact and basic but clean room with lovely balcony overlooking the water. Majority of guests and people on the beach were Spanish so good location to get away from foreign tourists. Downside of it being away from the main tourist trap is that It is a about 30-45min drive from the airport, so if arriving late it will often be cheaper to rent a car than get a taxi.
The staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. The room was just as we would like. You could not fault the food either in quality or quantity. The location is right on the beach which suited us. The old railway which used to run along the coast is converted to a 'Paseo' (walking prom and is idyllic) and it is right outside the hotel. We could not fault the hotel in any way and would highly recommend it to anybody. Only one word of caution; it is a spanish hotel for spanish people so some knowledge of the language is needed
Good location, central for Rincon, beach view, relaxing, near bus stop for going back to Malaga. Clean rooms. There was not a hot breakfast and more choice for vegatarians would have been nice.
easy acess and wonderful sea views also a great nights sleep
Good sea views hundreds (Hundredsof square kilometres) Staff were helpful and friendly, and the rooms clean. Not from my own point of view.If you are looking for a typical spanish family owned this could be the hotel for you.
We were right on the beach with a great view. There is plenty to do at night time with many bars and restaurants right along the beafch front. Our air conditioner was basically worthless. It "worked" but did not cool the room at all. We were better off leaving the door open to get the breeze.
Very comfortable hotel right on the beach. Good promenade for walking along the front. Restaurant food good. Dinner very reasonable and nicely served. Good choice at buffet breakfast. Friendly staff. Would definitely go back. Good value for money.
Great location on the seafront at Rincon de la Victoria. Rooms overlooking the sea have balconies with seating from which to enjoy the view. Poor restaurant. Limited choices and the cooking varied from indifferent to bad. Plenty of other restaurants locally, though.
Room was very clean and the staff was very attentive. Most staff members spoke some english or made every effort to find the answer.
Well placed to commute to all the main towns, areas and facilities. At breakfast time you were left to make up your own mind as to what the procedures were and no assistance was given by the staff. However, the breakfast choice was satisfactory.
convenient for beach and town nothing is perfect and I waqs there to enjoy myself not nitpick
Sit on the balcony and see the sea. Sound travels
Difficult to find the hotel as name is not easily seen from thr road outside the hotel.
excellent location, friendly helpful staff, 24 hr access would like tea/coffee making facility in room
very clean well decorated throughout my room had beautiful tiled bathroom, good sized balcony, wifi and lift. Great unrestricted sea view and good staff. This hotel gives a high level of quality better than some 4 star hotels. my room had a T fall that meant that if had been with my wife she would have to shrink to 1.5 meters which is not indicated by description.
Lovely hotel in a great position over looking the promenade and very close to bars and restaurants
I enjoyed the close proximity to the beach and the view of the promenade from the hotel front door. .I didn't have a room with a view of the beach. The room was rather small and cold in the evening. I was disappointed and surprised there were no tea and coffee-making facilities in the room.
Well placed, sea views, easy parking nearby. Free internet. Friendly staff
clean, friendly and excellent value for money, really enjoyable stay, would highly recommend this hotel. there ws nothing not to like
The location is superb, parking was not difficult. The recption was excellent and the room was very clean and well appointed. Overall a very good hotel.
We liked very much the whole set-up of the place, the atmosphere, the size of the room and the bathroom, the whole furniture, the pool etc. Dinners were not enough varied and too expensive.
the surroundings wanted more choice on the menu and the bathroom was abit smelley
The quietness, the ambience Finding the hotel
Fantastic room. Beautiful property and grounds. A great alternative for those who want/need to be close to Malaga but don´t want to stay in the city. Also a great alternative for those wanting a more tranquil experience. Breakfast was average. For the class of hotel, I would have expected a more special breakfast.
Nice & peaceful location. Friendly staff. Good facilities in general for the price. Not difficult to find as stated by some of the other guests. The menu even though limited in choice consisted of excellent food. We read some comments by former guest that meals were expensive. Our view is different, as EUR 20 for a 3 course meal per person is, we believe, cheap! We will certainly return!
Hospitality of employees
It's peaceful, it's beautiful too, but it needs touching up and fixing up. Breakfast was very simple, even coffee was instant from a packet. Why? Because the perculator was broken. Want to have lunch or dinner, you need to mention so in advance, even though they can't inform you what the menu will be nor the price.
Good sea views No lift and very noisy. Breakfast a bit of a fiasco as you had to go to another hotel a few minutes walk away. The only member of staff on duty in Las Americas did not know the breakfast times and there was no information in the bedroom. We had to explain who we were at the other hotel who misunderstood us at first.A slip of paper to be handed in would have been preferable.
Hotel Las Americas is an excellent choice for a beach and town holiday in Torre del Mar,. It is very near the seaside and there are plenty of good shops and restaurants close at hand. I enjoyed walking along the promenade which will be even better soon due to a complete renovation project presently in progress. The hotel was very clean, my room was comfortable and the staff were exceptionally helpful. The lady in charge even offered to carry my rather bulky luggage upstairs for me ! The seaview from my balcony was really superb. Altogether I was very pleased with this great value hotel booking.
excellent value for money, staff very friendly and helpfull,
The room was fairly large and spacious. The hotel had character. The location was great, could see the beach from the balcony. Clean towels and beds made every day. Only complaint would be the reception opening hours, but the hotel is very close to where you can collect/drop off your keys.
Very friendly and accommodating staff Can be a bit noisy on Fridays and Saturdays due to location.
The food at the hotel in which we ate La Torremar , it would seem that we were the only people staying in Las Americas The room was very small, could only open half the wardrobe because there was a bedside table jammed right up to the second half. There, could not use the drawers at all. The bed was extremely uncomfortable ans only one very small thin pillow.
